AboutTech geek. CS student. In love with Java and webdev (with Scala on the roadmap). Probably an introvert. Emacs is better than Vi(m)! If something I wrote sounds like sarcasm, it probably is.

What was wrong with the major updates and clean modern UI? It was the only reason that made us happy.
Now buggy and not surprising minor updates, doesn't really support touch like 8.1, poor animations, poor etc. that looks like a quick without-love development to just "release quickly".
Anyways, who else liked the modern metro UI in 8.1 and sad about going back to traditional desktop on win10?48 -
I sometimes wonder my English is that bad ...
I reviewed a pull request. I commented on this line of code
a = getA() * -1;
saying that
"I think this logic should be in setA method instead."
When the guy asked me for the review again, the change was
- a = getA() * -1;
+ a = setA() * -1;

*yesterday*
Client: "Perfect! How did you do this so quickly?"
Me: "I used a library"
*today*
Me: "I'm still debugging. It will take some time"
Client: "Well, it has already taken too long...I can hear Mozart in the background. Maybe you need to go to a library to get some quiet and get it done fast. Visit the one you used yesterday."
Me: "Library?...Ah, I meant plugin...like, code...a library is a bunch of packaged code"5 -
Devrant is not fucking stackoverflow.
You don't ask questions regarding your code or your project here!6 -
People were posting their programming companions. This one kept me amused through my early days with a computer. Who else remembers?6
