Sooo win has updated itself (in a short 6 hours) and I was wondering what eats my pocket pc's 4 gb ram, so i checked, and turns out system is eating 40-50% of it and its processor ever since the update... *Sigh* Awesome....

I took a Computer ethics class some time ago, and at some point, we talked about honesty in Computer Science.

There was one thing that bothered me that we never had the chance to touch on, but how do I know that the button I'm clicking is doing what I want it to do?

I mean seriously there is really nothing that is stopping someone from making fake buttons that pretend to do what they say they are doing. I might be uninstalling something on my computer, but can I "really" trust that the software was "completely" removed?

As a developer I always strive for honesty, but that doesn't mean other people are.

How do you guys deal with this?

Nothing else has managed to dissovle gravity in 0.2 seconds making the object fly through space as those errors have made laptops do since the dawn of time.

If I was to create a movie in which there should be a scene with a hacker in front of his computer, I'd never hire professional designers and animators to create fancy videos that can be played back on the computer said hacker is working on. Instead, I'd just run make on the Linux kernel, unplug the keyboard and let the actor hit it as fast as he can. Should look professional enough.

Are we actually able to measure if a person drank enough by any means? Like wouldn't it be nice if smart watches actually tell you that you need to drink something to keep you healthy instead of just reminding in set intervals?
