When GitHub shows love.

I haven't created anything.

I follow(ed) many courses about programming (CodeCademy, Khan Academy, Udacity, Coursera...), but haven't created anything really personal (excluding robotics) and I feel sad.

I have lots of ideas but many of them require me to learn something new (iOS dev, Fluttr, ElectronJS etc.), and I'm scared of falling in the loop of just following courses and then never finishing projects.

This is WHY everyone hates Electron: the reason electronjs apps sucks and electron is cancer

My Teacher wouldn't understand the responsiveness of UI I designed and gave me 10pts for that.

I was told that my design is too unrealistic and idealistic for it to implement..
I used some css framework(to reduce the amount of work to be done) and javascript.

My dream is to become a web developer and make Desktop application with a use of ElectronJS(Currently devRantron is using).

One last thing... FUCK YOU, FOR GIVING ME A LOW SCORE FOR MY DESIGN.

Everytime I see something based on Electron it reminds me about things based on Eclipse. And neither one of thoose two should see it as a compliment to be compared to the other.

Ughh! ElectronJS apps are heavy and slow as shit! I wish, there was a better alternative

I just discovered electronjs and absolutely love it, even found that my fav ide vscode is build using electron on nodejs.

Just found out about ElectronJS.

Man! My frontend will be so much more good looking compared to my previous experiences with Desktop Apps with tkinter (in Python) or swing, awt (in Java)

... Wondering if it has any DISadvantages over the latter ones 🤔

I just want to burst out how i feel, after that I'll be back to my project in ElectronJS, so bear with my story :)

I observed from a friend of mine....

October will be their 2nd take Thesis project... same project, the only thing is they purchased the software and never understood any of the code. At the defense(Last Tuesday) they were caught, they made excuses. Database diagram that has many tables that are not connected, and only 1 "Many-to-many" relationship without associative table.

I know from the beginning that "she" will fail over and over until the time she really needed my help... She kept her pride, knowing that she is capable of being independent...
To be frank, It's really hard to become an independent person, I always ask advice for revising my code, explaning this function and many more. I'm not saying that its a karma for her. Let her lesson be learned from these past years.

Which CROSS PLATFORM Desktop App Development tool/framework do you use?
I've been using ElectronJS but I'm tired of it but I can't find any better alternative. If you know any better alternative please let me know. and please, do write why you think its better than ElectronJS
