Just realized I can't use my new Linux laptop for work because we use Xamarin. And there is no working version for Linux yet. Also no one knows when there will be one. Why support everything except for Linux?

My father in law uses a mac. He once asked me to fix something there for him. So I turned it on and I thought my eyes where bleeding. He had the contrast on the highest level. It was so bad you couldn't even recognize the buttons on the screen. So I changed the contrast to a degree that I could recognize something except for white on the screen. After fixing his problem I asked him why his contrast was set so high. He said that the colors on the screen were only right when the contrast is set high and that I should change it back.

I want to try installing Linux from scratch. So without a fancy ui just bash. Has someone a reccomendation how and where to start? The goal is to use the system for daily use.

I switched my phone a year ago and forgot about devRant. I discovered the app again and I don't even know what happend and why there are clans?

I was debugging my UDP server and client for 3 hours until I realized our school network has a firewall which blocks my connections.

Me and my friends recently presented an app we programmed. So we listed some games as resources because we thought they were good for our group. Almost no one got the joke 😂

Am I the only person who doesn't listen to music. Everyone I tell is shocked and asks me how I am still alive. It's not that I hate music I am just not listing to it.

I think it is so sad you can't use your devRant icon on other sites. I know you could download them but the whole point is anonymous ranting so if someone know your picture they know who you are. I love the devRant icons <3

Can you please give me the option to load the whole rants. I don't want to use the story feature because I want to see all the rants.

Which apple dev thought it is an unnecessary to add the feature to revert a file deletion.

A coworker wants to save telphone numbers as Strings in a database I don't get why he doesn't want to use Ints. I think it is stupid because it uses more space and you need to change the type if you want to use it to call someone. He says it is better this way because you can put there "+" and "-" for better readability.
