Uggg..... I'm trying to encode a binary file in Python which may be an image or may be an executable, and then decode it back into a file (I plan on editing it in the middle, but baby steps for now..) but nothing is working!!

My plan is to:

Open binary file.

Decode as base64, or something else that could easily handle binary.

Convert byte data to string (for editory perpousos - I won't be editing bytes, I'll be doing custom encoding but that's irrelevant for this test)

Convert back to a byte string/array (with .encode(), probably)

Write to file.

I do this, yet the output has been altered... Though I haven't touched anything..

I'm wanting to try and develop an Android app, but I want to include Add and a paid version.. what's a good closed-source license? (I'm used to working with GPLv3)

I basically want to hold all rights and disallow modification and distribution.

Yesterday, the whole dev team went out to lunch and we ate a lot and we drank a lot until we all got drunk! Since we are paid for the number of hours we work, we all decided to go back to the office and work.

WE WERE DRUNK WORKING! Drunk coding ftw

Result: The server is down right now because someone fucked it up and I think i ruined my code yesterday because I wasn't really myself. The whole team was crazy as fuck. One of us just came back from Poland so we were drunk and high from all the polish chocolate we ate.

I hope they fix the server so I can check what kind of bullshit the drunken me did yesterday o.O

It seems like every time I settle in to work on a side project, some random bullshit problem occurs with my stack and I waste all my energy debugging that instead of what I wanted to do. *sigh*

Had mine for a few days, didn't think to post it.
Mine is a bit deep... As many of you don't know, I'm a aspireing writer. "Cyanite" is a character of my creation. She's basically a witch who plays god (a least in one of my stories). She's consitered to be a God of Mischief; Helping or hindering those she meets on a whim, purely for her own entertainment. Because of this, she is both prased and feared.

This saying essentially means that "A bad person can also do good, while still being bad." (Rather; you can't judge a person, and people are unprediactable.)

Even though I bragging about how good my few projects are to the people I talk to them about, I undervalue my worth as a developer.

Even though I am desperate for money, I've only recently started trying to get work in the dev community (with little success) because I actually feel that I'm not a good enough developer..
