Being the only dev in charge of the project, makes you the one to be blamed for.

The God saviour, shiny armoured back end developer that joined the "team" (only me) to help into this new project Just Said in a meeting:

So every meeting was
- "why feature X is not ready?"
- "I'm waiting the endpoint for It"

Now I fucking give up.

So today I decided to try out Kotlin on Android. Hacked up a little Textview-Button app. AMAZED with the little code.

So I was recently pushing some code into github, and i realized that i had over 500 repos, 400 of them being forks. I guess my 3yrs before self had thought that he will be the only saviour of all the android libs in the world.

So i am thinking of re organising my complete github ; like nuking the forks, combining my multiple mini project repos to 1 and keeping the repos to at most 10-12.

Is that a good idea? I mean companies usualy judge by github profiles, and after reorganising, most of my commit history would be lost.

I want to rant here but I have a lot of backlog. They’re all pretty deep for refinement. So I want to put them all in one sprint. Because I don’t want a marathon of ranting.
But I do realise in IT sprints never end, and eventually turn out to be a marathon of sprints. I came to a point to deliver over 100 story points in one sprint. Maybe I shall write a book instead of exploding this app.
I could have never imagined the dark side of this occupation.
However I love coding so much I’ll brush the backlog under the carpet😏

But you know there are always saviour heros wanted for refactoring. This honour goes to:

The arrogant guys who think they’re a genius when their code compiles.
The insecure guys who want to overpower the next available when their code doesn’t compile.
The egoists who like to underestimate and show of, where their faulty biased googles display a little girl instead of a developer.
The aggressives when they are invited to the reality and kindly offered to sit back on their place.

I hope this rant wouldn’t ouch anyone. If it does, not sorry, the message is delivered.

If there’s an offence or reaction to this refactoring job, the 4th one would be offered to clean the mess.

My PC kept booting into linux cause i installed two OS's on my HDD. Long story short, had to remove the Linux (it was Kali) and i didnt know how. And so started the longest few hours of my life.

I deleted the linux partition feeling like some genius that could speak to computers. To my suprise the computer didnt speak back, i restarted it and the GRUB bootloader had this sheepish grin on its face like as if it was saying, "Not sure who's been speaking to you all this time, but i bet you can hear me now, hehehe". I went down the rabbit hole that we all know and love called the google search bar.

My computer could no longer boot into windows, and i started to question my very existence on this earth. Hours of using our modern day saviour, google of alphabet inc, i came to an eventual conclusion. Grabbed a 4GB flash, made it into a bootable device and said good riddance to bad rubbish.

I don't know who it was that invented noise cancelling headphones but the person deserves to be a proclaimed as a saviour of humankind...

... or at least this open space. And I don't even have to be jailed, which is a plus.

I would like to say I'm able to by taking decent breaks, and by seeing friends after work and on weekends, but by the time I leave work I usually am done with interacting with people, outside of perhaps messaging.
So in that sense, Discord had been my saviour in that I can stay connected to people, but in a way that doesn't bring other aspects of social media into it.

I'm at my best when it is constantly raining outside. It's hasn't rained properly in 6 months or so here in Portugal :/

Productivity has been picking up last 2 months but it's still depressing for it to not rain for so long when it is the "saviour" of your work. Also my country is in a severe drought and the thought of no water doesn't help.
