who else cannot concentrate on learning/work when your country is in a war with aggressors? because i can't 😥🇦🇲29

hello. i'm a software engineer with about 4 years of experience, worked with c++.
a couple of months ago i started learned web dev, and now i have learned html and css, next is js.
i'd like to ask advice what on how to proceed, what to learn next? should i learn or build something? follow tutorials?
thanks8 -
anyone else having a project and getting behind schedule and working overtime and still not getting it done?
no? it's okay, i know it's only me so dumb :(6 -
a girl from my class made a presentation and it was really good, and now i'm thinking "how did she do it? what came to her mind that she could prepare such a good presentation?"
and also, "i know that no matter how much i try, my presentations will not be that good, because those are MY presentations"...13 -
project time is a tough time (especially deadlines!).
but project time is learning time and a growth time.
so it doesn't discourage me! -
exactly the day when holidays/vacations start, my laptop doesn't boot, nothing helps...
and only on january 8 we're back at work so i could take it to IT guys to repair it.... UGH! :(2 -
another fail. this time during uni diploma defense. i'm the most unlucky person i swear. i didn't speak very confidently and got 93/100. those who were confident, got 100... #3002

after learning design patterns i realize that when they write "builder" on your profile picture, they actually have written the name of the design pattern used to implement that part D

why don't they like the interns at work? one little mistake, and you're fucked. everyone thinks you weren't a good choice to work on that team. they think if i'm an intern (and especially - a girl) then i'm dumb... like??? honestly, it makes me feel so bad and i myself start to feel like i'm truly dumb :(8

it's 1:30am and i'm working and i feel more productive and peaceful working this way (when there's no one and i can concentrate better). this is the developer life? i love it!4

i don't understand how to do my assignment at work. i don't ask anyone. and i'm crying. gonna get fired soon lol5

software development is a great thing... when you're the only one working on the project. otherwise everyone writes their part of the code, and you don't feel "in full control" of the codes and software. i hate that feeling.1

the first days of going to your first work is one of the hardest phases for a programmer/developer. who else can relate? advice?1

recently i discovered edmonds-karp implementation of ford-fulkersion method (to solve my coursework problem) and i can't get over how beautifully it works!
-
i have to choose an instructor for my university final project and i'm gonna choose the teacher who is strict and always gives tasks on which i spend time to think and do researches and learn new things, because i like this kind of pressure and i like being pushed to my limits and to discover what i am capable of doing!2

(a question)
so in my city there's an opportunity for some
tech university students to attend extra programming classes for a year (12 hours/week). they'll teach many things: (advanced) data structures, databases, oses, computer networks, compilers, making games, data analytics etc. is it worth attending or i should just write down those topics in a to-do list and learn them by myself? i've never attended such courses so i don't know if they are useful or not. thanks for taking the time to read this :)6 -
on an interview the interviewer said that there's a question on the test that seems simple but actually has a more sophisticated solution. and all i thought of and wrote was a simple solution. hmm1
-
when you actually start to understand something, that topic seems easier than you thought it was before learning

the feeling of knowing your thing so well that whenever you talk everyone is like "this girl knows what she's talking about", is worth fighting for!1
-
that moment when you try to write as "high-level" code as you can because you're gonna send it to your teacher :D3
-
i thought of a way to implement a stack using two queues, but then i searched on the internet and, as always, found a better version there - using a single queue... will there ever be a day when i can actually think and write those efficient algorithms myself, without looking on the internet? :(2

i love to actually understand how the code works! like you're writing some text and surprise - it does magic? no. it goes deeper than that. and when you understand those concepts, coding becomes more serious/fun and interesting1
