Posted three years ago. That's the second most upvoted rant in history (Remember, this was a "rant" because the joke/meme category didn't exist back then), it made it's way into the app store screenshots, and was a welcome post.
Now imagine that posted today. It would probably go over okay, in fairness, but it's certainly at risk of any number of pretentious pricks complaining about how this is "devRANT not 4chan" or how they had seen the joke before and it's a shitty repost.
And sure, the repost bullshit is fair. I'm not saying that all the reposts are good content. What I'm saying is devRant has always been full of reposts - they just weren't reposts in the early days. The quality of content is the same.
There's also the common misconception that your posts need to be directly related to tech to post on devRant. This is a myth propagated by 0 IQ heathens that don't read any further than the name of the application. Your posts can be anything that isn't prohibited, like porn, spam, and, importantly, politics (commonly overlooked rule)
"All the memes are just too much". Oh you poor fucking baby, let me pour you a healthy serving of pity juice. First of all, you can turn off the memes category, and while they will still find their way to your feed, the concentration will be much lower and it will once again be bearable for your pitiful, weak little soul. Do you seriously get annoyed that severely by shitty posts that you need to leave the app altogether, or do you just want the attention of being a "cool hipster that hates on xyz"?
"This place is just filled with hate! Why can't you just respect xyz technology, it isn't actually that bad!"
This is probably the most stupid fucking thing you could possibly ejaculate from your fingers into whatever device you are using to type. Welcome to devRant, we hate on shit. That's at our core. No, xyz technology ISN'T actually that bad, you're correct. But we're here to tear it apart because it probably has frustrated us in the past. I fucking hate JS because it was my first language and it confused the shit out of me. JS is a great language. But I still talk shit about it, and that's what we're here to do.
Like seriously, I know a lot of people post stuff they're proud of here, and then they're met with "Would be great if you didn't use xyz tech", and that hurts, but holy shit, this is devRant. If you're sensitive to criticism, or even just straight up being made fun of, don't post shit that you're proud of. You won't have a good time. It's just not what we do here.
Quick interlude before the conclusion, "My girlfriend dumped me after I named a class after her. She felt I treated her like an object." is also on the first page of all-time most popular posts.
In conclusion, devRant has not changed. Reposts have been a nuisance since day 0, and just because reposts look different these days doesn't mean the quality of content has decreased in any manner. The two main sources of your frustration are the volume of low-quality posts (Mind you, not the concentration of them, but the volume of them) and your own prejudices about the platform. You're looking back with rose-tinted glasses.
Here are some tips for a more enjoyable experience:
-Make sure you have the "Hide reposts" setting ENABLED in settings. Any posts marked as repost will be hidden in your feed, pulling down the concentration of low-quality posts.
-Keep to the algo sorting method. Obviously, algo is a bot, and there's still gonna be some shit content in there anyways, but if you're in recent, you are absolutely guaranteed to see low-quality posts. It's unfiltered.
-Keep in mind that what you consider a "quality" post is not what others consider a "quality" post. Just because you don't like memes doesn't mean memes are poor content. There are people here who have never seen the bobby tables comic. And they deserve the same experience we got when discovering dev humor.
-Don't be a prick. And if you cannot help yourself, leave. Ironically, you're making the site worse by complaining about how bad the site is. You can always come back if you aren't a prick anymore. And you can leave permanently if you choose as well.
-Downvote and move on. You're not doing anything but making yourself more aggravated by leaving a shitty comment about how shitty the shitty post is.
-Think critically. Obviously optional, and I know not many people like to use their brain when a phone is suspended between their hands, but if you want a better experience, remember to use your head and not to lose it.22 -

This will be a well-informed rebuttal to the "arrays start at 1 in Lua" complaint. If you have ever said or thought that, I guarantee you will learn a lot from this rant and probably enjoy it quite a bit as well.
Just a tiny bit of background information on me: I have a very intimate understanding of Lua and its c API. I have used this language for years and love it dearly.
[START RANT]
"arrays start at 1 in Lua" is factually incorrect because Lua does not have arrays. From their documentation, section 11.1 ("Arrays"), "We implement arrays in Lua simply by indexing tables with integers."
From chapter 2 of the Lua docs, we know there are only 8 types of data in Lua: nil, boolean, number, string, userdata, function, thread, and table
The only unfamiliar thing here might be userdata. "A userdatum offers a raw memory area with no predefined operations in Lua" (section 26.1). Essentially, it's for the API to interact with Lua scripts. The point is, this isn't a fancy term for array.
The misinformation comes from the table type. Let's first explore, at a low level, what an array is. An array, in programming, is a collection of data items all in a line in memory (The OS may not actually put them in a line, but they act as if they are). In most syntaxes, you access an array element similar to:
array[index]
Let's look at c, so we have some solid reference. "array" would be the name of the array, but what it really does is keep track of the starting location in memory of the array. Memory in computers acts like a number. In a very basic sense, the first sector of your RAM is memory location (referred to as an address) 0. "array" would be, for example, address 543745. This is where your data starts. Arrays can only be made up of one type, this is so that each element in that array is EXACTLY the same size. So, this is how indexing an array works. If you know where your array starts, and you know how large each element is, you can find the 6th element by starting at the start of they array and adding 6 times the size of the data in that array.
Tables are incredibly different. The elements of a table are NOT in a line in memory; they're all over the place depending on when you created them (and a lot of other things). Therefore, an array-style index is useless, because you cannot apply the above formula. In the case of a table, you need to perform a lookup: search through all of the elements in the table to find the right one. In Lua, you can do:
a = {1, 5, 9};
a["hello_world"] = "whatever";
a is a table with the length of 4 (the 4th element is "hello_world" with value "whatever"), but a[4] is nil because even though there are 4 items in the table, it looks for something "named" 4, not the 4th element of the table.
This is the difference between indexing and lookups. But you may say,
"Algo! If I do this:
a = {"first", "second", "third"};
print(a[1]);
...then "first" appears in my console!"
Yes, that's correct, in terms of computer science. Lua, because it is a nice language, makes keys in tables optional by automatically giving them an integer value key. This starts at 1. Why? Lets look at that formula for arrays again:
Given array "arr", size of data type "sz", and index "i", find the desired element ("el"):
el = arr + (sz * i)
This NEEDS to start at 0 and not 1 because otherwise, "sz" would always be added to the start address of the array and the first element would ALWAYS be skipped. But in tables, this is not the case, because tables do not have a defined data type size, and this formula is never used. This is why actual arrays are incredibly performant no matter the size, and the larger a table gets, the slower it is.
That felt good to get off my chest. Yes, Lua could start the auto-key at 0, but that might confuse people into thinking tables are arrays... well, I guess there's no avoiding that either way.13 -

Ended up going one street too far and talking to the wrong front desk. They kindly gave me instructions to get to my destination.
These instructions were also wrong. They left out one step and viola, I'm at the gate of the sheriff dog training facility.
Turn 'er around and finally get on the correct road. My 20 minutes early turned into 10 minutes late, just like that.

A LOT of this article makes me fairly upset. (Second screenshot in comments). Sure, Java is difficult, especially as an introductory language, but fuck me, replace it with ANYTHING OTHER THAN JAVASCRIPT PLEASE. JavaScript is not a good language to learn from - it is cheaty and makes script kiddies, not programmers. Fuck, they went from a strong-typed, verbose language to a shit show where you can turn an integer into a function without so much as a peep from the interpreter.
And fUCK ME WHY NOT PYTHON?? It's a weak typed but dynamic language that FORCES good indentation and actually has ACCESS TO THE FILE SYSTEM instead of just the web APIs that don't let you do SHIT compared to what you SHOULD learn.
OH AND TO PUT THE ICING ON THE CAKE, the article was comparing hello worlds, and they did the whole Java thing right but used ALERT instead of CONSOLE.LOG for JavaScript??? Sure, you can communicate with the user that way too but if you're comparing the languages, write text to the console in both languages, don't write text to the console in Java and use the alert api in JavaScript.

I know it's not done yet but OOOOOH boy I'm proud already.
Writing a JSON parser in Lua and MMMM it can parse arrays! It converts to valid Lua types, respects the different quotation marks, works with nested objects, and even is fault-tolerant to a degree (ignoring most invalid syntax)
Here's the JSON array I wrote to test, the call to my function, and another call to another function I wrote to pretty print the result. You can see the types are correctly parsed, and the indentation shows the nested structure! (You can see the auto-key re-start at 1)
Very proud. Just gotta make it work for key/value objects (curly bracket bois) and I'm golden! (Easier said than done. Also it's 3am so fuck, dude)

I don't like to complain about sites generating revenue. I understand it is important and I even feel morally obligated not to use an adblocker. But all I will say is that the site has sustained itself for a very long time without the use of poor-quality and unrelated ads, and this feels like a lot more of a money grab than something the site actually requires.

It allows you to make advanced cross-platform console applications. It's cross-platform curses, basically.
I spent quite a lot of time on the docs, so you can read all about it there. There's still a lot of stuff to do, but the very foundation is there, and it's everything you need(ish). It can just be a little inconvenient at times without helper functions for drawing, or adding strings, and such.
I'm currently binding it to Lua, which is going to be super fun to use!

Agh, holy shit. devRant, I need some love.
I have successfully double-buffered the Windows console (cmd.exe) but all hell breaks loose when you resize the fucking window. The currently active buffer will receive the change in dimensions while the inactive buffer will not, resulting in the window quickly oscillating between the two sizes as the buffers change size.
That got me stuck for about a day. Today, I got it sort of working but it wasn't satisfying at all. I can get it to resize LARGER, but if you resize the window SMALLER, the actual buffer inside the window doesn't change size, so scrollbars appear and I have NO IDEA HOW TO FIX THAT. I somehow need to calculate, or use the API to find, the perfect dimensions (In rows and columns) for the console buffer INSIDE the window buffer for them to not have scrollbars.

I spent hours finding the solution to this bullshit and ONLY SOLVED HALF MY PROBLEM.
And stack overflow isn't exactly helpful. My problem is so specific that nobody even writes comments on the question.
I guess I need to calculate the amount of characters the screen can hold given the font size and the window size, but fuck, that's a lot of work to do just for something that probably won't even work anyways.
Well, off to the code editor again. Time to inevitably waste my time doing something that won't work.

I vote c++. Manual memory management, multiple inheritance, static compilation, operator overloading, and generally non-human syntax ( Like std::cout << "This is how you print!" << std::endl; ) make it a difficult one to attempt in a day.26 -
Ordered $12 worth of electronic bits and bobs. They came a day ago and tonight I hooked them up to my raspberry pi. Made some lights blink, pressed some buttons. A solid re-introduction to electronics. This time on my own time and not in school, so I don't automatically hate it. I only got a cheap kit so I don't have many toys to play with but I'm excited to get more. Maybe even buy an Arduino. Maybe even make them talk to each other idk. I'm happy.8

The project I have been working on on/ off since Christmas is finally interesting enough to show off!
In short, it's a faux GUI system in the console, with a lot of advanced features that you would see in web browsers and other professional GUI systems.
Most of the core items are now implemented, and it's only time to make it functional in a usability sense.

I feel totally empty inside, it's 3:30 AM, but I got emoji's working in the Linux terminal AND Windows terminal using the same c code.
What you're looking at here is Linux (top left), Windows (starting slightly right of the top left), and the source code for both platforms. It also runs until you press the 'q' key so just displaying an Emoji would be much less code.
It took literally all day of learning about Unicode, Unicode in c, Unicode in ncurses, Unicode in Linux, and Unicode in Windows. But fuck me, I did it.
Only the new Windows Terminal (Preview) renders emoji. The old CMD.exe and powershell.exe will only render what their fonts offer, which isn't much. This got me stuck for a while.

I wrote this and wonder if it is actually useful. This is a function that eliminates the need for document.getElementById. In the HTML you just set an attribute (jsv) to some value and this scoops that up and puts it in the global scope for you to use.

Last night tried to use VLC to rip DVDs for my home media server.

I'm not much a fan of JavaScript. In fact, I am not very fond of any dynamic language, but JavaScript is one of my least favorites.
But this isn't about that. I use NodeJS for all of my web serving. Why would I do that? Am I a masochist? Yes.
But this isn't about that. I use NodeJS because having the same language on client and server side is something that web has never really seen before, not in this scale. Something I really really love with NodeJS is socket connections. There's no JSON parsing, no annoying conversion of data types. You can get network data and use it AS IS. If you transmit over socket using JSON, as soon as that data arrives on the server, it is available to use. It gets me so hard.
JavaScript is built to be single-threaded, and this is rooted deep into the language. NodeJS knows this isn't gonna work. And while there's still no way to multi-thread, they still try their best and allow certain operations (Usually IO) to run async as if you were using ajax.
With modern versions of the language, the server and client side can share scripts! With the inclusion of the import keyword, for the first time I have ever seen, client and server can use the same fucking code. That is mindblowing.
Syntax is still fluffy and data types are still mushy but the ability to use the same language on both sides is respectable. Can't wait for WebASM to go mainstream and open this opportunity up to more languages!10 -

Depends. No one took for the job. VSCode is really good for web and Python. I use Visual Studio for c#, c++ and c. Jetbrains for Java stuff, including Android studio.
When writing SQL I usually use vendor-provided editors like MySQL Workbench. They're the tool made for the job.
Visual Studio Code is my generic editor thanks to it's easy-access terminal. Makes running anything a breeze.
It doesn't feel as snappy as other editors though and installing plugins just for intellisense to work can be annoying, which is why I use other tools for other workflows.
Generally, I avoid things like vim. Sorry, but I have a mouse AND a keyboard. Paid for em both, and I intend to use em. Sometimes I wanna find a setting in a menu and not fuck around with config files after googling what the right setting is called.
I used Sublime for a while, but never really got too into it. It's okay.1 -
It's official. I'm making multiplayer Minesweeper.
There's a Trello board, Discord server, and GitHub repo.
Initial gamemodes will be singleplayer, public (like agar.io) and vs (2+ players, support for teams is planned).
My big idea besides that is to have interesting powerups you can buy or find, adding a component of luck and some exciting new rules to the game.
And I may even put ads on it and try to feed myself.15 -

I have decided to use what I learned to make a math evaluator with a proper lexer and extensible library and stuff like that. Not a full programming language but a nice and advanced math evaluator.

Incredibly drunk last night.
Decided to take the CD/DVD drive out of my old PC (now a server) and put it into my new gaming PC.
Required a partial rebuild because:
1) GPU was too close to PSU to plug in a new SATA power line
2) CPU cooling lines were directly in the way of the space for the DVD/CD bay
3) Had to route the new power cables of course
Incredibly, even though I couldn't stand, I was able to perfectly execute the maintenance on both machines and I'm even using the new PC to write this rant now.

I have a confession. I have always used IDLE because I love it. It's slow, lacks a number of features, and is just all-around outdated.
So today I went and I got rid of it. I tried PyCharm in the past but it was too complicated for Python. I like JetBrain's IDE for Java, but not for Python. Instead, this time, I opted for Spyder. I tend to get quite excited about new IDEs, and I do like this one a fair bit. The editor offers a dark theme but the UI surrounding it does not. This is offensive, but acceptable, for the time being. Here's a screenshot. Any thoughts?

Okay, mine is actually mildly interesting.
I was, at the time, obsessed with operating systems. The only thing I knew how to do (and I only knew how to do it poorly!) was make websites. And thus, Frames(TM) was born.
It was really labored for what it was. The whole thing worked off iframes to create different "Windows" which you could drag around the screen in a typical window-based environment. It had a start menu (Without search - I wasn't that good yet), task bar, background image, the whole 9 yards.
Some highlights from that project:
- Not hosted anywhere. Everything was file:/// protocol
- Originally, everything was statically created, and I learned about document.createElement during this project
- To communicate between the "Operating system" and the different frames, I used localStorage, which was continuously exec'ing anything it could find. Smart smart boi.
- Of course, the only thing available was web storage. The "Hard drive" was about 5MB, and if you cleared browsing data, goodbye everything!
Hours and hours happily dumped into that project, but I am definitely happy it is gone forever. -

RPi 4 is hard to get your hands on it seems.
Really debating buying it though, 4 GB is enticing, but I just don't see a place for it. I have a surplus of machines which are much more powerful and accessible (Display ports - not mini HDMI)
And let's not forget the sub-2GHz clock speed. My desktop goes to 5, and my server isn't far behind. And my laptop isn't far behind that. And my other laptop isn't far behind that. But this new Pi would be far far behind that.
Not to mention the ARM architecture. There have been leaps and bounds made since the Pi first came out in terms of support for ARM (Most certainly fueled by the Android craze) but it still isn't x64, is it?
If I were 13 again and I didn't have all of the toys that I do now, I would be elated at the launch of the Pi 4. But as it stands, I don't see a use for it. Maybe nostalgia.19 -
So something annoying about the bathrooms here is that they are automatic flush only. There's always used toilet paper in the bowl because as soon as you move an INCH to wipe, it flushes. And you can't flush again.10

Just got layout managers done - pretty nice step forwards since now widgets don't need to render their children themselves; they can (and by default DO) delegate the work to a layout manager.
Here are the StackingLayoutManagers, which are the equivalent of WPF StackPanels or just the normal way HTML works. They have different orientations, however, and will soon have different alignments (Start, Middle, and End, which is the same thing as the typical Top, Middle, Bottom, Left, Center, Right, except SME can be used for either horizontal or vertical alignments)
Anyways, enough of my rambling. Here are some screenshots. If you made it this far you earned the knowledge that I plan to make a beastly terminal devRant client using this technology.

A) Everyone watching gaming videos has no career path because they're gaming losers, so this is a good place to recruit people who won't make it to college

I know this is sort of off topic but I think Psychology is pretty great sometimes and while it doesn't explain why we behave the way we do, it does a great job studying it, at least. So to explain why fake news is so rampant and why despite us being in the middle of the technology age, so many are still ignorant, they conducted a study on what makes a source credible. It's a very long and thorough study, so I will like it for you to read, but the gist of it is this: any long text which is too boring to read word for word is automatically taken for truth. Images add credibility. And simply adding a reference - even if it isn't a credible reference or if it's not related to the information at all - will make readers assume truth, and most won't even think to validate the links.

I actually feel accomplished because I'm starting to turn one of my side projects into a real project, even if it isn't popular.
I have a discord bot (exclusive to one server, so more of a discord server) that I have been working on for a while with a couple minigames, like connect 4, crossword, blackjack, etc.
It started off very small, but now I see the project really exploding in size. I have a bona fide testing environment, website with domain and HTTPS with sitemap and everything submitted to google, unit tests, and the scope keeps expanding.
I am continuing to only add value, but have legitimate plans to try and make some income from it if things go smoothly.
Now I just need more than 10 users.2 -

Fuck me, there's not a ton of great resources for Lua. I have the book, and it's actually fucking incredible, but as soon as I have a question which I would usually Google, either it's a SO question that almost hits the mark (but absolutely does not answer my initial question) or a mailing list that DOES answer my question but holy FUCK it's difficult to read!
I 100% recommend the Lua book, though. It's remarkably helpful and covers just about every little detail of the language and it's corresponding c API, and even some of how Lua works behind the scenes.
Non-rant portion:
Finished up the first version of my library and now I'm binding it to Lua and this time around I'm using all the best practices including setting and checking metatables so that Lua can't segfault. It's going great, I properly learned about the Lua stack, and I feel good. Cross-platform double-buffered command line via a scripting language... What a way to enter 2020. Everything went so smooth that I got to 3am before I realized what even happened.1 -
I just got mindustry (which is currently on sale for $3) and it's a great tower defence, resource production, machine builder, tech tree researcher, sort of game! Really really worth the $3 and will probably appeal to a lot of people here.7

- Centralize drawing, eliminate curses entirely besides in this static class.
- Don't worry about complicated rendering until basic rendering is done. I really got stuck up on text rendering last time.
- Sort out a color system from the very beginning, and make it as simple as possible. Working with curses, it is a good idea to have a color manager.
- Research how to logically render two items - both sized to 50% of the screen - when there are an odd amount of pixels available.
- Only make one type of widget at the beginning. Don't worry about Buttons and Sliders and such until the base Widget class is completed.
- Truly decide if I want to call them Widgets or Controls
- Don't worry about supporting multiple curses windows. Got hung up on that too. stdscr will do for everything I need.
- Cache inflation values so that they need not be re-calculated each render. Re-calculate on resize.
- This is more of a c++ thing, but drop pointers in favor of references. It's 2018. I have already started to do this in other projects but THIS IS THE ONE. -
Spent a good minute figuring it out, but ES modules are pretty great. Using Node.JS 13 (and the --no-warnings flag) I can use the exact same file on both client and server. Wonderful!2

Anyone else notice that the error checking in Visual Studio sucks sometimes? I'll see the error pop up in the editor, read what it's complaining about, double check all the code, think for a minute, get confused about it, comment out some stuff - wait no, it wasn't that, uncomment it....
then save the file and it rescans. Boom, error gone. It was just a phantom error wasting my time.3 -
I have a nightmare project that I will probably be ranting about quite a lot in the coming weeks, but I don't want SEO to pick up the specifics on the off chance my peers Google the issues we're facing and my profile comes up.
Let me set up the scene by describing the predicament, and then I'll get to the most outrageous thing I've heard while working at this job. It gives you a CLEAR idea of why we're in this situation in the first place.
Anyways, the nightmare project only runs in IE with compatibility mode set to version 6. So it only runs in IE 6 at the latest.
And it is massive. I'm talking real, real enormous.
The most recent roadblock I ran into while Chrome-ifying it is the extensive use of a browser API that was removed 8 years ago.
It involves synchronous data input and I know for a relatively certain fact there's no way to fix it without combing through every single reference to this API and converting the ones that need sync data (not all of them do) to callbacks. How big of an issue is that?
Well, just one of that 15-ish modules has over 900 references to it. Even just creating a spreadsheet of "commented out / doesn't need a fix / needs fix" for each reference in 1/15th of this project would take days of manual labor.
Here's the rant.
So after discussing this issue in the meeting (we ended on "they don't believe me that we can't just replace it with jQuery") I brought up the next issue. One of our 3rd party libraries is so old it doesn't work anymore and we can't modify that code (it's compiled).
They said that even if it was backwards compatible (no fucking way. This version is like, at least 10 years old, I guarantee it) they can't simply replace it because we don't have a subscription to this product anymore (suggesting we find an alternative).
And I fucking kid you not, this is what happened next.
They then began discussing how this is why you shouldn't use 3rd party code. Because it becomes obsolete and you can't even fix it yourself because it's not yours to edit.
Yes. They said this DIRECTLY after we discussed our 900+ references to a browser API >>REMOVED<< 8 years ago. Yes, they said this about a 3rd party library that receives regular support but is totally FUCKED because we NEVER updated it after adding it and we never even renewed the LICENSE.

So I've had an idea and I know it's a million dollar idea because it's absolutely boring as fuck.
Recently I have been learning about NoSQL and it has gotten me pretty excited about unstructured data.
Now the first thing you should know about me is I like to make business software. I don't like games or social networks or blah blah blah, I like business stuff. One dream I have always had is to make THE business solution. I've noticed so many specific business solutions for very specific areas of work. Specific software for car washes, which is separate from the software for car maintenance, which is separate from the point-of-sales software, which is separate from the [...]
One of the problems with this is the inconsistency. Modular is good, but only if the modules are compatible. They aren't. Training needs to be provided for each individual system since they are all vastly different. And worst of all, since all of these different applications reach their own niche market, they charge out the butt for things that are usually very simple "POST a form over http(s)" machines.
I mean let's not get too dreamy here. My solution is an over-complicated form-builder. But it would be a game-changer for small and medium-sized businesses. Allowing users to build their own front-end and back-end disguised as a drag-and-drop form builder would be THE alternative, because they could bring all of their solutions into a single solution (one bill!) and since THEY are the ones that build what they need, they can have custom business software for the price of a spreadsheet program.
The price difference we could offer would be IMMENSE. Not only would we be able to offer "cookie-cutter" pricing as opposed to "custom" pricing, but since this generic solution could be used for essentially all of their systems, we aren't just decreasing one bill. We're decreasing one bill, and eliminating the rest entirely. We could devastate competition.
"BUT ALGO", you scream in despair, "USERS AREN'T SMART ENOUGH TO DRAG AND DROP FORM PARTS TO MAKE A FORM"
I mean ya true. But you say that like it's a bad thing. For one, we can just offer a huge library of templates. And for another, which is part of the business plan, we can charge people support dollars to help them drag and drop their stupid fucking forms!! Think of the MONEEYYYY YOU COULD MAKEE BY EXPLAINING HOW TO COLLECT FIRST AND LAST NAMEEE. Fuck.
The controls library would be extensible of course. You would be able to download different, more specialized controls if you need them. But the goal would be to satsify those needs with the standard collection of controls (Including interesting ones line barcode scanner and signature input and all that). But if all else fails, maybe someone made an open source control for you to implement and ignore that stupid donation button. We all do.
This could PURGE the world of overpriced and junky specialized business software, and best of all, it's aimed at smaller businesses. With smaller businesses making more profit, they will stay afloat better and may start to compete with their larger foes. Greater for the entire economy.
Anyways, I'm sure it's full of holes. Everything always is. But I still think it's something I'll try before I die.24 -

Creating algorythm block diagrams using a beta version of app that is 15 years old
and is FULL of bugs.
You do not even have conjunction or disjunction
operators, so you have to create more blocks in order to check more complex conditions, for example.
So I asked the teacher if I can solve those tasks
in C++ and the answer was NO ...
