1. I join a company.
2. I get deeply involved in "how to run the company", and get nice compliments from both coworkers & management about my skills in conveying startup/scaleup advice & necessities to upper management.
3. With my ego inflated through all the sweet talk, I think "ah, what the hell, let's do this again", and I accept a Lead/CTO promotion. I have to join board meetings, write reports on quarterly plans and progress.
4. I get unhappy/stressed/burned-out because I really just want to be a developer, not a manager/executive.
5. Upper management understands, I give up my lead position, lock myself back into my coding cave.
6. I get annoyed because the requirements I receive become more and more disconnected from reality, half of the teams seem to have decided to stop using agile/scrum, the testing pipeline breaks all the time, I get an updated labor contract from HR by mail which smells like charred flesh, etc
7. The annoyances become too much to do ANY work. I yell at the other devs outside of the entrance of my cave. There is no answer, only a few painful moans and sighs.
8. I emerge from my cave. The city has turned into a desolate wasteland. The office is a burning ruin, the air sharp and heavy with black soot. Disemboweled corpses of developers litter the poisoned soil.
Product Managers dressed in stained ripped suits scream at each other while they try to reinforce concrete barricades with scotch tape and post-its. *THUMP* Something enormous is trying to break through. "Thank God, bittersweet, you're still alive! The stakeholders! They have mutated! We couldn't meet the promised deadlines! We've lost the whole mobile app department, and that kid there is the last of the backenders and he's only an intern! You're here to save us, right? RIGHT?".
In the corner, between the overflowing coffee machine and a withered cactus, a young boy has collapsed onto the floor. His face is covered in moldy coffee grounds, clasping on to his closed macbook for dear life, wide-open eyes staring into the void, mumbling: "didn't backup the database, and It's all gone" over and over.
A severely dented black Tesla with a dragging loose bumper breaks through the dried up vertical herb garden and the smoothiebar, and comes to a halt against the beanbags in a big cloud of styrofoam balls.
The CEO limps out, leaking blood all over the upholstery. He yells to the COO: "The datacenter is completely flooded with sewage! I saved the backup tapes though", holding a large nest of tangled black magnetic tape mixed with clumps of mud above his head.
9. I collect my outstanding salary and sell any rewarded options/shares for a low dumping price, take a 5 month holiday, and ask a recruiter about opportunities in a different city.14 -
I have to let it out. It's been brewing for years now.
Why does MySQL still exist?
Really, WHY?!
It was lousy as hell 8 years ago, and since then it hasn't changed one bit. Why do people use it?
First off, it doesn't conform to standards, allowing you to aggregate without explicitly grouping, in which case you get god knows what type of shit in there, and then everybody asks why the numbers are so weird.
Second... it's $(CURRENT_YEAR) for fucks sake! This is the time of large data sets and complex requirements from those data sets. Just an hour through SO will show you dozens of poor people trying to do with MySQL what MySQL just can't do because it's stupid.
Recursion? 4 lines in any other large RDBMS, and tough luck in MySQL. So what next? Are you supposed to use Lemograph alongside MySQL just because you don't know that PostgreSQL is free and super fast?
Window functions to mix rows and do neat stuff? Naaah, who the hell needs that, right? Who needs to find the products ordered by the customer with the biggest order anyway? Oh you need that actually? Well you should write 3-4 queries, nest them in an incredibly fucked up way, summon a demon and feed it the first menstrual blood of your virgin daughter.
There used to be some excuses in the past "but but but, shared hosting only has MySQL". Which was wrong by the way. This was true only for big hosting names, and for people who didn't bother searching for alternatives. And now it's even better, since VPS and PaaS solutions are now available at prices lower than shared hosting, which give you better speed, performance and stability than shared hosting ever did.
"But but but Wordpress uses MySQL" - well then kill it! There are other platforms out there, that aren't just outrageously horrible on the inside and outside. Wordpress is crap, and work on it pays crap. Learn Laravel, Symfony, Zend, or even Drupal. You'll be able to create much more value than those shitty Wordpress sites that nobody ever visits or pay money on.
"But but but my client wants some static pages presented beside their online shop" - so why use Wordpress then? Static pages are static pages. Whip up a basic MVC set-up in literally any framework out there, avoid MySQL, include a basic ACL package for that framework, create a controller where you add a CKEditor to edit page content, and stick a nice template from themeforest for that page and be done with that shit! Save the mock-up for later use if you do that stuff often. Or if you're lazy to even do that, then take up Drupal.
But sure, this is going a bit over the scope. I actually don't care where you insert content for your few pages. It can be a JSON file for all I care. But if I catch you doing an e-commerce solution, or anything else than just text storage, on MySQL, I'll literally start re-assessing your ability to think rationally.11 -
A sidebar.
Literally just a sidebar.
And yes, this was in Hell.
Its code was spread across at least 40 files, and it used a bunch of freaking global variables to unfurl accordion sections, hide other sections/items, highlight the active item, etc. These were set (and unset!) in controller actions, so if you didn’t unset one, it remained open and highlighted until another action unset it.
Some of the global variable checks (and permissions checks) were done in the individual views, some outside of the `render` statements that include them. Some of them inherited variables from the parent, some from the controller, some from globals. Getting a view to work was trial and error. Oh, and some had their own inline css, some used css classes.
Subsections were separate views, so were some individual items, both sometimes rendered using shared templates, and all of the views and templates had the exact. same. filename. (They were located in different directories, and thus located automagically via implicit relative paths.) So, it was a virtually endless parade of`render partial => “sidebar”`. Which file does that point to? Good luck figuring it out!
Also, comments in several places said adding a new section required a database migration. I never did figure out why.
Anyway, I discovered this because I had an innocuous-sounding ticket to rearrange the sidebar, group some sections/items under different permissions, move some items to another menu, and nest some others differently.
It took me two bloody weeks, and this was when I was extremely productive every day.
Afterward, I was so disgusted by it that I took a day and removed every trace of the sidebar I could find, and rewrote it. I defined the sidebar in a hash, and wrote a simple recursive builder to generate the markup. It supported optional icons, n-level nesting, automatic highlighting of the current item and all parent nodes, compound and inherited permissions, wrapping of long names, hover and unfurl animations, etc. Took me a couple hundred lines of Ruby at the most, plus about the same of css.
Felt so good to remove that blight.5 -
We've got a team of around 20 developers and the most junior of them all is a interesting specimen.
The kind of person who thinks they a 'expert' in anything and everything and is constantly trying to school our senior developers who have 20+ years experience behind them.
The sort of person that spends 15 seconds googling something he has never heard of before, but now that he has skimmed 1 page on Google would classify himself as a 'expert' in said topic.
He comes into my office yesterday and proclaims that it has been decided by himself that he no longer wants to be a developer anymore and wants to do Ops/Infrastructure, then starts rambling on about how he is a Kubernetes expert.
I asked what experience he had with Kubernetes and his response was "I watched a webinar they did last night" to which I asked if he had ever actually used anything to do with Kubernetes in his life.
"No, but I'll watch a few YouTube videos and will then be more than qualified" he says
Followed by him telling me that we'll be moving all of our current Docker Swarm clusters into Kubernetes.
This was news to me (I'm head of infrastructure and operations)
I needed a good giggle, so I asked why we would get rid of our exisiting Docker infrastructure that's got a 100% uptime over the past 2 years and has worked without failure. It's truely been a dream.
He says "Because it's shiny and cool and better"
The nest afternoon he comes to me and says "When I move everything into Kubernetes I am going to convert everything into micro services"
He says that he watched a YouTube video the night before on microservices and has decided that it's what we need to use for a particular project.
(It's a simple php website that gets 100 hits per day)
Hopefully his boss will notice that he is producing no output soon. Don't want to tell the manager that the guy he hired delivers no work and lives in a fantasy land.
"your not touching the infrastructure. Ever"15 -
Some days I feel like I work in a different universe.
Last night our alerting system sent out a dept. wide email regarding a high number of errors coming from the web site.
Email shows the number of errors and a summary of the error messages.
Ex. 60 errors
59 Object reference not set to an instance of an object
1 The remote server returned an unexpected response: (413) Request Entity Too Large
Web team responds to the email..
"Order processing team's service is returning a 413 error. I'll fill out a corrective action ticket in the morning to address that error in their service. "
Those tickets are taken pretty seriously by upper mgmt, so I thought someone on the order processing team would point out the 1 error vs. 59 (coming from the web team's code).
Two hours go by, nobody responds, so I decide to jump into something that was none of my business.
"Am I missing something? Can everyone see the 59 null reference exceptions? The 413 exception only occurred once. It was the null reference exceptions that triggered the alert. Looking back at the logs, the site has been bleeding null reference exceptions for hours. Not enough for an alert, but there appears to be a bug that needs to be looked into."
After a dept. managers meeting this morning:
MyBoss: "Whoa..you kicked the hornets nest with your response last night."
Me: "Good. What happened?"
<Dan dept VP, Jake web dept mgr>
MyBoss: "Dan asked Jake if they were going to fix the null reference exceptions and Jake got pissed. Said the null reference errors were caused by the 413 error."
Me: "How does he know that? They don't log any stack traces. I don't think those two systems don't even talk to one another."
<boss laughs>
MyBoss:"That's what Dan asked!..oh..then Jake started in on the alert thresholds were too low, and we need to look into fixing your alerting code."
Me: "What!? Good Lord, tell me you chimed in."
MyBoss: "Didn't have to. Dan starting laughing and said there better be a ticket submitted on their service within the next hour. Then Jake walked out of the meeting. Oh boy, he was pissed."
Me: "I don't understand how they operate over there. It's a different universe.
MyBoss: "Since the alert was for their system, nobody looked at the details. I know I didn't. If you didn't respond pointing out the real problem, they would have passed the buck to the other team and wasted hours chasing a non-existent problem. Now they have to take resources away from their main project and answer to the VP for the delay. I'm sure they are prefixing your name right now with 'that asshole'"
Me: "Not the first, won't be the last."2 -
(I wrote most of this as a comment in reply about Microsoft buying GitHub on another rant but decided to move it here because it is rant worthy. Also, no, I'm not a Microsoft employee nor do I have any Microsoft stock).
Microsoft buying GitHub makes sense. They contribute more to the open source community on GitHub than any other company. (Side note, they also contribute/have contributed to the Linux Kernel).
Steve Ballmer isn't running the show anymore. Because of that, we have awesome things like:
* Visual Studio Code - Completely free and powerful light weight IDE for coding in just about any script or language. This IDE is also open source, hosted on GitHub. It can be installed on Win/Mac/Linux.
* Visual Studio Community Edition: fully featured flagship IDE free for solo developers and students, can be installed on Win/Mac.
* Fully featured Sql Server running in a Docker container.
* .Net Core, which can be compiled to native binaries of Windows, MacOS AND Linux. You can't even do that with Java, you have to first have the JVM installed in order to run any kind of Java code on any of those operating systems. .Net Core is also an absolutely beautiful framework with so many features at your disposal.
...and more.
Yes, they've done bonehead things in the past but who/which company hasn't. Yes, they have Cortana. Yes, they force Bing on you when searching with Cortana (does anyone actually regularly use Cortana? Or Bing?). Yes, their operating system costs money. Yes, their malware-style Upgrade-to-Windows-10 tactics were evil and they admitted such. Yes, they brought ads and other unfortunate things to Skype. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't concerned about that Skype bit translating over into GitHub. BUT, the fact that so many of their employees use GitHub daily means they are dogfooding the platform, which is a positive thing.
Despite the flaws, from the perspective of a software engineer they really should be given a lot of credit for all these new directions they are moving in now. They directly aim to help and contribute to the developer community. Plus, Windows 10 is finally getting a dark theme! haha.
I think Microsoft buying GitHub makes a lot of sense. Of course do what you want about it, feel how you want about it, but casting the same ol' shade at them for anything they do seems a bit like automatic reflex more than anything else.
I'm bracing myself for the impending wave of angry hornets from the nest I just kicked. In all seriousness though, I welcome discussion on the topic even if you feel differently than I do. I'm not saying there's no reason to dislike them, just saying there are lots of new reasons to hate them less and/or appreciate what they are doing now.19 -
"Make us a one-page website for our new company!"
I build the site, to their exact specifications and show it to them
"There's only one page"
"You only asked for one page."
"No, we didn't"
I show them the email they sent me, asking for a one-page site

New project at work involving Google Nest Hubs, supervisor asks me to do the initial setup of one of them to start developing with it using its API.
I start looking throughout the documentation and realise that we need to setup a work google account in order to register the devices, pay a fee and only THEN be able to use Google's API for Smart Devices (damn, you, Google!). Supervisor is somewhat baffled by this, and in my head I'm also surprised by his reaction. I'd assume you'd research your devices before you buy them, right?
Later, he comes into the room I'm in (I'm still allowed to work on location), looks at the freshly setup Nest Hub, saying "wow, this sure is a much smaller screen than I was expecting". I mean, you did research these devices before you bought TWENTY of them. RIGHT?!
On my way to fight with this Google device-registration-API-thing now.
To be continued...11 -
Making a site that looks like Windows XP for one of my friends. What do you guys think of it so far?

Wtf is up with these fucking web devs, like I ask a simple fucking question, and its like I'm being interrogated for my inability to know everything at any given time...
Like I get it kyle, the only thing you hide better than your virginity is your code...

Finally installed Linux(Mint) on my laptop.
I guess I'll need to install some essential things that I need to really make use of it. I'm just exploring right now and so far, I'm loving it.
Got really tired of the BSOD that Windows kept giving me.
I've tried a few solutions, but it seems like it has made its comfortable nest inside and shows its sad face whenever it feels like it and ruins my important work (not really, but it really pisses me off)
Can't get rid of Windows completely because I need it for various reasons.
I've used Linux(Red Hat) before and also my university computers have Red Hat installed.
I would've also installed it on my PC, but it doesn't work right now.
Thanks,guys!
(For making me want to use Linux)
I really have a lot to learn.
PS - I can barely see what I'm typing here. Is it just me or is it really just bright as shit? (On web, of course)

So I just spent the last few hours trying to get an intro of given Wikipedia articles into my Telegram bot. It turns out that Wikipedia does have an API! But unfortunately it's born as a retard.
First I looked at https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/API and almost thought that that was a Wikipedia article about API's. I almost skipped right over it on the search results (and it turns out that I should've). Upon opening and reading that, I found a shitload of endpoints that frankly I didn't give a shit about. Come on Wikipedia, just give me the fucking data to read out.
Ctrl-F in that page and I find a tiny little link to https://mediawiki.org/wiki/... which is basically what I needed. There's an example that.. gets the data in XML form. Because JSON is clearly too much to ask for. Are you fucking braindead Wikipedia? If my application was able to parse XML/HTML/whatevers, that would be called a browser. With all due respect but I'm not gonna embed a fucking web browser in a bot. I'll leave that to the Electron "devs" that prefer raping my RAM instead.
OK so after that I found on third-party documentation (always a good sign when that's more useful, isn't it) that it does support JSON. Retardpedia just doesn't use it by default. In fact in the example query that was a parameter that wasn't even in there. Not including something crucial like that surely is a good way to let people know the feature is there. Massive kudos to you Wikipedia.. but not really. But a parameter that was in there - for fucking CORS - that was in there by default and broke the whole goddamn thing unless I REMOVED it. Yeah because CORS is so useful in a goddamn fucking API.
So I finally get to a functioning JSON response, now all that's left is parsing it. Again, I only care about the content on the page. So I curl the endpoint and trim off the bits I don't need with jq... I was left with this monstrosity.
curl "https://en.wikipedia.org/w/api.php/...=*" | jq -r '.query.pages[0].revisions[0].slots.main.content'
Just how far can you nest your JSON Wikipedia? Are you trying to find the limits of jq or something here?!
And THEN.. as an icing on the cake, the result doesn't quite look like JSON, nor does it really look like XML, but it has elements of both. I had no idea what to make of this, especially before I had a chance to look at the exact structured output of that command above (if you just pipe into jq without arguments it's much less readable).
Then a friend of mine mentioned Wikitext. Turns out that Wikipedia's API is not only retarded, even the goddamn output is. What the fuck is Wikitext even? It's the Apple of wikis apparently. Only Wikipedia uses it.
And apparently I'm not the only one who found Wikipedia's API.. irritating to say the least. See e.g. https://utcc.utoronto.ca/~cks/...
Needless to say, my bot will not be getting Wikipedia integration at this point. I've seen enough. How about you make your API not retarded first Wikipedia? And hopefully this rant saves someone else the time required to wade through this clusterfuck.12 -
I used to think that I had matured. That I should stop letting my emotions get the better of me. Turns out there's only so much one can bottle up before it snaps.
Allow me to introduce you folks to this wonderful piece of software: PaddleOCR (https://github.com/PaddlePaddle/...). At this time I'll gladly take any free OCR library that isn't Tesseract. I saw the thing, thought: "Heh. 3 lines quick start. Cool.", and the accuracy is decent. I thought it was a treasure trove that I could shill to other people. That was before I found out how shit of a package it is.
First test, I found out that logging is enabled by default. Sure, logging is good. But I was already rocking my own logger, and I wanted it to shut the fuck up about its log because it was noise to the stuffs I actually wanted to log. Could not intercept its logging events, and somehow just importing it set the global logging level from INFO to DEBUG. Maybe it's Python's quirk, who knows. Check the source code, ah, the constructors gaves `show_log` arg to control logging. The fuck? Why? Why not let the user opt into your logs? Why is the logging on by default?
But sure, it's just logging. Surely, no big deal. SURELY, it's got decent documentation that is easily searchable. Oh, oh sweet summer child, there ain't. Docs are just some loosely bundled together Markdowns chucked into /doc. Hey, docs at least. Surely, surely there's something somewhere about all the args to the OCRer constructor somewhere. NOPE! Turns out, all the args, you gotta reference its `--help` switch on the command line. And like all "good" software from academia, unless you're part of academia, it's obtuse as fuck. Fine, fuck it, back to /doc, and it took me 10 minutes of rummaging to find the correct Markdown file that describes the params. And good-fucking-luck to you trying to translate all them command line args into Python constructor params.
"But PTH, you're overreacting!". No, fuck you, I'm not. Guess whose code broke today because of a 4th number version bump. Yes, you are reading correctly: My code broke, because of a 4th number version bump, from 2.6.0.1, to 2.6.0.2, introducing a breaking change. Why? Because apparently, upstream decided to nest the OCR result in another layer. Fuck knows why. They did change the doc. Guess what they didn't do. PROVIDING, A DAMN, RELEASE NOTE. Checked their repo, checked their tags, nothing marking any releases from the 3rd number. All releases goes straight to PyPI, quietly, silently, like a moron. And bless you if you tell me "Well you should have reviewed the docs". If you do that for your project, for all of your dependencies, my condolences.
Could I just fix it? Yes. Without ranting? Yes. But for fuck sake if you're writing software for a wide audience you're kinda expected to be even more sane in your software's structure and release conventions. Not this. And note: The people writing this, aren't random people without coding expertise. But man they feel like they are.5 -
Finally finished the longest ticket I've ever worked on in my life. The ticket title and description was a pretty simple and straightforward one: "Upgrade from PHP 7.4 to 8".
If it was only so simple in real life. Our application is mostly done with API Platform framework, which is based on top of Symfony framework which is based on top of PHP language.
Once I did PHP 7 => 8 upgrade I needed to upgrade API Platform 2 => 3. But of-course that couldn't have been done as before that I needed to upgrade from Symfony 5 => 6.
This all was literally an equivalent of touching into a wasp nest - it took me a bit over 5 months and 800 hours of work and there was literally not a single source file left untouched.
In the process of all of this I've ran into literally dozen undocumented feature-breaking changes, broken backwards-compatibility promises and inside out architectural changes - from both the frameworks and the language itself.
Upgrading just one major version of anything SHOULD NOT be so hard. And to top it all up just to think I will need to do this again in a year or two..
Experiences like these really set my hate for time-based model of releases and the state of today's development in general.

JSF: Yeah, we make it so can focus on what's important and you never have to write HTML or CSS like those lowly web developers.
Also JSF: You can't nest <h:form> components because nested forms are invalid HTML. Oh, that breaks the composite component you were trying to use? Ha, fuck off.
Primefaces: You know how you can just provide an ID and OverlayPanel will open on its own? Well, for a Dialog, the API is completely different. Here's a glob of JavaScript in an onclick event.
I swear this entire thing was regurgitated by a murder of seagulls.1 -
Okay so I jumped on this app because I would ideally want to make friends interested in the stuff I am.
Using this app has really made me realise how much of a noob I am though. I feel like I'm doomed to never find the kinda people I wanna know.4 -
No experience with paid work yet, but for sysadmin work I'd mostly look at the environment and how the previous admin left the premises, and why they left. I wouldn't want to work with a bird's nest for a server room, that's got everything jammed into one clusterfuck of a god-function sort of server or something crazy like that. Separation of services, security, wire management, all those things matter because that's the state that you'll be working in, and cleaning up someone else's mess.. it makes my blood boil.
Payment is important, and if the job doesn't pay well, don't take it. Or if they place a wee bit too much value in those expensive pieces of toilet paper called certificates, it denotes incompetence from the employer by being unable to gauge your skills on their own (and I get that there's time management involved, but come on.. how long can it take to have a conversation with someone to gauge what their skillset is). But the working environment in particular is of vital importance. If it's all going to be yours to build, great (and don't you dare to half-ass it -_-). But if it's already been partially done by someone else, they'd better done it well. -
Anyone else just nest a bunch of ifs and loops and feel absolutely disgusted but it works so you don't want to refactor it?
5 -
Context: We have a 96-port wall-mount patch panel. We're not even using half of those ports. "We" (read: "I") are completely redoing our network rack, as it's an ancient nest of wires. Currently all the ports in use on the patch panel just have random-length cables which are just drooped down beside the rack before running to switches. When I need to trace a cable from patch panel to switch, it's a complete nightmare. However, the cables going to the patch panel do have enough of extra length to do a rack-mount patch panel. I suggest this...
MGR: "Ehhh... I don't really like the idea of tying the rack to the wall... What if we want to move it or something?"
(this rack is in a tiny room and has been there since probably the 1800's.)
ME: "Well the problem currently is that it's all but impossible to trace cables. And even if I rewire it and bundle them nicely, it will still be a headache. With a rack-mount panel, we could just have super short patch cables and so it's super easy when I need to move stuff around."
MGR: "Okkkk..... So what if we would purchase like 3 or 4 switches to get 96 ports, then we run a cable to every patch panel port. That way we never need to change anything :)))."
Dude. Great idea. Let's drop hundreds to thousands of dollars on switches we don't need, rather than just doing a single patch panel. Brilliant. Also another great idea that, running thirty or forty unnecessary cables that we aren't even using. That won't clutter up the rack or use up valuable space or get confusing which ports on the switches are/aren't in use.
I'm trying so hard not to scream right now. I can't deal with this.
EDIT: It gets worse. Apparently part of the reason he wants to do this is "to make it simple". Currently we have our POS system running to its own switch, the printers are on another switch, etc. (yes I know some of this could be accomplished with a VLAN, this was set up before my time). But apparently "if we just had every single port wired then we could plug in whatever we want wherever we want and it wouldn't matter." I just... That's... That's not how you do a network.1 -
Oh! no There is more than 10 level of nesting conditions in if else statements. I can not refactor it but It needs to add more nest there. I will only add switch statements or ternary operator for the deeper nesting conditions.4

"I can't connect to the internet on my phone!!11!"

I hate it when people use like 7 "if" statements instead of like.. 2? And when they do not nest "if"s.
For ex. :
if(condition1 && condition2){
}
if(condition1 && condition3){
}
.....
" But I am writing it out longer to understand better! "
Yet it eventually stays that way with like 50 lines of "if"s..1 -

Why can't people just do their fucking jobs? How hard is it to understand? Managers keep time, resources and risks in check and inform the developers. Developers develop and test the system. How the fuck do we have manager for agile, manager for program a manager for program b, risk mitigation manager, this shit manager that shit manager . For fucks sake with this much management we should be like fuckin bee nest and not an unorganized mess. In the end it turns out that literally there are more managers than developers just because they cannot fire an incapable idiot and they hire the next one. It is plain fucking simple - if you are not fit for the job get lost or make yourself fit. For fucks sake.
It really makes me wonder are there any well organized companies out there? -
Well, I just had something negative to say about the whole flat earth theory followed by me expressly saying I'm not looking for an argument
Interpretation: I just stirred the hornet's nest... Let's see what happens now7 -
A lot of this might be an assumption based on not enough research on both NestJS and TypeScript, so if something here is not well put or incorrect then please feel free to provide the necessary info to correct me since I care far more about getting dat booty than I do being right on the internet :D
Sooo, a year or so ago I got a hold on the Nest JS framework. A TypeScript based stack used to build microservices for node. Sounded good enough in terms of structure, it is based on the same format that Angular uses, so if you use Angular then the module system that the application has will make sense.
I attempted (last night) to play with the framework (which I normally don't since I am not that much of a big fan of frameworks and prefer a library based approach) and found a couple of things that weird me out about their selling points, mainly, how it deals with inversion of control.
My issue: This is dependency injection for people that don't really understand the concept of dependency injection. SOLID principles seem to be thrown out of the window completely due to how coupled with one another items are. Literally, you cannot change one dependency coming from one portion to the other(i.e a service into a controller) without changing all references to it, so if you were using a service specification for a particular database, and change the database, you would have to manually edit that very same service, or define another one....AND change the hardwire of the code from the providers section all the way into the controllers that use it....this was a short example, but you get the gist. This is more of a service locator type of deal than well....actual dependency injection. Oh, and the documentation uses classes rather than interfaces WHICH is where I started noticing that the whole intention of dependency injection was weird. Then I came to realize that TypeScript interfaces are meeheed out during transpilation.
Digging into the documentation I found about custom providers that could somehowemaybekinda work through. But in the end it requires far too much and items that well, they just don't feel as natural as if I was writing this in C# or Java, or PHP (actually where I use it the most)
I still think it is a framework worth learning, but I believe that this might be a bias of mine of deriving from the norm to which I was and have been used to doing the most.3 -
Ok so I keep obsessing over RE2 because the game is just so fucking cool. But one thing that I want to make notice for us computer nerds:
In the police station, when you see the computers there that are on, you see a very 90's interface, and of course you will, the game takes place in 1998.
When you are at the Umbrella NEST facility, there are computers there, the interface looks TODAY modern. Meaning that(and I know we all fans of the games knew this already) Umbrella's tech is far beyond what common civilian entities have. I know this is done intentionally and I know people are aware of it, but I just think that it is a really really REALLY cool element to the story to have something like this.
On another note, I want to get excited about Kingdom Hearts 3. But fuck this it has been so long and I had already forgotten everything about 1 and 2 and I am not really a fan of the series anymore. A friend is coming over to play it, I just wish I was more hyped for it.5 -

My project is a cloud based automated testing product. My current story is to extend a module to support multiple of a particular testcase type in one test run instead of just one. This has uncovered a rats nest of complexity because everything is designed with the assumption that there will only ever be one of these testcases.
Refactoring about 5 different classes just to get into a state where i can pass a list of testcases into a service instead of just one. Wrecking my head... -
Recently had to deal with support of Ring and Nest due to some issues with their cloud services (i.e. not with my device or apps). So fed up of being told to uninstall, reinstall, reset this etc. when I go look on Twitter and see others reporting the exact same problems at the same time. What bothered me most is that I start by explaining the exact issue, that other have same problem (including other users on my account in different cities etc.) and they just ignore it and start copy/pasting bits of their self-help articles.

While learning Java back in campus and you were the only one who could nest some for loops and create some pyramid stars and the lecturer was on you to(Java Ninja) explain it to fellow classmates that felt good.

I’d wrote some node js for simple web service. And when I learned typescript at first, I couldn’t find any reason to port these into typescript. And I replace old koa framework into nest js.

Always when I post a question on stackoverflow regarding batch with even explicitly written that I want *only* batch some 150rep idiot posts vbs or his .exe which forces me to delete the question if I don't want it to become vbs nest... so I rather google & try.

this might be controversial, but what exactly use to be / are benefits of moving out to live in "tech hub cities"?
i would like to hear the points which applies to both pre pandemic and post pandemic (aka remote work boom) era.
going to a bigger city if you are living in villeges / unreachable areas seems a valid move as there will be opportunities in the city. but going out of home citiy (aka a place with decent opportunities, even if less paying), to a completely new "tech hub" city just because there is a bunch of companies have offices seems a bit much.
what's the plan? you going to bay area for 5 years, and then coming back with vested stocks to your poultry farm home at springfield ? or is the plan to get settled in the city too? in my country, the difference i expense s in my city to my country's tech hub is 10x , even tho my city itself is the capital and has plenty of tech companies .
they offer lesser salaries tho, but leaving away my nest of friends, family , relatives and other known people to start my own dynasty at a completely new hustling city with no connections, just to earn a few extra bucks seems very less compelling8 -
Back when I still was in my first internship and was still working my way through the fundamentals of programming, I given a web relay and asked to make it do something. The web relay let you write BASIC into a web page hosted by the device itself in order to program it. My task was to turn the relay on if a certain temperature threshold was met, and to turn off the relay (the relay would control an air intake system for cooling).
I learned the syntax of BASIC enough to get a basic (hah) script going, and dug into the relay documentation for other bits of info I needed. It definitely was no coding masterpiece, but I was able to program the damned thing to turn this blower on and off if the measured temperature was within a range. I discovered that there was a limit to how deep the conditionals would nest, and had to restructure my code to account for the limitation.
I've since gotten better at coding, but to accomplish that task as I was beginning my programming journey felt like a true accomplishment. -
Was working on a nestjs api and building it on a starter template. After a year of work nest framework has been upgraded by two major version and api is unupgradable and in dependency hell.
Solved it by doing a transplant into new codebase built using cli. Only took two days. Everything went better than expected. -
Hey all, I'm curious for your opinion on this one. I've got some smart home devices (e.g. Hue lights, Nest Protect) and lately I started to think of the best way to protect them. Now I did see this project on Kickstarter (https://kickstarter.com/projects/...) and it seems to be a nice and easy way. But still, you don't know what they'll do with your data.
Would MAC address filtering in my router / modem not suffice for protection?
Let me know what you think :)5 -

Poorly designed software is akin to a torture device and no one can convince me otherwise.
Why on earth would you make a piece of software that randomly disconnects from printers, prints documents improperly for no reason - even if print settings are configured properly - and has a dog shit UI that’s a rats nest of menus and drop-downs.
Only a fool would make software overly complicated to use then blame the user when they voice their concerns. -

An amazing service, my people! I simply lost my recovery word after a rather insane week, and through a bout of laziness, I got myself locked out of my Bitcoin wallet containing $90,000. I had worked for decades to earn this digital nest egg, and suddenly I felt as if I had lost my financial lifeline. The panic was gripping, and there were numerous nights of insomnia running through emails, notebooks, and all backup choices, but no recovery phrase would appear.
I was completely alone throughout this mess, on the edge of despair. That is when a close acquaintance recommended Cyber Constable Intelligence. I was not the believing type at first—how could a service possibly restore something as private and secure as a Bitcoin wallet? But having no other choice, I gave it a shot.
Right from the first contact, I was amazed at how professional and understanding they were. The Cyber Constable Intelligence team took a seat to hear my case and explained their recovery process to me in plain, easy-to-understand terms. They made me believe that my case wasn't lost and that they would guide me through every step with their expertise. They remained in contact with me for a few days, providing me with reports that increasingly assuaged my anxiety and restored my dwindling hope.
Their professionalism was evident as they swam through levels of digital security protocols to locate and recover my lost wallet details. Each update from their end was a victory, leading me to believe in my heart that I would soon have access to my funds. At last, what felt like an eternity, my wallet was completely recovered, and I was able to see my $90,000 balance once again.
This entire debacle not only salvaged my monetary future but revived my trust in the strength of modern digital protection. I am Matt Williams, and I personally attest that Cyber Constable Intelligence is a lifeline for anyone having faced such an emergency. Their exceptional service and unwavering support have salvaged a disastrous setback and have turned it into a story of hope and second chance. If you somehow find yourself in a position where you are having difficulty accessing your misplaced digital property, don't hesitate to contact them—they are totally amazing and completely legit!1 -

The day our crypto inheritance vanished was the day our family’s foundation cracked. For my siblings and me, those digital assets weren’t just wealth—they were our parents’ legacy. Years of sacrifice and foresight had gone into building that nest egg, intended to protect us from life’s unpredictability. When hackers erased it in moments, grief and guilt consumed us. How could we let this happen? we whispered, stunned by the fragility of something we thought was secure. Our trust in technology was shattered. But then, Salvage Asset Recovery stepped in and what they restored went beyond numbers. It began with a gut-wrenching discovery. My youngest sister noticed strange withdrawals from our shared wallet amounts we hadn’t authorized, vanishing into unknown accounts. A sinking feeling spread as we realized what had happened: the entire inheritance was gone. When we contacted authorities, their responses were discouraging. Crypto’s decentralized nature made tracing nearly impossible. My brother, always self-critical, blamed himself for not setting up better protections. I struggled with the task of telling our mother. When I finally did, her voice cracked, “Did we lose everything?” That question echoed through our home like a curse. Then someone whispered hope: Salvage Asset Recovery. Desperate, we reached out, expecting a slim chance. But their response was swift and confident: “We’ve seen this before. Let’s get your story back.” From that moment, it felt less like hiring a service and more like gaining allies. The team treated us with empathy, never condescending, and explained each step in language we could understand. Their approach was both surgical and strategic. They traced transactions through layers of obfuscation, deciphering patterns we couldn’t see. One analyst described it as “chasing shadows in a hall of mirrors” and yet, they never wavered. My sister saved every update like a diary. My brother mapped their progress obsessively. And piece by piece, the inheritance began to reappear. In the end, Salvage Asset Recovery pulled off what felt like a miracle. They recovered every stolen dollar but more importantly, they restored something deeper. Our belief in each other. Our resilience. Our hope. What began as a nightmare ended with a reunion not just with our assets, but with a renewed sense of unity. We didn’t just survive the scam we overcame it.1 -
BTC Recovery Success with CERTIFIED RECOVERY SERVICES: My Experience and Recommendation
As a marine biologist dedicated to rescuing coral reefs, every dollar I saved was destined for the future of the ocean. I had amassed $575,000 in Bitcoin over a period of years to underwrite an ambitious reef restoration program. I needed to expand our coral nursery program, build more artificial reef structures, and fund education in coastal villages. This cryptocurrency savings nest egg was oxygen for marine ecosystems on life support, more than just money. But the sea, as much as I love her, is merciless. On a trip offshore to survey bleaching patterns, I took my hardware wallet along for safety. Break-ins at our field station in the past had made me paranoid about leaving it behind. Tucked in what I thought was a top-notch waterproof case, the device was clipped inside my gear bag. Following a day beneath the water, capturing coral decay and fending off territorial triggerfish, I returned to the boat, exhausted but satisfied. That satisfaction evaporated when I opened the case to find that it was flooded, the alleged waterproof seal having failed. My hardware wallet, the key to my entire $575,000 fund, was waterlogged beyond belief. Saltwater had permeated every seam, corroded buttons, the screen wavering like a distant lighthouse giving up the fight. Panic surged through me, stronger than any riptide. I imagined our nursery growth plunging into the abyss, our educational efforts silenced, and our reef-restoring efforts shut down in their tracks. Despair lingered like a storm cloud until another researcher on our vessel mentioned something about CERTIFIED RECOVERY SERVICES. He'd read about their success with water-damaged gear in a tech newsletter geared to field scientists.
With satellite internet barely functioning, I emailed frantically. They replied promptly and reassuringly. Their engineers, who had experience in rescuing wallets from every possible disaster, collaborated with our boat's sporadic schedule. They guided me through salvaging the device by drying it slowly using silica gel packs (which were fortunately part of our camera gear). Once I returned to land, I overnighted the damp wallet.
What happened next was nothing less than marine magic. The CERTIFIED RECOVERY SERVICES team painstakingly disassembled the corroded machine, navigating around burnt circuits and pulling out the encrypted keys. In twelve nail-biting days, my Bitcoin was fully recovered.
Our coral nursery is now thriving, our artificial reef program is expanding, and our team teaches kids about the value of ocean stewardship. None of this would have been possible without CERTIFIED RECOVERY SERVICES. They didn't just recover crypto; they recovered a future for our reefs, one polyp at a time.

CONSULT RAPID DIGITAL RECOVERY: TO HIRE A BITCOIN HACKER FOR YOUR BITCOIN FRAUD RECOVERY
The day my house turned against me started like any other lights flashing at my command, blinds snapping shut with military precision, and my coffee machine chirping a cheerful "Good morning!" as if it hadn't just witnessed me going broke. Here I was, a self-styled tech evangelist, huddled on the floor of my "smart" house, staring at an empty screen where my Bitcoin wallet once sat. My sin? Hubris. My penalty? Accidentally nuking my private keys while upgrading a custom node server, believing I could outsmart the pros. The result? A $425,000 crater where my crypto nest egg once grew, and a smart fridge that now beeped condescendingly every time I opened its doors.
Panic fell like a rogue AI. I pleaded with tech-savvy friends, who responded with a mix of pity and "You did what?! " I scrolled through forums until my eyes were streaming, trawling through threads filled with such mouthfuls as "irreversible blockchain entropy" and "cryptographic oblivion." I even begged my fridge's voice assistant to turn back the chaos, half-expecting it to sneer and respond, "Play stupid games, win stupid prizes." A Reddit thread buried deep under doomscrolls and memes was how desperation finally revealed to me Rapid Digital Recovery, a single mention of gratitude to the software that recovered lost crypto like digital paramedics.".
In despair, but without options, I called them. Their people replied with no judgment, but clinical immediacy, such as a hospital emergency room surgeons might exercise. Within a few hours, their engineers questioned my encrypted system logs a labyrinth of destroyed scripts and torn files like conservators rebuilding a fractured relic. They reverse-engineered my abortive update, tracking digital crumbs across layers of encryption. I imagined them huddled over glowing screens, fueled by coffee and obscurity of purpose, playing my catastrophe as a high-stakes video game. Twelve days went by, and an email arrived: "We've found your keys." My fingers trembled as I logged in. There it was my Bitcoin, resurrected from the depths, shining on the screen like a digital phoenix. I half-expect my smart lights to blink in gratitude.
Rapid Digital Recovery not only returned my money; they restored my faith in human ingenuity against cold, uncaring computer programming. Their people combined cutting-edge forensics with good-old-fashioned persistence, refusing to make my mistake a permanent one. Today, my smart home remains filled with automation, but I've shut down its voice activation. My fridge? It's again chilling my beer silently judging me as I walk by.
If you ever find yourself in a war of minds with your own machines, believe in the Rapid Digital Recovery. They'll outsmart the machines for you so you won't have to. Just perhaps unplug the coffee maker beforehand.

HIRE THE MOST EXPERIENCE CRYPTO SCAM RECOVERY EXPERT VISIT DIGITAL TECH GUARD RECOVERY
The air in my chocolate lab still smells like cocoa and regret. I’d spent years perfecting single-origin truffles, roasting beans until they gleamed like obsidian, and stashing Bitcoin profits in a wallet I’d named “Cocoa Reserve.” That wallet held $265,000, a golden ticket to expand my empire with a flagship store in Brussels. And then, with one click on a spoofed bill labeled "Belgian Chocolate Molds – Urgent Payment," my crypto was gone faster than a caramel drip on a hotplate. The swindle was a masterclass of nastiness. Contact WhatsApp: +1 (443) 859 - 2886 Email @ digital tech guard . com Telegram: digital tech guard . com Website link: digital tech guard . com The email mimicked my actual supplier's fonts, logos, even their typo-ridden English ("Kindly proceed the transfer immediately"). I'd been fooled by digital drag-and-drop. My heart sank as I watched the transaction confirmation flash tauntingly on-screen a spinning wheel of death where my life's work once dwelled. My accountant hyperventilated into a bag of cocoa nibs. My CFO threatened to "quit and become a beekeeper." And me? I stared into the blockchain explorer, tracing my Bitcoin's path through a hydra of mixers and offshore wallets, each one a nail in my entrepreneurial coffin. A midnight Slack rant in a food founders' group summoned a lifeline: Digital Tech Guard Recovery. Their name materialized between messages about shelf-stable ganache and FDA audits. Skeptical but spiraling, I slid into their DMs like a kid begging for a Halloween candy refill. Within hours, their team examined the theft with the finesse of a chocolatier tempering couverture. They tracked the scammer's twisting layers of fake KYC docs, Malta shell companies, and a Cypriot payment processor fishier than a truffle oil factory. Digital's forensic team became my avengers in hoodies. They collaborated with regulators from four countries, subpoenaing exchanges and freezing accounts mid-launder. The scammers, it turned out, had gotten greedy, siphoning funds into a stable coin wallet that had been flagged for "excessive hot sauce purchases" (no, really). Thirteen days later, I received a PDF titled "Recovery Complete" and a screenshot of my recovered wallet. No fanfare, no blare of trumpet, just the subdued hum of justice served cold, like a dark chocolate gelato. Digital Tech Guard Recovery not only saved my nest egg; they unraveled a fraud ring that is now in Interpol's sights. My Brussels boutique opens next spring, its safes guarded by triple-authentication and a paranoia so thick you could cut it into bonbons. I've even added a company motto: "Trust no one especially if they claim to sell Belgian molds." If your crypto dissolves into the digital ether, skip the panic attack. Call the Digital. They're the magic between catastrophe and resiliency. Just maybe screen your vendors twice, and keep the cocoa nibs handy for emergencies.1 -
It was a rainy Tuesday evening when I sat at my desk, staring at the screen in disbelief. My Bitcoin months of careful savings had vanished into a shady investment scheme I’d fallen for. The website promised "guaranteed returns," but after sending 2 BTC, the platform went dark, and my wallet was empty. I felt like a fool, scammed by my own desperation for a quick profit. Days turned into weeks, and I’d nearly given up hope when a friend mentioned Alpha Spy Nest, a secretive group known for tracking down lost crypto. Skeptical but desperate, I reached out through an encrypted email I found on a forum. Within hours, a response arrived: “Send us the details. We’ll see what we can do.” I shared everything, the wallet address I’d sent my Bitcoin to, the fake platform’s URL, and the few screenshots I’d taken. Alpha Spy Nest didn’t waste time with pleasantries. Their next message was a list of questions: transaction IDs, dates, even the IP address I’d used. I scrambled to provide it all, unsure how they’d pull off the impossible. Behind the scenes, Alpha Spy Nest went to work. They were a shadowy crew, hackers, blockchain analysts, and who-knows-what-else, operating on the edges of the digital world. Using tools I couldn’t begin to understand, they traced my Bitcoin through a labyrinth of wallets designed to hide the trail. The scammers had funneled it through mixers, but Alpha Spy Nest unraveled the mess, linking it to an exchange account tied to a careless crook who’d left digital breadcrumbs. Days later, I got a message: “Check your wallet.” My hands trembled as I opened my crypto app. There it was 1.9 BTC, a hair less than I’d lost due to fees, but more than I’d ever dreamed of seeing again. A follow-up note from Alpha Spy Nest explained they’d pressured the scammer into returning it after exposing his identity to the exchange. “He folded fast,” they wrote. “Stay sharp next time.” I never met them, never even learned their real names. But that rainy night, Alpha Spy Nest turned my despair into a second chance. I swore I’d never fall for a scam again and that I’d keep their name close, just in case. whatsApp: +14159714490

#Suphle Rant 2: Michael's obduration
For the uninitiated, Suphle is a PHP framework I built. This is the 2nd installment in my rants on here about it.
Some backstory: A friend and I go back ~5 years. Let's call him Michael. He was CTO of the company we worked at. After his emigration, they seem to have taught him some new stack and he needed somewhere to practise it on. That stack was Spring Boot and Angular. He and his pals convinced product owner at our workplace to rebuild the project (after 2+ years of active development) from scratch using these new techs. One thing led to the other, and I left the place after some months.
Fast forward a year later, dude hits me up to broach an incoming gig he wants us to collab on. Asks where I'm at now, and I reply I took the time off to build Suphle. Told him it's done already and it contains features from Spring, Rust, Nest and Rails; basically, I fixed everything they claimed makes PHP nonviable for enterprise software, added features from those frameworks that would attract a neutral party. Dude didn't even give me audience. I only asked him to look at the repo's readme to see what it does. That's faster than reading the tests (since the docs are still in progress). He stopped responding.
He's only the second person who has contacted me for a gig since I left. Both former colleagues. Both think lowly of PHP, ended up losing my best shot at earning a nickel while away from employed labour. It definitely feels like shooting myself in the foot.
I should take up his offer, get some extra money to stay afloat until Suphle's release. But he's adamant I use Spring. Even though Laravel is the ghetto, I would grudgingly return to it than spend another part of my life fighting to get the most basic functionality up and running without a migraine in Spring. This is a framework without an official documentation. You either have to rely on baeldung or mushroom blogs. Then I have to put up with mongodb (or nosql, in short).
I want to build a project I'm confident and proud about delivering, one certified by automated tests for it, something with an architecture I've studied extensively before arriving at. Somewhere to apply all the research that was brainstormed before this iteration of Suphle was built.
I want autonomy, not to argue over things I'm sure about. He denied me this when we worked together. I may not mind swallowing them for the money, but a return to amateur mode in Spring is something I hope I never get to experience soon
So, I'm wondering: if his reaction reflects the general impression PHP has among developers globally, it means I've built a castle on a sinking ship. If someone who can vouch for me as a professional would prefer not to have anything to do with PHP despite my reassurance it'll be difficult to convince others within and beyond that there could be a more equipped alternative to their staple tool. Reminds me of the time the orchestra played to their deaths while the titanic sank8 -
It started with a gut-wrenching realization. I’d been duped. Months earlier, I’d poured $133,000 into what I thought was a golden opportunity a cryptocurrency investment platform promising astronomical returns. The website was sleek, the testimonials glowed, and the numbers in my account dashboard climbed steadily. I’d watched my Bitcoin grow, or so I thought, until the day I tried to withdraw it. That’s when the excuses began: “Processing delays,” “Additional verification required,” and finally, a demand for a hefty “release fee.” Then, silence. The platform vanished overnight, taking my money with it. I was left staring at a blank screen, my savings gone, and a bitter taste of shame in my mouth.I didn’t know where to turn. The police shrugged cybercrime was a black hole they couldn’t navigate. Friends offered sympathy but no solutions. I spent sleepless nights scouring forums, reading about others who’d lost everything to similar scams. That’s when I stumbled across a thread mentioning a group specializing in crypto recovery. They didn’t promise miracles, but they had a reputation for results. Desperate, I reached out.The first contact was a breath of fresh air. I sent an email explaining my situation dates, transactions, screenshots, everything I could scrape together. Within hours, I got a reply. No fluff, no false hope, just a clear request for more details and a promise to assess my case. I hesitated, wary of another scam, but something about their professionalism nudged me forward. I handed over my evidence: the wallet addresses I’d sent my Bitcoin to, the emails from the fake platform, even the login credentials I’d used before the site disappeared. The process kicked off fast. They explained that scammers often move funds through a web of wallets to obscure their tracks, but Bitcoin’s blockchain leaves a trail if you know how to follow it. That’s where their expertise came in. They had tools and know-how I couldn’t dream of, tracing the flow of my coins across the network. I didn’t understand the technical jargon hash rates, mixing services, cold wallets but I didn’t need to. They kept me in the loop with updates: “We’ve identified the initial transfer,” “The funds split here,” “We’re narrowing down the endpoints.” Hours passed , and I oscillated between hope and dread. Then came the breakthrough. They’d pinpointed where my Bitcoin had landed a cluster of wallets tied to the scammers. Some of it had been cashed out, but a chunk remained intact, sitting in a digital vault the crooks thought was untouchable. I didn’t ask too many questions about that part; I just wanted results. They pressured the right points, leveraging the blockchain evidence to freeze the wallets holding my funds before the scammers could liquidate them. Next morning, I woke up to an email that made my heart skip. “We’ve secured access to a portion of your assets.” Not all of it some had slipped through the cracks but $133,000 worth of Bitcoin, my original investment, was recoverable. They walked me through the final steps: setting up a secure wallet, verifying the transfer, watching the coins land. When I saw the balance tick up on my screen, I sat there, stunned. It was real. My money was back. The ordeal wasn’t painless. I’d lost time, sleep, and a bit of faith in humanity. But the team at Alpha Spy Nest Recovery turned a nightmare into a second chance. I’ll never forget what they did. In a world full of thieves, they were the ones who fought to make things right. Contacts below: WhatsApp: +14159714490

ALPHA SPY NEST RECOVERY // ETH/USDT & BITCOIN RECOVERY EXPERT.
It all started when I woke up one morning to find my crypto wallet drained—every last Bitcoin I’d invested in was gone. Months of careful trading, wiped out in an instant. I’d fallen victim to a slick phishing scam that tricked me into handing over my private keys. Devastated, I thought it was over. That’s when a friend mentioned Alpha Spy Nest, a shadowy group of crypto recovery specialists who’d helped him out of a similar mess.Skeptical but desperate, I reached out. Within hours, a voice on the other end—calm, confident, and anonymous—told me they’d take the case. They called themselves “Nest operatives,” and they didn’t waste time. First, they asked for every detail I could remember: the suspicious email, the fake login page, the moment I realized I’d been had. I handed it all over, expecting nothing but a polite “we’ll try.”What I didn’t know was that Alpha Spy Nest was already on the move. Their team—part hackers, part detectives—dived into the blockchain like bloodhounds. They traced the stolen Bitcoin as it bounced through a dizzying maze of wallets, each one a little more obscure than the last. Most people would’ve given up, but not them. They had tools I’d never heard of, scraping data from dark web forums and piecing together clues like a digital jigsaw puzzle.Days later, they called me back. “We’ve got a lead,” the voice said. They’d tracked the thief to a sloppy exchange account tied to a poorly hidden IP address. The operatives didn’t stop there—they cross-referenced the wallet activity with chatter on underground crypto channels and found the culprit bragging about his haul. With that, they flipped the script. Using a mix of social engineering and what I can only assume was some next-level tech, they baited the thief into moving the funds again—right into a trap wallet Alpha Spy Nest controlled. Few days after I’d lost everything, I got a final message: “Check your account.” There it was—my Bitcoin, back where it belonged, minus a modest fee for their trouble. I never met the team, never even learned their real names. All I knew was that Alpha Spy Nest had turned my nightmare into a miracle, and I’d never click a shady link again.Contacts: WhatsApp: +14159714490

I had always been cautious about where I put my money, but the allure of high returns in the crypto world was something I couldn't ignore. That's how I found myself investing $93,000 into what I thought was a legitimate Bitcoin investment platform. The initial returns were impressive, and I was hooked, seeing my investment grow day by day on the platform's dashboard. But when I tried to withdraw my earnings, the site suddenly became unresponsive, emails went unanswered, and my funds seemed to vanish into thin air. Desperation set in as I realized I'd fallen victim to a scam. I spent sleepless nights researching recovery options, my trust in digital finance shattered. That's when I stumbled upon a forum where others shared similar stories, and one name kept coming up: Alpha Spy Nest. Skeptical but clinging to hope, I reached out.
From our first interaction, the team at Alpha Spy Nest displayed a level of professionalism and empathy I hadn't expected. They listened to my story, asking detailed questions about how I'd interacted with the scam site, transaction details, and any communication I'd had. Their approach was meticulous; they explained how they would trace the blockchain transactions, looking for patterns and anomalies that could lead back to where my crypto was held. The process wasn't quick, but the regular updates from Alpha Spy Nest kept me in the loop. They used advanced blockchain analytics to trace my $93,000 through various addresses, which had been cleverly disguised by the scammers. Weeks passed, and then one day, I received a call - they had managed to locate a significant portion of my funds.
Alpha Spy Nest had traced the transactions to a few exchanges where the scammers had attempted to cash out or move the funds. With their expertise in dealing with such platforms, they coordinated with legal teams and the exchanges themselves to initiate a recovery process. It wasn't all of it, but I was able to recover 85% of my initial investment, which was far more than I had dared to hope for.The relief was overwhelming, but what stood out was the education they provided. Alpha Spy Nest didn't just help recover my funds; they equipped me with knowledge on how to secure my digital assets better. They recommended stronger wallet security measures, the importance of due diligence in investments, and how to spot red flags with platforms too good to be true.In the end, what could have been a devastating financial blow turned into a lesson in resilience and cybersecurity. It was a cold February evening in 2025 when I realized I’d made a terrible mistake. I’d sunk 4 Bitcoin my entire crypto savings into what I thought was a promising investment opportunity I’d found through a flashy ad on X. The platform promised sky-high returns, and the testimonials seemed legit. But weeks passed, my dashboard showed no profits, and when I tried to withdraw, the site locked me out. My 4 BTC, worth a small fortune, was gone. I felt sick. Desperate, I turned to internet forums, posting about my ordeal in a crypto thread. That’s when i saw someone talked about Alpha Spy Nest Recovery, a name I’d never heard before. Skeptical but out of options, I messaged them. Within hours, a rep named Alex responded, asking for details: the site URL, transaction IDs, and screenshots I’d thankfully kept. He warned me it’d be tough, scammers were getting slicker but they’d try. Alpha Spy Nest wasn’t your typical recovery outfit. Alex explained they were a team of ex-hackers and blockchain sleuths who’d turned their skills to hunting down crypto crooks. They used forensic tools to trace my BTC through the blockchain, even as the scammers tried to launder it through mixers. Meanwhile, their web team dug into the fake site, finding it linked to a known scam ring operating out of Eastern Europe. Days later “Good news. We’ve got a lead.” Using a mix of legal pressure and some clever tech I didn’t fully understand, they’d tracked my coins to an exchange where the scammers had slipped up. Alpha Spy Nest coordinated with the exchange to freeze the funds, and after a nerve-wracking verification process, 3.8 BTC minus their fee hit . I stared at my screen, stunned. The relief was overwhelming. Alpha Spy Nest Recovery didn’t just save my money; they restored my faith in fighting back. I never thought I’d see that 4 Bitcoin again, but thanks to their grit and know-how, I did. Rest assured you can also try them out:whatsApp: +14159714490

I Thought My Nest Egg Was Immobile Permanently! Overseas travel is glamorous until you are at 37,000 feet, trying to cope with different time zones, airport security queues, and dodgy Wi-Fi that cannot even open an email, never mind providing your future funding. I had stashed $890,000 of Bitcoin away as my retirement nest egg, a nest egg made of decades of hard work. That sense of security evaporated in thin air when I replaced my phone and forgot to update the two-factor authentication settings on my wallet.
Somewhere across the Atlantic, turbulence rattled the plane, but the real storm was the panic in my chest when I realized that I could not access my wallet. Tired and flustered, I arrived with the dread realization that my virtual fortune was now as out of reach as the stars in the sky. The frustration mounted as I hopscotched from airport to airport. Customer service droids, robot call centers, and half-baked solutions had me addressing vending machines instead of human beings. That was before a layover in Singapore where, bleary-eyed and clutching my third cup of coffee, I chanced upon a travel vlogger's YouTube video raving about Tech Cyber Force Recovery.
With nothing to lose, I called. From the first message itself, it was different. These were actual people, smart, caring, and willing to work around my insane schedule. They scheduled calls during my layovers and adjusted to the chaos of traveling overseas like pros.
Their engineers delved deep into my issue, analyzing time-stamped authentication records. It was as if watching a digital detective movie, minus the stakes: my future. For over 14 hair-on-end days, they weathered the 2FA bug like pilots navigating through turbulence. Then the message came: Access restored. All the Bitcoins were present. I almost cried into my airport ramen. That weight was lifted from my shoulders, and the feeling that all those years of careful planning weren't wasted, was indescribable.

Months earlier, I’d sunk $156,000 into what I thought was a golden opportunity, an online cryptocurrency investment promising sky-high returns. The website was sleek, the testimonials glowing, and the numbers kept climbing. But when I tried to withdraw my profits, the platform froze. Emails went unanswered, support chats died, and my “investment” vanished into the digital ether. I’d been scammed, and the sting of it burned deep.Desperate, I stumbled across Alpha Spy Nest while scouring the web for help. Their site/reviews didn’t promise miracles, just results, specialists in tracking down lost funds from online scams. Skeptical but out of options, I reached out. The process started with a simple form: I detailed the scam, uploaded screenshots of transactions, and shared the wallet addresses I’d sent my crypto to. Within hours, they confirmed they’d take my case. What followed was like watching a high-stakes chess game unfold, though I only saw the moves, not the players. Alpha Spy Nest dove into the blockchain, tracing my funds through a maze of wallets designed to obscure their path. They explained how scammers often use mixers to launder crypto, but certain patterns like timing and wallet clustering, could still betray them. I didn’t understand half of it, but their confidence kept me hopeful. Hours later, they updated me: my money had landed in an exchange account tied to the scam network. They’d identified it through a mix of on-chain analysis and intel from sources I’d never grasp. After 24 hours, i got a message, my funds were frozen in the scammer’s account pending review. Alpha Spy Nest had apparently flagged it just in time. After some back-and-forth, the exchange with the help of Alpha Spy Nest reversed the transactions, and $145,000 of my original $156,000 hit my wallet. The rest, they said, was likely gone forever, siphoned off early. I never met anyone from Alpha Spy Nest, never heard a voice or saw a face. Yet, their methodical precision pulled me back from the brink. My money wasn’t fully restored, but the recovery felt like a win, a lifeline from a faceless ally in a world of digital shadows. I’ve been jumping on techs for a web application I wrote in Next.js and Mongo (mongoose) using Typescript.
The problem- I hate looking at codebase. Partly due to mongoose has a bug which makes type intelisense slow.
Moving forward, I’ve been creating different projects of the backend, in plain node typescript, in nest, in graphql but my inner self wasn’t satisfied.
Last night I deleted all the projects and decided not to change anything and continue working on the garbage code I’ve written a year ago.1 -

It all started when I made an investment in Bitcoin. I had heard so much about the incredible potential of cryptocurrencies, and after doing a little research, I decided to take the plunge. My investment of $72,000 was a significant part of my savings, and I felt a mix of excitement and nervousness. At first, things went smoothly; the market was bullish, and my portfolio grew steadily. But then, disaster struck. One evening, after logging into my account to check the status of my investment, I discovered that all my funds had vanished. My heart sank as I realized my account had been hacked. I immediately tried to contact the platform’s customer support, but my emails went unanswered, and phone calls were never returned. Panic set in as I realized that the $72,000 I had worked so hard to save was now gone, and there seemed to be no way to retrieve it.
In desperation, I started scouring the internet for solutions. That’s when I stumbled across Alpha Spy Nest, a cybersecurity and digital asset recovery firm. Their website promised to help people recover stolen or lost cryptocurrency through their advanced tracking and investigative technologies. Skeptical but hopeful, I reached out to them, detailing the situation and the amount I had lost.Within hours, I received a response from one of their specialists. At first, I was hesitant to share so much personal information, but they assured me that Alpha Spy Nest had a proven track record of helping individuals recover lost assets securely. Their team worked with law enforcement agencies and had connections with blockchain forensic experts who could trace cryptocurrency transactions.
The process was thorough but reassuring. Alpha Spy Nest’s team began by analyzing my wallet and tracing the flow of my funds. They quickly identified a suspicious address that had received the majority of my stolen Bitcoin. From there, they cross-referenced various blockchain records to track the funds’ movement through multiple wallets and exchanges. It was a painstaking process, but their team was relentless.A few weeks later, I received an update: they had successfully located the Bitcoin and identified the individuals behind the theft. Not only had they recovered my $72,000 investment, but they had also managed to freeze the criminals’ accounts, preventing them from liquidating or transferring the funds further.

I had lost all hope after being scammed out of my entire life savings $140,000 USD in a fake USDT investment scheme. It was one of those too good to be true opportunities, I’d stumbled upon through a seemingly professional Telegram channel. The setup was convincing, the returns were promised, and like many others desperate for financial freedom, I fell for it. But when it came time to withdraw my profits, the excuses began. Then silence. My funds were gone. In desperation, I turned to online forums, trying to find others like me or perhaps a way to recover what I had lost. That’s when I encountered so-called recovery experts. One after another, they made promises, asked for upfront payments, and vanished each one compounding the sense of betrayal and despair. I was emotionally drained and ashamed, until one late night, buried deep in a cybersecurity forum thread, I saw a comment about something called the Alpha Spy Nest. The name was odd, but what caught my eye was how other users vouched for them, people who shared stories eerily similar to mine. Cautiously, I reached out. Unlike others, they didn’t make promises; instead, they asked for detailed documentation, transaction IDs, and communication logs. Their methods were technical and calculated, nothing like the flashy guarantees I’d seen before. Over the span of a few Hours, they traced blockchain transactions, uncovered a pattern, and ultimately identified the exit wallets used by the scammers. Through legal partnerships and backchannel coordination with crypto exchanges, Alpha Spy Nest managed to freeze and reclaim a significant portion of the stolen funds. When $120,000 returned to my wallet, I cried for the first time in years not out of sadness, but relief. The Alpha Spy Nest didn’t just recover my money; they restored my faith in justice, and also in the internet, just a little. I made a promise to also let the world know how good and legit Alpha Spy Nest seems by sharing my testimony online. You can also reach out to them.5

It was a crisp autumn morning when I stumbled upon an online investment platform called "CryptoFortune." The website looked professional, with sleek graphics and glowing testimonials from "satisfied users" who claimed to have doubled or even tripled their investments. The platform promised guaranteed returns, low risk, and expert guidance. I was skeptical at first, but the fear of missing out (FOMO) got the better of me. After all, I thought, what if this was my chance to finally achieve financial freedom? I started small, investing $500 in Bitcoin. Within a week, my account showed a 20% profit. Encouraged, I poured more money into the platform—$5,000, $20,000, $50,000 then $100,000. The numbers on my dashboard kept climbing, and I felt like I was on top of the world. But then, one day, I tried to withdraw my earnings. That’s when the nightmare began. The website froze my account, citing "suspicious activity." My emails to customer support went unanswered. Panic set in as I realized I had been scammed. My hard-earned money and my Bitcoin were gone. I felt like a fool for falling for such a scheme, and my faith in online investments was shattered. For weeks, I wallowed in despair, convinced that my money was lost forever. Then, one evening, while scrolling through a cryptocurrency forum, I came across a thread about a company called Alpha Spy Nest. The post detailed how they had helped victims of online scams recover their funds. At first, I was skeptical—after all, I had already been burned once. But something about the testimonials felt genuine. Desperate for a solution, I decided to reach out. From the moment I contacted Alpha Spy Nest, I felt a sense of professionalism and empathy that I hadn’t experienced before. Their team listened to my story patiently, asking detailed questions about the scam and the transactions I had made. They explained their process clearly, using advanced blockchain analysis, cyber forensics, and legal expertise, they would track down the scammers and attempt to recover my funds. The team at Alpha Spy Nest worked tirelessly on my case. They traced the Bitcoin transactions through the blockchain, identifying the wallets the scammers had used. It was like watching detectives unravel a complex web of deceit. They discovered that the scammers had funneled the funds through multiple wallets, attempting to obscure their trail. But Alpha Spy Nest’s technology was one step ahead. Alpha Spy Nest didn’t just recover my money; they gave me a second chance.Today, I’m more vigilant than ever. I’ve learned that while the internet is full of opportunities, it’s also rife with risks. But thanks to Alpha Spy Nest, I know that even if the worst happens, there’s hope. They’re more than just a recovery service—they’re a lifeline for those who have been wronged in the digital world. It is my responsibility to handle our finances at home as my wife courageously serves in the armed forces. I had accrued our Bitcoin reserves discreetly during the past several years to $180,000 via cautious trading, my modest contribution towards our future. It was going to be our nest egg when she came home. But one insane morning, disaster struck. I was juggling breakfast, emails, and a diaper change when our toddler, energized by endless enthusiasm and chaos, hit high speed. In the blink of an eye, his little hands grabbed my coffee cup and hurled it across the room. Hot coffee splashed over my laptop, sizzling as it crept into the keys. I jumped to grab it, but too late. The screen flickered, fizzled, and went black. My stomach plummeted. Worst of all, the backup drive, which I foolishly had sitting alongside it, also received a caffeine bath. Panic set in. That $180,000 was everything I owned. My wife was overseas deployed, so she was out of it at home. How was I supposed to tell her that I had sunk our nest egg in coffee? Desperate for help, I found SPARTAN TECH GROUP RETRIEVAL in a commercial on a parenting podcast. I thought at first it was just another internet craze. With nothing to lose (save everything), I phoned. Much to my surprise, their team responded right away. They were polite, patient, and, above all, judgment-free. They reassured me that toddler-induced tech disasters were more frequent than I was aware. That reassured me somewhat, but I was still sweating bullets. The recovery process was similar to surgery on my financial future. They drilled data off of my soggy hard drive like a pair of brain surgeons. Every day, they'd update me on their progress in plain, non-geeky language, no mysterious technology mumbo-jumbo. That was wonderful, since my own nerves were fried.Seven days later, I received the call. They had recovered my wallet. Every satoshi remained. Relief enveloped me so intensely I came close to weeping. That $180,000, my wife's deployment bonus was included, was secure. I cannot thank SPARTAN TECH GROUP RETRIEVAL sufficiently. They rescued my savings, my pride, and potentially my marriage. I learned my lesson: always back up your backup, and keep your coffee at a distance from your laptop!

i am so fucking conflicted right now. seeing my fiture getting ruined in front of my present eyes. Life always gives me a chance to jump out of a ship that's about to fucking blow , i took it the first time, but this time i missed it for bravery ( and stupidity), and now am sinking alongside this fucking ship
my first job was amazing. decent work, sometimes a lot and sometimes too less. i would learn new things ,interact with people, handle a lot of fuckups . at one point i felt like looking for another opportunity , got one giving 50% hike , so i jumped the ship and sent a resignation letter. the noitice peripd was less, so i enjoyed my days applying to other ships. got even a better offer with 100% hike, so from one boat to another to now a literal cruise.
later i got to know that my original company got bankrupt and fired 85% staff. the next month the company that gave me the first offer layed off 30% staff.
now the waters are tough and my cruise is also getting impacted. but instead of firing, they are asking us to come to the office permanently. their office is in a fucked up place: you need 8$ just to breath the fucking air there. its the city of blood and money. and you will be giving away both things there.
my brain got split into 2 parts after this announcement: my stupid self was still considering this while my sensible self started applying for jobs. my stupid self was thinking that this is a great opportunity to leave my fucking nest of a home , where i am liv8ng woth my parents for last 25 years, and learn to live alone. clean utensils, cook food , wash clothes... i wanted to live the life the harsh way.
but life still took a pity on the fool that j am and gave me an opportunity. an opportunity to work with a big brand who hasn't done any layoffs in their 40+ yrs of existence (but also known for giving shit increments)
the offer was just a 40% hike but it was near my home. i could be in office in 1 hr in less than a dollar a day and still earn more than what am earning now.
plus my notice period is now 60 days , so who knows what other offer i could have got in those 60 days ( when i would keep my profile with a big green "immediately available to hire" circle on me.
however this time i didn't jump the boat. i asked them for a bigger raisez they declined and my stupid self was more than happy.
now the company has started to send mails regarding relocation and yepp the cruise is sinking , atleast for me. if i was savingsx in this company, my savings would become x/8 if i go to that city. in the new offer it would have at worst remained x.
and that's not even half of what's bothering me. i had accepted the money loss in exchange of what that city and my company had to offer : a chance to experience WFO, a chance to live life like a mature man and not a kid in his mom's house ,and a life full of hurdles and strangers.
however i always like to keep an emergency fallback mechanism on me , for if things don't work out. I don't wanna go depressed and cut my wrists there, I don't want people to hurt me so much that I can't recover. i want to run away from that wreched city the moment i start to loose the battles there and the city starts taking over me.
but what the holy fuck? my company's notice period is 60 days, and my rented room's security deposit is 6 fucking months? i will be giving 6 months of deposit + 1 month of brokerage + 1month of rent on the first day i put my steps on that wretched land after travelling in a 100 dollar flight! where am i supposed to get this much money?!
and okay, somehow i manage this. say i did an 11 months agreement, paid the fucking 8 months of rent at one go and simply started living a shitty life there. in month 2 i break down and wanted to implement my escape mechanism. it would go like this : i will suck up and try to live for rent free for next 6 months. but wait, THAT'S NOT FUCKING ALLOWED!! iam supposed to get my security AFTER 11+1 MONTHS!! why not freaking adjust it in my rent?
I can't think straight . 6 months of security deposit has blown my brain. i am regretting anything and everything. I can't think of my roommates situation, home safety, room location, whatever the fucks we think while looking for a room . all i can think is ...WHY SO MUCH MONEY NEEDS TO GO AT ONCE!?
FUCK1
