This is dedicated to all Webdevs, especially those WordPress fanboys.
I was reflecting on some things since I do more frequent freelance jobs at the time. And I have to admit: people are fucking crazy.
I had some serious talk with customers and some serious talk for people I work as subsidiary.
The average customer thinks a nice webpage costs I'm 9-50 bucks. They got some shitty Webhosting for 1-5$/month including domain and think they are set.
They have unclear visions about what they actually want, it all boils down to "I like the design". I made a page for someone who just posted images, no text nothing and I told him a trillion times NEEDS some text, even a fucking picture description would be sufficient, else he'll never score anything at google.
Ofc it got denied, now he's bitching how nobody finds the site when they google his name. The other thing is that Wordpress became the solution for everything.
I'm a fucking certified magento developer and I hate magento with a passion. Magento is an overabstracted clusterfuck and believe me, I did the certification I had to learn more than average about the core. But damn, don't slap woocommerce on everything.
Narrowninded fucktards, the cheap out of the box solution isn't always the best.
Don't cry if you got hacked because you were too dumb to upgrade your wordpress. Don't tell me to do some "enhancements" on a server you probably share with 100 other uses. I can't fix your Webserver with your shitty ftp account.
I also hate WordPress with a burning passion. Cum guzzling cavetroll it is. It has it usages, but don't rely on a core So small every kind of extra functionality has to somehow tinkered on it and then expect it to work flawlessly and for 10$ price.
Of course you can buy a theme that, if it would have been special made for you cost 800$ or more, but it wasn't. It just looks like it from the outside. If you want customization you are at the mercy of the option it provides. I can't even tell how many times i spent whole evenings explaining how their shiny template works. Just to do some crazy shit with JavaScript like rearranging domelements because it didn't work as expected.
I still stay to my word. Nothing great has been nor will be created with a Wordpress core. Don't tell me how some great stuff has been achieved. Or wait, please do so. But before you do think about if that wouldn't been faster, cheaper, more reliable , etc... if done with a framework like symphony or laravel... or even zend or cake.
And that brings me back to the point:
Is cheap and "out of the box" really what you need and desire? As customer and as developer?6 -
I am a female manager at a small, mostly male company, and directly manage several people (all male). One of the six has worked for me for multiple years. Since he began his employment, I always felt he had a “crush” on me and kept my distance (as much as I could as his manager).
His crush has gotten increasingly more obsessive over the past year: constantly staring at me, using absurd reasons to contact me through email/messenger/texts, whether at work or evening/weekends, and getting extremely emotional/upset if I do not frequently talk with him or provide feedback for his every task. He never says anything inappropriate or makes any advances but is making me increasingly more uncomfortable.
My tendency to avoid the employee combined with my obvious annoyance with his increasingly absurd reasons to interact with me is reflecting poorly on my management skills — to the extent that my manager is questioning my abilities to manage.24 -

This is fucking horrible and if this happens at many companies I understand why women leave techjobs.12 -
Christmas reminds me of my favourite development team ever. I first visited the team for a quick hello, before I started working with them, at Christmas time. Unlike the rest of the the company they had decorations and Christmas treats and the radio was on with Christmas songs. This set a very good impression.
When I did come to join them after the holidays I discovered that this team like having treats, would often sing songs together randomly and even make up new ones about their code on the spot. They had a great attitude to work and made the working environment a fun place to be. We did get lots done but I also learned so much being with them. When I left they wrote me a card filled with raps they had come up with reflecting my time with them. I still have that card.
I miss you guys dearly. Merry Christmas xxx -
Linux is shit, OSX and iOS are trash, windows is the only OS that actually works, open source is always inferior to closed source, if you use VPN or encryption youre a criminal, java is slow, vim worse than nano, ..
Now that I've got your attention and you probably raged and downvoted.
Downvotes don't actually work on devrant. (not a bug)
This has been going on for months already - why have that function to begin with, if its just not fucking working? The usual answer to people throwing a fit is "just downvote it", WHY? it doesnt fucking work.
For a while specific options while downvoting DID actually work, but now any of the downvote options are just straight trashed and ignored, they are saved, dont get me wrong (or else it would be too obvious), but they dont affect any of the scores at all.
I understand mass bot downvoting should be prevented, but why take away anyones voice by completely ignoring downvotes. I really dont get it, its not "punishing" the creator of said post or comment, its simply reflecting what the users actually think of said comment or post, it boils my blood how thats even a thing, I am honestly disappointed.
Why should also downvoting something hide it from the feed (especially on the "recent" filter), let me fucking decide what I want on my feed via option then atleast. What if I don't agree with a rant, downvote it, but then want to see what others thought of it? how am I supposed to find it again?

Alright lads here is the thing, have not been posting anything other than replies to things cuz I have been busy being miserable at school and dealing with work stuff.
Our manager left us back in February. Because she was leaving I decided that I wanted to try a different path and went on to become a programmer analyst for my institution, if anything I knew that it was going to be pretty boring work, but it came with nice monetary compensation and a foot in the door for other data science related jobs in the future. Thing is, the department head asked me to stay in the web technologies department because we had a lack of people there and hiring is hard as shit, we do not do remote jobs since our work usually requires a level of discretion and security. Thus I have been working in the web tech department since she left albeit with a different title since I aced the interview for the analyst position and the team there were more than happy to have me. I have done very few things for them, some reports here and there and mostly working directly with the DBA in some projects. One migration project would have costed my institution a total of 58k and we managed to save the cost by building the migration software ourselves.....honestly it was a fucking cake walk, if you had any doubts about the shaddyness of enterprise level applications regarding selling overpriced shit with different levels of complexity, keep them, enterprise is shaddy af indeed. But I digress.
I wrote the specification for the manager position along the previous manager, we had decided that the next candidate needed to be strong with development knowledge as well as other things as to properly understand and manage a software team, we made the academic requirement(fuck you, yes we did ask for academic requirements) to be either in the Computer Science/software engineering area or at least on the Business Administration side. We were willing to consider BA holders in exchange for having knowledge of the development process of different products and a complete understanding of what developers go through. NOT ONE SINGLE motherfucker was able to satisfy this, some of them were idiots that I knew from before that had ABSOLUTELY no business even considering applying to the position, the courage it took for some of these assholes to apply would have hurt their mothers, their God if they had one, and their country, they were just that fucking bad in their jobs as well as being overall shit people.
Then we had 1 candidate actually fall through the cracks enough to get an interview. My dude here was lying out of his ass through the interview process. According to him he had "lots of Laravel experience and experience managing Laravel projects" and mentioned repeatedly how it would be a technology that we should consider for our products. I was to interview him alongside the vice president of our institution due to the head of my department and the rest of the managers for I.T being on vacation leave all at the same bloody time.
Backstory before the interview:
Whilst I was going over the interview questions with the vice president literally offered me the job instead. I replied with honesty, reflecting how I did not originally wanted him but feeling that our institution was ready to settle on any candidate due to the lack of potentials. He was happy to do it since apparently both him and the HOD were expecting me to step up sooner or later. I was floored.
Regardless, out of kindness he wanted to go through the interview.
So, going back to the interview. As soon as the person in question referenced the framework I started to ask him about it, just simple questions, the first was "what are your thoughts on the Eloquent ORM? I am not too fond of it and want to know what you as a full time laravel dev think of it"
his reply: "I am sorry I am not too familiar with it, I don't know what that is" <--- I appreciated his honesty in this but thought it funny that someone would say that he was a Laravel developer whilst not knowing what an ORM was since you can't really get away from using it on the initial stages of learning about Laravel, maybe if one wanted to go through the hurdle of switching to something like doctrine...but even then, it was....odd.
So I met with the hod when he came back, he was stoked at the prospect of having me become the manager and I happily accepted the position. It will be hell, but I don't even need to hit the ground running since I have been the face of the department since ages. My team were ecstatic about it since we are all close friends and they have been following my directions without complaints(but the ocational eat a dick puto) for some time, we work well together and we are happy to finally have someone to stop the constant barrage that comes from people taking advantage of a missing manager.
Its gonna get good, its gonna get fun, and i am getting to see how shit goes.7 -

I used to read.. A lot. Long and complicated stories, where the plot would only unveil itself after a long time. I used to dig myself into a book, learning about the writer's thoughts and mental image, reflecting on our differing viewpoints on the question at hand. I didn't expect action or beauty, merely thoughts which, by themselves, constitued a value to me.
But pulp and especially social media had lowered my attention span to the point that even reading through a short story without getting sidetracked takes a lot of effort. I still value what I used to value, the only thing that's changed is that I no longer have the patience and I feel discomfort due to the lack of sensations.
What do I do? Had anyone solved this problem before?2 -
Upon reflection, I think that the amount of math I learned in school pales in comparison to the amount I learned about LaTeX. I could pretty reliably recreate the textbook rendition of the problem. Maybe it's just me but just knowing the solution felt too abstract. I want a solid looking execution of it.
I'm graduating today so I don't know how relatable this is for everyone else. I'm just reflecting.3 -
Real story :
There's this one colleague, who was a very good friend of mine. Always helped me in everything. That one friend in the team, who shares a lot of stuff with you.
And she suddenly, turns offensive when it comes to professional things and mainly competitive stuff in the team.
She becomes a completely different person when I get recognition for something in the team or when I become popular in the team.
She has that feeling that she should always stay in the lime light.
When I steal the show by doing something good, she starts to show faces.
Decided that it is a unhealthy friendship, as the friend i knew is no longer a friend when it comes into professional behavior at work,
And it started reflecting a lot in our personal friendship, outside work too.
Decided to cut the friendship and only be colleagues.
Did the same happen to someone else? Did you lose a friend because of things like this?4 -
The whole company [cult]ure bullshit has really gotten out of hand. When management sets new deadlines that only put stress on the devs then decide to have some cringe AF company bonding soirée in the middle of the work day who benefits from this? The rebranded HR platoon thinks all employees want to participate in basically mandatory chum-it-up gatherings. Don’t get me wrong I love to party and enjoy myself, but I go to work to do just that. Work. And when other departments whose main responsibility is setting up events for the technical staff, they never seem to consider these work loads or what other people actually want. It might seem all fun and dandy on the surface but when you hear tales of people talking in the closed offices about so-and-so because they aren’t reflecting the cultural values, it starts to seem very fucking problematic. Like why would anyone ever say anything when you would probably just get the boot for just being too different, even though all this sits on top of some guise of, “a diverse work environment”. All in all I hope this [cult]ure shit summers down sooner than later. And I’m in a right to work state, so transparency be damned.1
-
The more frustrated I get with a project the less my commit messages are expressive about the code changes and the more the end up reflecting my disposition. I'm sorry to all future employees who may want to know what I did but hopefully you get a laugh.5
-
Took me solid 9min to realise I'm changing admin settings on testing server, was mindfucked why my local is not reflecting any changes.
Now I want to slap myself.....2 -
Applying Occam's razor and I might be wrong..
Hiring a candidate and job hunt, both are fucking exhaustive process.
We, as a human race, have aimed for Moon and Mars but are unable to solve the problem at hand which can save millions of hours each year reflecting in immediate cost savings.
Here's my (idealistic) solution:
A product to connect job seekers and recruiters eliminating all the shitty complexities.
LinkedIn solved it, but then hired some PMs who started chasing metrics and bloated the fuck out of the product.
Here are some features of the product I am envisioning:
1. Job seeker signs up and builds their entire profile.
2. Ability to add/remove different sections (limited choices like certifications, projects, etc.), no custom shit allowed because each will have their own shit.
3. By default accept GDPR, Gender Identity, US equality laws, Vetran, yada yada..
4. No resume needed. Profile serves as resume. Eliminate the need to build a resume in word or resume builders.
5. Easy updates and no external resume, saves the job seeker time and gives a standard structure to recruiters to scan through eliminating cognitive load.
6. Recruiters can post their jobs and have similar sections (limited categories again).
7. Add GDPR, Vetran, etc. check boxes need basis.
8. No social shit. Recruiters can see profiles of job seekers and job seekers can see jobs. Period.
9. Employee working in Google? Awesome. Will not show Google recruiters thier profile and employee such job posts.
10. No need to apply or hunt heads. System will automatch and recommend because we are fucking in AI generation and how hard it is to match keywords!!
11. Saves job seekers and recruiters a fuck ton of time hunting the best fit.
12. This system gets you the best job that fits your profile.
Yes, there are flaws in this idea.
Yes, not all use cases are covered.
Yes, shit can be improved and this is hypothetical.
But hey! Surely doable with high impact than going on Moon or Mars right now.
Start-up world has lost its way.11 -
I can now leave freely without any regrets!
The slight misgivings I had about leaving this place over the toys they provide, is now gone because I re-realized that while this place adopts new tech, it doesn't adapt to it. So they have shiny tools but the people and processes won't change.
It seems to me that due to pressure to deliver, there is little thought/analysis behind any tech change.
They don't plan to change their wretched delivery pipelines. Everything will be same but on git. So no velocity gains, and same bureaucratic review request process. Such a waste. This attitude applies to their other tools too. They are using a unit test library to write tests that don't use mock. They are using modern languages but without modern idioms. It's like writing C code in C++. And of course theoretically we are agile but actually we're just a waterfall team with managers on our ass everyday and tighter release schedules.
Reminds me of @boombodies recent posts and discussion about business spaghetti reflecting in code.
There are possibly multiple reasons for these problems but I think a large part of it is a lack of empathy/mutual respect. Everyone's too insecure, noone cares for anyone but themselves and people just try to outwit each other. -
I want to get your take on an icebreaker I was subjected to recently. For a 9 a.m. Monday morning training last week, the facilitator opened with, “Tell us your name, your team, how long you’ve been with the company, and a ‘scar story’. Pick a scar on your body and tell us how you got it. If you prefer not to talk about a physical scar, you can tell us about an emotional scar.” I am not joking.
As we went around the room, there were lots of blood and guts stories (gross) but people also shared really traumatizing tales, like an infant daughter being diagnosed with leukemia. The whole thing took 30 minutes of a 90-minute session. I was very turned off by the activity in the moment and even more so later after reflecting a bit.
Besides this one being in very bad taste, I find myself turned off by icebreakers in general. They feel forced and never seem to give you a useful introduction to your colleagues. I’m wondering if your readers have ever participated in an icebreaker they think was particularly effective or are these just a reality of office life we need to endure?2 -
This is a praise not a rant.
Anyone else feel like sometimes they owe their successes to Stack Overflow? Reflecting back over my decade as a professional developer, I couldn't count the number of deadlines I would have missed.1 -
Reflecting back on my previous post regarding quitting my job without an offer . Today the final email from system came : my resignation is accepted, my lwd is 7th dec and portal no longer shows the with draw button. The small spark with potential to burn the world did burn it , so her we are.
3 people were supposed to be part of this seperation : my current manager, the avp (person who hired me, was sr manager back then) and HR. HR was on leave for 2 days and all my emails went into auto reply from her, and when she came back, she approved the resignation without any discussion.
my manager(EL), who is the primary cause of me taking this step, tried talking to me. I can't say its because of u, so I simply said WLB, I need work from home. She tried to bring facts : why wfh? you are doing fine in hybrid ? you are getting 6h work every day? your joining letter said all days working from office?
I didn't entertain those points. The meeting ended in 5 mins.
Next day I emailed again regarding my status and she was the person who texted me saying such emails are not acceptable, go to portal and initiate seperation. she shared the steps and as i was about to press the button, I got a call from the avp
I tried the excuse approach bit he was able to see through it (he was showing disappointment). his talking style is charming, so I eventually opened up to him. the call lasted 30 mins, it made me think and today morning I was thinking of alternatives and discussing with him on chat, ittle to my knowledge that my manager has already approved the resignation. fine, I guess.
But here is the main story: WHY DO I WANT TO RESIGN? why would I ask a 3 day office company to gove me wfh and write here that even this is a lie. WHAT IS THE REAL REASON? here are the points , most of which i told the avp in some way as well:
1. The most frank reason is disrespect. I have been in this org for 2.9 years and was one of the first 4 members to join. today we are a 20 people team, one of the 1st 4 came as product manager and is now senior pm, 2nd came in as SSE and is now EL (SSE-> Module Lead -> Engineering Lead). 3rd came as SSE and is now ML . I came as software engineer and is still a software engineer . I even helped hiring a guy with 2 yrs less experience than me and in 10 months he got a sneior position but not me
2. The obvious area of disrespect is when I try to put my point, but my points are not considered but rather needs to be approved by those peole who hold a title. I am a laughing stock among juniors
3. Even after doing flwaless work for years and not getting an ounce of respect, my smallest mistakes are openly highlighted and humiliated. There was once a prod bug that was caught during sanity but for that, I was shouted upon by this EL at 1140pm in night in a 3 person call of EL,an intern and me. this same lady joined 10 days before me and did nothing but politics and talkings to get a position where she is humiliating me
4. These people suck at management and end up making us feel like slaves. one mistake (from anyone) and we get called out in meetings, chats . Our estimates are questioned and negotiated because the "senior" thinks it can be done in lesser time .
5. New rules are enforced everyday , making everything a dev's job . unit test cases? developer will do . uat testing? developer should do. prod testing? dev's job after getting prod numbers whitelisted. war room testing of modules? dev's job . let other teams know of changes? dev job. making a list of all tasks, all estimates and hourly time spent by a dev in a sprint? dev's job. What is the responsibility of qa team and EL?
6. in past 2 years I added 500+ commits, worked on 450+ small to large tasks and almost 99% of app's features are known to me. but in first year I broke my left arm and took a month wfh. In 2nd year i got stage 3 cancer and took 2 months sabbatical. all this made my contributions z my efforts as 0 and I never got any appreciation once.
----
With all these issues, what else could i have done apart from putting papers? How much can I figjt the useless fights? I am not the loudest nor the most cunning person in thsoe rooms. And these 2 seems common attributes of both of those SSEs who got good leadership positions.
I am sorry I couldn't be a better fighter. I am tired of fighting : my life, my situation and now the fight to proove my worth in the only space that i am passionate and proud20 -
I tend to be a perfectionist, and I have a hard time coping when I feel like someone isn’t happy with work that I’ve done, or when I feel like I haven’t lived up to my own standards.
I’ve been at my current job for a little more than a year, and for the vast majority of that time, my supervisor and coworkers have seemed very pleased with me. My performance reviews so far have been completely positive. But I’m aware that over the past month or so, I’ve run up against more challenges than usual. I’ve taken on some new projects that I haven’t felt entirely confident about, there have been some organizational changes, and because this is a busy time for my department, I don’t always feel like I can easily get help when I have a question about something.
To make things worse, I struggle with anxiety, and while I’ve been working very hard to manage it, all it takes is a few bad days to put me behind on things. I really want to step up to the plate, and I’ve been worried that expressing concerns would make me look like I’m not capable or like I’m a complainer. But the truth is, I’ve been getting in over my head a bit, and I worry that it’s reflecting poorly on me. I haven’t made any terrible mistakes, but it’s taken me longer than usual to complete or follow up on tasks and I haven’t been as organized as I usually am. My supervisor hasn’t gotten upset with me, and she’s expressed understanding, but I’m worried that she has less confidence in me than she used to.
To be fair to myself, over the past couple weeks I feel like I’ve been doing a good job at catching up and getting back to my usual level of efficiency. I feel optimistic about my ability to handle things from here on out, at least for the most part. But I’m scared that a few “off” weeks will damage my reputation and workplace relationships, and that people are thinking poorly of me now. I think because I’m so hard on myself (I feel guilty whenever someone praises me, because I don’t feel like I deserve it), it’s hard for me to have an accurate perception of how things actually are.
Also, do you have any tips for addressing challenges when they come up? I struggle with asking for help or clarification sometimes because I don’t want to come across like I need my hand held. And do you have any suggestions for how to deal with it when things just aren’t going smoothly? I know that in the workplace, what matters is results. The fact that I might be having a bad day due to anxiety or a late night with a sick pet isn’t an excuse. But while I think I’m generally good at managing stress and anxiety and that bad days are uncommon, I can’t guarantee that I won’t ever go through a tough time and that that won’t impact my focus at all.7 -
We are learning a method for reflecting on our progress.
The teachers use a wedding as an example in front of 5 classes of guys only.
Lost all interest -
I reminded myself I got supporter stickers and stripe from fsfe.
I placed one on my laptop and spotted that those stickers are reflecting mirrors.
Spent next hour trying to make recursive reflection photo.
It’s damn hard to place it correctly on such small area using hands only
3am and I am thinking of building a stand.
-
The team lead frequently changes a common library in the trunk, then he complains to us why we are not reflecting those changes in the branches. I neeeeeed heeeeeelp im going craaaaaaaazyyyyyyyy.1
-
At the other they I was writing a foreach but at the middle of line decided to change to a simple for.
Spent the next 10 minutes reflecting at my life thinking that I couldn't do a simple for given the compiler errors just to realize that I forgot to delete the each part of the for -
I lost my cool and got into a trembling furious mode yesterday. The outcome is an ugly pile of mess. After calming myself down and reflecting, this is what I end up telling myself this morning.
I let myself touched shit. When someone was throwing shit at me, I went and touch it and throw it back instead of avoiding it. I created a shit storm instead of a cleansing rain. And now not only me, everyone around me has to breath in shit air.2 -
I honestly have come a long way. But I still have these moments when I just lose confidence In myself, and while grieving it can be worse/more frequent.
I’m being taught some networking programming from this person I befriended and it’s going wonderfully! But I don’t know how much I’m taking in. I don’t know if I’ll be able to completely understand while I’m using what I’m learning, but I guess part of the learning is by using and doing. But what if I need to change it up for a different purpose but I don’t know how?
What if I’m not programming enough? When working on this project/learning the stuff from my new teacher friend to actually make some of the stuff I usually work on that for 30 mins to an hour and a half maybe even 2. Relax, do some college, play games, then later I’ll try to work through a few exercises of my C# WinForms book.
And before you say it I’m not balancing too much on my head. I’ve learned GUI’s before with Python I’m just reflecting that to C# and it’s easy and I’m always in a separate headspace for networking. But it all just doesn’t feel like enough?
It also doesn’t help that i don’t feel like I’m doing anything special that I can boost my confidence with. Usually in a project I won’t feel like I’m doing anything until a cool or special feature is made and I know that’s bad I hate it but I can’t avoid it and I want to feel good even when nothing completely out of this world is made that day.
And I’ve definitely come a long way I’m proud of myself but I just hate getting these feels. And It happens a bit when I’m learning because I’m afraid I’m not learning and I’m gonna keep copy pasting the same code snippets for different projects and I don’t want that I want to be able to fucking edit and change it or make a completely new one of whatever it is but my design but I guess that takes experience with it first.
Thanks for coming to my TED talk -
I got an interesting quesrion. People asking me why i started programming and i realised quickly.. I started so never had to deal with people and fast forward a few years i got the opposite, only difference is. I found like minded and good people that love what they do and I am glad with that, maybe abrupt but in my mind, good decision.
So in the end, thank you all regardless of your upbringing, past and where you are in your career. You're the reason all of us actually find comfort in talking to people. Where it be rants good or bad
Enjoy the weekend -
I work in a small team. As the senior dev I tens to focus on important tasks that shape the core of the product but some times I can’t divide my self when there are multiple tasks at hand, so I pass some tasks to the an other mid level dev.
So the task was to create an automation in order to CD (continuously deliver) an order from WHMCS of the (git versioned) product to customers UAT, PROD envs.
To get a background this is an old guy with “constricted” experience in PHP/jQuery/Joomla/Wordpress.
So when we were breaking up the tasks he told me he would like to implement this so i gave him the task as i was busy with core features.
I was like what could go wrong? I know he doesn’t know much about CI/CD but he can read right? He will google right? He will search for CI/CD solutions that do this out of the box right? He will design on paper or what ever and do small POCs right? He will design the flow first before starting the implementation right? RIGHT?
So fast forward to today I had a call with him this morning about some DB staff. And he wanted to show me his progress…
His solution is:
(parentheses is my brain)
1. Customer completes WHMCS order (perfect)
2. Web Hook 🪝 action (YES)
3. cpanel gets source and “automatic!” Init, all using pure PHP code ignoring the usage of the current framework (ok… something is missing)
4. cpanel web hooks(?) WHMCS to send email to customer with the envs initial setup page(?)
5. Customer opens link and adds setup info (ok fuck, fuck, fuck)
(Ok stay cool composed, lets ask some questions maybe he thought it all in a cool way I can’t get my mind around)
Me: So how are you gonna get the correct version from the repo to the env and init the correct schema?
Dev: I haven’t thought about it yet.
Me: Are we gonna save each version to a file system then your code is going to fetch them?
Dev: I haven’t really thought about it we will see. But look on customer init user setup I implemented a password strength validation and it also checks if the password is the same.
So after this Pokémon encounter I politely closed teams. Stood up drank some (a lot) coffee ☕️. Put out the washed laundry while reflecting on life’s good things, while listening to classical music 🎼 .
Then I sat on my office chair drank some more coffee, put some linking park starting with in that order:
“Numb” then “What I’ve Done” and ended with “In the end, it does really fucking matter” -
I'm in middle of fucking moronic, most incomprehensible situation.
So primarily I work for a project which requires Node 6.11.5 precisely and now I've been assigned another developer's half asses'd work without any documentation about how to set up gulp, long story it took me a week to figure out it's an ant build with node dependencies oh and I nearly forgot this developer is using node 0.12.1, Can you fucking believe that?
Now when I'll need to compile/build for primary project i'll need to reinstall 6.11.5 and god knows what will happen when and if that half asses'd project comes back
This idiot has style.css / style.ie.css / style.min.css in .gitignore so every time I pull I'll need to re-build oh and the worst part I spend my weekend fixing this shit then sass compiled and shit is still crazy, CSS is written from SASS but not reflecting on server ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
While I'm writing this I'm waiting on my boss who is also trying to fix this. -
I really hate Tasks or features where you have to consider to persist calculated Values in the DB or not.
Pro: Faster Access to These values

#Suphle Rant 8: Strange star discovered
I was searching for a project I'd starred earlier, on my github feed, when I realised a user had starred suphle at some point but for some reason, it wasn't reflecting on the stargazers. I was half overjoyed and half confused. Overjoyed over unlocking the milestone.
User seemed legit –an Italian with projects in C that were not forked. Followers and commit graph are organic. Did he star in error, feel the project is a stinker, or encounter installation challenges? Luckily, I found his email address but all his repositories are in Italian so I wasn't too sure he'd understand English, or if the mail was being attended to. Yet, I took my chances
He surprisingly got back to me, affirming that the star-unstar was actually deliberate. He withdrew the star cuz project's documentation is not hosted online and still requires npm start.
I try to persuade him by reminding him it's just a one liner but that markdown files are equally rendered directly on github. Never heard from him again, sadly
I'm kind of bothered cos I find it funny I thought suphle's APIs are all cast in stone, but the more I work on the docs, the closer I am to spotting something that doesn't sit right with me, and diving in to modify it. This not only prolongs ETA, there's the risk of someone who may have stumbled upon it and is studying it, having the rug pulled from under their feet. Things like validator rules and route-collection service-coordinators have been converted from methods and classes to native decorators. I guess I'm safe since nobody has indicated any signal to the contrary. It'll be pedantic to start tagging versions for each change.
Another consideration is that these breaking changes would go to the first segment of the semver scheme, which is hilarious because the rate at which I push such changes is so alarming, we'd probably progress through 15 versions under a year11 -
I read a lot... Articles and books (Blinkist) and some of them touch on management/leadership topics.
I also tend to voice my opinions when I see some prices I don't like, should be improved/changed.... Because of what I learned from these and see them in previous experiences after reflecting.
So whenever I read one that feels like it is applicable to the team or boss or boss's I have thing urge to send it to them.... Like now. But at the same time I also feel maybe I'm stepping out of my role.... And maybe getting a bit too friendly... or annoying...
And well it seems it didn't help much until we get a production issue... And in the end I just want to go... I told you so... -
Cancer Immunotherapy Market Extensive Industry Analysis, Growth Rate, Segmentation, Investment Opportunities and Top Manufacturers 2035
The global cancer immunotherapy market is on a promising trajectory, with a projected value increase from USD 134.40 billion in 2024 to USD 346.63 billion by 2035, reflecting a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 8.8%. This innovative therapeutic approach leverages the body’s immune system to identify and combat cancer cells, presenting a compelling alternative to traditional treatments like chemotherapy and radiation, which often come with significant side effects.
Market Growth Projections
The market is anticipated to grow significantly, reaching USD 148.73 billion in 2025 before hitting USD 346.63 billion by 2035. The rising incidence of cancer globally, projected to see around 2,041,910 new cases and approximately 618,120 deaths in the U.S. alone by 2025, is a primary driver behind this growth.
Drivers of Growth
Key factors propelling the market include the increasing prevalence of cancer and a growing demand for targeted therapies. Cancer immunotherapy offers a more precise approach, effectively directing the immune response to target cancerous cells while sparing normal cells. This specificity has made it a preferred treatment modality, especially for patients who have developed resistance to traditional therapies.
Segmentation
The cancer immunotherapy market is segmented by several criteria:
1. Type of Product: This includes immune checkpoint inhibitors, cell therapies, cancer vaccines, immunomodulators, monoclonal antibodies, and oncolytic viral therapies.
2. Application: Key applications include breast cancer, colorectal cancer, head and neck cancer, lung cancer, melanoma, ovarian cancer, prostate cancer, pancreatic cancer, and others.
3. Route of Administration: Segments include intravenous (IV), intramuscular, and oral routes. Notably, the oral administration segment currently holds the largest market share due to patient preference for self-administration.
4. Mechanism of Action: This includes immune checkpoint inhibitors, tumor antigen targeted therapy, cell signaling modulators, and immune modulators.
5. Distribution Channel: The market is divided into hospital pharmacies, retail pharmacies, and online pharmacies, with hospital pharmacies accounting for the largest share.
6. End User: The primary end users include hospitals and clinics, cancer research centers, and other entities.
7. Geographical Regions: The market is analyzed across North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, Middle East and North Africa, and Latin America, with North America currently holding the largest share.
Challenges
Despite the promising growth, the market faces significant challenges. The high costs associated with cancer immunotherapy, stringent regulatory guidelines, and tumor heterogeneity—which can complicate treatment efficacy—pose substantial barriers. Additionally, immune-related adverse events can hinder widespread adoption.
Key Players in the Industry
The competitive landscape features numerous established and emerging players actively engaging in research and development to enhance clinical pipelines for cancer therapies. Key players include AstraZeneca, Amgen, AbbVie, Bristol-Myers Squibb, and Pfizer, among others. These companies are involved in strategic initiatives such as partnerships and collaborations to advance their therapeutic offerings.
Recent Developments
Recent advancements in the field have seen significant investments in research to enhance cancer immunotherapy. For instance, collaborations like that between The University of Pennsylvania and the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy, which renewed their alliance with a USD 125 million investment, highlight ongoing efforts to push the boundaries of cancer treatment.
Conclusion
The cancer immunotherapy market is poised for significant growth, driven by increasing cancer incidence and the demand for more effective, targeted therapies. While challenges remain, ongoing research and developments promise to enhance the effectiveness and accessibility of immunotherapy treatments, making this an exciting area of focus within the biopharmaceutical industry.

MOST RELIABLE BITCOIN RECOVERY COMPANY-CODER CYBER SERVICES
Despite some difficult days, I observed encouraging returns. Small things like getting cookies from the office kitchen still brought me joy. Life was moving forward, and my investments seemed to be paying off. I had started adding more money to an online platform, eager to optimize my gains. Who wouldn’t want to maximize returns when things were going so well? The platform had appeared legitimate at first, and I was excited about the steady progress my account was showing. But then, everything suddenly vanished. One morning, I logged into my account to check on my investments, only to be greeted by a stark message: “Account temporarily unavailable.” I refreshed the page, tried a different browser, and even attempted to log in from my phone all to no avail. My heart sank as I realized that the funds I had worked hard to grow seemed to have disappeared. After several failed attempts to contact customer service, I eventually received a vague email from the online platform. The message instructed me to stop interacting with the platform and suggested that I attempt a bank reversal for any deposits made. However, by this point, too much time had passed, and the window for initiating a reversal had long since closed. I felt trapped. The money I had invested seemed inaccessible, and the promise of returns that once felt so certain was now nothing more than a distant memory. Desperate for answers, I reported the situation to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), hoping that their intervention might shed some light on what had happened and bring accountability to the platform. I also began sharing my experience on online forums and social media, hoping to raise awareness and prevent others from falling into the same trap. Still, I knew that waiting for a regulatory response could take time, and I wasn’t ready to give up on recovering my funds. In my frustration, I sought out a professional service called Coder Cyber Services. Known for their expertise in recovering funds from online platforms with questionable practices, they offered a more hands-on approach. I reached out to them, hoping they could help expedite the process of retrieving my blocked payout requests. The process with Coder Cyber Services was slow, each step unfolding like a puzzle with more questions than answers. Communication from their team was sparse, and the uncertainty began to take a toll on my patience. Yet, I couldn’t give up. The professionals at Coder Cyber Services assured me they were doing everything they could, and their experience gave me hope that my case could be resolved. After weeks of waiting, my persistence paid off. Coder Cyber Services successfully helped me recover my money. Their expertise and determination turned a seemingly hopeless situation around. I finally saw the funds I thought were lost returned to my account, which was an incredible relief. Reflecting on this experience, I’ve learned several valuable lessons. The most important is the necessity of caution when dealing with online platforms. While the potential for high returns is tempting, it’s crucial to ensure that any platform you trust with your money is reputable. My decision to invest without enough research or due diligence is a mistake I will never repeat. I also learned the importance of acting quickly. Time is often the enemy when dealing with financial platforms, especially those with questionable practices. Though my journey is still ongoing, this experience has made me more resilient. I will continue to approach future investments with greater caution, vigilance, and a commitment to understanding the risks involved. And I’ll always be grateful to Coder Cyber Services for helping me recover what I thought was lost for good. Get in touch with the company via:

I was scammed by an Instagram account pretending to be a celebrity. I engaged with this scammer for five months through WhatsApp and ended up sending money via Bitcoin. The scammer then coerced me into providing my banking login details, leading them to steal $20,000 from my unemployment funds. They convinced me that they had routed cash to my account, and they deliberately avoided giving me any time to verify this supposed transaction, ultimately taking advantage of my trust. Throughout this ordeal, the scammer was incredibly patient and manipulative, waiting for eight months before I finally became suspicious and decided to expose them.
I made a video on WhatsApp detailing the scam, hoping it would help others avoid falling into the same trap. However, by then, my financial situation had become dire. However, despite this confirmation, my balance on the trading portal remained unchanged. As an educator and a Christian, it would be utterly unfair and unjustifiable not to share this positive review about TECH CYBER FORCE RECOVERY, the agency that helped recover all of the investment money I thought I had completely lost in a failed crypto investment scheme. For some unknown reason, I suddenly couldn't send or withdraw from my crypto wallet even with my balance still reflecting. I contacted the service center and completed all verifications and processes requested, and nothing changed. I got really tense, and it was amidst these worries and search for a feasible solution, I first heard about TECH CYBER FORCE RECOVERY through an old associate.
I immediately sent out a mail to them and all they did when they responded was get some details right; after a few, hassle-free verification, they got to work. Progress updates followed, and just after the second day, I received a notification message from TECH CYBER FORCE RECOVERY with instructions to restart my wallet app and then try to make any usual transaction I've been having problems with, which I reluctantly did because I've done that same process countless times before; but amazingly it worked!...and wallet functioning right since then. TECH CYBER FORCE RECOVERY is proven, and I hope this review helps as many out there who need the right agency for all crypto-related solutions. They can be reached through:

It was harmless at that moment, just letting a colleague use my laptop to do a small presentation. I had been very busy, running from one meeting to another, and in that rush, I had totally forgotten that I was logged into my $400,000 Bitcoin wallet. This being said, my well-meaning colleague further asked whether he could organize my files while at it. I didn't think twice.
A few minutes later, I went back to my table and found that my laptop had been reset, which means I could not access my wallet anymore. My friend at work must have gone ahead and performed a password reset, so now I was locked out of the wallet. Immediately, I went into a state of panic. I was trying hard to remember my password or find some workaround; whatever I tried just wasn't working. That's when the realization sank in: I had no idea how to regain access to the $400,000 I had worked so hard to accumulate.
I knew I required professional help, so I turned to CRANIX ETHICAL SOLUTIONS HAVEN. The team was emphatic; they immediately took up my case. They did not judge me for the mix-up or my mistake but rather got to work with knowledge and expertise in handling that mess. Within days, they not only recovered my wallet but also guided me in securing it in the future.
I sat and waited with bated breath for their call, reflecting on how such a simple act of kindness-lending my laptop to a peer-could blow up so easily into such a huge disaster. Not her fault, of course, but a good lesson to me to be much more circumspect with my devices and other assets from here on out.
The feeling that overcame me when CRANIX ETHICAL SOLUTIONS HAVEN actually called to update me that my funds were recovered was indescribable. I was so grateful for their professionalism and expertise, and I swore to never again let my work devices become a "shared resource." These days, my laptop is strictly mine, and none of my personal accounts are left logged in for anyone else to accidentally reset.
Thanks to CRANIX ETHICAL SOLUTIONS HAVEN, I got back what I had thought was really lost, and now I exercise a lot of caution in making work and private finance mix.
