Custom CMS from scratch vs Wordpress?

Only one day to convert my website design to wordpress template. Have no idea how to make animated submenus. Have never worked with wordpress. Fuck everything!

They said latin extended font will work. They did say that. They did!

Spent an evening coding 100 line of JS front end functionality that I achieved in 5mins with 2 CSS selectors.

Latelly I found out that I am spending more time thinking about how my code would fail rather than programming.

Trying to help friend with setting up Code::Blocks so that he can start learning C++. Something is wrong with compiler as when he clicks 'build&run' nothing happens, tried many things, nothing helps. Anybody have any ideas?
I hate setting up those things for myself enough and here I am setting this crap for a friend :/

Why is laravel quickstart guide's default files are so fundamentally different from what I got, when I run 'laravel new myApp'? It's so frustating!

Is it very hard to convert mongoose, express code to mysql, php? Could anybody give a few tips on pages routing and saving to db with php?

Employer asked, whether I could tweak the site's admin template that was made in 2005.
It uses tables to generate new webpages.
It uses php.
UI is a nonsense spaggethi crap.
Whole thing is shit.

Well, for good money I will just write everything from scratch. Took me ~10 hours and I already have the functionality that was in the original crap. Crazy how these 'devs' scam people!

Why must all the information about API authentication with Angular must be either outdated or shitty explained?
If anybody have some good, working angular+express server code, please share that to me...

Turned on a redshift and hoping to fall asleep to rants.

Slept for 4 hours after 10 hours programming session and I still feel pretty good.
Does that mean that code == rest? Woops!

Sometimes I just code some ugly crap that does the job and create a To Do to revisit it later and try to make it elegant.
When I revisit the code I always can't believe that I thought it was bad.

Seems like my past Me is a better programmer than present Me. Ouch.

Why do I have 50 pdfs of books that teach me things that I will never be using?
Assembly tutorial? Why?
Java tutorial? Hm... okay. Perhaps.
Python tutorial x10? But I could use docs!

Think of an awesome sounding AI project while not knowing a thing about AI.
Tell the guy you will be working with that you will manage to keep the learning pace up (he doesn't know AI as well, woah!)
Fast forward 2 weeks - completely forget about how I wanted to do anything with AI.
Fast forward 1 week - that guy messages me that we ought to do a meeting to check how much each of us have learned and to decide on how we will tackle the project.
Somehow managed to get the deadline to be day after tomorrow.

'I am screwed...' is what I think when I skim through pages of 'Artificial Intelligence a Modern Approach'. So, I put down the book and try to find something easy to understand on youtube. I find a hyperactive looking guy that under a video titled along the lines of '5mins and you are linear gradient pro'. Not suscipious at all.
Watched video twice, managed to understand that I need calculus for this shit. Oh well.

AI seems so much fun until you understand that it requires a fuckload of knowledge to do anything at all! :'(

Going to try to analyse linear gradient until tomorrow and hope that it will be sufficient for our project.

Trying to learn X on wiki. Immediatelly learn that you suck at everything and need to research more about Y, Z to understand the basic meaning of X.
And that goes on recursivelly.

When you start a project with random people and they have no idea how GitHub works, but still push new idiotic changes that make the app become slower and slowerevery hour it feels bad.
But when you ask them wtf are they doing and they answer 'Sorry, I don't understand you' it is an overkill. Wth?!

Instead of .innerHTML writing .html and wondering what is wrong for an hour...
