Why would someone hire you to build a website, constantly say that you don’t know business, never give you anything you ask for, berate you for asking questions about what they want the website to be like, “that’s your job”, all while expecting under $500? Because they’re stupid, that’s why. Oh also, they now want an app instead of a website because their generic-ass domain name was taken already. Fffffffffff

Feature creep is absolutely terrible. Every freaking time I start working on my game I’ll tell myself, “okay, I’m almost done. 90% done, just got to finish up these designs her- wait a minute, does that button look right?” *Proceeds to completely redesign the UI and add 8 more options.* etc, etc.

Point is, I need to stop adding stuff. I need a hard deadline.

I am so excited, I just got a response from Voodoo.io on publishing my mobile game. Hopefully it makes a decent amount of money!

Lazy days.

For the love of God. Please stop trying to make me download your shitty mobile app. I don’t have room, and I don’t want it. I just want to read the content that YOU SENT TO ME (looking at you, Quora). Nice way to make sure I unsubscribe and never come back. An unclosable pop up on mobile that just has a button to your mobile app while I have limited data and patience doesn’t do it for me. Fuck whoever came up with THAT brilliant decision.

WHO ELSE IS EXCITED FOR THE NEW RAZER BLADE?!

What do you guys think about coinhive vs ads? Opt-in coinhive? Non-intrusive ads on the side? Which would you prefer?

I stay up very late. It’s gotten later and later as life goes on. I’m tired of being tired. It’s so exhausting.

Being bad at something that you want to be good at is the most fucking annoying thing I've ever experienced. Fuck.

Just spent over 5 hours trying to figure out Microsoft’s OneDrive REST api. Basically my first time trying to do POSTs n’ stuff. I got very very close, but the server kept throwing 400 error codes. Eventually I had to give up and ask Stack Overflow. Going to bed now at 2:20am. No worse feeling then not being able to solve a problem you’re dedicated on solving. :/

I lost all my data from a terrible accident. By using recovery software over the course of a week (because the computer I had to use to recover it was less than adequate), I managed to recover most data. Upon restoring the data to the SSD, there was numerous corruption issues, strange glitches, etc. I tried running many system recovery tools, repairing the registry, disk check, everything. Today, I could not install Visual Studio Community updates because... it couldn't. It just popped up a blank window and that's it. I tried everything. Eventually, that combined with every other issue I've had, apps not working because of corrupt files and having to reinstall basically everything I've tried to use anyway, I decided to do a clean install.

So I'm waiting for many many many installers, right now. Nanite was only the tip of the ice berg. I guess what I'm trying to say is...

Dropped my phone on tile and the screen shattered. The best part? I dropped it flat on its back.

Is it just me or has the quality of AAA games declined substantially? Feels like every “good” game nowadays is a remake of another one.

It continually never ceases to amaze me how many people ask me a question without doing the proper research beforehand. For instance, "How far is the Earth from Jupiter?" How am I supposed to know that? The only thing I'm going to do is Google it and then tell you anyway. Stop asking me stupid questions that you can easily search yourself!

I accidentally wiped my entire drive because I fed my program the string: C:/Program Files/ProgramName/program.exe Without quotation marks and my program interpreted the space as a new command. It tried to delete C:/Program, and then the parent directory, C:/. I actually posted a “rant” on here asking how to recover data if you want to dig through my history.

*Edit* Actually, no, I must have deleted the rant asking about data recovery. My bad.
