Jesus Christ. Dagger2's documentation has got to be the most convoluted shit I have ever laid my eyes on.
The sheer mental gymnastics I had to do to get through this one line at 2:30 am...11 -
Interviewer : So what frameworks and library you usually use?
Me : i use volley for networking, gson for parsing, livedata/architecture components for architecture and observability , room for database and java for app development
I : ok so make this sample app using retrofit for networking, moshi for parsing, mvrx for architecture , rx for observability , sqldelight for db, dagger2 and kotlin for app dev. You have 8 hours
Me :(wtf?) But i never used those libs or language!
I : we just want to check how easily you adapt to different surroundings.
Me : -_-
Honestly i don't know of it was a great experience or a bad one . I was stressed the whole time but was able to adapt to almost all of those libraries and frameworks.
At the end i got selected but decided not to go for those ppl. That was just a lucrative opening of a venus fly trap, they would have stressed the hell out of me11 -
Debugging yor server code for over an hour only to find out that you were using "var/.." instead of "/var/.." 😐😐1

Feels like dagger2 is a stabbing tool for android devs.. the more you try to understand, the more it hurts you 😢 Trying to understand basics. Every tutorial is another story... HELL..!! 😠

Going out with my mate to celebrate his end of exams when in truth I want to stay at home and work through the androidMVP Dagger2/Retrofit2/RxJava tutorials :/ -
Gone are the days when I did getActivity().shit() in a Fragment. Thanks to MVP and Dagger2. #Android1

FFS what is the standard with dependency injection with Android. Is it dagger2 or kodein. Last 2 days googling about and it seems like it's dagger2 yet others say it's kodein. Kodein is newer I guess so less written about it. Seems like every 2 weeks it's something new. No wonder I can't pick this up. It changes faster than Trump can fricken tweet.
Like first mvc then mvp then mvvm then mvi what's next mve? 😵
So flustered. As last post I feel like giving up. Every time you try to learn some new "standard" creeps out from CS major ass crack. Is it the same for IOS. Maybe I should sell a kidney for a Mac book.1 -
Hey android devs ! Just learned MVP architecture and some libs ( Dagger2, rxjava, retrofit) now can anyone explain why do i need 'testing' and how does it benefit and what should i know about it ?3
