Let me preface this by saying I'm not a designer.
While I can make individual bits of a site look good, and I'm actually pretty skilled with CSS/Sass, overall design completely escapes me. I can't come up with good designs, nor do I really understand *why* good designs are good. It's just not something I can do, which feels really weird to say. but it's true.
So, when I made the Surfboard site (that's the project's internal name), I hacked everything together and focused on the functionality, and later did a branding and responsive pass. I managed to make the site look quite nice, and made it scale well across sizes/devices despite being completely new to responsiveness. (I'm proud, okay? deal.)
After lots of me asking (in response to people loudly complaining that the UI doesn't have X feature, scale properly on Y device, and doesn't look as good as Z site), the company finally reached out to its UI contractor who does their design work. After a week or two, he sent a few mockups.
The mockups consisted of my existing design with a darker background, much better buttons, several different header bars (a different color) with different logo/text placements, and several restyled steppers. He also removed a couple of drop shadows and made some very minor styling changes (bold text, some copy edits). Oh, he also changed the branding colors. Nothing else changed. It's basically the same exact site but a few things look a little better. and the branding is different.
My intermediary with the designer asked for "any feedback before finalizing the designs" -- which I thought odd because he sent mocks for two out of the ten pages (nine plus a 404 page). (Nevermind most of the mocks showed controls from the wrong page...).
So, I typed up a full page of feedback. Much of it was asking for specifics such as responsive sizing on the new header layout, how the new button layout would work for different button counts, asking for the multitude of missing pages/components, asking why the new colors don't match the rest of our branding, etc. I also added a personal nitpick about flat-looking controls because I fucking hate them. Everything I wrote was very friendly and professional.
... His response was full of gems. Let me share a few.
1. "Everything about the current onboarding site looks like a complete after-thought." (After submitting a design basically identical to mine! gg!)
2. "Yes [the colors match our current branding]." (No. They don't. I checked. The dark grey is different, the medium grey is different, the silver is different, the light blue is different. He even changed the goddamn color of the goddamn LOGO for fuck's sake! How the fuck is that "matching"?!)
3. "Appreciate the feedback [re: overlapping colored boxes, aka 'flat'], design is certainly subjective. However, this is the direction we are going." (yet it differs from the rest of our already-redesigned sites you're basing this off. and it's ugly as shit. gg again :/)
4. "Just looked at the 404 page. It looks pretty bad, and reflects very poorly on the [brand name] brand. Definitely will make a change here!" (Hey! I love that thing. It's a tilted, dotted outline of a missing [brand product] entirely drawn with CSS. It has a light gray "???" underlay and some 404 text inside. Everyone I showed it to, coworkers and otherwise, loved it. "Looks pretty bad". fuck you.)
I know I shouldn't judge someone so quickly, but what the fuck. This guy reminds me of one of those pompous artists/actors who's better than everyone and who can never be wrong, even while they're contradicting themselves.
just.

Hello world, I'm a 20 year-old CS student and I've been following you all from the shadows for a year now. I finally decided to join you, so here I am! I've got to say that I love this app and the community, so I'm happy to be part of it now. I'm currently on holidays, but I can't wait to share some good ol' rants once the uni starts again!

Just before you, my fellow system programmer, scroll past this, let me say this:
🍬 The web is actiually simple. 🍬
Both HTML and CSS is declarative. It's all easy when you understand the concepts, learn how to be idiomatic and quit trying to do that imperative bullshit in languages that aren't imperative.
HTML is simple. You know the boilerplate: doctype, head, body, that's all. Just mark it up and do NOT look at it before you end, mark it up as it were article or something. The appearance is up to css.
CSS is simple. You may even forget bem or rscss, you're already a skilled software developer. Use common sense and your code-splitting and naming skills you gained reading The Code Complete or doing software development for years.
Forget mockups. Forget absolute positioning, forget setting width and height in pixels. Go to awwwards, find some inspiration. Draw some buttons and fields on paper with your good old pencil. Then go and write some css. Feel free to steal some shadows and transitions from codepen.
Read about 8-pixel grid system. Let every element push away from others by setting something like margin: 16px; and whoops! You've just got fully responsive and got great vertical rhythm without even using media queries!
Oh my god, do NEVER set width and height explicitly! Type something like button { width: 120px; } and bang! The entire web page is broken. Quit that shit. Let it resize as it should. It will resize itself to fit its contents.
HTML is by default ready for your template engine. That's how you receive data from server — as server-side rendered, plain old HTML page. On the other hand, the form element is the most axiomatic and simple way to send the data to server. That's how you send it — as plain old GET or POST that every webserver can handle.
All of there are true:
1. It's easy to get great 100% responsiveness without media queries.
2. It's easy to align items in row, it's just one line of css. Maybe two, if you still want elements to wrap, but want to use flexbox:
.parent {
display: flex;
flex-wrap: wrap;
}
3. HTML and CSS are fast by default.
4. You don't need mockups to achieve great visual experience. Mockups is imperative, web is declarative.
5. You may not even need JavaScript to make great website.
Go on, ask me a question about web! I'll ready to answer everything.21 -
After working for about 3 years of my life I've established the following;
Work is mostly stupid people praising other stupid people about their stupid work, while clever people remain in the shadows. Will this be true for the rest of my career or am I just working at a company with a bad culture?5 -
I created website for a client, with sleek material design.
He told me that the website was too flat and needed more shadows and gradients to make it more modern and 3D.8 -
I've been away, lurking at the shadows (aka too lazy to actually log in) but a post from a new member intrigued me; this is dedicated to @devAstated . It is erratic, and VERY boring.
When I resigned from the Navy, I got a flood of questions from EVERY direction, from the lower rank personnel and the higher ups (for some reason, the higher-ups were very interested on what the resignation procedure was...). A very common question was, of course, why I resigned. This requires a bit of explaining (I'll be quick, I promise):
In my country, being in the Navy (or any public sector) means you have a VERY stable job position; you can't be fired unless you do a colossal fuck-up. Reduced to non-existent productivity? No problem. This was one of the reasons for my resignation, actually.
However, this is also used as a deterrent to keep you in, this fear of lack of stability and certainty. And this is the reason why so many asked me why I left, and what was I going to do, how was I going to be sure about my job security.
I have a simple system. It can be abused, but if you are careful, it may do you and your sanity good.
It all begins with your worth, as an employee (I assume you want to go this way, for now). Your worth is determined by the supply of your produced work, versus the demand for it. I work as a network and security engineer. While network engineers are somewhat more common, security engineers are kind of a rarity, and the "network AND security engineer" thing combined those two paths. This makes the supply of my work (network and security work from the same employee) quite limited, but the demand, to my surprise, is actually high.
Of course, this is not something easy to achieve, to be in the superior bargaining position - usually it requires great effort and many, many sleepless nights. Anyway....
Finding a field that has more demand than there is supply is just one part of the equation. You must also keep up with everything (especially with the tech industry, that changes with every second). The same rules apply when deciding on how to develop your skills: develop skills that are in short supply, but high demand. Usually, such skills tend to be very difficult to learn and master, hence the short supply.
You probably got asleep by now.... WAKE UP THIS IS IMPORTANT!
Now, to job security: if you produce, say, 1000$ of work, then know this:
YOU WILL BE PAID LESS THAN THAT. That is how the company makes profit. However, to maximize YOUR profit, and to have a measure of job security, you have to make sure that the value of your produced work is high. This is done by:
- Producing more work by working harder (hard method)
- Producing more work by working smarter (smart method)
- Making your work more valuable by acquiring high demand - low supply skills (economics method)
The hard method is the simplest, but also the most precarious - I'd advise the other two. Now, if you manage to produce, say, 3000$ worth of work, you can demand for 2000$ (numbers are random).
And here is the thing: any serious company wants employees that produce much more than they cost. The company will strive to pay them with as low a salary as it can get away with - after all, a company seeks to maximize its profit. However, if you have high demand - low supply skills, which means that you are more expensive to be replaced than you are to be paid, then guess what? You have unlocked god mode: the company needs you more than you need the company. Don't get me wrong: this is not an excuse to be unprofessional or unreasonable. However, you can look your boss in the eye. Believe me, most people out there can't.
Even if your company fails, an employee with valuable skills that brings profit tends to be snatched very quickly. If a company fires profitable employees, unless it hires more profitable employees to replace them, it has entered the spiral of death and will go bankrupt with mathematical certainty. Also, said fired employees tend to be absorbed quickly; after all, they bring profit, and companies are all about making the most profit.
It was a long post, and somewhat incoherent - the coffee buzz is almost gone, and the coffee crash is almost upon me. I'd like to hear the insight of the veterans; I estimate that it will be beneficial for the people that start out in this industry.2 -
1. Aim is to complete work as soon as possible and not worrying about good coding practices.
2. Senior Engineers take credits for everything that Junior Engineers work on. And that Junior Engineers are just shadows
3. Credits? Team lead and senior engineers take. Complains/issues/delay in product delivery? Junior Engineers are blamed
4. Testing? Test cases? What are they? Why do we need them? That's what my team lead asked.
5. Take work without even knowing what it is or what is to be done and then just keep carry forwarding it.
6. Junior engineer dares to point out any mistake, he/she is very rude and is taunted forever
And many more.....5 -

Software engineering gets more diverse every year with problems ranging from faking 3d shadows on 2d browsers to accurately mimicking chemical bonds on the electron level.
I guess we primarily will get advanced tools, to make more complex problems easier to tackle. Just compare manual punch card piercing pliers to the JetBrains tool chain.
Also I believe that the roles that developers embody will get even more diverse, people will have way more specific functions in their ecosystem.5 -

Depression and anxiety is a major challenge in my work life.
I could remember vividly when I was at my last job, any time I felt depressed I'll call for sick leave. It was hard for me to pinpoint the cause of my depression because even while on most sick leave I still felt depressed.
I blamed it on my job, blamed it on my family, on my social circle, on my friends, on my lifestyle, on almost everything. At some point it all felt like it was me versus the world, a fight I could never win.
Thoughts came in... Maybe it's because John is now married with two kids, or because Stella is now the new manager, or that David just bought a new Ross Royce and I'm still riding an ice-cream truck, or its because Steve is always on vacation and PM always complaining about uncompleted task with no acknowledgement for the 2 months task finished in a week, or because Boss is always calling for stupid meetings. Different thoughts in my head... Jealousy, Envy, Disappointment, Tiredness, Confusion, all combined at once.
But I did found a cure for my anxiety and depressed nature...
During lunch hours I visit a beach close to where I work, it's called "Tarkwa bay". I'll sit at the rock formations and glare at the shadows of the rising sun, listen to the sound of rumbling waters and passive the complete overview of nature. The feeling I get there is really calming, It occupies my head with neutral thoughts and a love for nature. 🤗
I truly experienced an improvement overall and it's been a while I felt depressed since I started such a routine.
Nature is really a gift.1 -

At work, my closest relation is with the DBA. Dude is a genius when it comes to proper database management as well as having a very high level of understanding concerning server administration, how he got that good at that I have no clue, he just says that he likes to fuck around with servers, Linux in particular although he also knows a lot about Windows servers.
Thing is, the dude used to work as a dev way back when VB pre VB.NET was all the rage and has been generating different small tools for his team of analysts(I used to be a part of his team) to use with only him maintaining them. He mentioned how he did not like how Microsoft just said fk u to VB6 developers, but that he was happy as long as he could use VB. He relearned how to do most of the GUI stuff he was used to do with VB6 into VB.NEt and all was good with the world. I have seen his code, proper OOP practices and architectural decisions, etc etc. Nothing to complain about his code, seems easy enough to extend, properly documented as well.
Then he got with me in order to figure out how to breach the gap between building GUI applications into web form, so that we could just host those apps in one of our servers and his users go from there, boy was he not prepared to see the amount of fuckery that we do in the web development world. Last time my dude touched web development there was still Classic ASP with JScript and VBScript(we actually had the same employer at one point in the past in which I had to deal with said technology, not bad, but definitely not something I recommend for the current state of web development) and decided that the closest thing to what he was used was either PHP(which he did not enjoy, no problem with that really, he just didn't click with the language) and WebForms using VB.NET, which he also did not like on account of them basically being on support mode since Microsoft is really pushing for people to adopt dotnet core.
After came ASP.NET with MVC, now, he did like it, but still had that lil bug in his head that told him that sticking to core was probably a better idea since he was just starting, why not start with the newest and greatest? Then in hit(both of us actually) that to this day Microsoft still not has command line templates for building web applications in .net core using VB.NET. I thought it was weird, so I decided to look into. Turns out, that without using Razor, you can actually build Web APIs with VB.NET just fine if you just convert a C# template into VB.NET, the process was...err....tricky, and not something we would want to do for other projects, with that in we decided to look into Microsoft's reasons to not have VB.NET. We discovered how Microsoft is not keeping the same language features between both languages, having crown C# as the language of choice for everything Microsoft, to this point, it seems that Microsoft was much more focused in developing features for the excellent F# way more than it ever had for VB.NET at this point and that it was not a major strategy for them to adapt most of the .net core functionality inside of VB, we found articles when the very same Microsoft team stated of how they will be slowly adding the required support for VB and that on version 5 we would definitely have proper support for VB.NET ALTHOUGH they will not be adding any new development into the language.
Past experience with Microsoft seems to point at them getting more and more ready to completely drop the language, it does not matter how many people use it, they would still kill it :P I personally would rather keep it, or open source the language's features so that people can keep adding support to it(if they can of course) because of its historical significance rather than them just completely dropping the language. I prefer using C#, and most of my .net core applications use C#, its very similar to Java on a lot of things(although very much different in others) and I am fine with it being the main language. I just think that it sucks to leave such a large developer pool in the shadows with their preferred tool of choice and force them to use something else just like that.
My boy is currently looking at how I developed a sample api with validation, user management, mediatR and a custom project structure as well as a client side application using React and typescript swappable with another one built using Angular(i wanted to test the differences to see which one I prefer, React with Typescript is beautiful, would not want to use it without it) and he is hating every minute of it on account of how complex frontend development has become :V
Just wanted to vent a little about a non bothersome situation.6 -
My NDA prevents me of revealing a lot but here we go...
Hi,
during a 2 year hiatus after High School I decided to study CS. Coming from a third world country with no prospect of getting a nice job without breaking my back or getting spit on by overconfident CS geeks who now actually make a living wage there, I decided to study abroad.
I immediately realized what I have been missing... the culture, the people, the happenings,... I have been starved of LIFE
Anyways, I got the language pretty much down, uni is pretty hard but doable and I got the unthinkable... A JOB. I am currently a working student for a year at a multimillion dollar global conglomerate, doing what some may think of as scripting/data tinkering. I get payed more than both my parents combined, which is why they don't know anything... 😂 (yet, gotta ease em into it).
Now I have gotten my contract extended, which shows that I am doing a decent job there, the boss is firm but chill, coworkers are helpful and resourceful.
But what really grinds my gears is that I am mashing code together whilst googling my brain out, but I am not gaining any skill...
Now comes my grievance, the bane of my existence, the evil Morty to my Morty,... GitHub.
In this professional surrounding, where I got handed a $2,5k notebook and a overly huge paycheck, I never use Git (because we have a proprietary, internal, and very transparent alternative (transparent for the higher ups 😬 ))
I always wanted to contribute on GitHub, but I get very intimidated by the projects there and their scopes, people are waaay too knowledgeable in comparison to me and I will most certainly screw something up and embarrass myself. Since I am very self-conscious and awkward I would most probably just delete my profile there and lurk in the shadows again.
I need help, not only for my mental health, but also to expand my skillset and improve myself, since skill is the only thing I can still acquire.
Does anyone know where I should start as a overglorified python script-kiddy who still thinks 1337 is cool and mr Robot is a decent show?
Thanks,
@rn11 -
I don't mind Apple marketing themselves as these revolutionary thinkers and innovators, because I figured most people see behind the marketing but appreciate Apple for what it is. It's a big company that makes well built products, that are efficient and give good support to those products.
But I'm sick to death of tech journalists talking about how every new feature is the death of Android. They have to be kidding themselves if they think what Apple's doing is innovating. Samsung's been designing screens for the bezelless market for a LONG time, and their technology in that is incredibly advanced (it's why if you use their iPhone x you'll be looking at a screen from Samsung!)
They finally adopted wireless charging and pretended it was brand new, but I remember when they came out with the Apple watch, marketing it like they'd broken ground when Android Wear watches had been out for a year!
I don't want people to think I hate Apple, I own a few of their products. I think they're remarkably invested in user privacy; homekit imo is one of the most forward thinking implementations of smart home technology that I've seen, and the new processor in the iPhone x is a Mammoth powerhouse. So, I'm not necessarily saying anything about that, but what I am saying is that they're iñcredible at marketing, but fanboys but are not self-aware can enough to recognize when the Designed-by-Apple hype over shadows the actual objectivity or the situation. There are articles already talking about Apple's wireless charging.
TL;DR I swear to god if an apple fanboy comes at me saying the bezelless design was Apple's innovation, I'm going to snap. I appreciate what Apple does well, but unfortunately people can't appreciate a product without needing to identify with it.6 -

and they didn't even log in there , only once.. to create the account 😐

A wild project appears!
The deadline is set in two months.
It's a 3D environment interactive app with some oil drilling models and other stuff, for a stand on a show. It needs to look nice, but The Company we're working for needs to figure out where the fuck their product is located on those machines. Think tiny pipes, O-rings etc.
I prepare a build in the first couple of days for The Company to figure shit out.
Management holds the build back because:
> the ocean waves are going the other way
> the underwater area doesn't look so nice
> the antialiasing could be better
> one pipe is 5cm off center
> the sky is not blue enough
> the drillship propellers are pointed the wrong way
> one icon is too far to the right
> the shadows could use some work
> there are shadows on the seabed
> some flickering on ambient occlusion
> it loads too slow
> one random object is flipped on it's Z axis
> it's too green
> camera locks up if you move about 2km out of the range
> the name of the build should represent the date of the build
> the name of the build SHOULDN'T be anything else than just a simple three-word name, no dates because their environment doesn't allow apps that are not allowed (by name) by admin
> lots more random things that won't prevent them from using the app
I'm only a month late, but it's good progress. In about a week I hope we can get some feedback if we can use those models at all and what to showcase.
Then I can work on the basic functionality. And then it's a simple case of time travel to meet the deadline.2 -

So..there is 2 of us working on a Wordpress site, my job is front-end and make it look nice, the other persons job is to do some backend development(dont ask me what and why, I have no idea). Basically, I was waiting for the other person to finish his part so I can do front end development. I was expecting it to be just a theme, and then I fix it, add new stuff, etc etc, like usually..but the horror I saw, THE FUCKING "BACKEND" PERSON HAS ACTUALLY MADE A FUCKING THEME EVEN THOUGH IT IS MY FUCKING JOB. Now dont get me wrong, I wouldnt mind if I did almost zero work and got paid, but..THE FUCKING THEME WAS UGLY AS A TWO HEADED DICK SMOKING A FUCKING CIGARETTE. There was STRONG RED FUCKING EVERYWHERE, padding between posts was basically -20px. Well ok, I could have just started making a new theme, but there was already some stuff in this one we needed so I went it it and tried to make it look nice. And trust me, it is great now, great colors, fonts, shadows, button animations, everything, even looks great on mobile.
I started making some changes to the header, and I noticed that post title changes also..hmm wonder why..So I inspect element and what do I see, TAG OF THE FUCKING POST TITLE IS <HEADER>???? WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK, IF YOU TRIED TO DO SOME FRONT END, AND YOU SAY YOU KNOW SOME, WHY DO FUCKING FUCK WOULD YOU DO THAT???????? WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU DO MY JOB IF YOU SUCK AT IT??? DONT DO MY FUCKING JOB, I SUCK AT "BACKEND" AND I DONT FUCKING DEAL WITH DATABASES OR TRY TO MAKE THEM FOR YOU!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARHHHHHHHH FUCK -

I NEED A HACKER TO RECOVER MY STOLEN BITCOIN BACK HIRE ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST
I couldn't help but feel grateful for the role that ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST had played in my success. Without their help, I might have given up on cryptocurrency investment altogether. My journey began in a time when Bitcoin was surging, and I found myself caught up in the excitement. I invested a significant portion of my savings, driven by the allure of quick riches. Yet, not long after, the market crashed. I watched helplessly as my investments dwindled to a fraction of their value. Panic set in. I scoured forums and watched endless videos, but the more I learned, the more confused I became. Every missed opportunity weighed heavily on my shoulders. Just when I thought all hope was lost, I stumbled upon ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST. Their website was sleek and inviting, promising to help investors like me navigate the tumultuous waters of cryptocurrency. Skeptical but desperate, I decided to give it a chance. The first conversation I had with one of their experts was a breath of fresh air. They spoke with an infectious enthusiasm and a depth of knowledge that reassured me I was in the right hands. ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST dissected my financial situation and the decisions I had made. They transformed my fears into actionable insights. Instead of disappearing into the shadows of defeat, they showed me how to harness the chaos of the market. It wasn't just about recouping my losses; it was about strategizing for the future. With their guidance, I learned to analyze market trends, understand risk management, and spot emerging opportunities. I dove deeper into blockchain technology, and I even picked up coding to better grasp the systems behind the currencies I was investing in. They provided tools and resources I had never considered before, turning me from a mere investor into an informed participant in the crypto space. As I watched the market begin to stabilize, I made calculated moves that surprised even me. What began as a recovery plan morphed into a thriving portfolio. I diversified my investments, explored altcoins, and engaged with communities of like-minded enthusiasts. Each small victory built my confidence, and soon I was easily navigating trades that once seemed daunting. The turning point came when a new cryptocurrency project emerged on the scene, promising revolutionary applications for smart contracts. Armed with the knowledge from ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST, I recognized its potential before it exploded in popularity. I seized the moment and invested strategically, leading to returns that far exceeded my previous losses. In the quiet evenings, while watching the markets fluctuate, I often reflected on how far I had come. ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST had not only restored my confidence but also equipped me with knowledge that transformed my life. I was no longer just a victim of a crash but a proactive player in an ever-evolving digital landscape. Wait no more, call: for help.121 -
I fucking hate Figma.
It's primary use case is designing web applications, yet all of its naming conventions are based on SVG.
So you have to fight with designers trying to shoehorn SVG naming conventions into design tokens.
"Stroke" is border. Every time I see this I feel like I'm having a stroke.
"Drop-shadow" is box-shadow. This one really pisses me off because the properties you set for drop shadows are not valid drop shadow filters unless by some miracle the designer didn't discover the spread property. I suppose this doesn't matter because 99% of the time the code will apply a box-shadow anyway.
"Effects". FFS.

I'm stuck.
Quitting smoking/scrolling/youtube/other unhealthy coping mechanisms, taking my prescriptions and exercising every day made my mind free — now it's unobstructed, clear and not hindered in any way.
The problem is, without constant coping, my memory turned into a minefield. I can't think freely, as I constantly stumble upon trauma after trauma that make my heart physically hurt.
With clear mind, I now clearly see what used to lurk in shadows, and I'm terrified of it. I won't go back to smoking and watching youtube ten hours a day.
What should I do?12 -

Their work, detailed on their official website GrayHat Hacks Blog, helps clients find closure by revealing the truth, though it comes with ethical and legal considerations.
GrayHat Hacks Contractor specializes in digital investigations, with a focus on services like "Spying on Cheating Spouses." This involves hacking into social media accounts, emails, and other digital platforms to retrieve evidence of infidelity. Based in Charleston, SC, their team combines technical expertise with discretion, ensuring clients receive undeniable proof without alerting the target. While their website also lists cyber security services like cryptocurrency recovery and credit score repair, their infidelity investigations stand out for their impact on clients’ lives.
The process is both efficient and discreet. Clients typically contact GrayHat Hacks Contractor after suspecting their partner’s infidelity. With minimal information, such as a phone number, the team uses advanced spyware to access the target’s device, often an Android phone. Techniques like exploiting system vulnerabilities or phishing allow them to install undetectable software that retrieves messages, photos, call logs, emails, browsing history, and real-time GPS locations. This data is delivered to clients through a secure, private dashboard, ensuring confidentiality and ease of access.
Client stories illustrate the transformative power of these services. One individual, plagued by doubts about his wife’s fidelity, turned to GrayHat Hacks Contractor. Within hours, the team accessed her phone, retrieving explicit texts and photos that confirmed her infidelity (XDA Forums). Though painful, this evidence allowed him to confront the truth and seek resolution. Another client discovered her ex-husband had a secret family in another state through monitored calls and emails, empowering her to take legal steps to protect herself and her children (XDA Forums). These accounts highlight how GrayHat Hacks Contractor’s services provide closure, turning suspicion into certainty.
The efficiency of their process is a key strength. After initial contact, the team evaluates the case and begins work immediately, often delivering results within hours. Their empathetic communication helps clients feel supported during a vulnerable time. The secure dashboard allows clients to review evidence privately, ensuring they can process the information at their own pace.
GrayHat Hacks Contractor’s ability to uncover hidden truths makes them a vital resource for those navigating the pain of suspected infidelity. Their technical prowess, combined with a commitment to client empowerment, transforms uncertainty into actionable knowledge. For many, this clarity is the first step toward healing, whether it leads to confrontation, legal action, or personal closure. By leveraging cutting-edge technology, GrayHat Hacks Contractor stands as a leader in digital truth-seeking, offering hope to those lost in the shadows of doubt.9 -
My biggest regret is excessive, ignorant use of the `Shadows` keyword in a big vb.net app. That's not how you do inheritance.
It's been almost 10 years, and I still cringe every time I think about it.2 -
"The Perils and Triumphs of Debugging: A Developer's Odyssey"
You know you're in for an adventurous coding session when you decide to dive headfirst into debugging. It's like setting sail on the tumultuous seas of code, not quite sure if you'll end up on the shores of success or stranded on the island of endless errors.
As a developer, I often find myself in this perilous predicament, armed with my trusty text editor and a cup of coffee, ready to conquer the bugs lurking in the shadows. The first line of code looks innocent enough, but little did I know that it was the calm before the storm.
The journey begins with that one cryptic error message that might as well be written in an ancient, forgotten language. It's a puzzle, a riddle, and a test of patience all rolled into one. You read it, re-read it, and then call over your colleague, hoping they possess the magical incantation to decipher it. Alas, they're just as clueless.
With each debugging attempt, you explore uncharted territories of your codebase, and every line feels like a step into the abyss. You question your life choices and wonder why you didn't become a chef instead. But then, as you unravel one issue, two more pop up like hydra heads. The sense of despair is palpable.
But, my fellow developers, there's a silver lining in this chaotic journey. The moment when you finally squash that bug is an unparalleled triumph. It's the victory music after a challenging boss fight, the "Eureka!" moment that echoes through the office, and the affirmation that, yes, you can tame this unruly beast we call code.
So, the next time you find yourself knee-deep in debugging hell, remember that you're not alone. We've all been there, and we've all emerged stronger, wiser, and maybe just a little crazier. Debugging is our odyssey, and every error is a dragon to be slain. Embrace the chaos, and may your code be ever bug-free!1 -
Would you rather:
A) Take a test consisting on Data Structures and Algorithms in C or C++ or heck even Java
B) Turn in as a final exam a screenshot of you completing Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
I had an easier time passing Data Structures and algos when I was studying, even with a high grade vs the amount of ass whooping I got myself handed on that game the first playthrough (now it is easier, but still)12 -

!!Lyrics
Really a random post but related to my personal dev-life so maybe it’s at least arguable if it belongs here.
This is one of my all time favorite songs, I can identify myself with it (although I’m reinterpreting some parts).
Back in Highschool I had girlfriends, I had time, I had my entourage, everything except money. All my dad wanted me to become was a rich fucking millionaire. Failure was never accepted, no matter what it was about and everything could always have been done better.
It was pretty much a military childhood. I already loved programming back then but only as a hobby, kinda.
I really wanted to make good money so I started a dev career (with makes gooooood money where I came from). The more I invested in my career, and that was a lot, I more and more lost the understanding of what’s really important, just pursued my goal of being the best fucking dev out there and start my own company in the next 10 years.
Well.. 10 years are over now, I’m still an engineer and I lost everything I had before I started this. Especially friends and relations to women (which I’m not even able to connect to anymore).
In this lyric, the blackbird and raven are the career that just ate me alive. Hope that makes any sense to some of you?..
Anyway, here the lyrics if you wanna read it:
—————————————-
Sons of Anarchy
Come join the murder - white buffalo
There's a blackbird perched outside my window
I hear him calling
I hear him sing
He burns me with his eyes of gold to embers
He sees all my sins
He reads my soul
One day that bird, he spoke to me
Like Martin Luther
Like Pericles
Come join the murder
Come fly with black
We'll give you freedom
From the human trap
Come join the murder
Soar on my wings
You'll touch the hand of God
And he'll make you king
And he'll make you king
On a blanket made of woven shadows
Flew up to heaven
On a raven's glide
His angels they turn my wings to wax now
I fell like judas, grace denied
On that day that he lied to me
Like Martin Luther
Like Pericles
Come join the murder
Come fly with black
We'll give you freedom
From the human trap
Come join the murder
Soar on my wings
You'll touch the hand of God
And he'll make you king
And he'll make you king
I walk among the children of my fathers
The broken wings, betrayal's cost
They call to me but never touch my heart, now
I am too far
I'm too lost
All I can hear is what he spoke to me
Like Martin Luther
Like Pericles
Come join the murder
Come fly with black
We'll give you freedom
From the human trap
Come join the murder
Soar on my wings
You'll touch the hand of God
And he'll make you king
And he'll make you king
So now I curse that raven's fire
You made me hate, you made me burn
He laughed aloud as he flew from eden
You always knew, you never learn
The crow no longer sings to me
Like Martin Luther
Or Pericles
Come join the murder
Come fly with black
We'll give you freedom
From the human trap
Come join the murder
Soar on my wings
You'll touch the hand of God
And he'll make you king
And he'll make you king
Come join the murder
Come fly with black
We'll give you freedom
From the human trap
Come join the murder
Soar on my wings
You'll touch the hand of God
And he'll make you king
And he'll make you king3 -
Once upon a time I offhandedly suggested a few beautiful things that were constructed
People who were taking responsibility for the ideas who do not understand delight simple Innocent delight and a desire to see what I created before had some miniatures cheaply constructed
The desire is for things that endure in memory
All they wanted was to mechanically and immediately work on something else like it was some kind of souless side show
All I wanted was a few measly days of rest and to look over the small shadows of my ideas
This is why 99% of all new ideas suck2 -

Building Fortresses, not Firewalls: Ethical Hacking Meets Software Development
In the digital age, security is no longer an afterthought; it's the bedrock upon which our online world rests. Yet, traditional security measures often resemble fortresses – imposing, but vulnerable to unseen cracks and tunnels. To truly safeguard our systems, we need to think like the enemy, like the nimble figures scaling those walls: ethical hackers.
Enter the exciting realm of DevSecOps, where ethical hacking practices are woven into the very fabric of the software development lifecycle (SDLC). This proactive approach is akin to building castles with security in mind, each brick meticulously laid to withstand even the most cunning siege.
Why Ethical Hacking in SDLC?
Imagine developing a critical piece of software, only to discover a gaping security hole after launch. The damage could be catastrophic, exposing sensitive data and eroding trust. Ethical hacking flips this script. By integrating penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and threat modeling throughout the SDLC, we proactively hunt for weaknesses before they can be exploited.
Think of it as a friendly sparring match, where the ethical hacker throws their best punches to expose vulnerabilities, allowing the development team to fortify the software's defenses. This constant testing and refining leads to robust, secure systems that can withstand real-world attacks.
Benefits of DevSecOps:
1. Reduced Costs and Risks: Early detection and patching of vulnerabilities are far cheaper than dealing with a full-blown data breach.
2. Improved Software Quality: Security becomes an inherent part of the development process, leading to more reliable and trustworthy software.
3. Enhanced Brand Reputation: Demonstrating a proactive approach to security builds trust with customers and stakeholders.
Putting it into Practice:
Integrating ethical hacking into the SDLC requires a cultural shift. Developers, security professionals, and testers need to work together seamlessly, sharing knowledge and fostering a collaborative environment. Here are some key practices:
1. Threat Modeling: Identify potential threats and attack vectors early in the development process.
2. Static and Dynamic Code Analysis: Use automated tools to detect vulnerabilities in code.
3. Penetration Testing: Simulate real-world attacks to uncover hidden weaknesses.
4. Security Awareness Training: Educate developers and other stakeholders about security best practices.
Tools of the Trade:
A plethora of tools empowers ethical hackers and security professionals in their quest for a more secure digital world. Some popular options include:
1. Kali Linux: A distribution packed with security tools for penetration testing.
2. Burp Suite: A web application security testing platform.
3. Metasploit: A framework for developing and executing exploit code.
4. Wireshark: A network traffic analyzer for identifying suspicious activity.
The Future of Security:
As technology evolves, so too must our security practices. DevSecOps, with its embrace of ethical hacking, is at the forefront of this evolution. By building security into the very fabric of software development, we can create a safer, more resilient digital world for everyone.
Remember, in the ongoing battle against cyber threats, ethical hackers are not the enemy; they are our allies, the architects of digital fortresses that stand strong against the shadows. So, let's embrace DevSecOps, sharpen our ethical hacking skills, and build a future where security is not just an afterthought, but a fundamental principle.
I encourage you to explore the world of DevSecOps and ethical hacking. Whether you're a seasoned developer or just starting your journey, there's always more to learn and contribute. Together, we can build a more secure digital future, one line of code and one vulnerability patch at a time.

Months earlier, I’d sunk $156,000 into what I thought was a golden opportunity, an online cryptocurrency investment promising sky-high returns. The website was sleek, the testimonials glowing, and the numbers kept climbing. But when I tried to withdraw my profits, the platform froze. Emails went unanswered, support chats died, and my “investment” vanished into the digital ether. I’d been scammed, and the sting of it burned deep.Desperate, I stumbled across Alpha Spy Nest while scouring the web for help. Their site/reviews didn’t promise miracles, just results, specialists in tracking down lost funds from online scams. Skeptical but out of options, I reached out. The process started with a simple form: I detailed the scam, uploaded screenshots of transactions, and shared the wallet addresses I’d sent my crypto to. Within hours, they confirmed they’d take my case. What followed was like watching a high-stakes chess game unfold, though I only saw the moves, not the players. Alpha Spy Nest dove into the blockchain, tracing my funds through a maze of wallets designed to obscure their path. They explained how scammers often use mixers to launder crypto, but certain patterns like timing and wallet clustering, could still betray them. I didn’t understand half of it, but their confidence kept me hopeful. Hours later, they updated me: my money had landed in an exchange account tied to the scam network. They’d identified it through a mix of on-chain analysis and intel from sources I’d never grasp. After 24 hours, i got a message, my funds were frozen in the scammer’s account pending review. Alpha Spy Nest had apparently flagged it just in time. After some back-and-forth, the exchange with the help of Alpha Spy Nest reversed the transactions, and $145,000 of my original $156,000 hit my wallet. The rest, they said, was likely gone forever, siphoned off early. I never met anyone from Alpha Spy Nest, never heard a voice or saw a face. Yet, their methodical precision pulled me back from the brink. My money wasn’t fully restored, but the recovery felt like a win, a lifeline from a faceless ally in a world of digital shadows. Dear Thieves.
So I was looking at some guy who's job I designed today.
He was sitting there with the new laptop I bought during one visit here.
It was an hp with a silver keyboard and handrest because supposedly normal people stopped owning laptops when you all decided to embrace schizophrenia and create inane rather stupid meanings that are associated with literally everything but sense or sophistication.
comparing oneself to an animal for example doesn't focus on positive or spiritual values, its something perverse.
ordering food is not about enjoying new things or savoring flavors, its about something perverse.
going to school is not to learn things, its to crash and burn later because the powers that be refuse to update the system from the 1970s.
living, is not living at all, but working to pay bills and get old bitter and fat.
well.
shit.
retards.
anyway. doesn't explain people like myself who made things when we could and were enthusiastic about our jobs at points.
oh. and supposedly the guy who stole the job was 'I".... and it was a job that would become 'outmoded'......
i believe that was the word often used. let;s check. yup, close enough.
then all these people talking about 'new' jobs because noone could trust the group of monsters they made with too much spare time. since you know. they thought it was funny to steal human beings lives since they were not human. subhuman.
anyway.
where suddenly everything meant something else and a whole new world of retarded people emerged from the shadows because the trash children of a former generation got sick of being lectured about morality when they were in fact just bad people who should have been shot.
i don't care how else the whiney bastards explain themselves. i really don't.
you can say that in desperate fucked situations involving psychological torture, rape, etc that a decent person *raises their hand* might do TERRIBLE things to their captors in order to escape, but THEY caused that while whining that someone from the 1940s or earlier made them evil and they had no choice but to steal jobs, money, retirement funds, public institutions, the morals of a generation, i'll bite: toddlers, spread their legs like psycho whores to get pregnant, so steal people's unborn children, turn every fund available that could have gone towards people that needed things to money laundering and in general gleefully fucked our whole country up with the lack of foresight that psychopaths commonly display.
great job.
was it worth dying ?
how about going crazy and letting another group of evil people make an excuse to drive everyone into an endless idiotic loop ?
but hey no, keep lying. works so well.
well at least fedora 37 is released again.
give the stolen photos back.
just want to know what i looked like, and don't want to talk like a retard to get people who understand english to pretend they finally comprehend.
fucking bastards.4 -

The day our crypto inheritance vanished was the day our family’s foundation cracked. For my siblings and me, those digital assets weren’t just wealth—they were our parents’ legacy. Years of sacrifice and foresight had gone into building that nest egg, intended to protect us from life’s unpredictability. When hackers erased it in moments, grief and guilt consumed us. How could we let this happen? we whispered, stunned by the fragility of something we thought was secure. Our trust in technology was shattered. But then, Salvage Asset Recovery stepped in and what they restored went beyond numbers. It began with a gut-wrenching discovery. My youngest sister noticed strange withdrawals from our shared wallet amounts we hadn’t authorized, vanishing into unknown accounts. A sinking feeling spread as we realized what had happened: the entire inheritance was gone. When we contacted authorities, their responses were discouraging. Crypto’s decentralized nature made tracing nearly impossible. My brother, always self-critical, blamed himself for not setting up better protections. I struggled with the task of telling our mother. When I finally did, her voice cracked, “Did we lose everything?” That question echoed through our home like a curse. Then someone whispered hope: Salvage Asset Recovery. Desperate, we reached out, expecting a slim chance. But their response was swift and confident: “We’ve seen this before. Let’s get your story back.” From that moment, it felt less like hiring a service and more like gaining allies. The team treated us with empathy, never condescending, and explained each step in language we could understand. Their approach was both surgical and strategic. They traced transactions through layers of obfuscation, deciphering patterns we couldn’t see. One analyst described it as “chasing shadows in a hall of mirrors” and yet, they never wavered. My sister saved every update like a diary. My brother mapped their progress obsessively. And piece by piece, the inheritance began to reappear. In the end, Salvage Asset Recovery pulled off what felt like a miracle. They recovered every stolen dollar but more importantly, they restored something deeper. Our belief in each other. Our resilience. Our hope. What began as a nightmare ended with a reunion not just with our assets, but with a renewed sense of unity. We didn’t just survive the scam we overcame it.1 -

WHICH CRYPTO RECOVERY COMPANY IS LEGIT: HIRE FUNDS RECLIAMER COMPANY
As an architect, every design I create is a mark of trust, trust in materials, trust in my team, and trust in the earth beneath our feet. But nothing could have readied me for the collapse I experienced when that trust was broken from within. I had laboriously built up a $400,000 Bitcoin hoard over several years, a monetary safety net for my business to weather financial tempests and fund future projects. I entrusted its defense to a long-time business partner, a man who I once considered my right arm. That trust fell apart when he betrayed me. It started subtly. I noticed minor discrepancies, delayed logins, emails not returned. Then one morning, I was locked out altogether. He was gone. The phones weren't answered, his office cleared overnight, and my heart pounded in alarm. The electronic safe haven of our hard-won savings was now a fortress without a key, hostage to a ghost. Rage and panic warred within me. I envisioned telling my employees that our future was doubtful because I had trusted the wrong person. Sleepless nights were spent searching the web for miracles. That was when, at an architectural design expo in Milan, I overheard two colleagues discussing FUNDS RECLIAMER COMPANY. Their stories of miraculous crypto recoveries caught my attention like a ray of light piercing a room darkened by shadows. With nothing to lose, I reached out to FUNDS RECLIAMER COMPANY. Their staff handled my case from the very first consultation with the same discretion and precision that I bring to my own cases. They did not handle my case like a transaction but like a delicate form that had to be painstakingly restored. Their cybersecurity experts meticulously tracked my partner's digital footprints, unraveling his complex attempt to hide his trail. Through cutting-edge blockchain tracing and legal action, they slowly dismantled his blockade. I was updated daily, step by step, like progress reports on a skyscraper rising from the earth. Fifteen tense days later, the call came. They had succeeded. The money was back in our firm's possession, intact and secure. Relief washed over me like the unveiling of a completed work of art. FUNDS RECLIAMER COMPANY not only got back money; they got back my hope. They made me realize that even when trust is lost, there are still able hands ready to rebuild. For that, I will forever be grateful.

One morning I discovered our Bitcoin wallet emptied, $350,000 gone, stolen by a fake tech-education partner, I sat frozen in the cold glow of my laptop. Those funds were meant to build coding labs, buy laptops, and bring robotics workshops to kids in neighborhoods where hope often felt like a rumor. Now, the balance reads $0.00. The screen’s blue light reflected off empty desks in our community center, where laughter had once bounced during programming camps. I felt like I’d failed a thousand futures.
Then, Ms. Rivera, a retired teacher who’d turned her garage into a makeshift tech hub, found me staring at the void. Her hands, still chalk-dusted from tutoring algebra, gripped my shoulders. “You’re not done yet,” she said. That night, she posted our story in an online educators’ forum. By dawn, a flood of replies poured in, but one stood out: “Contact On WhatsApp +.1.5.6.1.7.2.6.3.6.9.7 OR Email. Tech cybers force recovery (@ cyber services (.)com. They’re miracle workers.”
I called, voice shaking. A woman named Priya answered, her tone steady as a lighthouse. She asked questions in plain language: “When did the money vanish?” “What’s the scammer’s wallet address?” Within hours, her team mapped the theft, a maze of fake accounts and dark web mixers. “They’re hiding your Bitcoin like needles in a haystack,” Priya explained. “But we’ve got magnets.”
Sixteen days of nerve-wracking limbo followed. Our volunteer coders, like Jamal, a college dropout teaching Python to teens, refused to cancel classes. “We’ll use chalkboards if we have to,” he said. Parents brought homemade meals, kids scribbled “THANK U” notes for labs they hoped to see. Then, on a rainy Tuesday, Priya called: “94% recovered. The kids won’t miss a thing.”
I’ll never forget reloading the wallet. The balance blinked back $329,000 as Jamal whooped and Ms. Rivera dabbed her eyes with a handkerchief. Today, our labs hum with donated laptops. Kids like Sofia, an 11-year-old who codes apps to find clean water sources, light up screens with ideas that could change the world.
TECH CYBER FORCE RECOVERY didn’t just reclaim coins, they salvaged dreams. Priya’s team works like teachers of the digital age, turning scams into lessons and despair into grit. And to the forum stranger who tagged them: you’re the quiet hero who rewrote our story.
If your mission gets hacked, call these wizards. They’ll fight in the shadows so kids like Sofia can keep lighting up the world.1 -

As the year 2025 approached, I was excited for the New Year’s Eve celebrations, eager to kick off the year with some fresh investments. How To Restore Investments From Scammers // Cryptic Trace Technologies
Last year, my mother’s life took a heartbreaking turn when she unknowingly invested her entire retirement savings into what turned out to be a fraudulent scheme. It promised incredible returns, claiming to be a revolutionary financial opportunity. One of the platforms she trusted was similar to Mirror Trading International (MTI) — a crypto-based investment program that lured people in with convincing testimonials and fake trading reports. My mom, hoping to secure a comfortable future after years of hard work, watched helplessly as her savings disappeared into thin air. The aftermath was devastating. I remember the nights she’d sit quietly in the living room, staring at old bank statements, blaming herself for being too trusting. She felt embarrassed, broken, and hopeless. We tried everything — filing reports, reaching out to authorities, even speaking to lawyers — but every lead felt like a dead end. The people behind the scam had covered their tracks so well it felt like chasing shadows. It was one of the most helpless feelings, watching someone you love fall apart because of the cruelty of strangers. Just when we were about to give up, a friend told us about Cryptic Trace Technology, a recovery service specializing in tracing lost funds from scams and cryptocurrency fraud. Skeptical but desperate, we reached out — and to our surprise, they responded with care, empathy, and a clear plan of action. We reached out to them via their E M A I L : Cryptictrace (@) technologist (.) com. Their experts used advanced tracing tools to follow the digital trail, uncovering accounts and transaction histories we thought were long gone. Four days later, they recovered my mom’s stolen investments in full. The day we received confirmation, my mother broke down in tears — not because of the money, but because someone had finally fought for her when she thought no one would. It was a moment of hope we’ll never forget. Thank you Cryptic Trace Technologies. Be blessed.1
