Had a customer on the phone who couldn't figure something out. Wanted to give him instructions so I asked him whether he used mac or windows (getting used to not including Linux in that question). His reply: uhm this has a weird name... do you know elementary os?
Me: you're a Linux user?!
Him: yes, I'm done with windows and mac.
Then i gave him the instructions. Nice twist of the day!12 -
Me: "I'll never be able to do this"
Me: "I suck at coding"
Me: "What am I even looking at"
Me: "Im going to get fired for being incompetent"
Me: "They could have hired a child with more coding prowess"
Supervisor: "Hey, good job. Keep up the good work."
Me: "Pfft of course you're talking to a pro here."13 -
Just made a laser sentry tower for my cats. Next up is adding some tracking so it can play with them by itself while I'm at work and after that I'm adding a Wi-Fi module and camera so that i can also play with them while I'm at work... I couldn't resist using a mouse to top it off 😂17

You know what I hate? When people don't listen to me.
You know what I love? When shit blows up in their faces because they didn't listen to me8 -
You know what's cool working for a company that uses Github for version control? My contributions on my profile are going through the roof and I expect will make me look like an open source hero!

All the contractors have to take furlough for the holidays, but the company spends the money to buy a bunch of $1300 televisions for no better reason than corporate vanity.
I'm sure the softs think it's the greatest thing ever though. -
Been working on a backend-service, sending notifications to our app. Shit didn’t work in backend. I made some adjustments, commited and pushed. Didn’t think it would work and just went home.
Our tester had a app-version connected to my dev-server(Continous Delivery from my last commit). Got an email. ”I see you got the notifications working”. I had a high polling-rate in backend for testing. He got spammed lol
At least my code worked 😂1 -
Showers
99% of my bugs are fixed whilst I'm in the shower
Honestly, I should just get a waterproof computer and write code in there14 -
