Want to Google io earlier this month and a senior director at Google game a presentation and used a chrome dino for a demo and after I found him on LinkedIn and asked her m where I could buy one and he asked for my address and sent me one for free. Idc what any of you say Google is really cool for doing this.14

So just recently my school blocked the following for unknown reasons websites
Github
Gitlab
Amazons aws
stack exchange
Bitbucket
Heroku
The hacker news
DuckDuckGo
The Debian package repositories yea all of em
And all domains that end in .io
Now some of you out there are probably just saying "well just use a vpn" the answer to that is I can't the only device I have a locked down school iPad can't install apps cannot delete apps cannot change vpn or proxy setting's I cannot use Safari private tab they have google safe search restricted to "on" they even have "safari restricted mode which lets safari choose what it wants to block" and even when I'm on my home wifi it's s still blocked as they use Cisco security connector THIS IS HELL
Also this is my first post :)30 -
When you just finished watching Google IO and they presented lots of super cool machine learning powered stuff...
... And suddenly, what you've been working on just few hours before, feels like:
"Yay! Finally this button is changing the color of this text!"1 -
I made a simple HTML site for watching Google I/O live without all the ads that third party websites try to stuff up your face. It also has the official countdown from the event website 👌 (The countdown will disappear as soon as it runs out)
Check it out at adless-io.firebaseapp.com3 -
I like js and node in general.
But there's this thing I hate about NodeJs...
The blogs. The goddamn blogs.
Every goddamn blog post. Is code. Dozens of lines of code.
Oh, so you want X feature? Just copy paste this shit.
I swear to god, blog posts are the source versioning system to these people.
What they should instead is
a) Create a package.
b) Add tests to it.
c) Present the package to the reader with some minimal code.
But I'm a getting a huge impression that node blog writers want you to copy the code in their post, paste it in your project, and be happy with it.
Now, I'm not assuming that every person posting in medium.com is a software engineer (and by engineer I mean an engineer, not some fuckwad who begs for github stars on dev communities).
The problem to me is that they fucking SATURATE the goddamn search results.
The same goes for finding an npm package for your need, because there are so many low quality packages it's saturated too, you have too plow this stinking pile of projects that have very low quality,
and there's not a really good npm finder out there. Half of them are dead, some look and load like shit, and npm search has a low barrier for good code.
Me on rails, OTOH "ok, I need this thing", I google that and I swear to [-∞,+∞] I find GOOD packages, well designed, no cookie cutter bullshit, no obscure marketing shit on the README.md, it is very clear what this shit does, and the api is designed for HUMANS.
and it actually takes very little time to know if there's no such package.
I don't have to read dozens of fucking my-fuck-blog.io (jesus christ, the io domain has become such a fucking joke, it got fucking abused to death, there are some cool sites out there using it, but my god, James H. Marketing likes to just absorb everything he can, and the internet was not going to be a fucking exception)
does all of this make sense?3 -
Google IO 2023: WE'LL SHOVE AI DOWN YOUR THROATS AND YOU'LL LOVE IT.
Fuckers even have live chat and comments disabled -.-

Just watching Google io and I swear the new Google Assistant just passed the Turing test?
The assistant called and made a haircut booking over the phone with a human and it seemed so human like!
Turing test is to determine between a machine and human right?4 -
Kinda curious if anyone is going to google io this year and feels like smuggling me in?
Keep missing the live streams and don't want to miss the chromebook segment!2 -
My coolest projects that I've worked on:
- Popcorn Time (.io)
- Blackshades (RAT)
- DarkComet (RAT)
- Demonsaw (Google it)1 -
Google acquired two interesting products companies last week.
One is making customizable phone apps from spreadsheets the other is gathering sales data from local shops.
appsheet and pointy
At this point I think they’re still missing code editor. Microsoft have visual studio and amazon as always was first and acquired c9.io when vscode was one year old.
How the fuck they missed the code that would run remotely on multiple machines should have ability to connect to one node with debugger after they fucked docker with their k8s.6 -
Got to love Google. This years IO 2018 has been one of my best. So many new tools for developers to become successful. Android & its new set of tools like Android Jetpack & the immense love Kotlin is receiving its gonna be an awesome year for Android programmers & Kotlin as a language.2

Just watched the highlights of Microsoft Build and Google IO. I gave 80% attention to Google because they have more content than Microsoft.
No hate but Microsoft is running out of boxes2 -
WWDC or 2hours commercial
None life of code like the google io(first day)
“Developers conferences” are comming less dev and more marketing1 -
What's your thoughts on the newly released .app tld? Is it going to be the new .io?
It also seems like Google provides TLS certificates for free to all .app domains. I know there's let's encrypt but I still think that this is great. Google is really pushing a more "Secure" internet. -
- Going through new open source projects
- Subscribed to blog that gives all the shit about new things
- Never missed updates from WWDC, Google IO. -
Google drive won't load on my pc, google docs fucks up the formating. I know i can stil download the document from the web io but i have to upload it every once and then to have it synchronized manually and that runins my mood rn.1

Looks like I'll be attending Google I/O this year.
Have you attended Google I/O? Please share your experiences, tips and what to expect other than what's in the agenda.
Hope the corona won't fuck up everything.1 -
Google just fucked Apple so hard by extending Assistant to iOS! Now let's see wether Siri visits Android 😝! I think it was more arousing than porn, "pun intended" 😂 ...
