Co-employee in Slack: Let's get this bread
*1 hour later*
That guy: Bread has been acquired
Meanwhile me: *Forgot to eat breakfast and read the sentence wrong*
God I wish I was that guy3
Me: tried to HTML like a sad anime girl
(someone spots me)
Dude: yo you're good (I'm just making a bouncing ball in HTML in peace) wanna join our group?
Me: uh sure
(Finds out I just entered a coding competition group going to be sent somewhere minutes later after being added to the Telegram group)
I finally moved to Fedora Silverblue 30 which is a really awesome OS.
Silverblue Edition unlike the standard version, runs a immutable core. That means the entire FS is not writable except for certain parts that are mounted to /var. While this is limiting, this allows for atomic updates, which is the whole point of Silverblue.
Now this also might throw off even myself, because I might need to run VSCode in the host and I might need C++ libs. Fortunately there's a tool named toolbox that allows you to use standard DNF inside a OCI container. Now the thing is, now you need to tell your IDE to use it after installing it.
I wrote a little helper script to do just that. I wrote it primarily for VSCode but it should also work for your IDE if you happen to want to try to use Silverblue.
Helper script: https://t.co/sXYOgcwLBg?amp=1
Also if you wanna try Silverblue for yourself, here's some notes:
* To install apps, you need to run flatpak. Make sure you also have the flathub repo listed.
* don't use the Flatpak version of the IDEs. If possible, use the RPM versions. Silverblue allows you to install traditional packages (to some degree, not everything works in this thing because of the immutable design) in the host. So as much as possible if you need dev libs, use toolbox for those.
* Silverblue also comes with podman and buildah installed (aka what if Docker had no daemon and was more secure?)
*Do your updates via rpm-ostree upgrade, or turn the auto updater on if you're lazy
All in all I like this environment, I've used this kind of workspace before (Chrome OS), so its pretty easy for me to get used to.
What do you think guys, think you'll give it a shot?4
I finally got my new Smartphone after going there personally to the courier
Seriously the couriers were lazy piece of shits and they can't even deliver to my address when it's perfectly valid.
Like couriers from my local PO and from Lazada/Taobao can even get to my house, what the fuck2
I have spent 6 hours waiting for Chrome OS to build and my new smartphone to arrive.
It's 14:56 +0900 JST and there's no sign of the courier yet, Chrome OS still getting those packages built...
I hate the waiting game9
Instructor: "Alright you fresh meat, you're gonna do natural logarithm, factorial, and 2 to the power of N in C++"
My classmates: "Omg this is so hard"
So I literally made a Gentoo ebuild just to install a OEM wallpaper..
I really need to do something with my life7
New neighbor came in yesterday, she cute, and apparently she also goes to the same college as me, though... when she came in last night to thank me she thought I was doing something illegal
Neighbor: "What are those?"
Me: "Lemme ex-"
Neighbor: "Are you doing [hacky hacky uwu]?"
Me: "First before you get the wrong-"
Neighbor: "I'm call-"
Me: "This is a fucking weather sattelite reciever ffs"
Fast forward to today, landlady came in and immediately recognized my weather sattelite rig (I did it for a science fair before I graduated SHS), told neighbor she shouldn't worry because I have stuff like this everyday
God, if it wasn't for our landlady, I would have the police in my ass for neighbors getting the wrong idea...
Seriously nani the fuck19
So I have complained to our landlord about a noisy neighbor who keeps blasting shitty music at midnight, and technically its against the law as well, but this bitch ass joke of a human being ignored even the most highest of authority.
Seeing I can't solve it with democracy, I finally gave up with any reasonable type of way to restrain this motherfucker (even calling police didn't help) and went full asshole with him
I know his WiFi uses WPS PIN, but I'm not gonna throttle his network, I want to piss him off so much he'll regret living beside me, or at our place entirely.
So I performed a Evil Twin attack, I had my Raspberry Pi act as a both cloned AP and a deauther. Finally the plan came to effect.
I ran the deauther in his AP, effectively disconnecting his devices, and had the devices connect to the cloned network. The primary aim of my attack is to annoy this bitch ass to the point of no return. The project I used serves a website on the cloned AP like a update for his router. I intentionally made it run overnight, blasted Lo-fi hip hop and went to sleep. Before I dozed off, I can hear their scream of rage because they can't blast their music at full volume (waddaya guess, they use Spotify).
I finally woke up the next day, and I find neighbor complaining about me, and they were trying to tell the landlord I was hacking them. It's technically true but its not as bad as domestic disturbance for a full fucking week.
Landlord asked me if I did it, I declined, she believed me (I know she does because she knows I'm a pure soul unlike this mofo). Then he left frustrated, threatened to sue me for hacking.
I just smickered, he can't really prove anything unless I was being sloppy.
Nowadays I get good sleep and finally we live in a quite peaceful place now. Now you may ask, what happened to that guy? After he threatened me, the next night he found his things outside his own room, he was kicked out by the landlord.
Moral of the story: we ain't hating on your music taste but don't showcase it like its the most important thing in the world when everyone is sleeping. Case and point, don't be an asshole25
911 I would like to report a bruh momento
Their Chrome OS lab is shutting down due to a power outage2
Me starting a project: Okay I'm stuck with this project I'll just shelve this for now
[3 weeks later]
*comes back to project*
*find a solution with problem I came stuck with*
WHAT THE FUCK BRAIN WHY DID IT TAKE YOU 3 WEEKS TO HELP ME FIX SHIT WRYYYYY7
Oh boy its actually embarassing...
I was in a cosplay event, when I realized I only have 30 minutes till I check in for my first day in the job as a support agent.
I never had the time to change because of traffic and I was commuting so I spent the next 9 hours in side the company premises wearing a japanese schoolgirl uniform.
...I got quite everyone's attention, even the HR... ( well at least the HR just reprimanded me about that >_<)
Note to self: remember to give yourself 30 minutes more of allowance....39
So my mom told me I should stop playing games...
....When she literally saw me flashing OpenWrt in a Linksys router...
chotto matte nani sore12
Me: *give my reviewer about Unix in our Operating Systems lesson for the quiz*
The friend who I gave it:1
Me going insane minutes before midnight: I made a OpenWRT LXC container
(It's also in images.linuxcontainers.org)2
At this day, July 18 in Eastern timezones, one of the globally recognized animation studios in Japan, Kyoto Animation - more known as KyoAni, has been deliberately burned by an arsonist, and has claimed 20 lives and counting.
Please give a moment of silence for the fallen in KyoAni. All they wanted was to make people smile despite the low wage situation and Japan and this happens.9
From the Chromium mailing list:
TL;DR - 32 bit is no more (?)
Hi, chromium devs,
I will remove following 4 builders next week.
Linux Builder (dbg)(32)
Linux Tests (dbg)(1)(32)
For now, chromium does not support 32 bit Linux
and all 32 bit x86 devices for chromeos is EOL too.
Considering that, I was not able to find any reason we have builders for not supported platform now.
If you have any comments about this builder removal, please let me know.
I will start removing process of the builders next week if there is no concern from you.
Note: This removal does not include 32 bit android/windows/libfuzzer or other than chromium builders.

So I was watching Your Lie in April while waiting for Android to build
Let's just say that wasn't a pleasant experience after NDK OOM'ed the exact time the saddest part happened
IM NOT CRYING YOU'RE CRYING ;_;2
