"We want :focus styles removed everywhere in our intranet because we don't like it"
- Very-Big-Company, multiple times "Nielsen Best Intranet"1 -
Everybody is talking about react, angular, Vue etc, and here I am, fixing ie7-8 website compatibility for a financial-bank institution.10

We as a 15ppl company are contractors for various big agencies, but we're most of the time under NDA. So I guess I'm a "Ghost-Front End Developer".

Can an app built with Cordova, designed without following Apple's Human Interface Guidelines (so basically a responsive website), be published on the App Store?2

Big IT consulting company ask us (small web agency) to develop the "html" code for a web app for their client. (They'll want the front-end to implement it in Cordova or other shit tools they use).
I had to use some "includes" in php, for header and footer, because for 50 pages it'll be tedious to edit a thing (the design is not definitive yet) without open all the .html files individually and replicate the edits in all the pages.
We've delivered the package containing all the pages and a "inc" folder for the header and the footer. The pages have the extension *.php
Their pm ask us why we didn't do it in html, since they expected that.
What the fuck is wrong with you?5 -
Laptops recommendations? MacBook Pro is so damn expensive, budget 800€/700£ more or less... I was looking for something with at least i5, ssd, fhd screen, 15"5

I have some ex colleagues and friends now devs in Facebook, Amazon, or other major companies. No life, monothematic arguments, no hobbies, no time. I surely prefer my simpler life.

How do you use to keep trace/state of a project at work? Teamgantt? Asana? Pipefy? Slack with integrations?4 -
There are 2 types of people that I can't stand:
- Designers who thinks they can do the front-end as they use Photoshop
- Programmers that thinks the front-end is easy enough as put random bootstrap columns everywhere
Then when something doesn't work, they blame the front-end developer.
Try to communicate more, assholes, and do your job.6 -
Front End: i feel that it's the most challenging and everchanging topic out there nowdays, plus you can learn a whole stack of technologies almost everyday

1M€/year web agency, the ceo doesn't buy coffee for employers anymore (14 people) because "it costs too much". :/4
