Hello again devs!
The hackathon where team devRant is going to participate is only one day out!
Today will be a lot of preparations, buying foods, caffeine (will need that for staying awake for about 40 hours approx), sports (promised this guy so this is gonna be fun). And last but not least, today I'll hear what the thing we're going to have to program is (a rough summary)!
The status/vlog page is nearly finished so I'll be statussing and vlogging tomorrow.
If anyone has any ideas as for the status page etc, please shoot away, there's going to be a chatish thingy as well =).21
Hi guys, I'm back!
I spent some time not using DevRant, I got a new phone and thought it would be better not to install it for some days. I had to do a lot of stuff for school these days and didn't want to geht distracted by amazing devs posting cool rants. So here I am, happy to see you all again. (Or at least your avatars)12
I landed myself an interview with a really great company for a DevOps intern position tomorrow.
Im really hopeful about this. The company truly seems like a great place to work with incredible opportunity to grow, and I desperately want to pursue a career in DevOps, but Im worried that Im underqualified. I lack true professional experience, and have really had no adequate time working with CI/CD tools, but I am very interested, excited and willing to work hard to become proficient.
Ive been prepping myself as much as I can in this last week (trying to gain familiarity with tools like jenkins, artifactory, chef etc), and so I ask to you, my fellow ranters (particularly DevOps), are there any final tips or bits of advice that I can take to really impress my interviewers and better my chances of getting this position?
Also, hello again to my old devRant pals~ I miss hanging around here and conversing with you great people13
Last month I called my employer from last summer (the same place I had my internship and still have untold stories from) and asked if they could use a summer employee. "Certainly" was the reply, and whatever date I give, I can start then.
On my way to a college tour Friday, I stopped by to say hello to my (again) co-workers. There were some new faces (including my replacement) but all were happy to have me back. They treated me as if I never left.
I start tomorrow on a different project. I am excited. And now that I have devRant in my life, I'm sure I'll have some stories to tell. Maybe this summer I won't have to send code I find to The Daily WTF. 😁
I'm back! I had to move and everything went to shit. Instead of being a proper person, I shut down. I think I'm ready for devrant again, you guys are awesome and motivate me so much.. I don't even know why I stopped being on here. Oh well.. Hello there!3
Hello there I am back again.
I deleted my account (doh) because I was in a moment where I wanted to eliminate all my accounts and sadly I removed this one too.
So I lost all my points..
By the way I am here again eady for listening new rants.
PS: For the admins even if my devrant profile is deleted google still tracks my old rants.. Can you do something about it?12
Hello world again! Long time no see.
I changed phone, so I've reinstalled devRant on my phone just now.
How have you been? Everything okay?
Yes, I know shit has gone down with this shitty virus. Hopefully, it'll die soon.
Until then, take care and stay safe.
Prioritize health, but still enjoy the good things in life where possible.
Glad to see you all again. 💙4
