I learned c# and Unity for 4 fuckin years. Now I want to learn Electron and i just cant get it to fuckin work that motherfucker!

Installed node.js into a folder on my Desktop, git cloned the quick start app, copied the files, npm start and wow it starts.

ONCE.

It does not start anymore wtf? Also the stupid tutorials that I bought dont fuckin explain how to set it up properly wtf...

Doesnt help that im a windows noob and the guy in the tutorial is a macSnob.

Goddamnit I hate this phase of learning stuff. It fuckin sucks.

Also software development is around for like what? 30 years and electron is the best solution for GUI that people came up with? Fuck me.

I'm learning nginx and it's simplying the way I think about web projects.

I used to think that when I used a server side framework, then that should be the master and all should go through it. Noob me.

I used to put client side projects (like create-react-app of vue-cli projects) right inside the server side project.

But with nginx you can just route subpaths to different places, then instead of having, let's say, the react project inside rails, they would be in separate git projects.

In fact, I no longer need to restrict myself to a single server framework.

I love several aspects of rails. I love several others of node. And if I need multithreaded performance, I'd very much use something like phoenix or go.

Again, with nginx, you setup subpaths with the `location` directive in the same server and voila, a no CORS setup, cookies shared and homogenous versatile website.

OK, I'm at a new internship and new to node development. I'm consulting the existing repositories to see what's already existing, but... node_modules shouldn't be in the git repository, right?

Very noob question. I started using git/github for my classes in Python, but I dont see why is it any better than google drive or onedrive, since you can also send multiple archives and have it synced to your computer without having to "push". Why is it so popular and needed?

I learned Git in the most ridiculous way possible.

Noob me, is using VSCode and i tried clicking the git icon. Now, i didn't know what i was doing and i suddenly made a git repo and i just checked on things (add changes and commit) and little do i know that it was all absorbed. I got skeptical (spying on files, i didn't know what's happening, etc.) so i clicked the "x" button and it warned me that it will be "completely deleted" and it will be an "irreversible action". Due to my stupidity, i pressed okay.

Then that was the time i knew, i fucked up.

But hey ho it took me 12 hrs to recover all files (1600 loose objects) that has been deleted using a 3rd party app (without any master, no last commit message, no everything, just objects a.k.a the blob files that git saves). I tried looking for easier ways to get the files, but it was there in front of me the whole time, so it took me longer.

Or company banned DourceTree so everyone had to switch to just using git shell.

Except me... I installed GitExtensions which is allowed.

I can't decide if I'm a git noob, better at being lazy, or more efficient.

I do use she'll for certain things like deleting, listing branches but for commits and resolving merge conflicts... still prefer gui
