A young Programmer and his Project Manager board a train headed through the mountains on its way to Wichita. They can find no place to sit except for two seats right across the aisle from a young woman and her grandmother. After a while, it is obvious that the young woman and the young programmer are interested in each other, because they are giving each other looks. Soon the train passes into a tunnel and it is pitch black. There is a sound of a kiss followed by the sound of a slap. When the train emerges from the tunnel, the four sit there without saying a word. The grandmother is thinking to herself, "It was very brash for that young man to kiss my granddaughter, but I'm glad she slapped him." The Project manager is sitting there thinking, "I didn't know the young tech was brave enough to kiss the girl, but I sure wish she hadn't missed him when she slapped me!" The young woman was sitting and thinking, "I'm glad the guy kissed me, but I wish my grandmother had not slapped him!" The young programmer sat there with a satisfied smile on his face. He thought to himself, "Life is good. How often does a guy have the chance to kiss a beautiful girl and slap his Project manager all at the same time!"3
If Internet Explorer is brave enough to ask you to make it your default browser, you're brave enough to ask that girl out.6
"If I receive a email from myself, send an email to myself"
Now I should send an email to myself but I'm not enough brave22
My computer science teacher is very sly: while you are working he stands right behind you for some time, so you start writing good code, functions for everything, perfect indentation... But you don't know if he is still behind you, and you're not brave enough to look back, so you write good code for the rest of the lesson.
What a good prof8
My college organised some interview with a company, with the whole demn class. We went there, it was quite far away (50km) and the CEO invites us to a meeting room.
Where he bores me for 2 hours talking about their projects in argiculture and NSA like spying systems at tankstations.
They were caputuring license plates at gas stations and with that information gather data about the person, such as salary (by looking at their car), house adres ect. All without people knowing. And than targeting them with specific ads and offers.
The class of sheep were super excited but it pissed me off. Because he told it like it was some awesome advancement in technology that none of us could probably ever do.
He was demeaning us, saying we would do some simple wordpress sites there and other things. We are probably not good enough forc te big stuff.
Asking him some really hard questions about his projects made him so pissed he almost wanted to kick me out.
When it was finally over, there was some test that you have to do if you want to work there. If you were good enough at the test, you could!!!! (YEEY)
Uhm, I said; no thank you I dont want to work here.
Later I talked to my classmate and friend who always thinks he's better then everyone in class even tho he barely understands OOP programming. He was asking me if he should try to get the internship. I told him; dont. They have no value for us and they think they are the greatest company on the planet.
The fucking idiot go so pissed, he stopped talking to me alltogether and blocked me everywere. I AM NOT EVEN JOKING. Just because I gave my FUCKING opinon about a company he likes for no reason.
So this idiot does the test (which was fucking simple btw, I did it too and compared the results and I had 95%) He gets invited for another interview and gets told he will be paid 200 euro's per month 😂. and a free meal everyday!! 😪 hahaha . That doesnt even cover commuting costs!
My "friend" told him that the train costs more every day. You know what the CEO said? "Yeah but you can learn so much here the also brings value and you're just a last year student. But I think you are really brave for asking more"
So in the end, he couldnt take the internship and I was fucking right. Really I hate these kinds of companies thinking they are heaven on earth when they are clearly not.
I am happy I told them no before putting my dignity on thd line.13
This run up to Christmas is the shit. Everything is suddenly urgent. No time to do a proper job. If that isn't bad enough, you are also tasked with thinking up some ideas for family Christmas presents, as if i give a flying fuck. I dont mind the break for the holidays but i fucking hate Christmas but have to put a brave face on and celebrate (what exactly am i celebrating). And no scrooge comments please.9
That one horrendous in-house legacy application that should be ditched, but no one is brave enough to start building replacement from scratch ... Every company has one.5
When Internet Explorer is brave enough to ask to be your standart browser you should be brave enough to ask your girl out!4
Just discover that I can send "echo bomb" to one of my fellow students trough SSH with the write command.
Then I discover the wall command to send messages to every connected user. Not sure if I am brave enough or if I am going to be banned from our network if I do that 😅5

Way back, 20 or so years ago, when I went to the university, every student got an account so that we could work with the Unix machines. Every user got the same default password, -apollo-, still remember it until today, and one day I felt a little bit evil and I tried to login to the administrator account, of course the first password I tried was the default password and it worked!!! I got super scared and told an older student about it, who was brave enough to scare the administrators a little bit by leaving a message like "you have been hacked!!!" or something similar. I was just too scared to do anything about it. All I wanted to do was see IF I could login ☺️ my few minutes of being Mr. Robot... Guess hacking was not for me 😃

I have lost now another device to planned obscolence (how is that still legal), my g3 officially took its last breath two days ago, first it was its battery dying (thousands of devices broke that way [exactly two years after buying it] and at that time there was no batteries to replace it with) - whoever was brave enough to hold onto his device for longer than the battery failure - he then faced the simcard reader breaking and that was my case now too.
I asked many colleagues for help and even found a guy that does repairs for the oldest phones (got too excited), but even he couldnt find the issue, besides a guess that its the main chip that partially died on purpose or it got somewhere desoldered by the always and poorly managed overheating issue, which would cost almost the same to replace as just getting a new phone in the end and even then, theres probably a third switch they planned, to give you the final bullet.
I got a Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 now and really gotta say they have an amazing near vanilla android experience and their "two phone" isolated spaces are quite handy to seperate work and private notifications, apps and files.
It was even compatible with lineageOS and has a simple website to unlock the bootloader (a first for me, never saw any company making it that easy), but after trying their version of it, I don't even have to switch.
I will still miss the vibration motor of the g3, the feedback of it when typing is still to this day the best one I ever tried.8

Wait... I'm an introvert, Never mind!1
Morpheus: Do you want to know what is the Dark Side, Neo?
Neo swallows and nods his head.
Morpheus: Unfortunately, no one can be told what the Dark Side is. You have to see it for yourself.
In Neo's right hand, Morpheus drop a red pill in his left, a blue pill.
Morpheus: If you take the red pill, you will join the Dark Side. If you take the blue one, the story will end. After this, there is no going back.
Remember that all I am offering is the truth. Nothing more.
Neo opens his mouth and swallows the red pill.
So... are you brave enough like Neo, to join the Dark Side?5
If Internet Explorer is brave enough to ask you to be your default browser, you should be brave enough to ask your crush out.
You know the saying "if you're brave enough", right? In Alestorm they know it too!
Who dares to say that he/she has cracked a system of any kind for his/her own benefit?
If you are brave enough please mention what kind of system.2
