Just watched Bourne. One of the first lines are: "Corrupt their database by using SQL". It's like saying: "Corrupt their text document with words". I love when they are "technical" in movies.

Went to see Jason Bourne last night. No spoilers, but I'm guessing this is how the writers came up with the story:

Writer 1: Let's make it super techie
W2: Yeah, that way it's about current issues, like Internet privacy.
W1: Should we hire a tech consultant so we get things right?
W2: Nah, I saw the Matrix once, I understand computers.

Actual line from film:
"Use SQL to corrupt their database"

Jason Bourne movie:
"Use SQL to corrupt their database!"

In my head: "Seriously? That's like saying 'Use a computer to hack them!', 5 bucks says someone is going to say "ENHANCE" on a blurry photo."

3 Min later. 'ENHANCE!'"

When you watch the new Jason Bourne and see people from CIA hacking a laptop from an Old cellular with a "shell code", or other people saying "use SQL to hack the database"

Worst line in new Jason Bourne movie. "Use SQL to corrupt their databases"

I have a bug that shows null but i got an "null" string which is nasty. To someone who did this, i'll find you and i'll kill you

Jason Bourne logic: type "run predictive algorithm" without any parameters into a terminal and it returns the locations of whatever you want. Either that function is the _best_ at predicting user input, or its variables are so hardcoded that we've just discovered the hardest material on earth

GitLab, you really should fix your CI.

I mean, I know .gitlab-ci.yml has to be written carefully, having in mind that GL shell is a castrated bourne shell, but come on... Failing a pipeline because I used a semicolon in an `echo` parameter string?

echo ""items: 0" ## this will fail
echo "items 0" ## this will pass

This is a bit too much.

Removed the semicolon and the pipeline worked just fine.

I have no problem reading constructive criticism of systemd. It has its problems. However, sometimes those critics try to claim that init run levels, or rc scripts, with their arbitrary meaning and the Bourne shell's ad hoc syntax, are a perfectly acceptable solution to the problem that don't need replacing.

I've never seen an OS startup mechanism that tells me, while the system is up, "the change you just made will make it impossible to bring the OS up if you restart it". And that's a real problem.
