Okay, fuck me if everyone knows this but me, but CSS3 transitions supports letter-spacing.
So I was just fucking around and experimenting and I found that I could make a button whose text spreads out elegantly when you hover over it.
Fuck, that's cool.6 -
So today I got an email about a job opportunity. The email was in romainian. This is the exact translation and bear in mind that in romanian as in every other language (I guess) alot of english phrases sound very cringy. This is the email:
We need a fearless hero for the IT realm!
X company, a thriving insurance community, is looking for a real hero of software development that can make code using the .NET mystical hammer that can only be lifted by a worthy, deserving and responsible warrior.
You can't fly? Can't shoot lasers? You are not wasting your night time by looking at the moon on tall blocks wearing a cape? Then you could be the hero we need.
Do not worry, the position does not imply superhuman strength :)) However, it requires intellectual strength and attention to detail. You can even use your powers from a comfortable chair in a welcoming team full of other heroes ready to help you. We won't leave you alone, after all even Batman has Robin :))
I have attached all the information you need. Only The Chosen One can open the document so you will know immediately if you are right. :))
If you want to be responsible with your strength, then I'm waiting for your updated English resume with all your heroic deeds in the past.
Remember, not all heroes wear capes!
... WHAT THE FUCK IS .NET MYSTICAL HAMMER??? AND WHO THE FUCK USES ":))" IN AN EMAIL??7 -
i prefer my keyboard than the alphabet.
because U and I are right next to each other ;)
ofc, Jk is right below it. hahaha3 -
A trusted-partner of my company obviously opened a dodgy email, as some of my co-workers got emails with a dodgy link from them....
So our Network Admin sent an email to the entire company with a screenshot of the email and a message along the lines of "DO NOT CLICK THE LINK IF YOU'VE RECEIVED THE ORIGINAL EMAIL!"
Company director REPLIES TO ALL and says 'i cant click the link that you sent to us'.
N.A replies directly to him to say its only a screenshot as it could spread a virus.
Director then informs N.A that that he has found the original mail (hurrah!) but the link downloaded an empty .zip file, so he forwarded the file to another director... who also couldn't open.... so they forwarded it to another person who also couldn't open it..... and they in turn forwarded it etc etc.
Currently have 37 power scans running (out of 250 computers) and trying to figure out how the hell these people manage to dress themselves every morning.10 -
Never look at your computer when it's compiling, it can sense you and it becomes more prone to errors.

Dear client / customer
You have been misled. The customer is not always right. The sooner you realise this and start listening to us as the consultants you hired the better things are going to get. If you were experts in how to do this stuff you wouldn't need us. Please recognise the skills.
Best regards

job ad said "need senior back-end developer", with skills:java, c++, node.js,etc. went to their office for interview and they just needed man for installing windows and things like that.
Conclusion: dont fu*kin put every language in requirements you heard when dont need any of them1 -
Showed devRant to a fellow computer science student, he smiled and said it's like 9gag for nerds. Never talking to him again.7

When your IT Director pays $10k+/yr for a database and it doesn't even have an API... and you worked 100+ hrs on developing your own...1
-
Messing with HTML/CSS for the first time. Gonna have a dropdown menu where it's empty in the header. JS(Jquery) will be used.7

If you are posting code to DevRant, be prepared to explain the intention of the code, and to be commented on every aspect.
You can't just "ah look at this line..." And expect us to ignore the rest of the picture!!1
