This time I want to share with you something I am really proud of. As I love sailing (I've been sailing for a long time before I even had my driving license - for over a 20 years now), and I love old, classic, wooden yachts - this is the result of couple of years of work. My own oldtimer Jollenkreuzer 15er:

This is almost the same Jollenkreuzer that Albert Einstein received as a gift (despite the fact that he didn't know how to sail). Emir was built in 1953 and the renovation took over 5 years and it wouldn't be possible if not for my father.

Today I had the most f...g ABSURD and POINTLESS meeting with the client ever, that was arranged by the sales! I drove f...g 100km there and f...g 100km back to have a meeting that lasted about 20 minutes. And it's not even the worst yet. It turned out that I was not even the right person to be there. So guess what - the whole meeting boiled down to me making a phonecall on a loudspeaker to the f...g right person. I have wasted half a day and I HAVE OFFICIALY BECAME THE MOST EXPENSIVE PHONE HOLDER!! Not that I have not insisted a few times before to make a call to ensure that the meeting is necessary at all.

When scammers want to follow GDPR regulations - the worst SCAM ever 🤦‍♂️

Long story:
I have just received a SMS message, informing me that my phone number is in several marketing databases. It also had a link to the website called stop-sms.pl, where you're supposed to be able to unsubscribe from those lists. At this moment I felt a little bit confused - the SMS seemed suspicious, but on the other hand who doesn't want to get rid of all this SMS crap. So I carefully followed the link to see the website with a form to fill with personal data - phone number included 😆 If that is not enough to realize that this is just a lame scam website, just below the input where you enter the phone number there are Terms and Conditions where it directly states that: "By filling the form you agree that your personal data (name, email, phone number) will be used for marketing purposes." - WTF?!

Who the f... gets fooled by such crap?! 😂😂😂

Today, a friend of mine sent me a great text about the laziness and complete lack of care for efficiency and simplicity in software development industry. I totally agree with the author, and encourage you guys to read it, and give it a deep thought:

THREE DAYS of debugging, reading all the logs I could find, creating tens of new logs in our appliaction, and SUDDENLY an email from your IT admin:

"Hey your CURL requests are being rejected by my !oh so secure! firewall rule".

Not that I haven't said at the beggining, that THIS IS YOUR F...G NETWORK PROBLEM because we get "connection reset by peer" errors, and you ASSURED that everything is CHECKED and OK!

@dfox please make avatar like the attached one, as for the moment I can't decide what to shave - my beard or my moustache 😉

Stop trying to do better than client expects. Never ends good - no one will appreciate your efforts, and it often creates unnecessary misunderstandings.

I still keep these to show my to kids one day. I wonder how many of you remember this?
