Really glad the privacy community can make some impact. I still don't understand why venmo has to has any public transaction feed and I don't think they have public off by default still, but at least they are explaining things to users instead of being sneaky with their dumb social-network-ish-thingy that made ALL OF YOUR FINANCIAL TRANSACTIONS PUBLIC!!????
I don't understand why they hid this whole public feed thing. I'm pretty privacy focused and I didn't even know that my transactions where public untill I saw https://publicbydefault.fyi/.9 -
According to all the job postings out these, exposure bucks are pretty valuable. Does anyone know the conversion rate between exposure bucks and Stanley nickels?1

Is it just me or does this shirt make no sense? If your coffee was empty, then it would return true and you would keep coding. If it was not empty you would fill it.
Plus it's not a while loop, so unless this is some sort of recursion you wouldn't keep going....4 -
What are your opinions on this? Seems pretty Orwellian to me....

My dad was using notepad to edit some HTML for his website. I downloaded Visual Studio Code and he likes it SO MUCH MORE. (I wonder why....).
Kinda happy I could help him with it. He is pretty good at coding but just hasn't done it in a while (not his trade) so he doesn't know all the new tools and such.3 -
Trying to learn c and I forgot the name of the string comparison function, so I googled "c string"

Question for those running Linux on a Dell XPS 13 with a 4k display. What distro do you use? I tried using Ubuntu 16 but had to uninstall it due to absolutely terrible battery life and heat.
Ive been doing fine using the Linux subsystem for windows, but I kinda wanted to give Linux another go and dual boot just for the heck of it.6 -
Trying to decide between the new Dell XPS 13 Developer edition and the Lenovo yoga 920......
Oh and the MacBook pro is a dark horse.... -
I'm currently learning assembly in school and...I acctually kinda like it. (To my surprise). I was wondering if there were any good resources for learning about security at the assembly/system level?1

I remember when I first heard about the general concept of a stack, I wasn't quite sure how you would use it.
Now im learning about stacks in java algorithms class as well as learning about how the memory stack works in assembly class. This probably seems small to you pro devs, but ngl, it kinda blew my mind how useful this structure can be.1 -
Anyone know any good beginner-friendly open source projects? I really love open source stuff and would love to contribute, but I tried taking a quick look at a few of the GNOME apps and man.....that seems a bit above my level.2
