Do any of you notice changes between coding during the day and night?
I tend to listen to classical during the day, and the new DOOM soundtrack during the night to accompany my coding5 -
Underrated pleasure... Listening to Hans Zimmer (preferably the Batman v Superman soundtrack) and coding. Even a Hello World code will seem like a blueprint to world war33

The feel you get when u r listening to Interstellar docking scene soundtrack while writing a code and it compiles and run with no errors exactly the moment docking happens ! #goosebumps

Gotta love (video game) soundtracks for programming. They are most often instrumental which distracts the brain not so much from the task but make it easier (at least for me) to get in the zone. Especially with noise-cancelling headphones.
My favorite is all things Metroid, like that one:
https://youtube.com/watch/...
(and of course the Harmony of a Hunter albums).
What is your favorite (game or movie) soundtrack for programming?7 -
Listening to the Last of Us soundtrack when doing chill programming.
And Lamb of God for fast programming.
Rhythm matters to me. And you guys?11 -

Does someone else have that too?
Sometimes at night when I'm creating something new (or adding to something) and I get into that zone when stuff suddenly works better than expected or when the thing I'm making is just awesome, I feel a need to turn on "evil" music, such as music with deep voiced male choirs, the soundtrack of Portal 2, some classic music like those evol geniuses in movies or comparable.
It just makes me feel like I'm gonna destroy the planet once my evil creation is done. -
Best way to not get distracted by the one(s) sitting in nearby cubicle(s) and talking loudly on a multi-hour teleconference: HANS ZIMMER
P.S: Over-the-ear headphones & any of Hans soundtrack will work, esply Inception & Dark Knight !! -

So I really liked the movie Blindspotting from this summer. I originally watched it because the two main characters (and writers) are two of my favorite rappers, but it's a great fucking movie.
The way they're doing the soundtrack for the movie is basically releasing multiple EPs (honestly not 100% sure how long it's gonna go on). And I just found out that the second EP got released like a month ago. I've been listening to it and I fucking love it.
So nothing really important, I'm just really hype for this right now. -
whats your code sprint soundtrack? -- for me its alot of propeller heads, Crystal METHod, & Dual Core

Set — half-flooded city. Despite streets being three feet underwater, and, of course, filled with jellyfish, the city doesn’t seem to care. People go to work as usual. The protagonist is a special agent. His target is to find “the drain” and flush the water from the city. His enemies want to flood the city even more and are hiding “the drain”. Characters are almost silent. For the entire movie, only two lines are heard: “Where is the drain?” and “Jellyfish are everywhere, not just in the sea”. The soundtrack is an endless loop of “As he lost his mind,”, a line from Black Sabbath’s “Iron Man”. 30% of screen time is gruesome killings, torture and rape. 20% of the remaining time are long jellyfish sceneries. At some point, the protagonist notices the camera and kills the director. After that,2
