Fuuuuck...

My SSD decided to stop booting and sometimes not even being recognised by bios...
Ive tried to recover it with live-USB but every program freezes after finding the partitions. I had so many hours of work not pushed to git yet...

Hey guys, I've recently purchased an Asus Laptop (i3 7100U - 2.4GHz, 4gb ddr4 , 1tb HDD, 15.6 FHD,). I've swapped HDD with an SSD ( Kingston 120gb) . Everything seems great, Laptop's performance is good, pycharm runs faster etc. However, when I shutdown the laptop, it takes nearly 3-4 minutes to shutdown. Restarting laptop hardly takes 30 seconds. The only problem is shutting down. I've tried everything, resintalled OS( windows 10 home (GPT partition)) , drivers and os are up to date, updated bios but there is no change. It still takes 3-4 minutes to shutdown. Any ideas?

Hell yeah let's install it everywhere.

3rd hard drive dead in 6 months.

But I blame the brand, TeamGroup, or the batch was bad ( all 3 of them were bought at the same day from the same shop)

My laptop is powering off out of nowhere...

I've checked for SSD errors non found replaced it with HDD not issues at all ...

Any one can recommend a tool even if it's on Linux to scan for SSD issues?

Luckily for my purposes SSD doesn't have to be accurate it just has to fail royally in a way which is highly accurate in its persistent failure :P
