So I accidentally published my AWS keys to GitHub, stupid me. I realize this the next day.
$ git reset
$ git push
Reset keys in AWS
I was too late. Bot already stole the keys and started up 53 EC2 instances. Racked up $4000+ of compute time (probably Bitcoin mining, I'd assume)
4 weeks later, I finally have this shit disputed and settled.
Don't test with hardcoded keys. You WILL forget about them. Env vars always. That is all.30
Interviewer: Do you have created any android application before?
Dev: I just built an application to increase, farming production to help farmers earn some more money. It's less profitable but makes farmers better.
Interviewer: That's so stupid. Do you know Jeff Bezos?
Interviewer: we need someone like that level of visionary to make money for our company. Sorry, we don't think you can make apps that makes people do stupid things for fame.
Dev: Do you know Nicola Tesla
Interviewer : yes
Dev: Well he should have pulled the plug long ago.6
The list would be quite long.
I think Google is still making good tools, but just like Apple the integrations get all so tight and constricting... And with their data, if it goes wrong, it will go wrong hard.
I feel like YouTube is gliding into a state where cheap clickbait floats to the top and finding quality gets more difficult as well, their algorithm is more and more tuned to choose recent popular stuff over good older gems.
Microsoft is all pretend lovey dovey cuddling open source, but I'm still suspicious it's all a hug of death. I was never a big fan, but they're seriously dropping balls when it comes to windows-as-a-service, taking away so much personal control from end users even though they can't be trusted to babysit either.
Amazon is creeping it's way through the internet, charging $10/m to join the vip club infesting houses with spytubes to sell more plastic crap. Bezos' only right to keep wasting oxygen is BlueOrigin, but he'll probably fuck that up as well turning spaceflight into a decadent prime consumer orgy instead of something inspiring.
Facebook... Well, that's self explanatory. Fuck it, everything it pretends to be, and everyone who still has an account with a rusty spike.
Uber and AirBnB, with their fake ass mission of a green shared economy, but they trample over employees, customers and neighbors to build their ivory towers of progressive illusions.
Then there's a million declining brands.
I liked Skype for example when it was first released, Just like how I started out liking (and then hating) Discord, Slack, etc... They're all tools which seem fast and easy, but then they get us further away from solid protocols, get us entrenched into limiting, bloated and sometimes even dangerous tools. As my dad used to say: "Companies are like women, if you go for cheap, fast and easy you'll end up with a burning dick and half your savings gone"
You know what, fuck all tech companies.
OK, devrant is still pretty nice... For now.9
These Google/FB/etc algorithms almost know what I like. Almost. And that makes it even more infuriating...

Paper: "Net worth of Jeff Bezos crossed $150 billion"
Me: Why do I give a shit? It was at 132B before, now it's 150B. He was the richest guy before, he still is now. Apart from a few numbers on paper, nothing's really changed. Show some real news and stop wasting my time with this shit.12
Jeff Bezos' wife is divorcing him.
And just like that, she's worth more than I could ever dream of being worth. Holy fuck.25
All the Jeff Bezos and Pichai fanboys aside .. we really should appreciate Nadella for the work he has done with the mess left by the Steve Ballmer .. 🤔 especially with all the developments now .. visual studio code , GitHub embracing the open source market and understanding Microsoft's customer , market trends and what a true consumer product is. What say ?10
Why are all the feminists silent who support equality between genders regarding the Jeff Bezos case? They should suggest her to be independent and not take her husbands assets right? 🤔🤔21
I hope and wish that a big company will support/back up VueJS. Maybe then VueJS can be commonly seen as a job requirement.
Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk?15
I just read Jeff Bezos' article on Medium about how the ones at American Media are threatening him of leaking his private pictures.
As I was reading it, I felt, "Man, how low has journalism come to these days. Here is a guy who's worked so hard to build one of the world's biggest companies, and here are the ones at the National Enquirer trying to bring this man down."
To be honest, who gave them the right to indulge in a person's private life? Why do they have to say, "A nude selfie with his wedding ring on?" Maybe, he sent that image to his wife. This makes me wonder, "Is this the way we treat humans?"
Why are we concerned about what a man does in his personal life? What impact does taking down a man in public bring?
Is anyone else concerned by the state of the industry?
Jeff Bezos is on track to surpass Bill Gates as the wealthiest man in tech. Amazon has a history of questionable actions (look up Nucleus, Diapers.com, BookSurge, MacMillan vs Amazon, and Hachette).
They are known to have a strong lobbying presence and often pay lower wages than their competitors.
I buy from Amazon because I like their service and prices (not always the cheapest, but arguably the best buying experience), but with every purchase I can't help but wonder what I'm contributing to.
It's obvious small tech companies struggle to survive and that is the result of our consumption.5
amazon has hit 1T$ market cap. fffuckin bezos.

So that is why strangers want to send me videos/etc. on WhatsApp then !
Not that I could ever get it to install mind you!
Jeff Bezos' cell phone was hacked in 2018 after he received a malicious WhatsApp message from the crown prince of Saudi Arabia, months before the National Enquirer exposed his affair, it has been claimed.
The Amazon billionaire received a video file containing malicious code from Mohammed Bin Salman's personal phone number, The Guardian reported on Tuesday.
According to forensic examination of the phone afterwards, the message was sent on May 1, 2018. Within hours, a large amount of data from Bezos' phone was extracted. There is no detail of what kind of data was taken.
However, there does not appear to be any reports of the vulnerability being actively exploited in the wild.
Apart from the one above maybe..
So, be careful out there !7
Jeff Bezos is now the wealthiest person the planet. Not in history, like an incorrect article I read. Shortlist of wealthier historical figures (certainly, given inflation) : Mansa Musa/Malian kings of same lineage, The British Monarchy for approx 1000 years, Roman Caesars, Lorenzo D'Medici, Francesco Borgia. The list goes on...
Whats actually troubling besides the fact that a well known publication would print something so historically inaccurate, is that the wealthy of today can only properly be compared to monarchs, warlords, and god-kings. THAT, is a terrifying reality.5
Fuck you aws.
I forgot to stop extra ec2 and you changed 500 bucks.
Although it is my fault, still aws didn't notify me even after i had set up budget.
Fucking jeff bezos9
Damn! Jeff Bezos is the world's richest man with now over 142 billion USD!!
I wonder if he feels some kind of existential crisis everyday.
