I subscribed to "Web Development" topic in Twitter and I only get tweets about Javascript.
Is this a sign?3 -
Hi guys, I'm planning to start tutorials in C# in my local language (since C# is the language I'm knowledgeable about). Can I target new programmers or should I just target the more experienced ones?9

A record system containing student's information. A project given by my teacher so that I could get the "Best in Computer" award in my school. He helped me to get that award because my school was unfair in giving chances for other students not in the top class to get the award. Unfortunately, I didn't pass it on time. Even if I was the highest in computer in my level, I didn't get the award just because they never gave me a chance

Haven't got much experience in web dev but I'm going to do a simple project that is due in 10 days that keeps track of tournaments for an upcoming activity in our church. Wish me luck!
P.S. I didn't commit to anything, just wanted to push myself. If it succeeds, I'll try to convince them to use this1 -
So Docker Desktop only runs on Windows 10 Pro. Unfortunate for Windows 10 Home users that comes installed with their laptops like me. Gotta install the legacy Docker Toolbox26
-
So yeah, don't know much about Javascript but a lot of you have recommended to stay away from JQuery and AJAX because they're on the way out. I hope ASP.NET would use a more modern library instead of JQuery11

About to submit a form to get a scholarship to a government website, and guess what. Errors everywhere. Why are they like this? These government websites are also known to be very vulnerable to hackers2

What are the things in computer science do I need to learn?
So yeah, I'm still in high school and will be entering IT in a few years, but I am willing to learn now. I already have a good grasp of programming and can create good desktop apps and basic web apps, so teaching basic concepts such as variables, loops, functions is done for me.. But what computer science concepts should I learn next?18 -
As a fan of C#, I'll be entering the world of web development with ASP.NET, but there are so many things to learn before getting started! Javascript, bootstrap, css grid stuff, angular vs react things, docker, microservices, http and REST stuff, accessing some remote thing through ssh. I feel so intimated and don't know where to start!14

Been watching lots of videos about Docker lately, yet I still can't wrap my head around it. Especially that I'm just new to web development.11
-
So yeah. Just clicked "update" in Visual Studio. After 6 hours of waiting, it broke and had to wait an hour to repair it.5
-
So yeah, we took a Cisco Certification exam 2 years ago in high school. If I didn't procrastinate to study, I might pass the certification. The requirement was 60%. I got 55.6% in that exam.3
-
Why do I feel this way. I lost motivation for programming and I spend atleast 4 hours a day playing games.12
-
So yeah, despite the technological advancements at present. Paying a lot of money just to have an internet connection with a maximum speed of only 5mbps, and having no connection during the evening.5
-
tl;dr Why Linux?
So yeah, another Linux question. I love C# and been doing some WPF and Xamarin stuff and planning to learn ASP.NET, but why do I hear that Linux is better than Windows for web dev. Why should I learn it especially if I want to specialize in .Net? Sorry just a student and I heard Microsoft is bringing a lot of Linux goodness to Windows and I wonder why.10 -
Any linux distro recommendations that works well in a virtual machine? Would like to try Linux but I still use Windows for my everyday C# and student life.27
-
So I've got the highest average grade in computer in my level. Yet just because I haven't represented the school, I couldn't receive the "Best in Computer" award3

I was halfway through repairing my Visual Studio, when it suddenly stopped without providing any info on why it happened...1

As a teenager learning to code on a computer given by my parents
It hurts to see announcements like mobile development has some limitations on 32bit, or Github Desktop, Adobe XD and the new Unity only supports 64bit8 -
So I'm repairing Visual Studio because it's behaving differently. Been waiting for it to complete for more than 5 hours now. Hope we'll have a better internet connection1
-
You can call me a noob developer, but I still think its magic when your code doesn't work. So you step through your code to see what's wrong. But you can't see it. So you just hit continue just to see your code is now working3
-
Anyone here who created a team in Bitbucket but the only member is their self? I know it may be a silly question but I just want to create projects so I can organize my repositories4
-
Any programmers/software engineers/developers here that studied I.T. or Computer Engineering instead of CS in college?6
-
So I live in a country where computer science is viewed as the "last option" when choosing college programs and IT is viewed as only for maintenance of computers and is believed here that you can't be successful in choosing computer science or IT for college. So I really want to be a software dev but don't know what to choose from the two and how to explain to my parents about what I really want to become.1
