Fuuuccckkkk! I just realised I made 120 commits over the past 100 hours.
It's a big thing for me as a developer and open source enthusiast because I finally understood how to work on open source projects with a team and also I've been able to give equal time to all my current projects.
Also, GitHub going green is a beautiful feeling xD
So proud of myself lol1
Sometimes it gets really annoying when your client tells you to do something in the beginning and you do it, but towards the end of the project they want us to do something else.
Once a guru of mine told me,
"A developer is one who can convert his/her ideas to code and doesn't need to depend on external libraries to help him/her"
His words actually have made me a different person. I mean since that day, I actually started developing things on my own. Until then I was hardly good at coding. Wasn't even clear with the basics. But those words of his had a deep impact on me.
Today I suddenly started thinking about that and honestly, I'm so glad to have met him. I'm so glad that he actually said the above thing to me.
Today, I'm at a position where I can legit build anything I want.
From websites to bots, I make my ideas come to life. All thanks to my guru.
Just thought this might be a good thing to share to motivate others. If it motivated me, I'm sure it might motivate atleast one other person in this community.2
So I wrote a code for a discord bot a few months back. It worked perfectly alright. Suddenly one day, the bot starts sending random shit to me!
Then I realised that my bot had been hacked because I didn't use the bot token as an environment variable while deploying!
Instead I added it to the code, which I uploaded on GitHub! 😐5
Recently created an app and uploaded it on Play Store. The download rate was great until a few days back. Suddenly I saw that the download rate was dipping drastically.
Then I read, "Download rates of new apps on playstore dips because of change in play store algorithm".
Wow! Thank you Google! Also, fuck you 😐
