Is that skeumorphism of words/sound by Unix developers ?5 -
Like the new feature on Google Play Store where the changelog can be directly seen in a dropdown on the updates page.3

Not asking students to learn the code. Seriously stop doing that.
Instead motivate them to understand the logic and then build it when required.3 -
So salty. Just got off from a long day at work with my coworkers after a significant sprint, so we all go to karaoke to celebrate and let loose. But naturally I have to be under 21, and the karaoke place cards, so I end up taking an Uber home by myself, which felt really fucking embarrassing. I wish there were venues in the city that didn't require you to be above the magical number of 21 years of age to have a good time.5

It was Adblock Plus that was making my Firefox Android terribly slow.
Just realized it after cursing 🔥Firefox for months.3 -
This weekly is getting really popular with so many rants coming in.
Shows the extent to which real coders/programmers/developers are tormented by the incompetent education system.
Here is my two cents:
Students should be taught to build their logic on paper before jumping on to their keyboards.2 -
I like Scala, but the docs suck.
The FAQ literally uses StackOverflow links as answers.
Not as references, where they write the complete answer and provide the link for reference or credits.
They actually just throw in the links.1 -
Working with machine learning gets very tiring sometimes.
Waiting for the results, tuning the parameters...
Arghhh....why does it keep getting stuck...1 -
I had learnt my lesson about the reality of group projects in the very first semester of graduation.
And from then on till the final project in my postgraduation, I refused to have a team and worked on every project alone (except for a few times when I couldn't convince the professor and even then made sure to not depend on anyone else).1 -
I didn't know I wanted the breadcrumbs so badly in the new VSCode 1.26.
It's a relief from continually hopping to the explorer and code-outline activity bar. -
Is there any rant/post that is atleast a week old but still got 0 ++ ?
That is neither any upvote nor any downvote.
P.S. Don't take it up as a challenge for this one.2 -
Microsoft Python Language Server SUCKS in both Visual Studio and VSCode. 😵😩😠
Doesn't provide suggestions for relative imports like "from ..".
Sticking to jedi... -
"Google Search Fixer" is a must on Firefox Android iff you use Google search.

Learning to use logging in Python for an existing application.
