Currently, I am going through a legacy application built in microsoft access back in 90s.
* No Comments
* No Relationships between tables
* Random code that does nothing
* Weird form layouts
* Weird naming conventions
I need to copy this functionality into modern version using SQL Server Management studio and asp.net core, I also need to kill myself because none of this fucking shit fucking fuck makes sense.
I do my best to write clean and concise code along with comments but after this ordeal I am going to up my game because nobody should need to suffer through spaghetti code and stupid logic that is uncommented.

>Get password vom dev.
>Try to connect to MongoDB.
>Had some changes in how to connect because of Kubernetes and stuff.
>Always get authentication error.
>copy password again
>stop and restart portforwarding
>wait almost 1,5h (was lunchtime) for DevOps guy
>sit next to him and ask for help
>he unhides the password and deletes two spaces...

So I have been temporarily assigned to new team .. moving from mainly backend.. to help the Web team ..
Me .: Aight guys .. what we working with ?
Team: MVC .net
Me: awesome ..
Team: but we have our own version of MVC .
Me : 🤔 your own MVC ?
Team: yeh we only buse controllers.. but no models at all ?
Me.: 😲 So where does the view gets its data from ?
Team : from Azure functions apps.
M: how ?
T: ( in very proud tone ) .. we use js to call all functions.
M: so why not just use HTML pages . Why MVC then !
T: coz MVC is modern architecture design.
M: but you not using it and all of calles to the functions are exposed publicly.
T: 🧐 THIS IS MODERN DESIGN !!
M: 🤪 My bad .. what the hell do I know ! I only been developing MVC applications for 7 years !!
Please tell me more about your " Modern Design "

HELL. YES.
I wrote a complex grid rendering system in c++!
It accepts pixel values and * values (Grid values)
Works very similar to WPF grid, which I LOVE.
The few lines of code needed (On the front end, at least) to do this are in the comments. VERY FUCKING HAPPY RIGHT NOW.13 -
I saw this image on IBM's blog. The author was explaining how blockchain could be used to implement self sovereign identities. But, isn't the last step wrong? In order to decrypt Alice's message, Bob should use his private key instead of Alice's public key, right? Of course, while encryption Alice has to use Bob's public key.3

A friend of mine was playing Destiny 2 just now and the game crashed. This was legit the error message :31

Got a phone interview for a backend dev job in an opsec company.
Interviewer:
This is a very serious and prestigious position, we take care of the most important bits of code.
*Proceeds to talk introductory nonsense*
Interviewer:
Do you know what a DNS is?
Me:
Yes, of course! DNS stands for Domain Name System.... Blah blah blah... I explain about the servers, about hosts file, about DNS spoofing and everything else possible on this topic.
Interviewer:
See, I was patient with you - letting you finish. I'm not sure what you're talking about and where you got it from, but a DNS is that line in the browser where you type the site's name.
He didn't ask any more questions, just told me that they'll get back to me. I asked not to do that.
Three weeks later I got an email claiming that I'm not qualified.44 -
They call it $5/gb hotel wifi, i call it free uncapped 100meg fibre because your security sucks
Oh and they host their entire POS (and database with backups) on the same network accessible to every TV in the hotel16 -
We've come so far, yet we have not progressed at all - can you hear me? is this working? "JENNA GET THE OTHER MIC THIS ONE DOESN'T WORK"2

*Doesn't have Internet and bored as hell*
*Starts to program something random with Python*
*Wants to write something to a file, doesn't know how*
*Intuition starts...*
"foo = open('test.txt', 'w')
foo.write('hello\n')
foo.close()"
*Runs program*
*It actually fucking worked*
Tell me something more simpler than Python.13
