HR: I need a Kotlin guy to fix something quick (in a room with 7 people)
First Koltin guy: I can do it tomorrow, I have a delivery today, maybe he can do it? (me)
HR to me: you a Kotlin guy? Can you do it?
Me: yeah sure, what is "it"?
HR: ffs don't ask too many questions, "it" is Kotlin, can you do it?
Me: ok fine, what team? project? who do I need to speak to so I can get details?
HR: omg you ask so many questions!! Fuck it I'll ask someone else!
Me: How am I supposed to fix "it" if I have no idea what "it" is?
HR: leaves the room
Me: ???

I realize now I probably shouldn't have called out my manger's bullshit if I wanted to keep my job. We were told to work a Sunday and our PO called it a "Smack-a-thon."
I said, "No let's not use stupid names. Let's call things what they are. This is a management failure Sunday."
That was during new hire lunch, in front of my manager.
I worked the first Sunday. I refused to work the second one. I've also been refusing to work over 45 hours a week.
So I guess I could have seen it coming. My manager didn't even have the gums to do it himself. He had the HR lady do it, while I was working remote from home. She told me it wasn't a 9 to 5 shop and that people there are expected to work long hours (People on my team are working 80+ a week for several months).
I took the train in to get my stuff. No one was there. My computer already gone. Couldn't even say "Go fuck yourself to anybody."
So I feel better now. I haven't taken a day of since I started in February, so it's time for some vacation and an unemployment check.
It was a really terrible job, and terribly mismanaged. I'm glad I stood my ground and knew what I was worth. I wish my co-workers had done the same.
I should have tried to start a union.8 -
Everything was going fine in the Interview, then:
Company X's HR: "So if you are selected in both X and Y, which one would you choose 😊?"
Me: 🤔🤔🤔 Long deep thoughts...
HR: "😒 I know your answer is X, But why X 😑?"
Me: Oh.. X! Hmm.. 🤔🤔
Result:
Successfully Rejected

If you are sitting for X's interview, you have to always choose X with no lag, even if Y= Google.

My HR manager just sent out her tax declaration sheet containing all her salary details out to the entire company via email.
The worst part, she makes as much as I do yet fails at the one single job she's supposed to do.3 -

From a job posting I recently viewed:
"About you: We don't care about years of experience or knowledge of particular technologies, if you have a computer science degree; or a degree at all for that matter."
further down in the same posting...:
"Qualifications:
-MS/BS in Computer Science or related background
-2-3 years of front-end development experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and related JavaScript frameworks such as Backbone, React, or similar technologies"

I've just came to the end of my probation in a new role... Been told I've passed it already... But just raised an interesting typo in my original offer letter....
Instead of saying a
"pay increase up to £#####"
it says a
"pay rise OF £#####"
Upon completing your probation
So in half a mind to ask when I'll see my salary more than doubled like the offer letter says!3 -
As I told I put my resignation professionally yesterday. No bonds all I have to serve my notice period.
So Todag HR meeting
and I was totally harrassed by the hr.She is like who gave you growth?who bring you here? why you didnt you gave ultimate to me ? do you know the process of resignation?and so much unprofessional things she said to me ..
I just cried in the conference room and came back ..
I dont know wht to do.. This is my first switch and i am worried a lot.

I've had enough of recruitment phone calls, from now on if they don't follow:
1) Look at the FAQ made solely for them.
2) Contact me exclusively through email or chat(Skype) indicated by me.
I'll not f*ucking care about them.
My memory is not made to record perfectly every single call from any job offering, I'm sick of getting lost in memories of calls that, in the end, sound really similar between each other. F*ck this system of "I need your number to keep in touch with you(or update you) about this offer".1 -

So Thursday our first beta client is supposed to go live. Tomorrow there is a team meeting to discuss the status. Team lead wasn't in at work last Thursday and Friday and gave me his work to finish, which I need to proceed with mine. I hardly made progress on it. So now I have to tell him about that tomorrow. And I'm dreading it so hard. More so because for some reason HR/support sits in on our meetings and will be on my ass again I'm not meeting deadlines. I did say last week it looked like it wouldn't be done in time but I was told it just needs to happen because the release date was already announced. So yeah the coming week is going to suck. And I'm on leave myself this coming Friday so I expect people to explode. I know I should just stop caring and get on with job searching but the whole injustice of being set up for failure by others and then being blamed really makes me mad.3

What's the idea of people contacting you to offer a position, you make an appointment for a phone interview and the person don't call you at the right time and then hours later come with a random excuse. It happened twice with me already. If the idea is to spoil the company reputation, good job. '-'1

I hope the HR guy who oriented us is right about our paycheck this time. He did tell us during company orientation that our paycheck would be made from the previous cutoff and the current cutoff which is assumed. He has gotten a lot of things wrong recently and we are getting pissed already.

Second day at my new work when I got notified that my actual working time schedule is not what I have signed for (working in a BPO company, recruiter and HR made a mistake not notifying me about the time schedule update during Job offer, if only I knew it from the start i would definitely not gonna pick this job coz I have other job offers with much more desirable schedule or at least the same morning sched that i want). New required schedule is 3 hours later than my morning schedule, that makes my work starts at the afternoon. I don't want that kind of schedule coz I don't want to go home late given that I'm commuting from work and because of other extra curricular activities outside work.
I feel bad now ☹️2
