I love programming drunk! I can't sit still and always want to do stuff. When I'm drunk / tipsy I come up with ideas and start working on it. Most of the time in the morning, when my mind is clear, I'm not so creative and open minded as I'm drunk. Sometimes my ideas ain't that bad, but I loose interest in developing it any further. So I stop working on it.
This is a while == true loop -
I just had the most embarrassing moment in programming... I am writing an administration / client / invoice webapp and I was testing an export function that worked locally, because everything that was being exported was inside the folder.
So I exported the files in test production, but some invoices didn't exist. So when they don't exist, the system creates a new invoice.
Because I was running on the test production (with client data) the system emailed the created invoices to the clients.. now I have to contact some clients and tell them the invoices were sent accidentally.2 -
Got stuck on a project for a whole day. Just got out of bed, start my computer, got a cup of coffee and in 5 minutes I found the problem.
Just amazing what a well rested body can do.7 -
Recently I deal with low motivation, because of my internship. I have to write a lot of reports and I just hate that. I'm almost at the end of my internship, these reports just get higher priority.
So instead of being busy with my internship I just start a random side project. The advantage is that I don't think about the reports and the disadvantage is that I don't think about the reports... so at the moment I just don't want to do anything at all.
What I meant to say is, please keep in mind that it's not all about work. Just do stuff that you like, but make sure you have the right balance between it. I just started too late with a relaxing side project and lost track of time and now I only can work on my reports, writing 10 lines a day or so..1 -
A few days back I read an article about ethical hacking and get rewarded for bug bounty. I thought that might be interested.
AND
I'm about to send out my first ethical hack report to a company! I'm nervous because I don't know how they'll respond. It's an xss vulnerability, and I really hope they'll fix it.5 -
Fucking windows update.. after the spring update the mobile driver is broken or somehow it doesn't recognized my mobile. Fucking cunts.1

Made my move from Linux Mint to Pop!_OS. Enjoying it so far. I am really lazy and doing most of the stuff with shortcuts, the OS really simplifies that.2

Do u ever had the feeling that you're just too tired to do anything? Well I just had a full week of just doing nothing.. fuck this1

Besides my study I work as an student assistant at the university. My next project is developing an platform for children to learn the basics of programming. Really excited about it! Let the next generation meet with our work!

Will add better photos in the comments!
A client of mine received an spoofed email from their domain. It was a
script with visual basic source code.
Maybe someone here can explain what the script does?
Client didn't opened the file!25 -
Today I had a reflection with an client and they surprised me with a present. They wanted to thank me for the hard work and effort I made.
Wauw! It just keeps me motivating to work hard and keep my clients happy!4 -
I had a project idea for creating my own cloud service based on DO spaces. Today I started.
Had the webapp done in several hours and it's already deployed. Next step: the mobile app. I tried out Flutter and I have to say, for beta it's really good! So I'll work with Flutter for the mobile app.
Excited dev here! -
Soo, lets talk about deadlines and how often I come in trouble when there is one near. This week I have (had) three. So I had a lot of problems this week.
But, after all today was a really good day.
I deleted an production database, fucked up my laravel migrations and tomorrow we have to deploy another application. The app is still in development and the site isn´t finished yet.
Friday I need to launch another webapplication. Because I don't want to deploy webapps and apps on friday and I go snowboarding next week, I somehow convinced my client to launch it next week. He agreed with me, so that's a burden off my shoulder. And I'll have an extra day for fixing the last bugs.
Today I worked really hard and almost finished the last application. So I think after all I'll somehow manage it.1 -
Today I had my first app preview. It went really well, although not all the functionalities worked as expected, the product owner was very pleased!
Perfect start of this week! -
I see a lot of rants about Linux dual boot with Windows and Windows update fucks up grub. So I bought a new ssd and reinstalled Linux, but damn.. its always a lot of work to make everything work again. Every time I still learn new things and I don't have to be afraid anymore after Windows update

That moment you test your api and the enter key is stuck, so postman sends a lot of requests to the server and your ip gets blacklisted...
-
Updated Visual Studio and now my Xamarin app can't post the login and register credentials anymore. My server api is working, I tested with postman. Can't find any help online and I'm fucking done!
-
So, this week I started working on my first mobile app with Xamarin Forms. I already have a login and register functionality. The mobile app is connected to an Laravel API and SQL database. Happy with the progress so far.
I am new to C# so I had some struggles, but after some days I began to really like it.9 -
Creating my first mobile application in Xamarin Forms. Still figuring out how that framework works, but I'm excited!
Application is for my internship. Helping students study better with metacognitive strategies.
I don't even know what it is, so this is going to be fun. -
I changed my Wi-Fi name to Syntax Error and made some changes to the configuration. I wanted to disable the admin page at the 2.4Ghz connection, but I got kicked out at 5Ghz as well. So I couldn't log in anymore and resetting the router didn't helped.
So I called the ISP if they can restore it to factory settings, but the guy on the phone didn't understand a thing I said. He said to me: "Sir I don't exactly understand what u say, but I can see an Syntax Error. Do you want me to fix it." And I laughed and I laughed.. I told him that's the Wi-Fi name but ofcourse he didn't got the joke. I called again and got someone else on the phone. He's resetting the router in a one minute call.
Had some fun this morning.11 -
My final commit in 2017 is a bug in my salt state 😢 but my friends are waiting so the fix has to wait until tomorrow!

In 2017 I learned a lot of new things and I’m very happy with the progress I’ve made. I think 2018 will be even better! I’m busy developing my own hosting platform and it’s been an hell of a ride. Hopefully I can get it in beta in the first months of 2018. Wishing you all the best for 2018!1
