Realized I hadn’t subjected you guys to cat photos.
The brown cat is Robert Lazarus (the rescue named him Bob) and the white and brown cat is Dylan Thomas (rescue named him Dylan).
Bobcat died as a kitten (thus his middle name) and was brought back to life, but was blind for a bit as a result. According to legend, Tomcat acted as his seeing eye cat when he wasn’t able to see on his own. Bobcat’s vision’s better now (though he still might have some issues as he’s a little iffy on balance sometimes), but the rescue didn’t want to separate the two of them since they were a bonded pair.
Loads of people wanted Tomcat but didn’t want to take a chance on a zombie cat. Which I’m constantly thankful for because they’re awesome. Even if they steal my keyboard and try to eat my notes and try (and succeed) to jump on me while I’m trying to cook because they want to play with the feather toy that’s been hidden (not so well!) on top of the fridge and know it’s their best shot at getting up there.8 -

Don't you just love it when the lead developer/project manager comes in and totally revamps your code even though it does the same exact thing as it was written before? And then when it's not working he blames you because it's in GIT as your commit...2

Working for a company that micro manages, my boss asked me to build a script that calculates hours employee is not on his seat through camera feeds.
Received a mail today that my first weeks deficit are 7 hrs.23 -
One of the things I love the most about programming is that sometimes you feel like you're taking a step forward when you're taking a step back... and sometimes you feel like you're taking a step back when you take a step forward.
Or maybe that's just me. XD12 -
Doot doot.
My day: Eight lines of refactoring around a 10-character fix for a minor production issue. Some tests. Lots of bloody phone calls and conference calls filled with me laughing and getting talked over. Why? Read on.
My boss's day: Trying very very hard to pin random shit on me (and failing because I'm awesome and fuck him). Six hours of drama and freaking out and chewing and yelling that the whole system is broken because of that minor issue. No reading, lots of misunderstanding, lots of panic. Three-way called me specifically to bitch out another coworker in front of me. (Coworker wasn't really in the wrong.) Called a contractor to his house for testing. Finally learned that everything works perfectly in QA (duh, I fixed it hours ago). Desperately waited for me to push to prod. Didn't care enough to do production tests afterwards.
My day afterwards: hey, this Cloudinary transform feature sounds fun! Oh look, I'm done already. Boo. Ask boss for update. Tests still aren't finished. Okay, whatever. Time for bed.
what a joke.
Oh, I talked to the accountant after all of this bullshit happened. Apparently everyone that has quit in the last six years has done so specifically because of the boss. Every. single. person.
I told him it was going to happen again.
I also told him the boss is a druggie with a taste for psychedelics. (It came up in conversation. Absolutely true, too.) It's hilarious because the company lawyer is the accountant's brother.
So stupid.18 -
I'm here, wide awake at 4:30 am... Not because my brain is stuck on a problem, but because I am so happy with the code I wrote that I'm too excited to fall asleep.7

So I thought it would be cool to build UI/Screens for Flutter apps and put them out for the world to use. People are already using my designs in their apps and it just feels amazing. I am continuously adding new screens and widgets as and when I get time.
Feel free to fork and show some love: https://github.com/samarthagarwal/...3 -
I'm porting an OpenGL project to work with WebAssembly, I'm using emscripten to compile/generate the 'glue' to JS. Sofar I'm able to render my gl code properly through the glfw3 framework. I know you can use emscripten callbacks for input, however I was hoping to keep my existing glfw3 callback setup, that said the only callback that seems to be working properly is mouse position, window resize, keyboard, etc never get called. If anyone knows how to enable these I'd be super greatful!1

- Good evening, this is the support hotline for stupid questions, how may I help you?
- Hi, is this the support hotline for stupid questions?2 -
Do I want to go into research or industry? I must only answer which is funnier "PhD Comics" or "CommitStrip."
This is the way to decide things.2 -
I know this is not StackOverflow but is there a way to send TCP packets using JavaScript? I can't find a pretty solution. Why I can't find an API like "sockets" from Python to JavaScript?
Telnet API will be fine too.
Thanks!3 -
guys/gals, I need your wisdom. Especially from the ones owning startups.
How do you juggle between your project and work at some company (stable income source)? Accelerators, personal financers (mom, pops, best-bud swimming in $$$s, some fat guy in the neighbourhood, etc.), or do you simple multitask btwn daily job and your project?
I'm trying the latter but it's nearly impossible to do anything productive at home after 9 hours at office..3 -
So I was hanging out with a pharmacy student, and they had a box full of over the counter medicine. The box had something for almost anything common; cold, allergies, and so on.
So my question is, do you guys have something like this but with technology? Like a box full of random computer stuff (cables, parts, USB drives, and so on)?4
