Movie soundtracks -> everything I do today is working fine
Anime Openings/JPop -> in desperate need for motivation

Gotta love (video game) soundtracks for programming. They are most often instrumental which distracts the brain not so much from the task but make it easier (at least for me) to get in the zone. Especially with noise-cancelling headphones.
My favorite is all things Metroid, like that one:

I love hard rock, heavy metal, thrash metal... But I can't concentrate listening Metallica or Slayer. I used to study with electronic music, but really I don't like this music. Finally I found a solution. I'm listening videogames soundtracks like Diablo or Ocarina of Time and I feel better with myself.

What songs gets you in the zone?
I listened to witcher soundtracks, celtic music , irish pub music , metal, power metal ( all of the popular bands ) , folk rock but I started to get bored of them . I’m opened to everything that sounds good14 -

Gonna have to be instrumental music, be it movie soundtracks(Star Wars <3) or whatever randy dandy music I have, like Sabaton.
Also my never ending promise to myself to finally install a new Linux distro on my main machine with KDE Plasma.. dat stuff gooooood
