Those LAN port splitter are getting out hand

Went to a shop to buy bubble plastic envelopes (gotta send something carefully).

Walked out with a new Bluetooth music headset, couple of charging cables, Ethernet cable and a music input splitter and also those envelopes.

my ISP set up a coax cable splitter with all 3 ends disconnected, and my internet is running through a parallel pair uninsulated phone line.

Last year, we got a new DOCSIS modem from our ISP (Puma6-chipset, nuff said, not allowed to replace it with a proper one).
With this replacement modem came a splitter (to split internet signals from TV signals), keep this in mind for later.
It worked alright for a while, but fast forward to last Januari, our internet started acting up because the modem kept randomly rebooting.

So we had 3 maintenance workers come by already.
The first one replaced the wallplug.
The second one replaced the wallplug, saying that the previous maintenance worker did a shit job.
The third one replaced the splitter.

Now, later that evening, we got an email... stating that the costs would be 50 euro...
Ehm... what?

So I went to contact their customer servers and they said "but the splitter is part of the indoor installation. So if this splitter causes a malfunction, the maintenance worker will charge you for the visit".

So these fucking assholes give me a defective splitter and charge us to have it replaced?
They can suck my big black.

Still going on with the dispute now because that is some top level bullshit.
"What if it wasn't the fault of the splitter? Am I gonna get my money back?"

Hey I want to ask some react project suggestion that are good for interview as an experienced web developer. I don't want to build calculator :(

Me: So on the end of the other two hoses you have two spray nozzles; one for each hose. Now one nozzle is from company A and the other is from company B. Both nozzles share some spray types on the heads, but there are a few heads on A that B doesn't have and vice versa.

Me: Those spray heads are Windows Live Mail and Thunderbird. They receive your mail from the same place, like the water, but they have different features. Does that makes sense?

Anyone with 2 monitors (or more) with laptop as the primary source. How did you connect everything together? Also, I use Linux (Antergos)

I bought 2 monitors. I was able to connect one of them to my laptop with HDMI. Now, my laptop only has one HDMI and no VGA. So I can't really figure how to use 2 monitors with my laptop (also extending it and not duplicating screens).

I've come across HDMI splitter. But I don't if it allows extending screens

Microservices in real life:
You have 4 different project opened in IDE simultaneously editing all of them to make something to work.
All projects share same db.
Basically this is monolith but splitter to different git repos.
Communicating one another via http calls or directly altering shared db tables.
Everyone is happy until solution goes to production then :
Solution doesn't scale because db is a bottleneck.
Services can be unavailable for 1-2s so some processes are left in unfinished state forever, because everyone assume 99,9% SLA means it always available and http calls will never fail.
Http calls take time.

Is there any program that can be used to cut out parts of a video file without re-encoding.

The way I'm thinking is if you already have a video file, you should be able to just copy the data from 1 file to another like a file splitter.
