I don't mind if you down vote my answers on stack-overflow. But unless you leave a better answer or a comment explaining why, you are a fucking troll and an asshole.
I MEAN, YOU SHOULD TAKE A BIG STEP BACK AND LITERALLY FUCK YOUR OWN FACE!!!!
You aren't helping me or others learn from our mistakes by showing us the better way.32 -
I used to collect rubber ducks back in college. I was absolutely crazy about it and tried getting my hands on almost all different types available like the Punk duck, the Pirate duck, the Weed duck....and so on.
I met this girl who was into the same thing and we ended up banding together to create a sort of webpage where we'd write crazy and hilarious origin stories for each of these ducks. We'd go to great lengths to create ridiculous comic book style encounters between them and had a lot of fun doing it.
We dated for a while but it didn't last.2 -

Wow, Oracle is tenacious... Does this kind of decision mean people will move away from Java?

Been playing Skyrim a lot lately. "research" I guess. So any abbreviations and the like I think of TES or Skyrim related lore. I saw a post on devrant earlier that mentioned DB. My first thought was Dark Brotherhood. So this meme was born:2

If you are not satisfied with the framework you have used, try to see its source code. It will surely make you feel calmed.

this really happened:
Interface Team Lead: "hey I want any time deployments and better QA"
Me: "ok sure. I have CI/CD, but yiu need to work in feature branches / tags, and make sure your code passes automated builds and unit tests"
Team Lead: "I dont have time to test it makes me unproductive! and creating a branch is an extra step which is going to set me back. Im telling the boss you are impacting performance!"
Me: "you want better deployments and QA, but you can even create a branch or tes your work?"
Team Lead: "We have deadlines!" -
We had a series S Xbox. Somebody left a drink too close and I think it spilled inside. The series S no longer functions. My son has been bugging me for a few months to fix it. He is gone this week for a competition.
Last night I went to walmart at around 6pm. All the weirdos were already there. (so was I, what does that say?) Got heckled in the parking by some randos in a car. (honestly have no idea what they said because lazy asses don't even try to speak anything but inner city garbage) I looked toward them and looked away. Fuck that noise. Shit heads keep showing up in my town. (thanks California, you are leaking)
Anyway I get a series X and brought it home. I set it up where the older one was. Am not going to say a word. I named it: "Dad's XBox". Gonna see what the kids say when they all get back. I stood it on end so nobody can spill anything into it.
Looked through gamepass. Not that great a selection IMO. Noticed Starfield is there. It sucked so bad it will probably always be on gamepass. Trying to recoup lost revenue. I might try and see just how bad it is. I dunno. Would rather play a TES game. Gonna try Outer Worlds I think.
I think the charcoal series X actually looks cool. Seems to have cool features too. Like you can play a game on there on your phone or some shit. I think steam has that too. Wild.12 -
I've finally started playing a MUD game in my spare time. I gotta say, it's kinda awesome. And, BONUS: it looks like I'm actually working since the interface is just a text terminal.2

Writing 20k lines of code and finally during compilation more numbers of errors....Life ends here....

Lord Sheogorath has survived the Grey March. The voice actor almost died in the last few days. He has pulled through and is still alive.
Dammit Todd Howard! You are taking so long working on TES VI that one the best voice actors of the game almost died! Hurry the fuck up!
Anyway, I want to send cheese wheels to Wes to let him know I care.3 -

Just remembered this in a TES forum. So you get to remember or enjoy for yourself:

I once thought writing huge lines of code makes it tough and messy, when i was learning Java.
Then I met with BrainFuck...

Last night I came back from work completely drained, as usual, and thought to myself - "I'll just lie down for a second..." Next thing my alarm wakes me up 12 hours later - "What the... Again?!?"
It was just my biannual collapse from exhaustion. Now I'm good to go for at least six more months. Yay...
This is what happens when you have been working only on "critical" and "we have to do this or the company sinks" projects (are there any other kinds anyway?) for the past 10 years with NO rest between jobs and NO leisure vacations taken...
Funnily enough, this event coincides with my futile biannual introspective analysis on things I did wrong in my life.
Now back to saving the company...2 -
So I think I figured out something that may be a huge game changer in the gaming industry. TES VI has taken more than a decade to even be a thing. We got an announcement a few years ago about TES VI, but really nothing since. At that time they said TES VI would be in production after Starfield release. Another odd thing they said was that the technology needed to create TES VI was not quite ready yet. I am unsure as to when they said this last bit. I think before they mentioned Starfield release. What is this tech?
I think to understand what this tech is you have to go back to the roots of TES. One of their early games was called Daggerfall. I think this was TES II. The next one was TES III Morrowind. Then TES IV Oblivion. Finally TES V Skyrim. What has been happening on each release? The world of Daggerfall was huge, it was also generated content. That was the only way to go to that scale at that time. Then Morrowind came along and was big, but no where near Daggerfall big. Oblivion came along and decent size, but I think it was still smaller than Morrowind. I think similar with Skyrim. The worlds were getting more detailed, but due to shear manpower it became expensive to fill these large worlds.
I think you have probably figured out where I was going with this. What is the missing tech TES series wanted for large worlds? I think AI is the next big step for generating large worlds like this. From generating textures, terrain, models, cities, forests, etc. Obviously there will be procedural gen mixed in with this.
People keep wondering why TES VI is taking so long. I think Bethesda wanted to go big again on its worlds. But at the scale they wanted to do it would take way too much manpower to create all the assets for the game under any kind of budget. TES V has made them a shit ton of money. So maybe they have the wiggle room to do something truly groundbreaking with TES VI.
Anyway, that is my guess. They were waiting for the AI tools to be available to go big on their open worlds.10 -

For instance: AdGuard, OpenDNS, FreeDNS, Fool, Quad9 etc..
