I changed my discord-password yesterday and, naturally it prompted me for a login today. So I enter my new password and that motherfucking spawn from satans anus himself with the name of captcha threw itself at me... I seriously had to select fucking street signs for about 5min before Discord let me know that I apparently logged in from a new IP (thanks VPN) and therefore needed to confirm my e-Mail address. Alright, so off to my inbox I go.
SURPRISE, I also changed my password there yesterday (LastPass Security Challenge, I changed like 30 passwords yesterday) and guess what was waiting for me?... If you guessed a captcha, you just got full fucking marks. So I was busy selecting busses and streets for the next 3min again before I could finally log into that piece of trash and autorize my IP-address and log into Discord

God damn it lastpass, how the hell do you get a memory leak and an infinite loop in a fucking browser extension?! Using 7GB of RAM and all 8 cores @ 3,4GHz!!

Just met a startup that has a programmer intern but no IT supervisor. I felt so sorry for her that I decided to show her a few cool tools that she can use in her work.

She was still using Xampp, Google Chrome, command prompt and paper trails (for all of the passwords she had to manage to different accounts)

Shown her how to use Docker, Git Bash and WSL, FireFox Developer Edition, VS Code (if she decides to not use that unregistered Sublime Text editor) and LastPass (personal preference).

My phone just died. Got a new phone on recommendation of friends and flash Jolla on it. The OS is super nice but the "Android support" doesnt work. No lastpass, no netflix, no prime, signal works half, no banking app.

I really need my windows phone back. It just worked without issues. After two android phones and now a Jolla in about two years im kinda done with all this shit.

Started using a password manager. Never thought life would be so easier.

LastPass or 1Password for teams?

Other suggestions are welcomed but need to pick on of the above.

I had to create an account on a website. I used LastPass to generate a strong password. I entered it and got the following message:
"Password must be between 8 and 16 characters and must have special characters (? , ! & #) and numbers"
My password was 20 characters, me annoyed to generate a 16 character password. Filled it in and got the same error. That was it for me.
Who dafuq limits a password to 16 characters, that's fucking nothing. It did not accept all special characters, only the ones that were showed (like 5 or so).
And here comes the worst part...
It's a bank website! I had to create the most most most insecure password in history for it to work.

My phone got stuck in funky restart boot loop yesterday. The first 2 restarts was odd but after 3 cycles, I started panicking. Went on my PC, googled for all kinds of button combinations of power button, volume button, back button, and home button to get into fastboot, recovery and safe mode to see if I can clear stuff or at least get backup of my stuff. I also tried taking the battery out. Nothing works, except when I factory reset.

Everything was new again and as it booted up, I have to remember to change my authentication keys in LastPass, my private ssh key in Krypt. But fortunately, Google remembered all my apps and suggested if I wanted to install them again since it recognized my phone was an old phone. Thanks for tracking me Google. And now since its a reset, everything is clean, no cache, cookie, and some of my music files are all gone. Well at least its fast like before.

Does anyone else feel that modern GUI's or webpages or anything thats 2-D and modernized, just seem to contain 10x less data that old interfaces.

I am the only one annoyed by this?

I really like the look and everything and I love modern designs, but please please, keep the functionality there. I just feel like there is 10x less options to do when I see a system converted to a new modernized design. Even YouTube look ugly now, that I am convinced there are about 10 buttons less under each video.

Thinking objectively, all of the buttons are still there, but from other experiences, I just always get discouraged when I see a product with a minimalistic design, and am immediately turned away from it, expecting that I wont have any sort of ability to customize my settings.

If you say that fancier GUI's take too much work to make all he settings, the fucking don't make a modern GUI... I want something I can tailor to my needs... There is always a good line in between, just like "old" youtube's design...

Maybe thats why I hated LastPass with it's fancy GUI's and instead preferred KeePass for my passwords...

Digging its own grave

So I just got the cyber security pack on humblebundle... $15 for a year of PIA, a year of spider oak one cloud backups and a year of Dashlane are the notable ones (I’ll give away the antivirus ones for free since I don’t have windows).

But that wasn’t the awesomest part...

I installed Dashlane and after transferring all my stuff over from LastPass, I went to delete my LastPass

Dashlane autofilled the username...

It’s like so subtly aggressive in an unintentional way. Honestly this password manager Battle Royale is totally worth the $15 regardless.

The guy worked 4 days building a nice challenging feature.
Fucking spend 30 more minutes to write a documentation on how it works bc is like you did nothing.

Which is better? 1password or LastPass?

FUCK YOU, Lastpass. By all means, look for the passwords I use to match your master password. But when I type that password mistakenly, don't assume it's the one I use.

Dashlane sucks. It’s the absolute worst password manager ever. Not a day goes by when it tries to log me into a site incorrectly, forgets a password, freezes up, etc. Yesterday I attempted to very carefully change the master password and it locked me out with the new password. Had to reset using the revoke process and it sent me back 6 months in time. Now I have to reconstruct all my logins a day before I go on vacation. I’m stuck with it because my employer reviewed LastPass and decided Dashlane had a few features LastPass didn’t that they really need. Seriously, SCREW DASHLANE!!

I hate having too much security, on the user side. I have 2 step verification on anything that allows and also most of my passwords are up to a limit, seriously. This is why I have LastPass but obviously no work I ever been in allowed it. Except Freelancing and my own software / apps.

Kinda related to this site: i click any link in this page and LastPass pops up like "I FOUND A INSECURE LOGIN BRO! I KNOW THERE'S NONE ON THE SCREEN, BUT JUST TRUST ME BRO"

Lost my password to my hostmaze login because LastPass didn't save it properly. Now I can't reset it because their mailing server is not working (found out after emails failed to send to their support email with an error on their end). Their chat is also non-responsive.... What do I do now...
