I don't need you to reiterate what the problem is. I am aware. I was the one who told you what the problem is. Via email and Slack. Why do you keep restating it to me like you are the one who figured out? I know the table isn't syncing with the third party object. I'm trying to figure out WHY. No amount of "I'm pretty sure the sync process is broken" will trigger a solution. Stop coming into my office every 5 minutes with a new "revelation" that wasn't even your own. This isn't my code, and since the owner of said code is not here to fix it, I have to spend some time figuring out how this damn thing works. SO PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, LET ME WORK SO I CAN FIX THIS2

Thank God, most of my clients don't understand multithreading.
Just denied a feature

C is nice and all but have you ever had to massacre your code with preprocessor instructions to make your code portable?3

Dev1 : hey dude, I am not able to get the slider right like the one in the IMG they've created on WordPress, we need to show this to the client today. Can you help?

*Ctrl + Alt + Printscrn*
*opens Paint ---> crop --> save*

Done buddy, you owe me one. -
Trying to hire more good devs... it's surprisingly hard. Guy with supposed decade of JavaScript experience fails code test, "I don't really use map function so I don't know it."
R U kidding me
...and yet my "maybe we should consider remote devs" idea isn't getting any traction :/9 -
My team for the uni project is quite big (8 people) and we need to create a progressive web app. The problem is I am the only one who know some JavaScript and I am not even good at it. Does somebody have tips how to learn web dev quickly?4

Informative article on why Golang is relevant is today's computing ecosystem. I too find many server side programming being done in Golang nowadays. I liked its c like features and simplicity over complexity.

I've been trying to find a linux distro/de that "just works" for like a week and honestly, I'm kinda giving up and going back to Windows.
Everyone single one I've tried had some weird quirks, mostly audio and video related. Screen tearing everywhere, mic not working, distorted audio, jittery animations and very low responsiveness.
I really wanted to use Linux as my main OS, at least for work. I love the simplicity of package managers and the terminal. But honestly, I don't understand how something like that could be depicted as better than Windows. I'm sorry but Windows runs waaaaaaaay better on my desktop and PC it blows linux out of the water. Zero issues with drivers, no screen tearing, no distorted audio flying smooth animations and responsiveness.
I'm very disappointed, I was expecting Linux to be quicker and less bloated but god those hardware compatability issues just destroy everything good that linux has to offer.
Guess I'm going to install some background VM since I only really need to run terminal stuff and daemons for work.25 -
Muscle soreness!
As per my 2019 resolution, I want to hit the gym at least 3 days per week. But I only manage to go once a month. And the day after the gym, my muscles hurt that I'm not able to even type when coding.
Anyone like me, who struggled and managed to hit the gym as desired? Any tips?11 -
I am trying to organize a Dev meetup in my city. Anyone have any experience with that or general tips?4

Is it a good idea to go to a coding bootcamp and shell out thousands of dollars? How about a college? I know some devs think it’s best to self learn and pay no one. I’m currently trying to make a big decision and looking for pointers.3

When a PR merged to improve functionality breaks the functionality 🥳 and now I have to fix the FIX to fix it.2

I just witnessed this interaction between my CTO and an intern. CTO was a good 30 feet away, so everyone heard:
CTO: *talking about some notepad or something* "I HAVE ONE IN MY DESK!"
Intern: **froze - afraid to go through his desk**
CTO: "TOP DRAWER!"
Intern: ..........
CTO: "GET IT, FUCKER!"
Intern: **blushing - gently opens drawer**
CTO: "KEEP GOING! PAST THE CANDY!"
Intern: "I ..."
CTO: "PAST THE WHISKEY!"
Intern: **softly** "I found it..."
CTO: "THAT WAS HARD!"
Intern: *starts walking back*
(player 3 enters the game) Director of Software: "BRING THE WHISKEY!"
Note: The intern was laughing, he is just a bit timid.
I truly love my job.16 -

Attend all the meetings, they said. They're super important, they said. You'll get more code done if we hyper-report on progress they said. The bugs are piling up and we need to have even more meetings, they said.
STOP SAYING THINGS AT ME AND LET ME FUCKING CODE YOU INSUFFERABLE CUNTS.1
