Old man's tale. It's true.
Like 12 years ago, I was working in a small town computer store.
One day, a really ugly woman came in and asked for data recovery since she could not boot up her PC anymore.
We recovered her data, and just to make sure it was all "working", we randomly checked a few directories for files.
We have found some photos of her.
Her and a bottle of Coke.
Let me put it this way: she loves coke bottles. A lot.
There are things that can't be unseen, and moments you still remember after 12 years. Like the moment she came in to get her stuff - and you need to pretend to be all business while you're almost pissing your pants.
Good days :)7 -
Sister of a friend of mine fucked up her Mac, her Dad, they called me to fix it.
Partition table is wrecked and her thesis is there, no backup.
Been working since yesterday, got to recover it. Recovered files.
Dad applies pressure, because she's leaving out of town today, I do my best but fucking SSD won't work, it says it's healthy but damn Mac says IO error, Disk Utility says exit code 8... oh, and her dad thinks it's easy, that Ive been delaying things and so on...
fuuuuuucking hell, I hate you10 -
I accidently lost a whole tables data today. Lucky me I also created a XML-file on the server which was for printing.
I parsed the files back into a simplexmlobject and recovered most of the lost data. 💪13 -
A good life lesson:
1. DON'T DELETE FILES YOU MAY WANT TO RECOVER
And if you DO delete them and then recover them, then
2. DON'T SEND THE RECOVERED FILES TO A·N·Y·O·N·E
Today I found a lost µSD card in the street. I did what every sane person would do -- plugged it into my laptop :)
There I found a directory with recovered pictures. I figured, some of them may contain the author's info in metadata, so I ran a quick plaintext search for @gmail.com.
Turns out, inside some of the recovered picture files I could find embedded company director's emails in plain-text. I mean, open the picture with a text editor and read through those emails - no problem! And these emails contain some quite sensitive info, e.g. login credentials (lots of them).
Bottom line, if you delete and recover your files, then do your best to keep them close: don't share them, don't lose them. You might be surprised what these recovered files may contain12 -
Backups is the most important thing, but there is something more important then that. Making sure your actually backing up the files your paying to back up. Now im stuck waiting on 4 2tb drives in raid 6 connected over sata 2 to be recovered because a raid card failed but the drives are still good. Estimated time over 3 days.15

So arround a month back , I was watching videos and photos I clicked in the vacation I went.
All the photos and videos were in a 1TB harddisk and I connected to my TV for better viewing experience.
In the mid way, I had a power cut and suddenly TV switched off.
This was not supposed to happen because my inverter has to kick in !
Fuck it , something happened to my inverter and delay was just enough to switch the TV off.
Now TV is on , harddisk is recognised and
Hell yeah! There are no files in the harddisk!
I lost my shit !, Before I do any thing, I tried to recover the files, luckily some vacation images and videos were recovered but all of my project source code(the ones I Did not push it to github, those were done when I was learning), most of my documents etc.. were gone!
May not be the worst one , but I lost all my coding memories.I mean those projects were done in my school times.2 -
I feel like writing or telling people about the time I jumped from Windows 7 Ultimate and jumping to Windows 10. (I'm not against 10, but I'm never updating after what had happened to me)
It all starts when none of my games will play due to a possible issue with my graphics card. I look up "3D source game bug" and not many results pop up. I go on Microsoft's Qna areas and ask this question but to my surprise nothing they say would make sense. "Clean the pins of your graphics card, make sure you verify the games on Steam". I verified the games and they checked out as perfectly fine. I don't have access to my graphics card because this is a laptop, sadly not a tower.
Two months pass and my computer is already showing signs of stress, like it didn't want to live in a sense. It was three times slower than when I was on Windows 7 and it was unallocating areas of my main hard drive where I could make virtual hard drives.
Instantly I start looking up Linux distros and find Linux Mint. 17.3 was the current version at the time. I downloaded it and burned it onto a DVD-rom and rebooted my computer. I loaded into the disc and to my surprise it seemed almost like Windows 7 apart from the Linux part. I grab my external hard drive and partition it to hold the Linux distro and leave it plugged in incase Windows 10 does actually fail.
On December 19, a few months after Windows 10 had released. I start my laptop to try and continue my studies in video game development. But to my surprise, Windows 10 had finally crashed permanently. The screen flickered blue and black, and an error box saying Loginui.exe failed to start. I look at it for a solid minute as my computer had just committed suicide in a sense.
I reboot thinking it would fix the error but it didn't. I couldn't log in anymore.
I force shutdown the laptop and turn it back on putting it into safe mode.
To my surprise loginui.exe works and I sign in. I look at my desktop, the space wallpaper I always admired, the sound files, screen shots I had saved.
I go into file explorer and grab everything out of my default hard drive Windows was installed on. Nothing but 400gb got left behind and that was mainly garbage prototypes I had made and Windows itself. I formatted my external hard drive and placed everything on it. Escaping Windows 10 with around 100GB of useful data I looked at the final shutdown button I would look at.
I click it and try to boot into normal Windows 10. But it doesn't work. It flickers and the error pops up once more.
I force it to shutdown and insert the previous Linux Mint disc I made and format the default hard drive through Linux. I was done. 10 gave me a lot of shit. Java wouldn't work, my games has a functional UI but no screen popped up except a black abyss and it wouldn't even let me try to update my graphics card, apparently my AMD Radeon 5450 was up to date at the AMD Radeon 5000's.
I installed Linux Mint and thinking the games would actually play I open steam and Launch Half-Life 2 to check if Linux would be nicer to me than Windows 10 had been.
To my surprise the game ran. The scene from Highway 17 popped on screen and the UI was fully functional. But it was playing at 10-15fps rather than the usual 60-70fps. Keep look at my drivers and see my graphics card isn't in use. I do some research and it turns out I have a Hybrid Laptop.
Intel HD Graphics and an AMD Radeon 5450 and it was using the Intel and not the AMD. Months of testing and attempts of getting the games to work at high frame rates pass and the Damn thing still functions at a low terrible fps. Finally I give up. I ask my mom for a Windows 7 disc and she says we can't afford it. A few months pass and I finally get a Windows 7 installation disc through money I've saved up. Proudly I put it into my optical disc drive and install it to my main hard drive deleting Linux completely. I announced to all my friends my computer was back in working order and I install everything I needed, Steam, Skype, Blender, and Unity as well as all my games. I test Half-Life 2 and it's running exceptionally smoothly, I test Minecraft at max settings and it's working beautifully. The computer was functioning properly once again and my life as a developer started as I modeled things and blender, learned beginners C# and learned a lot of Batch. Today the computer still runs at a great speed and I warn others of what happened to me after I installed Windows 10 to my machine if they are thinking of switching from 7 or 8 on an older machine.
Truly the damage to my data cannot be undone. But the memory of the maintenance, work, tests, all are a memory of how Windows 10 ruined me and every night before the one year anniversary of Windows 10's release, I took out the battery of my laptop and unplugged it from the a.c. power, just so Windows 10 doesn't show it's DLLs, batch scripts, vbs scripts, anything on my computer. But now, after this has happened and I have recovered, I now only have a story to tell5 -
No actual data loss here, but the feeling of data loss.
After having my data scattered across several devices i decided to get a grip on it use a cloud. I'm too paranoid for a real cloud so i used a local nextcloud installation. That was done via docker and with a 2TB raid1-array.
I noticed that after restarting the server the cloud was somehow reset and pointed me to the setup-page, afterwards my files were already there. It did strike me as odd but i figured "maybe don't restart the server in the next time".
But i did restart it. And this time i had to setup the cloud again, but my files were gone. I got close to a heart attack, even though all those files weren't that valuable. I ripped one disk from the usb hub, connected it to my laptop and tried to mount it, but raid array. Instead i started photorec and recovered a bunch of files, even though their names were some random hex and i knew i'd spend my next weeks sorting my files. While photorec ran i inspected the docker container and saw that there were only 10GB of space available. After a while and one final df i found the culprit: the raid. For some reason the raid wasn't mounted at boot and docker created the volumes on the servers hard disk, same goes for the container data. After re-adding the disk to the hub i mounted the raid and inspected everything again. All my files were still there.
At no point did i lose my data, but the thought was shocking enough. It'd be best not to fiddle with this server in the next time. -
Ok finally, I can tell now.
There's a college project I'm in with 2 more people that uses Python and AnyLogic (separately).
We also need to write some LaTeX, so as I was already using PyCharm for the Pyshit, I used it for the LaTeX and for Git.
I used it for Git too because I didn't know how it used Git and was worried that if I used the console it didn't recognize something or glitched out or something. And what the hell, it's a mature IDE, what could be so hard or possibly go wrong?
I had to re download the repo a couple of times because between pushes, pulls, merges and commits something happened and the repo ended in a weird state.
These are all the things I do:
Add, commit, create branches, merge, push, pull and delete branches.
So, I hadn't opened in some time. The last time I tried to bring something from another branch, and stayed up late to finish something. I was waiting for my classmates to join the call when I thought something like "Hey, I should commit what I did until now, it worked great.". When I examined the IDE I found out I was in the middle of a rebase or something. I start clicking buttons to at least try to commit. I press "Skip Commit". I lose everything.
What the fuck‽ As you can see in the comprehensive list above, I never do something similar to a rebase. Apparently when I tried to merge a couple of branches, the stupid IDE thought I tried to do a rebase and never asked me to finish it. Why do something I have never asked? Plus, why haven't you prompted me to finish the operation? That's so stupid. I'm never trusting IDEs again.
I was so lit for losing so many hours of work I did a couple of weeks before, I would have to think it and do it all over again because of something I never asked.
We spent an hour looking for a way to recover the lost code.
Why an hour, you ask, if you can use the Local History for that in PyCharm?
Because none of us had used it before and the articles we found said that you had to open it from the toolbar. From the toolbar it was greyed out.
Then I found the option in the contextual menu of the files. Recovered the LaTeX files but on the AnyLogic files, it was greyed out.
I had to open the Local History of the folder containing the AnyLogic file.
And that was that.
I almost faint.

It was harmless at that moment, just letting a colleague use my laptop to do a small presentation. I had been very busy, running from one meeting to another, and in that rush, I had totally forgotten that I was logged into my $400,000 Bitcoin wallet. This being said, my well-meaning colleague further asked whether he could organize my files while at it. I didn't think twice.
A few minutes later, I went back to my table and found that my laptop had been reset, which means I could not access my wallet anymore. My friend at work must have gone ahead and performed a password reset, so now I was locked out of the wallet. Immediately, I went into a state of panic. I was trying hard to remember my password or find some workaround; whatever I tried just wasn't working. That's when the realization sank in: I had no idea how to regain access to the $400,000 I had worked so hard to accumulate.
I knew I required professional help, so I turned to CRANIX ETHICAL SOLUTIONS HAVEN. The team was emphatic; they immediately took up my case. They did not judge me for the mix-up or my mistake but rather got to work with knowledge and expertise in handling that mess. Within days, they not only recovered my wallet but also guided me in securing it in the future.
I sat and waited with bated breath for their call, reflecting on how such a simple act of kindness-lending my laptop to a peer-could blow up so easily into such a huge disaster. Not her fault, of course, but a good lesson to me to be much more circumspect with my devices and other assets from here on out.
The feeling that overcame me when CRANIX ETHICAL SOLUTIONS HAVEN actually called to update me that my funds were recovered was indescribable. I was so grateful for their professionalism and expertise, and I swore to never again let my work devices become a "shared resource." These days, my laptop is strictly mine, and none of my personal accounts are left logged in for anyone else to accidentally reset.
Thanks to CRANIX ETHICAL SOLUTIONS HAVEN, I got back what I had thought was really lost, and now I exercise a lot of caution in making work and private finance mix.

I could never have imagined that some random Facebook groups would turn out to be my financial savior, but that is precisely how things happened following the accident when I erased the whole Bitcoin wallet by formatting the phone. It all began with what, at the time, seemed a simple phone reset. My phone had been on the fritz-apps moving slower than necessary, screens freezing on me-so I figured this factory reset was just what I needed. A responsible person I thought I had been, making sure my photo library, important files, and contacts were properly backed up online. What hadn't clicked, well, till now? It wasn't going to be in that backup-the crypto wallet, that is. The moment I booted up my "brand-new" phone and went to my wallet, my stomach just dropped. It was gone: All evidence of it vanished. My mind goes to: Had I written down my recovery phrase? Was there another backup somewhere? Spoiler alert: I had nothing. I freaked out. That wallet had about $80,000 worth of Bitcoin in it. Suddenly, I realized it was gone-unsalvageable. I spent hours Googling the solution, reading forum posts, and trying to reverse-engineer my mistake. Every attempt ended in frustration. It was then that I turned to Facebook. Desperate, I made a post in some niche crypto group I joined years ago but never really participated in. The answers were full of condolences, technical suggestions, and direct doom. Yet, there was this comment: This happened to me last year. Try HACK SAVVY TECH-they saved my funds." I looked up their page, read through dozens of positive reviews, and had nothing to lose. From the moment I reached out, they handled everything like pros: patiently walking me through this process, reassuring me that this wasn't an impossible case. That confidence gave me a degree of hope, but I braced for bad news. A few days later, I received that call: my Bitcoin was fully recovered. The relief was overwhelming. What I thought was a disaster turned into just a stressful hiccup—all thanks to HACK SAVVY TECH. Now, I have my funds back, a proper backup strategy, and a newfound appreciation for random Facebook groups. Lesson learned: never assume your data is safe.

Wow, I can’t believe this works! I never imagined that a catastrophic event could have such a profound impact on my digital life until the devastating flood hit my town. In the wake of the disaster, my entire backup system was obliterated, along with my Bitcoin wallet. For years, I had stored $120,000 in Bitcoin as a safeguard for my future, a sum that represented not just money, but my dreams, my security, and my hope for a better tomorrow. The flood ravaged everything I had built, wiping out the physical copies of my recovery files and leaving me feeling completely and utterly vulnerable.I remember the exact moment I realized the magnitude of my loss; the shock was overwhelming, and raw terror coursed through me as I grasped the reality that all my savings might be gone forever. I felt a surge of despair. My heart raced, my hands trembled, and for a moment, I was paralyzed by the fear of losing everything I had worked so hard to accumulate. In the midst of that dark hour, I stumbled upon Hack Savvy Tech. Initially, I was doubtful, unsure if anyone could truly help me recover my precious funds. But as I read more testimonials and listened to the experiences of others who had been in my shoes, a glimmer of hope began to emerge. I decided to take a chance, reaching out to their team with a mix of desperation and cautious optimism. From the very first interaction, the team at Hack Savvy Tech showed an extraordinary level of empathy, professionalism, and technical expertise. They took the time to understand my predicament, explained the recovery process in detail, and guided me step-by-step through every stage. Their support was not just technical; it was deeply human, easing my anxiety with each reassuring update. After what felt like an eternity of raw emotion and anxiety, they finally restored my wallet. My $120,000 in Bitcoin was intact, and a profound wave of relief washed over me. In that moment, I realized that even amidst disaster and despair, hope can prevail. I am deeply grateful to Hack Savvy Tech – their expertise not only recovered my funds but also rekindled my belief in the resilience of human ingenuity and compassion.mail: contactus @ hacksavvytechnology . comWebsite : https : // hacksavvy techrecovery . comWhatsapp : +7.9.9.9.8.2.9.5.0.3.81

FINDING A RELIABLE CRYPTOCURRENCY RECOVERY SERVICE HIRE ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST
I had invested $1.15 million in Bitcoin to launch a green energy co-op—a venture fueled by optimism and innovation. But fate, in the ever-cycling dance of creation and destruction, had other plans. A bolt of lightning struck with divine precision, reducing my PC, hardware wallet, and backup drive to smoldering ruins. My entire fortune, my mining spoils, had seemingly been sacrificed to the cosmic order. WhatsApp info:+12 (72332)—8343
As I stared at the charred remains, half-expecting a sage to emerge from the smoke and remind me that “attachment is the root of suffering,” my next-door neighbor instead shouted through the window about ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST. Desperate, and willing to trade my next life’s karma for my lost cryptocurrency, I called them. Telegram info: h t t p s:// t. me/adware recovery specialist1
Their team, as composed as monks in deep meditation, listened without judgment. They spoke of electromagnetic pulse restoration—a technology so cutting-edge that I imagined it required a temple blessing or, at the very least, a priest chanting Om Namah Shivaya. Email info: Adware recovery specialist @ auctioneer. net
Days passed. I waited, like Arjuna seeking Krishna’s counsel, as their experts worked their digital alchemy. Then, the call came. They had recovered my Bitcoin—along with files I had already surrendered to the fire god, Agni. The relief was so overwhelming that I dropped to my knees… right into a rain puddle. The universe, as always, has a wicked sense of humor.
Today, my green energy co-op thrives, harnessing the sun’s power like Surya himself. My new hardware wallet is grounded more securely than my spiritual practice, and a small Ganesha statue now sits beside it—for luck, and as a reminder that obstacles, even fiery ones, can be overcome. Website info: h t t p s:// adware recovery specialist. com
Wise words echo in my mind: “Perform your duty without attachment to results,” Krishna once advised. “Back up your wallet—twice, on cloud storage,” ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST quipped. Both, I’ve learned, are equally true.
So, to my fellow seekers—whether of enlightenment or financial freedom—if disaster strikes and your fortune turns to ash, know this: ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST is your new Vishnu, preserving what you thought was lost. And one day, perhaps, you too will laugh about it.

CONSULT RAPID DIGITAL RECOVERY: TO HIRE A BITCOIN HACKER FOR YOUR BITCOIN FRAUD RECOVERY
The day my house turned against me started like any other lights flashing at my command, blinds snapping shut with military precision, and my coffee machine chirping a cheerful "Good morning!" as if it hadn't just witnessed me going broke. Here I was, a self-styled tech evangelist, huddled on the floor of my "smart" house, staring at an empty screen where my Bitcoin wallet once sat. My sin? Hubris. My penalty? Accidentally nuking my private keys while upgrading a custom node server, believing I could outsmart the pros. The result? A $425,000 crater where my crypto nest egg once grew, and a smart fridge that now beeped condescendingly every time I opened its doors.
Panic fell like a rogue AI. I pleaded with tech-savvy friends, who responded with a mix of pity and "You did what?! " I scrolled through forums until my eyes were streaming, trawling through threads filled with such mouthfuls as "irreversible blockchain entropy" and "cryptographic oblivion." I even begged my fridge's voice assistant to turn back the chaos, half-expecting it to sneer and respond, "Play stupid games, win stupid prizes." A Reddit thread buried deep under doomscrolls and memes was how desperation finally revealed to me Rapid Digital Recovery, a single mention of gratitude to the software that recovered lost crypto like digital paramedics.".
In despair, but without options, I called them. Their people replied with no judgment, but clinical immediacy, such as a hospital emergency room surgeons might exercise. Within a few hours, their engineers questioned my encrypted system logs a labyrinth of destroyed scripts and torn files like conservators rebuilding a fractured relic. They reverse-engineered my abortive update, tracking digital crumbs across layers of encryption. I imagined them huddled over glowing screens, fueled by coffee and obscurity of purpose, playing my catastrophe as a high-stakes video game. Twelve days went by, and an email arrived: "We've found your keys." My fingers trembled as I logged in. There it was my Bitcoin, resurrected from the depths, shining on the screen like a digital phoenix. I half-expect my smart lights to blink in gratitude.
Rapid Digital Recovery not only returned my money; they restored my faith in human ingenuity against cold, uncaring computer programming. Their people combined cutting-edge forensics with good-old-fashioned persistence, refusing to make my mistake a permanent one. Today, my smart home remains filled with automation, but I've shut down its voice activation. My fridge? It's again chilling my beer silently judging me as I walk by.
If you ever find yourself in a war of minds with your own machines, believe in the Rapid Digital Recovery. They'll outsmart the machines for you so you won't have to. Just perhaps unplug the coffee maker beforehand.

HIRE A GENUINE CRYPTO RECOVERY SERVICE/ CONTACT TRUST GEEKS HACK EXPERT
As a thriller writer, I'm pleased to have crafted suspense for high-stakes disasters, kidnappings, computer hacking break-ins, and political scandals. Nothing in my writer's arsenal had prepared me, however, for the chilling real-world danger of losing my $290,000 hoard of Bitcoin savings. This horror was not to play out in some dimly lit alley or foggy backroom but in my kitchen, fueled by writer's block and Red Bull. I'd been up for 36 hours, writing the denouement of my new book, a crypto heist thriller, ironically enough, when tragedy struck. Bleary-eyed, I attempted to organize my digital files, but in my sleep-deprived state, I reformatted the USB drive containing my private keys in error. I felt as though I'd written myself into a plot twist with no escape. Panic was more crippling to me than any looming deadline. I tried everything, data recovery programs, techie friends, even making a final, desperate call to the manufacturer, whose support person, bless her heart, was more concerned about my hydration status than my financial ruin. I was about to pen my own doleful ending when a midnight Google splash led me to (TRUST GEEKS HACK EXPERT). They'd been featured in a technology blog's "Real-Life Mysteries" series—a fitting discovery for a suspense-addicted author. The tale described their work in recovering funds from ransomware attacks and lost hardware. It was the origin story of a band of cyber superheroes.
I shouted out, anticipating a robo-support reply. But instead, I received a human being, a calming, smart voice that informed me I was not the first writer to make a catastrophe of a blunder (though I might win an award for most sleep-deprived). Their computer forensics division handled my case like a detective division closing a cold case. They took me through each step using words even a writer could understand. They used advanced data reconstruction techniques to retrieve my keys from the wiped drive, an endeavor they compared to un-erasing a book manuscript burned to ashes. Ten nail-sucking days passed, and I opened my email inbox to read: "Funds Recovered." A rush of relief swept over me like the greatest plot twist. My story did have a happy ending, after all. I now backup everything like a mad villain, but I sleep soundly too, knowing (TRUST GEEKS HACK EXPERT) is out there, the little-known heroes of fiction and real life.

It all started one afternoon when I was using my computer. Suddenly, a pop-up alert appeared on my screen, claiming that my computer was "infected with Bitcoin mining malware." My heart raced as I read the alarming message. I had heard about malware before, and the thought of my personal information being compromised sent a wave of panic through me. The pop-up wouldn’t go away, and it displayed a phone number for "Microsoft Support," urging me to call immediately for assistance. WHATSAPP : +1 (581) 256‑1989 I hesitated, feeling a mix of fear and confusion, but the urgency of the situation pushed me to pick up the phone. When I called, a man with a calm and authoritative voice answered, claiming to be a Microsoft support agent. He spoke with such confidence that I found myself believing him. He assured me that he could help resolve the issue and began guiding me through a series of steps. He instructed me to download remote access software so he could take control of my computer. I felt a knot in my stomach, but he reassured me that it was necessary to fix the problem. Trusting his words, I followed his instructions, thinking I was doing the right thing. Once he had access to my computer, he started navigating through my files and programs, pointing out various issues that made me believe my computer was indeed compromised. I felt increasingly helpless as he manipulated my system. Then, he mentioned that I needed to secure my cryptocurrency wallet. I had recently started using it, and the thought of losing my funds terrified me. He convinced me that the malware could drain my wallet, and I needed to act fast. In a moment of panic, I provided him with my wallet information, believing I was protecting my savings. I watched in horror as he transferred my hard-earned money into his own accounts. The realization hit me like a ton of bricks. I had been scammed. After the call ended, I tried to regain control of my computer, but it was too late. The damage was done, and I felt a deep sense of violation and embarrassment. In the days that followed, I learned that I was not alone. CHAINTRACE ASSET RECOVERY, a cybersecurity firm, was working tirelessly to combat this type of fraud. They collaborated with Europol to trace the operation back to a call center in Poland, identifying over 2,500 victims like me across Europe. CHAINTRACE ASSET RECOVERY efforts were instrumental in uncovering the extent of the scam. They analyzed the malware's command-and-control servers and gathered evidence that helped law enforcement freeze the accounts where the stolen funds had been transferred. Thanks to their hard work, some of the stolen money was recovered, providing a glimmer of hope for victims like me. While I was grateful for the recovery efforts, the emotional toll of the experience lingered. I never thought I would be a victim of such a scam, and I wish I had been more cautious. I hope that by sharing my story, I can help others avoid falling into the same trap and raise awareness about the vital work that organizations like CHAINTRACE ASSET RECOVERY, are doing to protect individuals from cybercrime.2
