Bored on a weekend i decided to write a html5 canvas game, got into the zone and a couple of hours later I was done and figured I should out it online. Then I realised my Wi-Fi was off and I had written the entire thing without Google.9

www.crossinstall.com
Go fuck yourself. They're the company that makes those pain in the ass mini-game ads. You know, the ones that aren't even relevant to the game.
"Oh look! A city building game. Let's advertise it with a tower defense game!"9 -
Alright everyone. Who uses elixir and how do you like it? Thinking of writing a fairly large application using elixir and Phoenix5

I hate that, not only did this error happen, but they weren’t smart enough to hide the MySQL stack trace13

Hi. I'm new here and liking it.
My rant today: Lofty business guy tells my small dev team that he knows exactly how everything should look and work because he knows exactly what users want out of the webapp experience.... goes on to tell us to make an editable, side-scrolling table that is also mobile-friendly, for users to manually input a ton of data.... -
`npm install -g somafm`
`somafm play defcon`
If you're on a Mac, `brew install mplayer` and do the above.
You're fucking welcome!
https://git.io/somafm if you wanna go fork yourself3 -

Hi guys, this is my first rant so bear with me..
Stupid Indian fucking institutes doesn't give a shit about the things we learn in the institute. This curriculum is like from the 90's. I learnt NodeJS recently and I thought wow a new concept, not even my professor knows about it. I must be on top of the world or at least any way near it and then I see these video tutorials on the internet which are posted 2 years ago. OH MY GOD!! The thing is that my department's HOD doesn't know about that and the funny thing is that I'm doing a project under him "SECURITY OF WEB APPLICATIONS" and the only thing he knows is PHP. And FYI I'm not studying in an institute which is oblivious to the outside world. It's called an NIT, an institute of national fucking importance. At the end, I blame myself though. I should have been on myself not being completely dependent on the professors for knowledge.
I could fill the entire text area with the rant.
But then people will start ranting about the rant.
I will be posting more Indian-devRant soon so.. peace till then.
( I bet they don't know about Git/Github too)24 -
While setting up a node app while sitting behind draconian proxies:
- first, set $http_proxy & $https_proxy
- set git proxy
- then, npm proxy, jspm proxy and bower proxy
- followed by strictSSL to false.....
After moving to home network/VPN, change all of these proxies again. It is a never ending vicious circle :(1 -
So, I just recieved a welcome email from bit.ac, with my email and a random generated password. The fact is that, I have never registered on this website. Did someone just registered with my email? Or maybe it's a new marketing strategy, to collect emails from another databases and send them emails, "reminding" them their email and a random generated password, so that who recieve the email, to be confused and to access the website to see what is all about, resulting that the company gets more traffic & eventually new possible customers?undefined someone made an account on my email random mail mail maybe marketing strategy? bitcoin bit.ac7

When I said make that text italic, I didn’t mean to make it green, white, and red. That’s Italian.2

DevRant should have a questions and awenser in the more tab so when people have question about DevRant, jobs and other things other people could awenser, I belive that is a good way from keeping rants and memes in a place and Q&A in other place2
