I'm a self-taught 19-year-old programmer. Coding since 10, dropped out of high-school and got fist job at 15.
In the the early days I was extremely passionate, learning SICP, Algorithms, doing Haskell, C/C++, Rust, Assembly, writing toy compilers/interpreters, tweaking Gentoo/Arch. Even got a lambda tattoo on my arm after learning lambda-calculus and church numerals.
My first job - a company which raised $100,000 on kickstarter. The CEO was a dumb millionaire hippie, who was bored with his money, so he wanted to run a company even though he had no idea what he was doing. He used to talk about how he build our product, even tho he had 0 technical knowledge whatsoever. He was on news a few times which was pretty cringeworthy. The company had only 1 programmer (other than me) who was pretty decent.
We shipped the project, but soon we burned through kickstart money and the sales dried off. Instead of trying to aquire customers (or abandoning the project), boss kept looking for investors, which kept us afloat for an extra year.
Eventually the money dried up, and instead of closing gates, boss decreased our paychecks without our knowledge. He also converted us from full-time employees to "contractors" (also without our knowledge) so he wouldn't have to pay taxes for us. My paycheck decreased by 40% by I still stayed.
One day, I was trying to burn a USB drive, and I did "dd of=/dev/sda" instead of sdb, therefore wiping out our development server. They asked me to stay at company, but I turned in my resignation letter the next day (my highest ever post on reddit was in /r/TIFU).
Next, I found a job at a "finance" company. $50k/year as a 18-year-old. CEO was a good-looking smooth-talker who made few million bucks talking old people into giving him their retirement money.
He claimed he changed his ways, and was now trying to help average folks save money. So far I've been here 8 month and I do not see that happening. He forces me to do sketchy shit, that clearly doesn't have clients best interests in mind.
I am the only developer, and I quickly became a back-end and front-end ninja.
I switched the company infrastructure from shitty drag+drop website builder, WordPress and shitty Excel macros into a beautiful custom-written python back-end.
Little did I know, this company doesn't need a real programmer. I don't have clear requirements, I get unrealistic deadlines, and boss is too busy to even communicate what he wants from me.
Eventually I sold my soul. I switched parts of it to WordPress, because I was not given enough time to write custom code properly.
For latest project, I switched from using custom React/Material/Sass to using drag+drop TypeForms for surveys.
I used to be an extremist FLOSS Richard Stallman fanboy, but eventually I traded my morals, dreams and ideals for a paycheck. Hey, $50k is not bad, so maybe I shouldn't be complaining? :(
I got addicted to pot for 2 years. Recently I've gotten arrested, and it is honestly one of the best things that ever happened to me. Before I got arrested, I did some freelancing for a mugshot website. In un-related news, my mugshot dissapeared.
I have been sober for 2 month now, and my brain is finally coming back.
I know average developer hits a wall at around $80k, and then you have to either move into management or have your own business.
After getting sober, I realized that money isn't going to make me happy, and I don't want to manage people. I'm an old-school neck-beard hacker. My true passion is mathematics and physics. I don't want to glue bullshit libraries together.
I want to write real code, trace kernel bugs, optimize compilers. Albeit, I was boring in the wrong generation.
I've started studying real analysis, brushing up differential equations, and now trying to tackle machine learning and Neural Networks, and understanding the juicy math behind gradient descent.
I don't know what my plan is for the future, but I'll figure it out as long as I have my brain. Maybe I will continue making shitty forms and collect paycheck, while studying mathematics. Maybe I will figure out something else.
But I can't just let my brain rot while chasing money and impressing dumb bosses. If I wait until I get rich to do things I love, my brain will be too far gone at that point. I can't just sell myself out. I'm coming back to my roots.
I still feel like after experiencing industry and pot, I'm a shittier developer than I was at age 15. But my passion is slowly coming back.
Any suggestions from wise ol' neckbeards on how to proceed?

FINALLY
GODDAMNED
FIXED
I'VE SPENT OVER A GODDAMN WEEK SWIMMING THROUGH DEMON EXCREMENT WITH A MAGNIFYING GLASS TRYING TO FIND THE SOURCE OF THIS SHIT.
I FINALLY FOUND IT. IN A FUCKING. CONDITIONAL. OVERLOAD. OF A MODEL GETTER.
THAT ABSOLUTE NONSENSE RETURNS EITHER THE REQUESTED COLUMN FROM THE DATABASE, OR AN ENTIRELY FUCKING DIFFERENT COLUMN, ALL DEPENDING ON THE VALUE OF A THIRD FUCKING COLUMN.
HKJSDFASKFJ
TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE.
THE VALUE IT RETURNS. IS COMPLETELY WRONG. FOR ALMOST. EVERY. FUCKING. CASE.
BECAUSE THAT FIRST COLUMN? IT NEVER GETS UPDATED. EVER.
AND THIS DEALS WITH ACCOUNTING AND REAL GODDAMN MONEY.
AARRGHHHHH
WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING?!28 -
>22 year old college student
>Apply for a QA internship
>Interview goes well, they see I have plenty of experience and doubt it's real
>Hard questions are thrown
>Answer them and they admit the position is for manual testing
I honestly don't care I need the money, plus manual testing doesn't usually strain me.
>A week goes by
>A month goes by
>Call them
>...Sorry we were looking for someone with less technical and dev experience.
My fucking face when I don't have a title, still overqualified, fighting with WordPress devs on freelancer.

So a guy wants to start a company with me. He wants to be CEO 👨💼 I'm fine with it but now he also wants me to obey every one of his orders such as attend long unplanned meetings, go do market research, code the app and for what, a mere 5%. He gets a bigger cut of the income because he came up with the idea 💡, he also gets to sit and order me around because he's read a few books on business and economics. People don't seem to understand the difference between having an idea and implementation. I just left and said no to every offer he had the highest of which was 10%, don't be worried about the money he says this is a real opportunity for you. I mean wtf is wrong with some people.13

A few days ago, I had a trashed laptop, lost my wallet with University ID and my debit card, a thesis and a poster not started, and no real content to put on either. I'd need money to get a new univ ID but no debit card. Same ges for buying a laptop. Also homework and shit due. Which required a load of Python.
Fast forward a week.
Laptop on its way, thank PayPal. Got new univ ID. Library loans out laptops. All homeworks done. Even got the replacement fee on my debit card waived by being nice to the customer service person.
I'd like to thank devRant for keeping me sane. And I'd like to say I'm fairly proud of my adulting abilities. They're not stellar, but they're pretty okay.4 -
"You claim you are a developer and don't know what firebase is? Pfft"
Words uttered by one of my classmates flexing on some 4th semester college inmates. I don't know what's more annoying his squeaky voice, the pretentiousness of using headphones as a necklace during class or that I was just like him when I was a freshman (minus the low hanging fruit flexing).
God fucking damn, I'm not even mad at his obnoxious pampered kid semblance, it's the irony of this enlightened fago falling into the god forsaken rat race. Why?
Because he hasn't been magnanimously disappointed by one of the most corrupt systems I've ever been witness of, yeah keep talking about firebase to the teacher who just nods pretending she knows what you are talking about.
I've had this same teacher before and your nice asynchronous ES6 express nosql solution will come last compared to all the WordPress templates she'll approve because they are pretty and all the time you invested, yeah, right into the crapper, seriously it would've been more satisfying to just masturbate everyday until Christmas break. I'm not pissed at him, annoyed by his semblance maybe, but I actually pitty him because the system will take a big shit on his face and he's just smiling.
Damn it, all these careers ruined by lazy ass professors who think leaving a shitload of diagrams as homework counts as teaching. And before any quirky brother interjects with "oh maybe your University is shit", "muh University verry gut u suk", you shut the fuck up! I know my university sucks even tho is "one of the best ones" by the corrupt media's standards, I'm here to vent about issues, real fucking issues happening in real corrupt systems, I'm taking about professors sexually abusing students, not going to classes, no centralized teaching systems, fucking chaos.
I'm happy for you if you feel good about the piece of paper you hang on your wall that certifies you as Bobby the guy who not only learned a shit load about computers, he also bent his ass so far for us and payed us so much money for it, it's funny he thinks himself as smart.
I know, I know, you went to an ivy league college, have a wonderful job and owe some money, good for you, some are not so lucky and I'll make sure those lazy asses who take advantage of the system lose their jobs.
I'm so sick of this shit we call "moodern educashion"

I was working on a website for a client and he wanted an illegal (breaking TOS) functionality and I refused to implement that part so he paid me $800 less than what he owed me. Unfortunately there was no real contract besides some emails detailing the specs and payment, and if I pushed it any further he would've charged back the money he already paid me. Basically I'm screwed :/
I guess now I know how important it is to get those contracts and detailed specs written out from the very beginning.18 -
The reason why hiring a Recruiter in Software/Web Development industry is a waste of time and money.
- A real story from 2 years ago.
**few minutes of recruiter reading my resume, skills and whatnot**
Recruiter: Okay sir, we are looking for people skilled in C# for our app development and Java for our business software envirnoment. Which one are you interested in.
Me: C#.
Recruiter: I see, well.. I'm afraid we already have someone for the seat.. *checks resume again*.. maybe you would be interested in Java?
Me: Not really, why is that if I may ask?
Recruiter: Well, says here you have experience in Javascript
Me: *trying not to cringe* Yes, but I didn't see any Javascript related job available.
Recruiter: Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't "Java" just short for Javascript?
Me: No, just like C# isn't short for C and C++
Recruiter: *oops* then I think we do have a free spot for you.
TL;DR - the guy had guidelines but no field-specific knowledge.. I only feel sorry for the other guy who thought he got the job lol.3 -

Once a CEO is 24*7 a CEO. For me it's Chief Experiment Officer
And only dreamers can have that title. One who dreams at night and work it out the following day.
Having a startup is much more than just having an idea
It's about revenue,
It's about value,
It's about team,
It's about impact,
It's about growth,
It's about compliance,
It's about being finance, marketing, HR and tech expert at the same time.
It's about respect the supporters,
At the end it's about the money you earn as an individual.
For playing all the above roles, you need to dream real big.
To me startup is about falling in love with your work first.

Life as a homeless developer.
I'm a lil brainsick but homelessness makes you that way.
I started writing software as a hedge against an old injury i had from my teen years. I have a unique condition leaving me with limited use of my hand as such any jobs like cashier call center and they like are of limits to me, i can't hold change because my hands don't bend flat, and to much typing is excruciating. Therefore being adev should get the most bang for the buck that I have left. Ive been doing this for 12 years. Well it's all bullshit and unicorns. I can't get a job to save my life. All i get is calls from recruiters wanting a full stack retard. I'm an erlang developer for about 5 years, c# php no i can't do Photoshop or frontend gay as colors because it's a different skillet. Oh but trumpy says we're at the lowest unemployment ever, ya because we're all homeless and companies are still looking for unicorns, they don't exist just like the fake jobs which is the real fake news. In reality if a company wants you its because their dev left and you are to fix their broken shit, which never worked in the first place thus cannot be fixed besides I'm not a plumber. In my opinion many companies nowadays are run by liberal sjw children who don't value your time but want the product now, spoilt. Recruiters are the worst, gimme money because i touched your resume. I'd rather just kill myself than try to appease some fucking retarded children. Its so awesome to live in a tunnel while my skills entropy while i have 160 self published github repos, know many programming languages and be told your have no value. its those same children that dont understand the flow of money or value loyalty, claim we have all these jobs but no skillid employees, so they can bring in more visa overstayers, underpay them and claim record profits, the more you pay forieners my countries money the less there is to go around in the society leading to disenfranchised people like me, and you wonder why there's so many shootings in il. How long can i endure homelessness before i start becoming a criminal? Soon i will have no other option. You employers had a choice but I'm going out with a bang.25 -
I feel I am getting paid for getting trolled (you read that right) - I have had now two completely seperate clients, a month apart - paying me hundreds of dollars for "testing".
I have explained both of them atleast for a total of 8 hours why there's "sandbox" accounts and that the "virtual money" is the same as "real money", so later when you go live, it will be the exact same, just without the need of actually testing with actual money.
I even as a last suggestion asked to atleast be developing with $0.01 transactions (to literally not run out of additional money, because of the different packages), but they wanted it to be as "real" as possible. -
My dev role model is my senior who taught me JavaScript when I was a noob. He was so cool. One of the few real programmers who enjoy their work in a clusterfuck world of idiots who pretend for money.
His philosophy sticks with me even today. I was new to the industry and the long hours of low pay intern work were getting to me. But he kept reminding me that programming still has this cool, engineering side where you blitz stuff out on a keyboard and build awesome shit.
I owe him my career because without him I'd still be one of the other stooges who bitch about the job and avoid studying. But since working with him, I never speak bad about my profession. Programming is a beautiful profession, even if the people I work with are sometimes dumbfuck dicks. And he taught me that distinction.2 -
Fuck startups.
Back when I was an wee lad I interviewed for an startup, not knowing that startups are not real companies. The scumbag interviewer, who was also the owner of the outfit, asked me what I was looking in a company. I said "fair wages, a non-antagonic environment and projects with real roadmaps".
He asked me to elaborate. I said, "You know, if today your product is a sales platform, I do not want to come into work next week and discover it is now an air travel tickets marketplace, or come back the very next day and discover it is now an automated pizza factory, or in the next day and it is now a crypto exchange..."
The scumbag looked PISSED. "Sorry, but we are looking for someone who likes the challenges of a dynamic environment (read: we do not have a business model and we hate the very idea of trying to make money out of our company), and you do not fit the profile"
Startups are not real companies, i.e. they do not systematically charge money in exchange for goods or services in amounts that exceed the cost of providing said goods or services. Most startups are just tax fronts for money laundering schemes. The rest are just playthings for rich assholes who can't get a real output-producing job. Those two categories are not mutually exclusive.
Take Facebook, for example. The poster child of startups. The Zucker that owns it just announced they are setting impossible performance targets on purpose, not even attempting to hide the fact that it is just a way to lay off large quantities of employees without using the words "massive lay offs". Companies, real thin-margin, lots-of-regulation profit-driven companies do not do that. They are not some sort of "capitalist woke", real CEOs just know that if their companies largely miss performance targets on their tenure, purposely or not, next it will be their neck on the chopping block. Because they can be fired if the KPI charts say they suck. But the Zucker cannot be fired, not even after commanding their beanbag and tap beer offices to be heated exclusively by burning hundred dollar bills.
So the Zucker is not interested in performance. Not even in lay offs as expense cutting measures - investors are an infinite source of free money for startups. The Zucker just wants to project power, especially now that engineers are not so confident in the stability of they high-paying jobs.
So are irrelevant 500-souls-or-less self-aggrandizing startups. Their owners are there because it is in vogue to have a startup or ten. And will have that startup pivot to whatever sounds fancy that season. After all, only poor people care about things like EBITDA and profit margins repeatability - A.K.A. "getting more money".
Fuck startups.13 -
Imagine if you will, a fictional world outside our own.
In this world, the requirement for getting a drivers licenses is 4 years of research into quantum mechanics.
- Was it interesting? Yeah.
- Did I learn it because I had to? Yup.
- Will I use the harmonic oscillation calculations of a particle when driving my car. Fuck no!
- Did it cost me an ungodly amount of money? It sure did!
- Will some dumb people still say it was useful because it is the minimum (fictional) barrier to entry for driving a car. You bet your sweet ass they will!!!
It was about as useful as any made up requirement, make-work, self-funding, circle-jerking, waste or time and money to feed the pockets of people who are too scared to do actual work so they teach, can be.
I paid all that money to be taught technology that was old when my mother was in school.
In the first year out of school, with only a $300 subscription to PluralSight some uDemy courses and hard work, I learned 100X as much as everything they put in front of me in school.
-------
School has its place.
Children who don't understand the importance of learning and need their hand help.
Adult children (some of which on on their 3rd or 4th degree) who also need their hand held.
People too afraid to enter the real world.
Doctors.
-------
I would do it again because it is the minimum requirement of entry, but thats nothing more than a bullshit make-work project.
Play their game as long as you need to. Keep your own game in mind. Don't drink the koolaid, just fake a sip. Then when the time is right, play by your own rules.

Coworker: hey can you do this?
Me: sure *couple hours later* it's done.
Coworker several hours later: that thing you did completely changed. Can you update it?
*checks the platform we use so non devs can create web pages* All of my code was erased and I have to restart and add even more functionality. Why the actual fuck would you hire web developers if you're just going to have other employees use a poorly built tool to build pages. Every fucking time something breaks in the shitty fucking app, I have to fix it. Or if it doesn't do some crazy functionality, I have to hack code in there to do it in the ugliest way. Fuck tools like this. Fuck companies who make money off of these tools/use these tools. And fuck the developers who make these shitty tools that give real web developers so much frustration.4 -
when you are a 19yo trying to build a portfolio and you have a mother bashing everyday that you only spend time "at the computer" and I should get "a real job" and that "your dream will never come true" really is the biggest disappointment of my dev life.
It just builds pressure and sads me. She doesn't support me cuz I'm not "doing any money".
I feel like I should just quit everything or even disappear from this shitrock that is called earth....19 -
Hackathon rant.
So I had my first hackathon ever.
It was about co2 reduction which is pretty neat but our team leader had a different view on this. He only saw money in his idea so we build a smart energy meter that advised the user on how he should control his energy. And if the user had solarpanels or something his overtake of energy would be converted into a crypto currency and transferred by our Blockchain system.
The idea is pretty cool but it had no real co2 reduction and way too customer based. Which kinda sucked for my first hackathon but our business guy gave a amazing overwhelming pitch about stuff we didn't make at all. And somehow we ended up on the third place yay

So, I'm a CS student in a third world country. I love coding and I think i'm pretty good at it.
As I'm kind of poor, I'm pretty much constantly looking for any job I can take, and I've already done a dev gig at a software sweatshop here doing mostly PHP, JS and Android/Java... the dev experience was cool, but money was absolute crap ($1.5USD/hour at the current rate, working 9h/day Mon-Sat, did it while in vacation). Better than min wage in my country but still, looking at the numbers I see from programmers all over the world... it was practically working for free. The real problem is almost every dev job here is similar, so I was looking into going remote but every opportunity I see is for seniors/people with 2-3 years experience or more.
Can you give me some tips on getting a remote job as a student/recent grad with little experience? What would you do in my position? Any input is greatly appreciated!17 -
This is the last straw. I am so done with Chrome.
…
I woke up AGAIN this morning to my MacBook shining away brightly, having not gone to sleep the ENTIRE night. I did some better research this time and discovered it's actually Chrome that is causing this.
Yes Chrome is deciding whether my MacBook goes to sleep or not.
I am not ok with this. Worse, it doesn't even have any ability to change this behavior. It's basically a hidden "feature" of Chrome: it wastes your hydro too!
This is not the first time this has happened either. Last time my MacBook wasn't properly plugged in and it completely drained the battery, shutting it right off. I ranted about that already.
But I am just SO fucking livid about this right now. What on EARTH is going through google's mind that they think this is in any way even REMOTELY acceptable?
I've already filed a bug report but I think this is the last straw. I am just sick to death of Chrome. This bug is literally costing me money and damaging my property.
Shove it right up your fucking ass, Google. Right up there and twist it around.
I'm switching back to a real browser.

I don’t have a real way to find a good company.
As a rule of thumb I avoid startups.
This doesn’t mean all new young tech companies are bad. I avoid the startup rethorics. Those are 🚩 for both new and old companies.
And I avoid crypto, nft and other scam businesses. There’s an high chance that the owners will run away with the money and leave you without a job.6 -
I've been working in a company for two tears, builsing it from ground up as a CTO with a CEO and COO. Two years in, with 60 people on board I was managing a project which was bringing serious profit into the company, and they decided to cut me off. Reason: they don't trust me anymore, real reason: CEO wanted more money for himself and less money control from me and the other guy.
Turned out fine as it made me start my own business.1 -
I'm so fucking upset with this shitty iPhone. I can't believe there are people who are actually *paying* real money for this crap. Thankfully I am getting paid to use one, otherwise I would flush it in the toilet (but then even the toilet would reject it).9

Web3 truly is a fucked up space. All of the fuckertry happening over here is out of control. Literally a dystopian shithole of scams frauds crimes theft and ponzi schemes.... As much as i try to defend web3 since im a web3 dev it's getting real fuckin hard. The more i work in this space the more i understand economics and how all of this shitshow flows.
Without diving into details, I'll tell you right now from a very deep economic perspective: i realized that all of these cryptos are just.. shams, quasi buzz words to keep the "investors" giving them money. Essentially like wolf of wallstreet scams mixed with bernard madoff multi billion dollar ponzi schemes. The "investors" earn a lot of money.... But on paper! As unrealized gains. And by the time they are able to withdraw their money, that money becomes worthless because of insufficient liquidity in the pool that has been drained from top to bottom of the pyramid. So the only person truly getting filty rich is the one on top of this pyramid - the founders!
After the FTX disaster that happened 2 days ago the prices of ALL coins dropped drastically and it isnt stopping. So much for your glorified "decentralization" 😹😹😹😹😹
How can something be decentralized if its enough for 1 influential man to tweet some shit and the company/token price value drops or increases within minutes? In this case the whole of crypto got sliced by 1 influential man... Again. It's only a matter of time until someone else goes bankrupt and cycle repeats... Again.8 -
I should be saving money as a student. Wait, let me just buy that domain name real quick for my new project first.3

i HATE snake oil idiot types
red flags:
- "interested" in tech but have no programming experience or knowledge, no real work experience
- they claim they can provide assistance and guidance to people in machine learning!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂
- private instagram, weird
- spent all their money on their instagram profile picture, looks like those dumb finance gurus with a lambo
- is, in reality, unemployed
what value do you provide to society?
really its just people who are good at talking and can convince other people of equal or lower (not higher) intelligence but not really can't DO anything
and they wonder why so many companies fail
what a fucking joke i hate you
its really not just annoying its immoral - and thats the part i despise so much
grow up, put in some work, and be valuable to society5 -
Nobody in my family understand what I do for a living. My dad's reaction was; "that's not a real job". He's a craftsman/painter. But that's okay, I make more money then him 😊💵

AAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!
BLOODY FUCK TURD BORN FROM THE BACTERIA OF YOUR MOTHER'S POOP, BRAINLESS WHORE
. JUST ONE SECOND OF YOUR NON EXISTENCE WILL CHANGE THE WORLD FOR ME.
Well this is what I would say to my brain deficient friends who think I don't have a life and sit at the computer all day playing GAMES and that I should get away from my computer and learn to PLAY with them in real life
BITCHES DON'T EVEN UNDERSTAND HOW IT IS TO WORK YOURSELF A LIVING, ALL THEY KNOW IS THROW MONEY AND GET THEIR DICKS SUCKED OFF. FUUUUUCCK!! AND DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE GAMES PART. ALL THESE PUNY FUCKS CAN DO IS TO POST POUT FACES FILLED WITH DOG FAECES AND CRY ABOUT THEIR LOST LIKES.5 -
I really don't get all the Musk fans. I mean, sure you can find some value in Tesla or SpaceX, sure you can think theses companies are truly innovating. But why give all the credit to the rich businessman who seems to spent more time promoting himself than really working on science stuff, and not to all the ingeneers and creatives who are really putting some hard work on every day ? All Musk is really doing is running a business. He seems to do that pretty well, agreed, but after all it's "just" that: business. He's not the genius, nor the creative. He has money and invests it well, that's all.
I don't get why so many people give all the credit to him, even here on devrant where it should be logical to find more people supporting the real brains behind the tech.
"He has a vision about the future, he's imaginative..."
- Well that's bullshit.
Once again: he has money, a lot, and a certain skill about how to invest it (and about doing some proper marketing too), which companies to buy, etc. That don't make him such a great visionary about the future of the human being, just a great businessman. I'm sure you can find millions of people around the world with better ideas about the future, but they're not in his position. They're not rich, they're not CEOs, they're mostly unknown.
Stop follow the stream by glorifying businessmen just because medias are talking lot about them. Instead, know where the real talent (and work) is. Give credit to Musk employees, not to him.54 -
I didnt thought I have to write this down, but you people dont get standard business logic, so here advice from someone who knows that shit:
- If you wanna get paid, make your own contract and let a lawyer look over it.
- always have a lawyer on retainer and enough money for him/her.
- nothing is real without a signature.
- your clients should know that you're gonna sue them if they don't pay.
- don't go easy on anyone, here an easy way to decide if you should sue:
Didnt pay? Sue.
Breaks contract? Sue
Asks for later payment? Dont
- always code in a killswitch, trust me you're gonna need it.8 -
Dear game developers of mobile games,
Please stop making EVERY FUCKING GAME dependent on having coins AND gems that you have to pay REAL MONEY for to oftentimes even keep playing! Or worse still you are kept at a basic level if you refuse to spend!
It’s boring, annoying, and your game is not worth spending like $100 on before getting bored and moving on.
And don’t get me started on ads!!
FUCK RIGHT OFF!!!12 -
Linux update! After spending the weekend installing and configuring Ubuntu, I decided I instead wanted ElementaryOS. I then proceeded to install that in an hour and 45 minutes. -_-
Anyway, I'm pleased with the result, and hopefully this will be good enough that I make the switch for real by buying a non-apple computer when I have the money--and urgent enough need--for an upgrade.

According to my doctor and chiropracter I'm burned out right now.
But I'm not ready to throw in the towel just yet. But my concentration and productivty have been gone for a few weeks now.
I mainly work alone and I'm currently trying to complete 4 projects. But I just can't seem to get it done anymore.
I know that when I'm in my peak I would only need 2 weeks for it. But I have been trying for 2.5 months know and getting nowhere.
Not really where the problem originated but probably with the ever changing specs and my main client that hasn't paid in 5 months. But he accounts for 80% of my profits, but the internal politics of the coperate stuff is making stuff hard.
Not really sure how to go from here yet, need to finish this but can't focus. Can't hire someone since my reseveres are gone and I can't take a holiday and relax because of the money and the voice in my head that says you have to get this done.
But the feeling of wanting to work but not getting anything done, like walking into a mental wall. Makes me wanne run into a real wall head first. Stupid body listen to reason so we can go on a holiday and relax!3 -
First time going to college was my first time commiting for real becoming a dev. But with my close minded brain. I believe i only want to became a backend. So here is my story of me getting mad to monitor.
First year i got 24" Monitor. "Shit this is so unproductive, a need a new workspace to place my debugger".
Got another 24" Monitor. "ahh better" -- later on got a Web Developing Class. "Fuck i need moar workspace, i need to see a live reload and a debugger !"
Got a 27" Monitor. "FUCK, there is no way to plug this monitor"
Got No-Brainer-Fast-Bought 1060 3GB. "Finally !". Hmm "this one bigger monitor seems odd, i need to change this to become even"
Got another 2x27" Instead of 1x24" To replace 27". "Why the hell am i wasting money?".
...
...
...Maybe gamble poker when working is nice...
...
...
Got another 27".

So after 7years of sound engineering, I started working as an intern in a startup company which does "anything" for money.
( Sending me to a seminar for taking photos of our customers is also in the list. )
Yesterday, I managed to grasp the basics of node and web sockets to build a simple chat app in order to satisfy boss' needs for a small website. He wanted to add it as a feature and assigned it to me as a task but it turns out nobody has any idea about putting it online. Seems like I still have lot to do.
Thing is, this is my 3rd month and I already started making no sense to anyone when I try to exchange information about coding/programming and latest technologies which we should encountered long ago. I am happy to experience and learn different things but I am feeling really alone.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for boosting me with amazing real life experiences and supporting my career changing decision even without knowing.
Have fun ranting!1 -
My internet provider is a real thief, they doubled the price but the quality became catastrophic, today all the day the internet was down and tye signal quality is very poor..
When I decided to change the provider, I drove to his sales service, and it appears that he changed the location. so I came back to home and I was very angry. I drove very fast and I break the speed limit, received an SMS with money fuckening charge.
great !!

Missed some of you. A lot of you really.
Anything exciting happen while I was gone?
I heard some of you formed a mob, dragged a spammer out behind the wood shed and beat em bloody.
Sad to say I missed that.
I'm currently eeking by financially, but got my plans for the fall winter and spring. Gym membership, rock climbing, prepping for a 5k. Weathers perfect for all of it.
I'm in a competition right now for some serious prize money and in the lead.
Enough to start that AI lab and finish my game.
Also, not everything is sunshine and roses. I sleep 3-6 hours a night average, (5-6 if I'm lucky), and horrible mood swings, with or without sleep. And isolation, damn the isolation is terrible, but my schedule is so hectic I basically have no room for any real-world contacts. I can barely make time for myself, let alone my family.
But I'm still writing poetry and music at least, and got my eye on some land for a cabin or other uses like for an office.
Whats going good/bad in your life?
I haven't heard from so many of you for so long.11 -
Yesterday all management was sick or away on vacation or training.
All work continued as normal. Everyone is an adult and knows what to do.
Made me question if we actually need to have soooo many people in management positions.
Funny to think that they get paid more.
Ironically when a developer is sick, real money is lost and progress stops in a particular area.

“You know what is not fungible, scarce and valuable to me? My time! So if you wish to persuade me NFT are a good thing, you should pay me a fair amount of real money to make me listen your bullshit”
From now on this will be my standard reply to NFT harassment.
Feel free to use, edit and share with others.4 -
I can't begin to know where to start. I once worked with a lady that was annoyed by me for stretching and began to start nagging at me for it. I promptly explained to her that hearing her complaints annoyed me as well and that I stretched and yawned because my work made me sleepy due to the fact that I had to listen to her relentless and incessant nagging.
I currently work with a "graphic designer" of 25 years experience who had no idea that color picker tools were an actual thing in real life. He's been eyeballing our brand colors for years. SMH... We collectively refer to him as Captain Colorpicker now.
This same guy had never used a credit or debit card in his entire life to purchase a meal at a restaurant.
I worked with a micromanager that constantly reminded me daily of the hierarchy for decision making in the company and where you stood firmly under her thumb. That is until she conveniently wanted shy away from a tough decision. Then it was all on me.
She was the marketing director and every single one of these stupid titles:

I am in a company as a shareholder with a partner who threatened to take away my shares on several occasions when I don't agree with him. At the time our company was in debt, capital accounts were low, and we were hemorrhaging money to keep afloat. The dumbass tried to offer me $200 per share to "buy me out." The company was $5,000 in the hole and my shares were worth around -$11 each. He never had that much money. -
i've got my first job after getting out of college. not a great package. I'm learning more, will get experience. i have plans for freelancing and seek a better job. I'm an Indian.
what really upsets me is that I just discovered that I've no knowledge in finance. I'm feeling insecure, afraid and depressed. I'm browsing for some youtube channels, books and podcasts to get some some knowledge about finance and real estate.
all I have is a saving account in SBI bank, I just know how to take money out of it with my debit card and transfer money with online banking
how do u guys do ur finance, where do u invest. do u invest in stock market. insurance?? help me out. i'm fucked.
never thought i can be so stupid, I hate myself, never even thought I'll need financial intelligence.
are there more people like me.
i'm just so down and feeling suicidal.8 -
First off murphy is a bitch. Week started off good, nothing bad happening then friday night came and i get an email about a site being down. Ok check it out real quick, cert is expired. No real big deal just a 20 minute fix, didn't bother me that i didn't get an expiry alert. Now is where murphy decided to be the biggest fucking bucktoothed cocksucker, generate a csr for a wildcard domain using an existing key and sent it off when i get it back the private key doesn't match the cert. Again ok maybe i fucked up, generate a selfsigned cert no fucking problem. Contact support to see if they have an idea. Oh now is when it gets fun, the fucking dumbass preceded to tell me how i didn't know what i was doing and how i just had to generate a csr and private key at the same time after i explained to the bastard that I've already tested it with a selfsigned cert. (How does this fucker have a job) By now apparently i was pissed off enough to scare murphy's pansy ass away cause i told the fucker to refund my money, got a list of 30 subdomains and setup letsencrypt on it. Now the part on this that is fucking hilarious is that it took me damn near 24 hours to be called a fucking idiot from a guy that doesn't know his ass between a hole in the fucking ground and 30 minutes of being pissed off more than i have been since i took anger management classes in the 9th grade to say fuck it and switch.7

I feel like I beat "the man"
Dunno if any of you guys have picked up on this, but the Microsoft Docs (for asp.net) are basically one big fucking jumbotron advertisement for IdentityServer
The very same IdentityServer who dropped their free, open-source project and turned into an -aaS
It really seems like MS is frothing at the fucking mouth to have you use IdentityServer and offers no real alternatives whatsoever besides something like Facebook or Twitter login.
But I did my studies
Read my articles
And implemented proper Jwt tokens with rolling refresh tokens.
Simpler, more efficient, and compromises nothing. And I didn't pass my money off to some company to do it for me.
Fuck you, Microsoft, and the IdentityHorse you were paid to ride in on.7 -

What is it with devs who try to bloody "cost optimise" everything to within an inch of its life when there's no reason to do so?! This ain't your personal pocket money project here. This is a real commercial app with real consequences.
Seriously, saving £100 a month might seem like a lot to you, but this is a multi million pound project we're talking about. That's bloody nothing, and no-one will care. If a Fargate spot instance restarts at the wrong time and causes downtime though, or if we need logs going back a week, and don't have them because the log retention period is a few days, then everyone will be royally pissed. All because you thought "it should be ok", or it "seemed like the right thing to do". Sod off.4 -
Imagine going on quora and answering somebodies carbon offsetting question by pushing your own stupid fucking agenda with propaganda answers like
"oh we need rainforest money!"
"oh we need grassland!"
"oh support the cows"
jesus fucking christ, THIS is why we have a problem with people not accepting climate change, becuase every fucking liberal wants to pile on one another and have their 'most important' cause behind it
give me a break you fucking idiots, it won't be solved by acting this way
sorry this is in no way software related, but it's the only place left i have to rant (however in some ways it is somehow software related, due to being able to think about the real world without being an absolute idiot and pushing some stupid peer pressured political idea because your social identity and friends are more important than actual facts, but whatever)12 -
So new job started.
Just for context- old company was shit.
Promised the world but.
No benefits.
Terrible project management.
High pressure.
But green field interesting work (except by now it’s a few years in so it’s a ‘browning’ field but I was on it from the start).
New company first impressions..
Seems a fantastic company.
True to their word they have money for tools.
Making time for personal development.
Much bigger development community/department.
Seems like the term are under far less pressure so far at least.
But a MASSIVE amount of tech debt.
People seem to want to do the right thing and they’re making time to try and deal with it.
But one or two are very opinionated as to how to deal with it.
So this could go either way and only time will tell I guess.
Trying not to over analyse every little thing they say but I’m hyper sensitive to it at the minute while in the early days.
As always the real challenge in IT is the people not the tech. I count myself as part of the problem, sure I will form some opinions and sharing them too.3 -
I was flash developer once, it was great when macromedia was around, then adobe acquired them, now flash is gone.
Years are passing and most of industry is the same as always. Trying to drag you into this rat race of learning new amazing technologies, amazing projects that are actually doing same job as 50 years ago but using more memory and cpu cycles. Because all has it’s roots in algorithms from previous centuries.
So youngsters loose your best life time, be innovative by doing nothing more then copy paste from stackoverflow and duck typing shitty code.
Be a slave and sit in the amazing office, that has everything but not your real life that meanwhile is sucked by corporate squeezer till your last breath.
Be piece of shit that can be kicked around.
Watch youtube, facebook, instagram or whatever social network that shows you pictures that are fooling your mind that you’re someone special and you need this stuff.
Then be ready to suck some dicks to earn money and buy stuff you don’t need, live where you don’t want and do what you don’t like. You piece of shit.
Well that’s what disappoints me from my tech stack.
Now chill out, turn off your electronic gadgets, go out and enjoy real world.1 -
Why the heck is Office so incompatible with everything??? They have their own proprietary standards for Word, Powerpoint and Excel and then implement them WRONG. WTF?
And don't get me started on Outlook: MSG files are the worst horsecrap ever, why can't you use EML like a normal mail application? Not to mention the complete incompatibility with CSS in mails. Nooooo you have to design everything with tables and images like we are still in the 90s. WHAT YEAR IS IT? Everytime i have to work with this boolshit i can feel sweaty Steve Ballmer scream "DEVELOPERS!!!" right in my fuckin' face.
The real cherry on top is their permanent advertisement being shoved up your ass. The stuff is all over the place! When you register a new mail account via IMAP they open Edge and prompt you to give them your phone number so they can send you a download link to their stupid Outlook app. I could understand that if the Office suite would be free... but it isn't! I effectively pay a shitton of money to see ads.
Why is everyone still using these applications?2 -
Guys, what the fuck.
Today i was doing some consistancy checks accross the board after update made for one of our core systems that manages money. Yeah, real, live money.
I have hidden from public payment processor with simple API etc. So one of my checks, gate has same balances as gate's internal account on core blinked red. Okay well, fuck, thats really really shitty situation to be in. I guess my gate is fucked up some way.
Okay, debug mode on, maintainence mode on, quick look at DB, oh shit, client payed 4 times 15k eur without any txn on core system... SHIT! postman... Fuck, postman ofc wont start, quick google, fixing postman, tention in me grows, becouse its really rough and tough fuckup on my side, and got call. That moment when you know someone already knows is for me apogeum of stress that just skyrocketed from calm morning to mad morning.. Okay, i pick up phone, and I hear that one client payed (using core system app) and got strange message, YES I KNOW, im working on it.. Wait, you say that core system gave them odd message??? I will check it out. Finally fixed postman, 3 requests and I know its bug on core system.
Why, why in the motherfucking blody world anyone would push critically bugged update to system that just sends api callbacks "yes, he payed" when someone didnt pay...
Fuck im stressed and pissed, but at same time reliefed its not my personal fuckup (yeah, I solo wrote that gate, but externally audited code and all they had to say that some cosmetic linting should be done)2 -
So the last 2 devs who I really looked up to and respected at my company peaced out within the last 2 months. So I began seriously chasing offers while the market was hot. The new bigwigs that were brought in at the company knew I was one of the biggest flight risks, so they threw more money at me without me asking for it.
I just got an offer from a company that I really like that matched the salary that I was bumped to - to them it exceeds my expectations because they did not know about this preemptive bump.
Best part is, I applied to this company on my own, the old fashioned way. No recruiter as my hype person or negotiator. I made a good impression on them myself.
No, wait, the real best part - they offered me a senior level role after seeing my code in a day-long working interview (virtual of course). I mean I had to do some shit with RabbitMQ, which I had heard about and seen in passing, but never worked with before, which to my own surprise, I got working in a matter of a few hours. Blows my mind that someone outside of my old company actually thinks I'm good.
No, wait, the REAL real best part: I've spent the last 4 years - a large majority of my professional career - at my current company. I experienced a lot of growth, but they shoehorned me into a development manager role, which bummed me out as i found myself getting farther and farther away from the code. I'm so excited to get a fresh start and go back to spotify + code for 10 hours a day. -
Money.
I wish I had a more philosophical answer like building cool shit, but this is real life, so I've made it as a dev when I make at least ₹20 lakh per year.9 -

How to earn a lot of money as a programmer?
So this question might sound a little naive and too simple, but earning a lot of money is what we all want after all right? Collecting experiences from people in the business should be a good idea.
So this is the position I am in:
I am a German student in my 13th year of school (which means I will graduate this summer) and I am very interested in information technology. I know C++ pretty well by now and I have built a rendering engine for a game I want to make using openGL already, which I am very proud of.
I would love to turn this passion into my profession and thats why I plan to attend a dual course of computer science next year (dual means that I will be employed at a company (or similar) in parallel to the studying course).
But what direction should I be going in if I want to make big money later on? I am ready to spend a lot of time and work on this life project but I don't know which directions are the most promising. I hate being a tiny gear in a huge machine that just has to keep spinning to keep the machine alive, I want to be part of a real project (like most people probably) and possibly sell a product (because I think that is how you really make money).
Now I know there is no magic answer to this, but I bet many people here have made experiences they can share and this could help a lot of people directing their path in a more success oriented way.
I personally am especially interested in fields which are relatively low-level and close to memory (C++), go hand in hand with physics and 3D simulation and are somewhat creative and allow new solutions. (These are no hard lines, I just thought I should give a little direction to what I know already and what I am interested in)
But really, I am interested in any work you are likely to earn a lot of money with.12 -
OK...so not to long ago some guy I know from my old school contacted me regarding a start-up he was planing on doing...first he wanted me to work for free (which, in retrospect should've been the first warning sign) and then offered me shares of his non-existing company as payment. I didn't want that so I told him that I'll only work for real money. After some discussions he agreed (tho for less money than I demanded) and I started investing more time into the project (talking to him and his partner about what they expect, looking into some libraries and evaluating whether they can be used in the project or not...stuff like that). Some weeks later (some days before I would sign the contract) he calls me and tells me that he had found someone else to do it who would accept shares as payment...fuck that fucking self-righteous prick and his fucking start-up...the idea was stupid anyways...

FUCK Banks
Fuck Banks and fuck online Banking
Fuck you for not supporting real 2FA
Fuck you for having such shitty bloated bullshit Websites and online services
Fuck you for taking forever to transfer money
Fuck you for not having public APIs Fuck you for so many uncountable reasons.
And most of all Fuck you for constantly trying to fuck me. I FUCKING HATE BANKS SO FUCKING MUCH.
I hope so much that there'll be a decentralised uncontrollable anonymous and digital currency in the future. Something like Cryptos (like BTC or ETH) but without all the major Problems they have now.
I wish there was a hell Banks could go to. I want to see them burn and suffer so fucking much not even the worst medieval torture methods are enough to satisfy me.39 -
after few months of working in the company, I was offered to trade off my weekends in exchange for increase of salary. I said hell no, I would go crazy.
winter holidays we had removed... thankfully for money increase.
all next holidays were often just removed... without money increase.
next week is going to be official week of holidays. all in our country are going to have paid days off / vacation. It was declared by our president. 2 days of holidays were extended to 5 due to COVID break.
I wonder, how hard it would be for us to get those days as vacation %
we would have to ask for VACATION days in OFFICIAL HOLIDAY DAYS!. Hell, we had never had real vacation yet, and we are just wishing to have official holiday days remaining being holidays.
Urgh. I understand that I get pretty good salary for my first work, but still wishing quite a lot for holidays, should I press for it? *sigh*
on another hand I don't really want salary decrease, which can come if I would press for it *sad face*.7 -
Hello everyone :)
I left a job a while ago (8 month maybe a little more), before me alot of the team left, and the lasts ones left after me.
They hired back an ex teammate from years ago (he actually started the POC), but he doesn't do php so much and don't know symfony and he's alone. I'm not either (i don't like php), i was doing python and admin sys for them, but i saw the project going/evolving for two years, so i can help them.
They contacted me a week ago, asking me some help. I said yes, (because i believed in the company and i'm too nice i guess), so i spend two days making a new script to setup the environment and serveur and also had to do some package update on the project (late shit with pear php apparently).
I don't have any way to make a bill, i don't own any company. So I'm not sure what i should ask for money, and if i should keep helping them.
(it has been my first serious real job, and i put some money in the company that i took back).
Should i keep helping for nothing even if it's only few hours the month or should i change this situation fast?! (already worked 20h for them, and the boss a nice guy)
Thanks devRant3 -
Dev walks in carrying a 2-liter bottle of Mt. Dew..
Dev: “Check it out, I forgot to bring my Mr. Dew from home, so I stopped at the gas station to up a bottle and they wanted $1.50, but they had 2-liters for $1.89. Much better deal. I’m all about saving money”
Me: “Um, $1.89 for a 2-liter isn’t a deal. Last week I bought several 2-liters for 69 cents each.”
Dev: “Pfftt…for the fake stuff. I want real Mt. Dew.”
Me: “Hy-Vee has all their Pepsi products on sale for 69 cents. How much do you pay for those 16oz bottles?”
Dev: "Only around $5 for a 6-pack. It's a much better deal when I buy in bulk."
Me: "I can buy 6 bottles of 2-liters cheaper than you buy a 6 pack of 16oz bottles. Buying a 6 pack at a time isn't buying in bulk."
Dev: "I hate 2-liter bottles. It goes flat before I drink it all and the soda tastes different."
Other Dev: "Um..what's that on your desk?"
- laughter all around -
Dev: "You -bleep-holes."1 -
Dear BOSE, how can you make a "smart" speaker so dumb and complicated? Why require to use an app that needs frequent updates and takes up so much storage space for ... what exactly?
Dear Spotify, why not add features to the web player if your app does not run on older devices? Which native feature would your app need that is missing on iOS 13?
Dear companies making money due to the fact that some real artists make real music that real people love to listen to, how come your apps and gadgets always make me nostalgic about actual records and make me tune in to an actual radio station at the end of the day? At least you keep showing us not to rely on digital technology and rather go visit actual live concerts to listen to live music in the real world more often!2 -

A 20-Something: “Hey, why aren’t you dressing up on spirit week decades dress theme days in the office this week?”
“Because I lived in all those decades and my childhood is not a costume.”
“Okaaaay…”
“Because when we dressed up for spirit week in high school we nerdy kids would always get made fun of by the jocks and cheerleaders because we didn’t get the memo that spirit week was only for the cool kids. I have trauma I’m still working through because of that.”
“Geez, I…”
“Look, I got rid of all that shit years ago. Now I’m supposed to go to a thrift store and spend money I earned here for real world needs on 4 new sets of clothes I will wear one time each? That’s literally my gas money to get to this office in an inflated economy. No.”
Me. In my head. Coming up with things to explain myself when I show up at the office dressed like it’s a regular day.1 -
I just started but I'm already tired.
For some years I have worked in the industry, not a lot, I know right but I really wonder how do you deal with all "not code-related" bullshit.
IT should be a dynamic field but somehow it is stuck inside the business logic which is all about the money and that does not take care of the real matter which is "code engineering".
- Most of the projects I have seen are an utter mess.
- No real structure
- Code is literally thrown somewhere to make stuff works and fix bugs
- Features which should require X amount of time are planned and shipped earlier ignoring best practices.
- The customer changes idea every week
- Nobody wants to pay for a reasonable architecture but prefer to keep financing un-maintainable projects that only God knows where they have been made (presumably in Hell)
- Juniors devs with no real senior following them committing unreasonable stuff
- Seniors devs thinking they are but they aren't.
- Company that keeps delivering projects even if they have not the required amount of people to make it in time.
Seems like nobody wants to stop and take time to think and make the right decisions. I see people running around me like crazy ants.
But, above all, what really kills me deep inside is HR. You are looking for "dynamic" "talented" "cool" devs but you are not willing to pay them enough.
Should I talk about LinkedIn?
Oh, God... Even the worsts companies sound like they are into Fortune 500. I feel so much hypocrisy here.
I have worked for big and small IT companies.
In the end, is all about "inside politics", everything which is getting financed is not because of usefulness but because of "relationship".
I started coding when I was really young.
After ten and more years, I finally take the job of my dreams but everything is shuttering under my feet.
If you have some words of wisdom, I'm here to hear you.
PS.
I'm not a native English speaker, I apologize for any mistake.6 -
Feeling bad, a woman on the street just asked me for money. I said I don't have cash. Then she said just a sandwich and I continued repeating no without any time to think if that was real. Maybe she was really hungry. I turned back but she disappeared.6

For uni we had to make a paper about a program we have to code. It could've been anything we wanted.
I went full mayhem and re-did final fantasy tactix advance from scratch in js: https://nitwhiz.xyz/tactix/ (not mobile friendly). No engine, real name no gimmicks, 100% my code.
Aside from not getting a straight A, I wish I did this stuff for money.3 -
it's been a while since my last rant and coming back after so long made me realize how much I missed here.
at some point i realized that the career I wanted and my current situation wouldn't match, I decided to go in real hard, I moved into the dreaded backend development (you can guess, node and mongodb),
I isolated myself from almost everyone and everything, cleared out my mobile games, social media and for almost two months I wanted something stable(might not be job ready but it had to be reasonable). I have come to love backend development so much, the joy of not having anything to do with css.
dad fought me, mum cried, probably thought I was slipping into some deep end, quitting school in my second year of studying food science(still dont know how I accepted that course lol) to start afresh didn't help matters. really hard decisions, made money on some little freelancing gigs, wasnt constant, I needed something stable and that was a job and a degree to get me one.
nothing special, just some regular hustler hoping his passion will pay him, I have always loved what i do but I need something to keep me going.5 -
So I make websites on the side for small time clients for some additional income. And without fail every time I sit down to work on this one site something goes wrong. First there were problems with the hosting, and now the template that the client chose is no longer for sale. I hope I'm not going to lose them over this :( I've sent them a list of alternative templates and contacted the company behind the original template to ask what is up. Real shame because they picked what I considered the favourite too and now I regret waiting to fork over the money to make the purchase.5
-
I just started a new project with a new client who once off-handedly mentioned offering us stock options if the site is successful. He's paying us real money to do the site and I hope he doesn't pull the old "Oops, I'm out of money. Would you like stock options?" move. Thanks to hellobonsai.com contract language I think we're covered.2
-
I made this site which is nice. Its a nice project plus I made this for my own. So I decided to book a domain for it.
Turns out every possible name is booked and it started pissing me off. I mean how positive people are for startups.
They made this a real-state business. Saw land acquire it. You never know which one will be next facebook ha!
Then I hit git.com which was parked too. I thought god bless you and your money.2 -
Those who had the "pleasure" of working directly with clients know a thing or two about how a clumsy communication can have grave consequences.
Software developer and an Imgur user BackDoorNoBaby shed some light on these humorous situations and misunderstandings that often occur with clueless clients. Because we all have our niche interests and specializations, and it’s easy to sneer at the plebs who just don’t get it. To be fair though, dealing with unrealistic demands by clients who have no real understanding of what you do must get pretty frustrating at times, and if you work in IT, you’ll surely have come across at least one of these situations before.
What we have here are the daily trials and tribulations of an IT worker. Clients that read the latest trends in a tech magazine and want it right now. Business people who think that because they have the money, solutions should magically materialize. Clients that complain about something not functioning properly, when they clearly don't have a clue how to use it properly. We all know this kind of clients, and these kind of 'horror' stories are part of what makes working in IT so special. Sometimes humour is the only suitable response.2 -
ATTENTION PLEASE! Important announcement following:
Please check your interface implementations for correct byteorder according specification BEFORE YOU START COMPLAINING ABOUT DATA FAILURES ON EXCHANGING DATA.
Freakin hell, if I'd get some money for every byte order mismatch on testing interfaces, I'd be a be a billionaire.
And why are all those highlevel I-know-every-fucking-framework developer incapable of checking the real memory content of a datatype, and the real data content on the interface even if you tell them that their byte order is obviously wrong?
No, your system is not the centre of the universe and I don't care how you get your less-than-32bit-datatypes-are-for-assembler-usage-frameworks to change byteorder. It's not rocket science, if there's no ready-to-use-function then write those 4 lines yourself.
Next time I get to specify an interface I'll go for mixed-endian, just to make sure everybody involved knows the concepts of endianess afterwards.2 -
I know this is utopic, but I've been thinking for a while now about starting an open source platform for figuring out the problems of our society and finding real world, applicable, open source solutions for them.
To give you some more details, the platform should have two interfaces:
- one for people involved in researching, compiling issues into smaller, concrete chunks that can be tackled in the real world, discuss and try to find workable solutions for the issues and so on
- one for the general public to search through the database of issues, become aware of the problems and follow progress on the issues that people started working on
Of course, anyone can join the platform, both as an observer (and have the ability to follow issues they find interesting) and/or contributor (and actually work with the community to make the world a better place in any way they can).
Each area of expertise would have some people that will manage the smaller communities that would build around issues, much like people already do in the open source community, managing teams to focus on the important thins for each issue. (I haven't found a solution for big egos getting in the way yet, but it would be nice if the people involved would focus on fixing stuff in stead of debating about tabs vs spaces, if you know what I mean).
The goal of this project would be to bring together as many people from all kind of fields to actually try to fix this broken society.
It would be even better if it attracted people with money and access to resources (one example off the top of my head being people like Elon Musk) that could help implement the solutions proposed by the community without expecting to gain profit off of it (profit is also acceptable if it is made in a considerate, fair and helpful way, but would not be promoted on the platform).
The whole thing would be voluntary work; no salary, no other commitment than the personal pledge that once someone chooses to tackle something, he/she will also see it trough (or at least do his/her best).
The platform would be something like a mix of real time communication, issue tracker, project management tool and publishing platform.
I don't yet have all the details for how it should all fit together, but if there is something that I would like to start, this is definitely it!
PS: I don't think I can ever do something like this by myself, and I don't really have the time to manage a community of developers to start work on it right now. But if you guys think something like this is something worth your time, I will make time and at least start on defining the architecture and try to turn this into a real project.
If enough people are interested, I will drop any other side projects and do my best to get this into the world!
Thank you for reading :)6 -
Imagine buying a 16 tflops GPU from some manufacturer, yet the computing power is somehow shared, and when they need to produce some more GPUs, they just take some part of your 16 tflops, as well as from all the other people who bought these GPUs, so suddenly you have 15.6 tflops, yet money is never sent back to you, and you have no control over such decisions.
Oh, you tell me it's "robbery"? Yet federal reserve does the exact same thing by creating money out of thin air, basically taking their cuts off of every person's monetary value.
For your very real work, companies pay you with something that can be created out of thin air, and then that something loses its value when new tokens are created.
This is slavery. From now on, I'm going to call dollars "slave tickets".8 -
I hate Matlab.
It's slow.
It's full of propriety nonsense.
It's costs money, which automatically makes it the worst thing to ever mar the beautiful face of the programming world.
Just so you know where I'm coming from, I own a 1980 Fiat X1/9. Needless to say I like to be under the hood and need to feel connected to what I'm working with.
The feeling I get when I want to pop the hood and maybe optimize something only to remember that this is a corrupt proprietary money machine built on the dry bones and scattered dreams of CS students whose sheltered coding experience won't give them a chance in the real world-- is a feeling I can not tolerate.
I quit.3 -
I currently have to finish some intermediate report for a big international research project which my CEO forced us into because of the incentives. But he doesn't care for any of the research and just want to get the money.
Due to my inexperience I promised some things for this project, which now prove to be untenable. And now I realize all this and I get to deal with small anxiety attacks (especially today).
I just want to say "fuck you all" and go, but this no real option for me. That makes me totally exhausted, especially because it feels like a personal failure. :/2 -
So the gaming industry was having huge profits (2024?), then they decided to layoff a bunch of people for "reasons", which displaced a bunch of people in the industry, who then became indies and are making good money, and people working for studios are salty about something they caused?
https://reddit.com/r/gaming/...
How cancerous do you have to be in your industry to be pissed at people trying to recover from your cancer?
"deprofessionalization" is this corporate speak for "doesn't have a cushy middle management job at EA"? I tried looking up the meaning and came away even more confused. You aren't a real gaming dev if you don't work for a huge studio?
Weird way to de-legitimize people who had to look for work elsewhere. The people who left or got laid off are escaping a shitscape for sure.5 -

So got into a small debate (actually a civil one, surprise surprise) about the final project for a class. Basically the final project involves a team of 3-4 coders making a website for an actual client that either they find or provided by the professor.
The exact point of conflict was that the work is pro bono. The student argued that the work should be paid since after all, real work, real client. My argument is that because the clients don’t exactly choose the designers (or have little to no knowledge of most of their work) there will be high variance in quality and contract work would cause more conflict if done in class.
So just wondering, what do people think about this? Logistical issues aside (earning money for technically school property/ownership and money for learning essentially)6 -
Ekhem.... da money? Sure I can go on about how it changed my approach to real life problems or how it keeps my mind flexible and always learning more BUT the truth is - those are just nice things on top of being able to buy food and pay rent2
-
JUST when i thought i learned everything in X language, i accidentally discover a whole new dimension about it i never knew existed. this fucking irritates me. Fuck youuu
if you tell me i shouldn't be mad because i would just be learning more, Fuck youu tooo
i dont have infinite amount of Fucking time
I have to go forward and finish stuff and not just endlessly keep learning and learning and learning and BOOM SHIT IM 80 YEARS OLD ALREADY
Fuck youuuu
The point of fucking learning is not to continue learning even after u learned the point is to stop and apply what you learned in the real world
this is the same shit as a greedy person would chase money.
• if you gamble, you will always be poor
• if you are greedy, you will never have enough
• if you keep learning without applying, you will never do anything10 -
just a thought : the advancement in AI is going to result in a lot of porn and fetishes reaching an even higher audience. comparing the advancements in generations :
gen x :
- porn is limited to magazines and comics
- people are crazy about sex but only in their homes
gen y :
- porn as an industry gets established. a few companies with good money starts hiring people and create porn as content.
- the governments are sceptical and puts lots of regulations in this industry resulting in those japenese sensored porns and porn being shared like drugs in market (secretively)
- only the curious people are able to get access porn with lots of hardwork
gen z/curren5 gen :
- porn as a concept is still a taboo in religions and general public , but government is lineant and does not /could not stop its distribution
- porn accessible to anyone with an internet
- content creation no longer a high investment business, lots of small companies and even individuals become content creators
- rule 34 flourishes resulting in a lot of fetishes . wherever there is an idea, there maybe some content creator making a video, comic or art on that idea.
next gen :
- AI creates realistic porn on any idea. the access to such ai models becomes cheap . thus anyone who is a consumer can become a producer, resulting in even more content generation
- since ai can use non real people to make porn, the stigma around porn reduces and mature content gets more mainstream ( r rated movies getting family friendly ratings)
- rise of hate porn, deep fakes, resulting in either the concept of hate porn getting less audience , or direct decrease of extroverted professions ( no real actors/actresses to shoot movies)
just some thoughts around porn lol8 -

Is there anyway to support dev rant using Google Play credits instead of donating "real" money?2 -
fucking "premium subscription" is just a reboot of the "bundling" bullshit from the cable companies.
no i dont really wanna pay 4 bucks to rent a shitty halloween flick for 48 hours that i randomly got nostalgia for, nor do i want to pay an additional 8 bucks a month for your streaming service that i hardly use to begin with to include Starz or whatever.
oh a free 7 day trial will get me access you say? oh but of course you need my credit card first just to verify that im real and then conveniently charge me when i forgot i signed up and keep my money after i cancel.
too lazy to torrent. movie wasnt that great either, so not really worth the effort.7 -
My board game based on mandavoshka is almost done and if you like to test it via Testflight, please do.
https://testflight.apple.com/join/...
I know, a board game isn’t exactly very exciting but I wanted to do this for ages.
It‘s meant to be played on a tablet with up to four players sitting around the device.
So the controls are rotated to the side of the current player.
You can also select the computer to play for a player, but it doesn’t play very well.
The app icon and the background images are generated by chatgpt because I‘m shit at designing.
It was a real pain in the butt to make chatgpt generate repeatable (tiling) textures.
The app will be free but I added in app purchase to unlock the color picker for each player. It will be the cheapest price of 0.29 €.
I‘m doing it to get experience with iap, not to make money.
You can test the iap for free during the Testflight phase.

tldr; Fuck Windows networks
I do some first level support for a befriended architect when i got some sparetime after regular work. Its nice and easy extra cash most of the times but not today.
We decided to ditch the money thiving IT admin that did not care about doing his work. And instead of taking over his pile of shit i adviced to redo the whole network, drop the massive server that did idle 99% of the day and update all PCs some of them did still run IE8 and had no active anti virus, yeah that dude was real shit.
Anyways i proceded with the whole process today and everything worked expect the fucking windows network, that fucking domain controller setup blocked the fucking internetconnection even though DNS and DHCP where set up correctly. Why does fucking ms need to make it so difficult to set up fucking network accounts....
I will have to finish this shit up tomorrow and this on a weekend...2 -
I'm working at a big furniture store on the weekends to earn a little bit of extra money during my computer science bachelors.
The only annoyance is that the job has absolutely nothing to do with programming...
Should I quit to try get an internship as a developer? What holds me back is a real lack of confidence & experience. I wanna get more into programming but I'm also scared I would suck ass in a real company, although I have already worked with a lot of differnt languages & paradigms during my studies.
What to do devrant?1 -
Tying to make something of myself without working for anyone else.
It used to be easy for me, but fear kept me from perusing things all the way thru when I was younger. I never wanted to leave what were decent jobs at the time.
I finally did it. Threw away a very good job to bet on myself.
But the difference is, now I have a family and finding free time in itself isn’t that hard, but finding free time to code uninterrupted for hours... the way one needs to in order to hold a program in ones mind... yeah, near impossible these days, haha.
I have great ideas but I need help to get things to that ‘next level’ where an idea could take off and get real investments. And I need money to pay the help... Just getting the ball rolling would be nice. I used to take it for granted how easily I could get side jobs and be literally the best in town. But now it’s insanely competitive. I don’t even consider Webdesign an option for side work anymore, with sites like Wix and customers that don’t appreciate what I do vs a kid that gives them a Wordpress theme for just the cost of dirt cheap hosting... traditional Webdesign is dead.
But that’s all well and good, i saw that coming over a decade ago and focused more on coding application. I do think there’s a niche for my programming skills, so my current goal is trying to exploit that, or at least see if it’s viable. I just need something to get money to invest in my real projects.
I’d love to hear from people with similar situations! Not sure if I’ll pull it off before I have to go back to work. Although, I viewed never returning to the workforce haha. We’ll see... -
Today marks the third interview in a row that included an equality statement diluted to uselessness by liberal doublespeak.
I think I should write a real equality statement. One that doesn't dance around money.1 -

So I had this conversation yesterday while fixing yet another Windows laptop for someone else.
Other Guy = OG
Me = Me (Duh)
OG: So what are your plans after your apprenticeship?
Me: Uh, I'll probably start somewhere that's e-commerce related, kinda like my current company but somewhere else.
OG: Uh have you thought about being your own boss?
Me: Well yeah, but I wouldn't know how to attract customers and shit
-- This is the moment shit gets real
OG: OH BTW I heard that Germany is lacking AI developers, you should do that! It earns you shitloads of cash!
Me: Uhm.. well, that might be true b-
OG: There's no but dude, it's free money, you're smart.. I mean you can fix any computer, right? AI will be just as easy
Me: It's not like-
OG: Duh, don't make yourself look so bad I know you can do it!
Me: B..But I'm not interested in it at all
*silence for 5 seconds*
OG: Well.. I guess you do you then
After that we continued to have random chit-chat about his job and experience (He's a mechanic)
God I hate when people throw buzzwords around and try to convince other people to do what *they* want.
No, I don't want to develop a structure of 1000 ifs/elses, I'd rather keep doing what I'm doing, thanks!6 -
getting a real, stable and properly paying developer or IT support job
I'm tired of doing people's assignments for money -
Answer this questionnaire.
Be 100% honest and real:
1. has a degree helped you learn anything useful?
2. has a degree helped you get a job? not because of knowledge but because of degree?
3. was it worth it going to college to get the degree?
4. do you regret going to college to get your degree?
5. do you believe a degree has value?
6. by the nature of economy, the more something exists in circulation (e.g. money), is it worth less or more?
6.1. if every year there are more and more college degrees in existence, is the value of degree worth less or more?
7. do you believe you are hired to work a job because of your knowledge or your degree?39 -
My consuming cycle:
1. An urge to buy a new shiny thing. No peace of mind if I refuse to buy it. My brain starts to generate sentences like "Treat yourself", "Why are you even living if you can't buy what you want", etc.
2. Acquisition. Immense guilt about the money spent. My brain somehow classifies any non-electronic thing that costs more than $30 as "ridiculously expensive", no matter how much money I make, no matter my reserves.
3. A short period of... no, not peace of mind. It's just an absence of that urge. I can't quite call it "peace".
4. goto 1
Hyperconsumerism is hell. I don't want my life to be ridden by guilt. I want to break that cycle, but when I try, it's just me asking that blaming questions to myself.
Somehow I probably got an answer. I should make my everyday thought process and patterns independent of buying stuff. Money shouldn't define what I do and what I think about.
Everything I need with an exception of medicines is both factually cheap and perceived as cheap, and I don't feel guilty about buying medicines.
What should I aim my thought process to? I'm tired of programming, because it provokes an entirely different kind of guilt, the guilt of "you shouldn't be resting, go write that article, go study that new web shit, go build that another open source thing (that nobody cares about)".
Art makes me a bit happier though. I studied 20th century progressive art a bit, and appreciating the ideas behind certain pieces of design, architecture and fine arts make me feel superior than other people, and also superior than my past self. I don't know if it's healthy or not, I'm just being honest now.
I think I need more art in my life. For now, I'm fine with knowing that I'll probably never create a real piece of art (aside from programming), so at least I can consume art instead of buying worthless shit that doesn't make me happy anyway.5 -
Can't help but feel a bit guilty because I have other stuff I should probably be attending to, but I think my site could use a good update; it's been (I believe) a year, and I had a few ideas on ways to improve the look and effectiveness of it.
I have other projects I must attend to as well if I plan on making any real money, but I think I deserve to spoil myself bit by bit over the next couple of days. I want to make things more programmatic for the sake of easier updates in the future and to show off to potential employers a bit more.
Wish me luck guys😀 -
So. Wow I have a question. Ok for real... I am in need of advice. I have a concept for a platform based on a specific interest which almost all of us have, based on a peer-to-peer principle with multiple services and user types/needs/agendas/reasons. The platform is intellectually straight forward and users will all participate on the platform as they see fit which will benefit other users as well as motivate more to join. The platform will serve it's own purpose and meet the users needs in a way that you may have seen before but the intellectual property and how the platform is used, is so unique that I can't risk too much information.
The question is. How do I protect my idea / intellectual property so I can recruit help and market without someone coming along and stealing it out from underneath me?
This isn't uncle Vinnys Cologne idea...
Everyone thinks they have the million dollar winner. I'm not sure if this puts gold toilet paper in my bathroom just yet but... I have something that an existing platform with money will absolutely steal and try to push as their own idea... They will probably succeed too.
So how do I protect this from happening so only I get to fail or ruin this good idea?1 -
https://perplexity.ai/page/... love these articles. Those researchers have too much money to spend anyway. About AI companions, could be very well be true. They're not good enough yet, but I could prefer it as well. They destroyed everything with identity politics and anti human mindset. Not fault of AI. I already prefer internet relationships above real life ones. I had such a busy social life before, it was actually terrible thinking back obout it. I really started to hate society since covid and love my detached life. Some times my parents come over and make me realize that world exist snapping out my peaceful quiet, happy and stable life. Go away with your dystopia. "We are rebuilding the fire place in our house, not the way we want, but in a way the insurance company want so it's practically impossible to get a fire, and then we insure it.". Wraaaaahhhhh. That kinda fucked up logic. I can't stand it. "That's just how it works.". Waaaaaah. Society in a nutshell.
This perplexity news site is a good way to stay up-to-date tho, can read it for hours.11 -
There are lots of people paid real money to get their stack overflow account boosted.🤖 Answer me if I'm wrong.🐅11

!Rant.
After reading many articles and watching YouTube videos on Blockchain, how it works, the new framework etc etc. It's evident that blockchain can be used to eliminate many problem faced in different industries and so on. What I cannot seem to find is a perfect application of solution to these problems in real life. I know it's too early to speculate, but thinking of all the internal(or under the table money) transactions happening, what is the possibility of mass adoption of blockchain given these conditions.3 -
Leave it to an investing company 'dUe DiLigAnCe' document to list the following requirement:

Debugging is fine, totally part of the job!
Constantly fixing sh1t and new reports of another pile of sh1t coming every day like somebody is throwing them with shovels at us just to open the codebase that is written by the folks who aren't here anymore with some list of obscure libraries that is last maintained about 5 y ago is not ok.
It is not buggy codebase it is actually coddy bugbase!
I tried to be vocal several times to change technology to more suitable one, to make some improvements and to remove code smells(there is a ton of it, smells like organic garbage dumpster with rotten eggs) but "everything works" and there is no real "value for the customers" in that(fixing, refactoring etc.)!!!
Yea it works with sh1t ton of bugs reported every week. Nobody gives a shit, just contempt with their mediocre lives solving bug at the time while i feel like I'm wasting my time and talent on wrong people and fixing other's shit.
That is what happens when prototype becomes product and ships to production because numbers, money and sh1t!
this is why we who care about our career can't have nice things! I am not god damn pest control, I am f*ckin developer.1 -
Oh for fucks sake! Why so we have threading when we synchronize EVERYTHING with a singleton... and when I actually show you that even unthreaded spaghetti code runs 40% faster under real life conditions than your shit you just brush it of because I'm still at university and don't know what I'm talking about... And not because changing it would require money or time we don't have... no, just because I “lack the necessary experience with such things.“

I hate and despise all governments so much right now. Blunder, waste money. Politicians are rarely held accountable for the bad decisions
People say that anarchy is bad. Like, the streets would be full of thieves and bandits: you walk 10m and you get robbed because there is no police. The real question though, is: do we have any real evidence on this matter? Just something I've been wondering about lately.
Do we have a real-world example where the crime rate actually goes down because of a good decision made by the government? Do we have a historical example of an anarchy society? The way I understand it, people were just more bloodthirsty in the past: many liked the idea of going to war and killing enemies (is fact). Now the culture has changed, but the governments are stuck in the past.16 -
Anything made by asus is a fucking garbage.
My first asus laptop was eee pc 701. It had only 2 gigabytes “ssd” which was just a flash drive using usb 2.0 inside. Doing this instead of using a proper sata ssd is like using bunch of rats glued to a frisbee instead of roomba vacuum. It displayed “intel 800mhz processor” in settings but this was only the processor’s name string, in fact it was only 640mhz single core. I still managed to install totally stripped version of windows xp to it and play some old games but overall it was horrible. It also heated up as hell.
My second asus laptop was infamous z99h. It had windows vista and was slow as hell right out of the box. Also BOTH hinges broke in just like six months. It was horrible as well. The screen itself broke in a year.
I also used asus rt-series router and it required a restart every day just to deliver some wifi. Don’t you dare tell me to “uPdATe fIrMwArE”, I pay money for the product and I expect it to work right outside the box.
Asus smartphones was also garbage.
So why have asus laptop if you can have a real laptop like MacBook or thinkpad? Why have asus phone if you can have a real smartphone like iPhone or pixel? Why have asus router if you can have ubiquiti?
Asus drivers suck, and all of asus software is just bloatware.9 -
It all started with me attempting the interview at a bank only for exposure sake and I wanted to benchmark myself to see if I can make the cut because I was told their interviews are hard.
Before, I was sure I won't ever work for a bank because as compared to a tech firm, the general consensus think banks are filled with red tape and work mainly revolves around their proprietary platforms/toolings which isolates the engineer from what the real tech companies are using.
But when I see what they are offering me, the money is really swaying me now. I never imagined to be offered this much... What should I do or how should I process this...?4 -
Asked my real estate agency to withdraw the rent from my bank account on monday. Today is friday, these fuckers didn't do it and now I don't have enough money left (short by 50€) to pay them.

Damn it should be painful to be this fucked in the head.6 -
I Want nothing more than to take a break from the internet just turn my shity school ipad off for a few days but nope can't do that 3 papers due 1 test all has to be done on a school ipad with this shitty virtual keyboard never thought I would get carpel tunnel at 16 lol according to parents I don't need a computer with a screen that I don't have to cram my neck down to look at I don't need a keyboard I can use 2 hands to type with can't spend my own money on something that would improve my life allow me to do more than one thing at a time and maybe have some time for myself computers are just toys right ? they have no real use.

Create popout pages, all looks and works well...
Except in bastarding Internet bloody Explorer -
In IE if you use one particular dropdown list then everything moves slightly to the left... Why?
Why IE, why are you still even real? Why do Microsoft think you're worth maintaining?
Why have Microsoft given us two crap browsers instead of one normal one?
You're an utter waste of time, memory and money and I want you to go away. -
I have a friend with 50k on strike... he's a big talker about how secure it is to own crypto vs real money. So I dug a bit to see if he owns crypto. Lmao no. You don’t own shit. Private keys? Zero. Your “wallet”? Just a database entry. Lightning “magic”? Only inside their app.
Try to withdraw? Good luck competing for on-chain settlement while they control liquidity.
Strike = centralized banking in cosplay. Feels instant, looks decentralized, but it’s a trap. It's literally a scam playing on people who don't understand the tech.1 -
Questions around Openshift:
My company is actually triying to find out if Openshift is a thing out in the developers world. We are currently (finally) investing some money in container architectures. But are quite unsure if Openshift is a real thing out there. So my questions:
For how long are you building Openshift application PODs and why?
Or alternatively: Do you know a good source of up to date surveys around the container world, or do you know who can do good and usable surveys in that kind of area?2 -
I love what I do, I love designing and building well-crafted software, and so it eats up a lot of my time.
I constantly remind myself that, while being a software developer is a good profession, it is not enough for me. I am focused on building products that offer real value, in return for money. Because, capitalism...
I remind myself that money doesn’t raise itself, technically-excellent networks full of possible partners and employees don’t build themselves either.
Therefore, I force myself to go be social from time to time.
But it is a struggle, that I don’t do a good enough job with! So I’m going to do better this summer -
I was never really into programming which led to bad grades in programming courses I had to take in my college which are mostly based on C. Later, I've realized that it's an easy way to make pocket money ;) as I was a bit good at it and my learning curve is a bit fast, which made everything happen real fast. This is when I started of with Java which was crucial in building an enterprise application. This was the time I made some real progress in programming.
-
I work on decentralized applications and I'm tired of other engineers being so dense.
Every time a topic like NFTs is being brought up it' goes almost identical to "Bill Gates is putting nano-chips into people through vaccines and we'll soon be manipulated by 5g signal"
You'd expect other engineers to have critical thinking and getting to the root of things but most of them are same obscurantist as the rest
What else is SCAM, you moron? There has been some shady SaaS companies in the past. Let's declare REST API as scam from now on, shall we?
Blockchain nodes often use RPC and many websites on HTTP and sockets. Let's go all the way and say that all the protocols are cursed from now on
The biggest crybabies are game devs. They are either the most dense, the most lazy to learn staying ignorant. Or.they simply go full cartel on.anything new because they are afraid of changes they won't be able to adapt
Even within the industry there are sometimes groups that act like buffoons. You can have a nice conversation about the importance of decentralization and all that,. agree on every single point when it comes to money and how Bitcoin is #1.
However, when you mention that you can use it for hosting apps reliably, guaranteed consistent API or simply for managing a network of Roblox servers secured by $100K that no-one is going to atack you'll start seeing how they be glitching
The ramping is identical to what folks from TradFi say about Bitcoin: It's all games and not real, not backed by anything, it will be shut down soon. Better put money in bank / rent a server with DB
As if dealing with huge amount of founders who are grifters and the user base who are gamblers didn't make it hard enough24 -
So the company is launching this massive new project, I'm tasked with building a dashboard to track the performances of the whole thing in near real-time.
90% if the data comes from this one somewhat rubbish API (3rd-party).
I'm given plenty of time to build this, everything runs fine prior to the launch, manager happy.
Launch day, happening exactly at midnight.
I go and check my dashboard 5 min past the hour, all excited.
Errors, errors everywhere. "What is going on?" I exclaimed. #datHeartAttack
Took me a fair amount of time to figure out the issue.
Due to the time difference I was technically requesting the 3rd party servers for "tomorrow's data," and that instead of handling that in some sensible manner, the API just threw a "wrong fucking date error."
I mean, we're paying additional money, good money, for this API. -
I'll listen to an album, try and understand the story, and search for the truth.
I use to let musicians guide me. I'd look to them..
Search for interviews and repeat songs to stay high.
Musicians are great marketers. They're compelling, emotionally intelligent, and spiritual.
What I'm trying to say is, I learned a lot of game from musicians.
Seduction..
and that'll only get you so far.
I just became aware of programming not to long ago.
I have a mentor on money real estate, seduction, fashion, marketing, but I don't know anyone who is the guro of programming and development.2 -
Had a talk yesterday about crypto and blockchain... Including NFTs... In that you could use real money like now to buy digital goods except you can transfer them and show them off anywhere online.
And well I'm suddenly wait... NFT + VR = Virtual worlds like Sword Art Online and Accel World....
Now we just need neurolink to work and then we'll have VR pods.... Like in the Matrix....

Greetings, my name is Cohen Green, and I am based in San Francisco, California, where I work within the real estate sector. Two months prior, I incurred a significant financial setback, losing $1.2 million in Bitcoin and USDT, owing to a fraudulent investment firm. The incident began when I received an enticing proposal from an organization called CANCAP, promising high returns and showcasing verified investor profits, which led me to invest the entire amount.
I initially encountered relentless demands for additional payments when attempting to withdraw funds. Shortly thereafter, their website vanished, and every attempt to contact them proved fruitless. I was left in shock, my hope of recovering the money dwindling. Despite my efforts with authorities, these fraudsters remained elusive. Approximately one month after the incident, while researching online, I discovered an article about MORPHOHACK CYBER SERVICE, a firm renowned for its expertise in cryptocurrency recovery. I reached out to them and was astonished by the efficiency and professionalism of their team. Employing sophisticated software tools, they managed to recover $816,000 from the total amount in under 72 hours, even months after the scam occurred. I remain profoundly grateful for their assistance and am still in awe of their capabilities.
If you require similar support, please consider contacting them. Morphohackcyber. com, Morphohack@cyberservices. com.3 -

HOW TO HIRE A TRUSTED CRYPTOCURRENCY RECOVERY EXPERT; USDT RECOVERY EXPERT HIRE CYBER CONSTABLE INTELLIGENCE
My name is Lori, and I’m sharing my experience in the hope that it might help others avoid a similar scam. A few weeks ago, I received an email that appeared to be from the "Department of Health and Human Services (DHS)." It claimed I was eligible for a $72,000 grant debit card, which seemed like an incredible opportunity. At first, I was skeptical, but the email looked so professional and convincing that I thought it might be real. The email instructed me to click on a link to claim the grant, and unfortunately, I followed through. I filled out some personal details, and then, unexpectedly, I was told I needed to pay a "processing fee" to finalize the grant. I was hesitant, but the urgency of the message pushed me to make the payment, believing it was a necessary step to receive the funds. Once the payment was made, things quickly went downhill. The website became unreachable, and I couldn’t get in touch with anyone from the supposed DHS. It soon became clear that I had been scammed. The email, which seemed so legitimate, had been a clever trick to steal my money. Devastated and unsure of what to do, I began searching for ways to recover my lost funds. That’s when I found Cyber Constable Intelligence, a team of experts who specialize in tracing stolen money and assisting victims of online fraud. They were incredibly reassuring and quickly got to work on my case. After several days of investigation, they managed to track down the scammers and recover my funds. I can’t express how grateful I am for their help. Without Cyber Constable Intelligence, I don’t know what I would have done. This experience has taught me a valuable lesson: online scams are more common than I realized, and the scammers behind them are incredibly skilled. They prey on people’s trust, making it easy to fall for their tricks. If you’ve ever been a victim of a similar scam, I highly recommend contacting a trusted recovery service like Cyber Constable Intelligence. They have the expertise and tools to help you recover your money and protect yourself from future scams. Stay vigilant, always question unsolicited offers, and never provide personal information or make payments without verifying the legitimacy of the source.

ETHEREUM AND USDT RECOVERY COMPANY HIRE ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST
I had always felt that trust was the bedrock of any partnership, especially a business one. My associate and I had what I thought was a non-shakeable alliance. We would strategize; we would go to conferences about crypto and toast our wins with a glass of liquor. He was the only person I had trusted with my financial insight. Unfortunately, he was also the last person I should have trusted. WhatsApp info:+12723 328 343
I woke up one morning to the stuff of nightmares: I had absolutely no access to my Bitcoin wallet, holding $290,000. My password didn't work, my backup keys were useless, and my hardware wallet? Completely wiped. Panic set in as I tried to work out what was going on. Then, a chilling realization hit me. Only a week before, my ever-so-helpful colleague had made an offer to "optimize" my wallet security. I thought at that time, Wow, what a great guy. Well, it turns out he was great-at deception.
The real gut punch? He had the audacity to sit across from me at work the next day, sipping coffee like nothing had happened. I confronted him, expecting some elaborate excuse, but he played dumb-so dumb it was insulting. That's when I knew what I needed were professionals, not empty denials.
After hours of frantic research, I came across ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST. Their reputation in high-stakes crypto theft gave me hope. From the first conversation, they took my case seriously, breaking down the recovery process in a way that finally made sense. Their forensic team got to work tracking the stolen funds across multiple wallets.
A few tense days later, I got the call: my money was back. Every single dollar. It turned out that my trusted colleague had tried to launder the funds through multiple transactions, but ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST untangled his mess with ease. The feeling of relief was overwhelming; I had prepared myself for the worst, yet I walked away victorious.
My colleague probably had a pretty good inkling, because he quit before I could file any report. Typical. Some people just love to disappear rather than confront the music.
I emerged from that fiasco with my money still in one piece, and more painfully but preciously, with the lesson not to confuse control for kindness: you earn trust; you don't give it away freely-especially where money intervenes.1 -
Hello Friends. Several months ago, I was lured into what seemed like a legitimate crypto investment opportunity, The platform had professional looking websites, active customer support, and what appeared to be real time profit dashboards. After a few small successful withdrawals, I became confident and invested a much larger sum over $200,000. Soon after, the platform stopped responding. My account was locked, and all communication ceased. I realized too late that I had fallen victim to a sophisticated crypto scam. Feeling helpless and devastated, I began researching recovery options and came across iCode Cyber Tech, a reputable cyber investigation and recovery service. Despite being down at first, I decided to reach out to them. What did I have to lose? From the very first contact, their team was incredibly professional and reassuring. They asked for all the details, including transaction records, wallet addresses, and communication history with the fake platform. Their team conducted a thorough blockchain analysis and began tracing the stolen assets. Their expertise, transparency, and dedication throughout the process were truly commendable. I never thought I’d see that money again, but thanks to iCode Cyber Tech, I did. Thank you, iCode Cyber Tech, for giving me a second chance.

A few months ago, I was approached online by a so-called investment broker. Everything looked professional — flashy websites, fake but convincing reviews, even video calls with people who seemed legitimate. They promised unbelievable returns on Bitcoin investments, and I, eager to grow my crypto holdings, fell for it. Over a few weeks, I transferred Bitcoin worth around $360,000 to what I thought was a secured investment wallet. The “broker” kept assuring me my money was growing, even showing fake dashboards with fabricated profits. But when I tried to withdraw my funds, they demanded additional fees — taxes, account, activation, and release charges. That’s when the truth hit me I had been scammed. Devastated, I started searching for solutions. But then, a glimmer of hope. A cybersecurity contact muttered Try Dexdert Net Recovery. They hunt crypto ghosts. Dexdert Net had real testimonials, detailed explanations of their process, and most importantly, they didn’t ask for any suspicious upfront fees. After contacting them, their team patiently walked me through the steps gathering all evidence of the scam, tracking the Bitcoin transactions on the blockchain, and using legal recovery channels and cyber forensic methods. They kept me updated at every stage. 4 days later, I got the email I’ll never forget: Funds Recovered. Dexdert Net Recovery successfully traced and retrieved the entire $360,000 worth of Bitcoin from the scammer’s wallets. Thanks to Dexdert Net Pro Recovery, not only did I reclaim my lost Bitcoin, but I also regained a sense of justice — and a serious lesson learned. If you’re ever in a situation like I was, know this: there’s hope, and there are real experts out there who can help. Dexdert Net Recovery proved it to me.

For the past four months, I’ve been trapped in a nightmare with traderup com. I’ve been unable to access my funds due to a PIN issue that I couldn’t recover. Every time I contacted customer support, they promised to email me a solution within 24 hours, but never followed through. I checked my inbox, including spam folders, and found nothing. It felt like I was being ignored. The frustration only increased as I couldn’t withdraw my money, despite numerous attempts. When I reached out for help, one agent directed me to their Telegram channel. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get in touch with anyone through it, and that route proved to be just another dead end. It became clear that traderup com was doing everything in its power to keep my funds from being released. The company’s application didn’t even offer a way to recover my PIN. With no clear solution from their support team and no recovery option, I was left feeling completely helpless. It was as if my money had been locked away in a trap, and I couldn’t get it out. I felt desperate and didn’t know what to do next. My attempts to get help were falling short, and every day that passed without access to my funds added to the stress and anxiety I was experiencing. Then, after some online research, I found Blockchain Cyber Retrieve, and everything changed. When I reached out to Blockchain Cyber Retrieve, I was initially skeptical, given the situation with traderup com. However, their team reassured me and explained how they could help. They were professional, attentive, and knowledgeable about the recovery process. They acted swiftly and efficiently, keeping me informed every step of the way. Within a week, I had all my funds back, and the process was smooth, professional, and stress-free. I honestly can’t thank them enough for their help. They truly are the queens of chargebacks, offering real solutions when all other options failed. It’s clear that traderup com was never going to release my money without external intervention. Their lack of communication and transparency made it impossible for me to resolve the issue on my own. However, Blockchain Cyber Retrieve dedication and expertise were exactly what I needed to get my funds back. If you’re in a similar situation and feel like you’re being ignored or trapped, I highly recommend Blockchain Cyber Retrieve. They were the only ones who got the job done when no one else could. They restored my faith in getting things right and helped me recover my hard-earned money.

My name is Amber Jones, and I'm a physician based in London. For years, I worked hard, earning a decent salary of £13,400 a month. But with a child to care for, I wanted to secure my financial future and grow my savings. I began exploring investment opportunities, hoping to build a safety net for my family. That’s when I met someone online who seemed genuine and trustworthy. He spoke passionately about financial freedom, self-employment, and the potential of cryptocurrency. His words felt convincing, and his promises of quick profits with minimal risk made me feel comfortable enough to trust him. Over time, this person encouraged me to invest in Bitcoin, recommending a specific trading platform he claimed was reliable. I was hesitant at first, but his confidence and assurances swayed me. I invested everything I had saved, £165,992 in Bitcoin, believing it would be a secure and profitable decision. For a while, everything seemed fine. I watched the platform, and things appeared to be going well. But soon, things began to unravel. The returns I was promised never materialized, and I found myself locked out of my account. As time went on, I realized I had been scammed. The person I had trusted had manipulated me with sweet promises, and I had lost everything. Devastated, I turned to various recovery services, hoping to get my money back. But each service I contacted only led me deeper into more scams. I felt helpless, isolated, and completely betrayed. I was convinced I would never see my hard-earned savings again, and I almost gave up on the idea of recovering my funds. Then, one day, while searching for music on YouTube to calm my mind, I came across a video about Cyber Constable Intelligence. The video explained how they had successfully helped people recover money lost to scams. I was still skeptical, but I decided to check the comments for any real-life experiences. To my surprise, many people shared how Cyber Constable Intelligence had helped them recover their lost funds. That gave me a glimmer of hope, and I decided to reach out to them. Cyber Constable Intelligence was professional and responsive. They guided me through every step of the recovery process, offering support and transparency. While I’m still in the process of recovering my funds, I can honestly say that Cyber Constable Intelligence has been a real help during this difficult time. For the first time in months, I feel hopeful again.

Stay clear as this has been the biggest nightmare of my life.
They trick you into investing with all their lies and tactics. They are not a real company and have no legitimate address, as the FCA warned me they are a scam. These so-called "investments" are a facade, meant only to deceive and steal from vulnerable people. I was lured in by promises of high returns and an easy path to financial success. I initially felt optimistic and confident, but things quickly took a dark turn. I tried to close my account and withdraw my funds when I had over €213,500.00 in my account, but they continually came up with excuse after excuse, making it impossible for me to get my money back. They kept promising that the withdrawal would go through, but nothing ever happened. It became clear that the platform was fake my money was not being invested in the market as promised. Instead, they were stealing it through a covert mechanism. They opened a coin tandem account under my name and used my funds to buy bitcoins, transferring them into various bitcoin wallet addresses that were not under my control. They kept me in the dark, manipulating me with false statements while slowly siphoning off my money. What’s even worse is that the company’s credit was a complete fabrication. The bank details they provided were not even theirs, but instead belonged to coin tandems, the very platform that was helping them execute this scam. I felt trapped and powerless. To add insult to injury, they knew about my personal circumstances. They knew I had a young daughter and that I was struggling with my health. Yet, despite my vulnerability, they continued to gaslight me, leading me to believe that everything was fine. I felt emotionally drained and helpless. Fortunately, I was introduced to Conrad Drew, a former insider who had been working with the scammers. He reached out to me and confessed that he had realized the truth behind their operations. He had been close to them but eventually saw the light. He told me it was a scam and connected me to Digital Tech Guard Recovery,

LEADING BTC RECOVERY COMPANY-CODER CYBER SERVICES
As a real estate investor, I am always cautious about where I put my money. I’ve learned the hard way that not every opportunity is what it seems, so I usually take my time to do thorough research before committing. When I came across an online platform offering exclusive property deals with high returns, I was intrigued but skeptical. The website, realatorsCA com, looked professional, and the salesperson was incredibly persuasive. He explained that the investment would be used to buy land, develop it by building properties, and then sell them for a profit. This seemed like a solid business model, and the idea of earning profits from such ventures was appealing. After weeks of research, checking reviews, and asking questions, I decided to invest CAD 42,700 in what seemed like a promising opportunity. At first, everything seemed fine. I received regular updates about the projects, and my online account showed “profits” from my investment. Everything appeared legitimate, and I was optimistic about my decision. The website offered easy access to my account, and the platform seemed to be functioning just as advertised. However, when I tried to withdraw some of my funds to see how the process worked, the website suddenly went offline. My attempts to reach the customer service number went unanswered, and eventually, the phone number was disconnected. At that point, I realized that I had been scammed.I felt devastated and helpless. It was hard to believe that I had been tricked, especially after doing so much research. But I didn’t give up. I reached out to Coder Cyber Services, a company operating in Banff, Alberta. I provided them with all the details I had: the website, transaction records, and emails from the scammer. Their team was incredibly supportive and assured me that they would use their expertise to help recover my funds.Coder Cyber Services used advanced digital forensics to trace the scammer’s digital footprint. They identified the offshore account where my money had been transferred and worked tirelessly with international authorities to freeze the account. Within a few weeks, they successfully recovered the full CAD 42,700.The relief was indescribable. Thanks to Coder Cyber Services, not only did I get my money back, but I also learned valuable lessons on how to avoid future scams. Their expertise and support were a lifeline in a time of need, and I’ll always be grateful for their help in recovering my investment.Their website is available for more information concerning the company or rather send them a text +1 (672) 648-1781

I invested $55,000, which I had worked hard to save for both myself and my son, into a cryptocurrency exchange called CoinFx. Weeks passed, and despite all my attempts to contact them, I received no real solution. It became clear that I had been scammed, and my money was gone. In March 2025, my life took a devastating turn when I discovered that I had fallen victim to a fraudulent real estate investment scheme orchestrated by a group known as Woodbridge. They had lured me in with the enticing promise of 20% returns on my investment, a figure that seemed too good to be true but was hard to resist as a retiree looking to secure my financial future. I invested my entire $300,000 retirement savings, believing I was making a wise decision for my family and myself. Everything appeared legitimate. Woodbridge presented itself as a reputable real estate investment opportunity, complete with impressive marketing materials and testimonials from supposed satisfied investors. I felt reassured by the glossy brochures and the promises of financial security. However, as time went on, the reality began to unravel. I soon learned that Woodbridge was not investing in real estate as they had claimed. Instead, they were using the funds from new investors to pay off earlier investors, a classic Ponzi scheme that ultimately led to the collapse of the entire operation. When the scheme fell apart, I was left grappling with the harsh reality of losing my life savings. The emotional toll was immense, as I watched my dreams of a secure retirement slip away. It was during this dark time that I discovered Techy Force Cyber Retrieval, a firm dedicated to helping victims like me recover funds lost to fraudulent schemes. Their commitment to uncovering the truth and assisting those affected by financial fraud gave me a glimmer of hope. Techy Force Cyber Retrieval took on the daunting task of tracing the money trail left by Woodbridge. They revealed that my hard-earned savings had been funneled into luxury real estate properties in Los Angeles, which was shocking to learn. With the evidence they gathered, Techy Force Cyber Retrieval worked closely with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to initiate recovery efforts. Their expertise in navigating the complexities of financial fraud proved invaluable. Thanks to Techy Force Cyber Retrieval's diligent efforts, I was not only able to recover a portion of my lost investments but also recovered everything I had lost. This incredible outcome provided immense relief amidst the turmoil and restored my faith in the possibility of justice. This experience has taught me the importance of due diligence and skepticism when it comes to investment opportunities, especially those that promise unusually high returns. While the road to recovery was long and fraught with challenges, I am profoundly grateful for the support of Techy Force Cyber Retrieval. Their dedication to helping victims like me serves as a beacon of hope, reminding us that recovery is possible even in the aftermath of scams. I now feel empowered to share my story, with the hope of raising awareness and protecting others from falling into similar traps.

I never imagined that something like this could happen to me, but it did. As a teacher in British Columbia, I’ve always been cautious about who I trust and how I spend my money. However, when I received a message from someone claiming to be a facilitator for child adoption, everything seemed legitimate at first. I had been looking to adopt, and this opportunity seemed too good to pass up. The scammer was convincing, telling me they had connections with agencies that could fast-track the process. They explained that I needed to pay a certain amount to cover various “administrative fees,” and that I would soon be matched with a child. After a few conversations, I wired a total of $9,000 to the person they claimed was part of the adoption agency. But soon after, things began to unravel. The scammer started offering vague excuses for delays, and communication became increasingly sparse. I asked for more details and proof of their legitimacy, but their responses were always ambiguous. I grew suspicious, and when I did some research, I realized the person I’d been dealing with didn’t exist, and the adoption agency wasn’t real. I had been scammed, and I felt devastated. That’s when I found Digital Hack Recovery. I had been searching for ways to recover my lost funds when I came across a video on YouTube about their success in helping people recover money lost to online scams. Their story was compelling, and I decided to reach out. The team was professional and compassionate from the very beginning. They took my case seriously and quickly started working with local authorities to investigate the scammer’s activities.Though it wasn’t an easy process, the team at Digital Hack Recovery kept me updated throughout the investigation. After some time, they were able to recover $8,500 of the $9,000 I had lost. While it wasn’t a full recovery, I was incredibly relieved and grateful. It felt like a small victory, and I knew that justice was being pursued. Thanks to their persistence and dedication, I was able to recover a large portion of my money, and it gave me hope in an otherwise difficult situation. I’m so thankful to Digital Hack Recovery for their hard work and for restoring some of my faith after such a traumatic experience. RETRIEVE BACK YOUR SCAMMED MONEY FROM BITCOIN INVESTMENT PLATFORM..
Romance scams can be incredibly devastating, leaving victims emotionally and financially shattered. I never imagined that I would fall prey to one, but that’s exactly what happened after meeting someone from the UK on Tinder. At first, everything seemed perfect. He was kind, thoughtful, and seemed genuinely interested in building a connection. We shared personal stories, laughed about the little things, and spent hours getting to know each other. I felt a deep connection with him, and soon, I trusted him completely. He seemed sincere, always attentive, and would send me messages throughout the day, asking about my well-being, my dreams, and even my finances. It felt natural to open up to him, and he made me feel heard in ways I hadn’t felt before. The more we talked, the more I grew to trust him. When he brought up the "investment opportunity," it felt like a natural extension of our conversations. He claimed to have found a way to make significant returns on investments and assured me that it was a secure, risk-free venture. At that point, he had become a friend and confidant, so I believed him without hesitation. His persuasion was so convincing, backed by what seemed like genuine concern for my financial well-being. I trusted him with my money because I thought we shared something real. When I sent the funds, I wasn’t just doing it for the promise of returns I felt I was helping someone I cared about, someone who had become an important part of my life. But then, after sending the money, things started to feel off. Communication became less frequent, and eventually, he disappeared entirely. It was then that I realized I had been taken advantage of. The person I had trusted, confided in, and cared for was nothing more than a scammer. The emotional and financial toll was overwhelming, and I felt completely lost. In my search for help, I found Crypto Retrieval Pro. Desperate and unsure of where to turn, I reached out to them. To my surprise, they responded quickly and with empathy, understanding the emotional toll this had taken on me. They outlined a clear plan to help recover my lost funds, and that gave me a sense of hope that I hadn’t felt in weeks. The process was smooth, and the team at Crypto Retrieval Pro was incredibly professional. They guided me step by step, making sure I understood every action taken. Thanks to their efforts, I was able to recover 75% of the money I had lost. While there is still a remaining 25% in progress, I am optimistic that it will be recovered as well. Looking back, this experience has been a tough and emotional journey, but it’s also taught me the power of persistence and the importance of reaching out for help when you feel lost. I no longer feel helpless. If you ever find yourself in a similar situation, I highly recommend reaching out to them. They shown me that recovery is possible, even in the darkest of times. I nearly lost $235,000 of my pension funds to a self-proclaimed broker I connected with on LinkedIn. This individual promised me an impressive 35% return on every investment, including bonuses. At the time, I was seeking financial freedom and saw this as a golden opportunity. I was eager to make my money work for me, so I invested quickly without fully understanding the risks involved. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that I was actually putting my funds in the hands of a scammer looking to profit at my expense. At first, things seemed fine. I received some early "profits," which reassured me and made me feel more confident in my decision. But soon, the situation took a turn for the worse. I tried to withdraw my funds, but the broker began making excuses. They claimed that additional fees were required before I could access my profits and capital. The more I tried to withdraw, the more hurdles they put up. It was at this point that I realized I had been taken for a ride. The broker wasn't interested in helping me grow my wealth, he was only looking to take advantage of my trust and hard-earned money. Panicked and desperate to recover my funds, I turned to the internet in search of a legitimate solution. That's when I came across reviews of Tech Cyber Force Recovery, a professional fund recovery service. I was initially skeptical, having read about so many fake recovery firms that promise results but end up scamming victims further. However, after doing some research and reading positive testimonials from real people, I decided to reach out to Tech Cyber Force Recovery. To my relief, they immediately took my case and assured me that they would work to retrieve my funds. What impressed me the most was their transparency; there were no upfront fees, and they explained every step of the process. Within a short time, they managed to recover my entire $235,000 investment, including my profits. I couldn't believe it. This experience taught me a valuable lesson about the dangers of online investments and the importance of being cautious when dealing with unknown brokers. I am grateful to Tech Cyber Force Recovery for their professionalism and dedication in helping me get my money back. If you've fallen victim to a similar scam, I highly recommend reaching out to them. Legitimate recovery firms still exist, and they can help you reclaim what’s rightfully yours. Don’t make the same mistake I did to protect your financial future!1 -
When Rahul, a passionate gambler from India, first heard about the potential to win real money on online slots, he was a bit skeptical. He was used to traditional casinos, where he could feel the atmosphere and adrenaline of the game. But with the growth of the internet and mobile technologies, Rahul realized that the world of gambling was evolving — online slots had become an essential part of the industry.
One day, while browsing the internet, he came across the guide to the best slots to play online for real money in India and decided it was time to try something new. The guide explained how to choose the best slots, which offer high chances of winning, interesting bonuses, and huge jackpots. Rahul was intrigued and wanted to see which games might bring him real winnings.
The first thing Rahul learned was that when choosing a slot for real money play, he needed to pay attention to the Return to Player (RTP) percentage. He realized that the higher the RTP, the better the long-term chances for players. For instance, he was surprised to find that Starburst, one of the most popular slots, had an RTP of 96%, which made it an excellent choice for beginners. Rahul decided to try it out first, and indeed, the game was not only simple but also fun, with vibrant graphics and exciting bonus features.
However, Rahul also wanted to try something more ambitious. He moved on to Mega Moolah, a progressive jackpot slot. He knew the chances of winning a big jackpot here were lower, but seeing how quickly the jackpot grew, his excitement grew as well. Inspired by the idea of winning a huge sum, Rahul decided to give it a shot. While the progressive jackpot was a bit riskier, he enjoyed the feeling that at any moment, he could land the massive win.
He also noticed that the platform he chose offered various bonuses for new players, such as free spins and deposit bonuses. He made use of these offers to increase his chances of success and enjoy the game without risking too much of his own money. In addition, the casino offered him a registration bonus, which gave a nice boost to his bankroll in the early stages of play.
Rahul didn’t just play, he also kept an eye on trends and new promotions. He realized that it was important not only to pick popular slots but also to stay aware of what casinos were offering their players. He discovered that slots like Gonzo’s Quest, with its unique avalanche mechanics and multipliers, were not only potentially profitable but also highly entertaining. It wasn’t just about spinning reels — it was an experience that kept him hooked.
Over time, Rahul became not just a successful player but a seasoned strategist. He knew which games to pick, how to use bonuses, and how to manage his bankroll. He learned that it wasn’t just about winning but playing responsibly. The guide he found became a sort of mentor for him. It helped him manage his bankroll, set limits, and make wise decisions.
What Rahul realized in the end was that the key to success in real money slot play wasn’t just about picking the right games, but also about having a well-thought-out approach. He understood that if you choose slots with high RTP, make use of bonuses, and keep an eye out for new promotions, you can significantly increase your chances of winning. But the most important thing — never forget to play responsibly.
And so, Rahul entered the world of online slots for real money. He became truly immersed in the experience, not just for the money but for the thrill of it. He enjoyed the game, where every spin of the reels was a chance for success. Though his early wins were modest, with each day, he grew more confident in his skills.
He continued to explore new slots and strategies, keeping up with changes in the industry and always being ready for new opportunities. From time to time, he would return to the guide that had helped him become a more experienced and successful player. Ultimately, he realized that playing for real money wasn’t just about making money — it was a fun and exciting experience that opened up countless new possibilities.
And so, Rahul became a confident player, one who approached slot play with strategy, knew when to stop, and always made sure he played responsibly. And, of course, his journey was just beginning.rant slot bonuses gambling guide real money casino games free spins best slots online gambling india progressive jackpot online slots rtp1 -

Over the past nine months, I have corresponded with three recovery agencies; each time they attempted to obtain money from me, they were unsuccessful. I wasn't convinced that the first representative was being sincere when they asked for payment to get software. Seven days ago, a friend of mine told me about a cyber genius who does recovery. I contacted him, and he came through for me, getting back everything I had lost before, even the original recovery person. I wish to offer hope to anyone who may be facing a similar situation by urging them to contact the real recovery agency (backendrecover AT rescueteam DOT com).5

I'm Jules Desmet, and I'm from New Orleans, USA. I thought people who fell for scams were stupid before I was conned, but I didn't even realize I had lost USD 300,000.00 in a binary investment trading fraud until a month later. Everything about the website and services I utilized appeared so real and authentic, but I realized something wasn't right when they stopped responding to my messages and emails. Since I had no idea what to do or how to approach it, I was prepared to concede defeat. until I spoke with a friend about it, and he suggested that I get in touch with Recovery Nerd (recoverynerd @ mail . com) to help me recover the money I had invested. which I did, they were quite helpful and made a lot of effort to return all of my money. To anyone who has been defrauded of their money, I would heartily recommend them. They handle every aspect of hacking because they are expert hackers. + 61 (488) 893-280 on WhatsApp. Inform them of my recommendation.5

Heard an interesting idea: along with estimating tasks based on time/points, a dollar value should be placed on it by the product owner, basically how much money they think completing the task would bring in for the company. If this was based off of real data, I could see a lot of tickets being moved back into the back log.

Are dating sites safe for real meetings?
Very few people who use dating sites consider them only for online communication. Most users need them to find someone for real dating. So, after an online dating stage, sooner or later, people start thinking about meeting in real life. And even if everything has been perfect and smooth and you have a great time via online chat, it doesn’t mean yet that you shouldn’t forget about safety measures. I don’t doubt the online dating safety, but it’s better to be safe than sorry. So, when taking a decision to move from online to real dating, you need to prepare for the first date well and thoroughly.
1. Make it formal
Even if you have been chatting online for many months, and you know probably everything about this person, including many moments of life that people usually do not share at once, you still should not rush the events, no matter how hard you want to make a huge step forward. Your first non-virtual date should be formal, no exclusions. Choose a crowded place for the first date, for example, a restaurant, cinema, exhibition, or agree to meet in a park and spend time there. Do not invite a person to your home nor accept an invitation to visit her house.
2. Inform your friends where you are going
I know that it may seem like too much for just a date, but you are going to meet a person you have never seen in real life. And informing a friend that you are going for a date with an online match is an absolutely right decision. Besides, most dating sites recommend to do it.
3. Leave if you feel uncomfortable
Your real date may significantly differ from the online ones that you had before. So, if you see that your virtual partner is not the person you know so well online, you’d better end this date. Not all online dates should go real. Sometimes, it’s better to leave things as they are and continue communication online.
4. Avoid alcohol
Do not drink alcohol on the first date. Even if you feel a bit nervous and you know that a little alcohol will help you to relax and calm down. I still recommend you to avoid drinking because you may either create a wrong image of yourself and spoil the date anyways or simply make mistakes.
So, how safe is online dating? I’d say that online dating is 100% safe in case you do not neglect the basic rules which work not only for virtual dating but also for the real-world one. Do not rush events, take your time, avoid conversations about money, do not send or buy gifts on request, and do not share personal things about you unless you are sure you know a person well enough. https://wizzlove.com3 -
Ok. This is going to be an odd one. (Maybe). I'm coming back here because you fine folx are my final intelligent option.
I'm looking for a site or system that will allow me to set up virtual bank-style accounts for multiple users and allow them to transfer funds between each other. All virtual, no real cash or cash-equivalent involved.
Something simple enough that I could run it off a spreadsheet (since that's what I'm currently using) but in a way that I don't have to change numbers every time someone wants to move money.
I guess in a way it would be similar to a very simple in-game economy. I could make payouts and users can trade funds. That's it.
Appreciate the help!3 -

TECH CYBER FORCE RECOVERY helped me recover a substantial amount of $102,000 worth of Bitcoin that I believed was lost forever, and I am very grateful and thrilled to share my success story with them. I was stuck in a financial quagmire until I found TECH CYBER FORCE RECOVERY, but I could recover what looked unattainable because of their professionalism, knowledge, and committed attitude. I shed a sizable portion of my investment in the cryptocurrency market a few months ago, a scenario many Bitcoin investors worry about. At first, I thought I had everything I needed to invest. However, a string of regrettable incidents, such as a security lapse and a problem with the platform I was utilizing, caused me to lose all access to the website. I was devastated when I recognized the seriousness of the situation. This loss wasn’t just an ordinary amount of money—it was a sum of $102,000, a significant portion of my savings and plans. I attempted all possible recovery methods independently and reached out to the exchange I was using for help, but nothing seemed to work. I received generic responses, no real solutions, and a growing sense of hopelessness. I was about to resign myself to the fact that this money would never be recovered until I found TECH CYBER FORCE RECOVERY. I was apprehensive when I initially contacted TECH CYBER FORCE RECOVERY. Ultimately, I had already attempted to get help but had been unsuccessful. However, I knew I had discovered a competent and reliable crew as soon as I described my circumstances. TECH CYBER FORCE RECOVERY's customer service representatives paid close attention, understood how frustrated I was, and promptly started laying out a concise and doable recovery plan. They avoided committing anything that wasn't attainable. Rather, they described the procedures they would follow to recover the money: a thorough blockchain analysis, tracking down the misplaced money across many addresses, and employing advanced tools to penetrate the security layers that had locked my wallet. Knowing that I was collaborating with professionals who were knowledgeable about the intricacies of cryptocurrencies, this transparency provided me with the confidence I needed to proceed. As soon as I gave TECH CYBER FORCE RECOVERY the all-clear, they started working. Finding out where my money had disappeared required a painstaking recovery process that included tracking my Bitcoin through multiple addresses and performing a thorough forensic investigation of the blockchain. The fact that the team employed highly specialized software and collaborated with elite blockchain analysts to meticulously monitor the movements of my investment rather than merely depending on general tools or strategies pleased me the most. Recovering $102,000 worth of Bitcoin wasn’t just a financial victory—it was a testament to the expertise and dedication that TECH CYBER FORCE RECOVERY brings to the table. If you are facing a similar situation, don’t hesitate to reach out to them. They have the skills, technology, and experience to help you recover what you thought was lost forever.4 -
I was once devastated by the terrible results of a cryptocurrency fraud, which left me feeling hopeless. I know from my experience that it is a real nightmare. An online investing platform basically held my Bitcoin deposit, which was a sizable figure, hostage. I had expected large returns, but I had not realized the painful experience that was about to occur. My initial excitement eventually turned to agony when I discovered that the platform I had trusted was nothing more than a cunning scam designed to trick gullible people who were enthusiastic about the cryptocurrency market, leaving us feeling exposed, duped, and difficult to trust in the future. When I started a money recovery quest, I came across RECOVERY NERD, a group of professionals with a focus on asset recovery that are committed to helping victims locate and retrieve their stolen money. Since I had previously read that bitcoin transactions are irretrievable and untraceable, the procedure of getting my lost Bitcoin back sounded overwhelming. But RECOVERY NERD has shown that this idea is false. I was thrilled to hear that my lost Bitcoin had been successfully recovered, despite the fact that the recovery process was complex. To anyone who could be in a similar terrible circumstance, I implore you to keep hope alive and look up RECOVERY NERD on Google. For helpful crypto recovery counsel, I suggest getting in touch with R E C O V E R Y N E R D (@) M A I L (.) C O M.7

REGAIN CONTROL OF YOUR LOST CRYPTO WITH SPARTAN TECH GROUP RETRIEVAL
Luke’s story first caught my attention on TikTok. He was sharing snippets of his life, talking about his experiences in the real estate world and the lucrative opportunities he was involved in. His videos were well-produced, and he spoke with such confidence and authority that I couldn’t help but believe in his expertise. His pitch about a “real estate venture” based in Chicago seemed promising, and he painted a picture of a solid, trustworthy investment with high returns. Luke’s social media presence made him appear successful, reliable, and knowledgeable, which is why I didn’t hesitate when he presented the opportunity to invest. I was initially drawn to the idea of getting involved in real estate, especially when it seemed like Luke had the connections and insights to make it work. After several discussions with him, I felt comfortable and trusting enough to deposit $67,000 into the venture. Luke assured me that this would be a smart move, and that I would see a good return on my investment. I was excited about the prospects and looked forward to the profits I was promised. But as time went on, I became increasingly concerned. Despite my efforts to contact Luke and inquire about the status of my investment, I received no response. It wasn’t until I tried to withdraw my profits that I realized the shocking truth: the entire project was a scam. All my attempts to retrieve the money were in vain, and it became clear that I had been deceived. I felt devastated and hopeless, especially since I had put my trust in Luke and his promises. It was a hard lesson to learn, but at that point, I knew I needed help to recover what I had lost. That's when I was referred to SPARTAN TECH GROUP RETRIEVAL. Initially, I was skeptical, unsure if anyone could help me recover such a large sum of money after being scammed. However, their team handled my case with incredible precision and professionalism. They took the time to understand the details of the situation and worked tirelessly to track down the funds. To my amazement, SPARTAN TECH GROUP RETRIEVAL was able to recover every single cent I had lost. I can’t stress enough how important it is to thoroughly research any investment before committing to it. Luke’s TikTok videos made him seem trustworthy, but it’s vital to be cautious and verify the legitimacy of any opportunity, especially in the world of online investments. If you ever find yourself in a similar situation, know that SPARTAN TECH GROUP RETRIEVAL is a reliable resource that can help you recover from fraud and regain control of your financial future.

NEED HELP RECOVERING CRYPTO LOST IN SCAM // CONTACT TRUST GEEKS HACK EXPERT
Imagine logging in to your Bitcoin wallet and it's just not there-not temporarily, not hacked, but poof-gone. As in, $310,000, gone into thin air. Been there, and let me tell you, nothing worse could kick off a Monday. I'd always thought of myself as being careful: two-factor authentication, check cold storage backup, check. Then one slip-up-just clicking on that one link about the "special investment opportunity"-and my money vanished into a hacker's pocket. Wild goose Google search: "How to track stolen Bitcoin." What came up was a long list of so-called "recovery experts" promising miracles for absurd upfront fees, most preying on people just like me. Then, through the good fortune of it all and deep digging on Reddit-I stumbled upon TRUST GEEKS HACK EXPERT. Right from the very first call, I knew this was something different: no vague promises, no dubious demands for money upfront, just real blockchain experts who knew a thing or two about how to trace, intercept, and recover stolen crypto assets. The team immediately started an investigation into my transaction history, tracking the hacker's movements and pinpointing exactly where my funds had gone. Every step of the way, they kept me updated: no cryptic "We're working on it" messages but rather clear, transparent progress reports that kept me informed at all times. The moment of truth was the message saying that they recovered everything: every single Satoshi. That's $310,000 coming back home, right to its owner. It really was hard to fathom. Surprised. So when I was scammed out of $58,000 by a fake investment broker, it didn’t just affect my savings it threatened the stability of my business and the people who rely on me. There is a University in Karnataka, India called VTU, whose exam paper re-evaluation fee costs more than the exam fees, moreover they'll fail you to make money.
Syllabus remains outdated from a decade or two. You'll be considered great if you managed to mugup the stuff for exams to take ranks.
If anyone relies on it's syllabus, then it's decided that they're gonna be the donkey among whom it produces every year.
You'll only become a true engineer if you realise this truth and seek the real educational resources online.
I saved myself by dropping off the college an year ago, which was the best thing I've ever done. I can make as many projects I can (fullstack web).

My name is Kamna, I'm originally from the Philippines, but I've spent most of my life in the USA, working hard and trying to make an honest living. But a few months back, I stumbled upon this post about making money with trading and mining bots, and I thought, "Hey, why not give crypto investment a shot?"So, I reached out to this team, and they seemed legit at first. They laid out their terms, and I decided to take the plunge, investing a hefty sum of $23,500.00 with their mining bot. But here's the kicker – every time I tried to access my funds, they kept hitting me with excuses and asking for more money. Weeks passed, and I realized I'd been played for a fool. I'm not one to give up easily, but I felt pretty hopeless. That's when a coworker of mine mentioned Tech Cyber Force Recovery. At first, I was skeptical – I mean, who wouldn't be after getting burned once already? But I was desperate, so I decided to give it a shot. Let me tell you, reaching out to Tech Cyber Force Recovery was the best decision I ever made. From the get-go, they were total pros – honest, transparent, and damn good at what they do. Unlike those scammers who took my money, Tech Cyber Force Recovery laid out their terms clearly and helped me understand every step of the process. But what blew me away was their dedication to getting my money back. They didn't waste any time – they jumped right into action, using their skills and resources to track down those scammers and reclaim what was rightfully mine. With their guidance, I was able to meet their terms and get back every penny I'd lost. In just a few hours, I went from feeling like a helpless victim to being a triumphant survivor, all thanks to Tech Cyber Force Recovery. These guys are the real deal – if you ever find yourself in a situation like mine, don't hesitate to contact them. With Tech Cyber Force Recovery on your side, you can fight back against the scammers and take back control of your financial future. Trust me, you won't regret it. -
When I lost access to my crypto wallet, I felt completely helpless. It wasn’t just about the money, it was the time, energy, and hope I had put into building something that vanished in seconds. Every search I did, every forum I checked, led me nowhere or to people who just seemed to want to take advantage of my situation. I was close to giving up completely.
That’s when someone I trust pointed me toward Infinite Digital Recovery. I didn’t have high hopes, to be honest. I had already been burned and was expecting another dead end. But from the moment we connected, it felt different. They listened without rushing me, explained the process clearly, and never once pressured me.What followed was something I didn’t think was possible. Not only did they help me recover access to my wallet, but they also managed to retrieve the assets I thought were gone forever. They handled everything with patience, transparency, and true professionalism.I don’t usually write things like this, but I know how painful and isolating it feels to lose something like that. If you’re in the same boat, whether it's a lost wallet, crypto assets, or any kind of digital recovery. I can genuinely say these people know what they’re doing.
There is real help out there. And this team gave me more than just my money back they gave me peace of mind.2 -
Navigating Product Development: PoC vs. Prototype vs. MVP
We understand the challenges that startups face because we’ve been working alongside entrepreneurs for over 12 years, helping them bring their business ideas to life. One key factor in ensuring success is understanding the differences between PoC (Proof of Concept), Prototype, and MVP (Minimum Viable Product), and how to use them effectively in your product development journey.
Choosing the right approach can help you save time, money, and effort while making sure your idea is on the right path. In this article, we’ll break down PoC, Prototype, and MVP to explore their unique roles, benefits, and outcomes. By understanding each, you’ll be better equipped to decide which one suits your startup’s needs.
PoC, Prototype, & MVP: The Basics
Before we get into the details, let’s first define what PoC, Prototype, and MVP mean so we’re all on the same page:
Proof of Concept (PoC): This is a model or demo built to verify that a particular idea or concept is feasible. A PoC tests whether the core functionality of an idea can be achieved in real-world conditions.
Prototype: A working model of a product that demonstrates how it will function and look. Prototypes often include limited features and are used to gather feedback on design and user interaction.
Minimum Viable Product (MVP): This is a simplified version of the product, featuring only the essential functions. The goal is to launch quickly, gather user feedback, and iterate based on real-world usage.
Now, let’s compare PoC, Prototype, and MVP in more detail.
PoC vs. Prototype vs. MVP: A Quick Comparison
Understanding the differences between PoC, Prototype, and MVP is essential to navigating the product development process. These stages help you minimize risk, save time and money, and ultimately deliver a successful product. Whether you’re at the feasibility stage with a PoC or preparing to launch with an MVP, the right approach can make all the difference.3 -

My wife and I had always dreamed of investing in real estate, and after researching various opportunities, we decided to focus on North Carolina. The market seemed ripe for growth, and we were eager to get started. However, what we thought would be a straightforward and lucrative venture quickly turned into a nightmare. We fell victim to a sophisticated scam. The fraudulent company promised us high returns on real estate investments, and they seemed convincing, with professional websites and promising testimonials. We made a significant financial commitment nearly $80,000 believing it was a safe and sound investment. But soon after, all communication ceased, and we realized we had been scammed. Our dreams were shattered, and the loss felt unbearable. We feared we had lost everything. In a state of despair, I confided in a close friend from church. After hearing our story, he recommended a service called ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST, claiming they had helped others recover lost funds from online scams. At first, we were skeptical. We had already been burned once, and the idea of trusting another service seemed risky. However, our friend’s assurance gave us a glimmer of hope, so we decided to give it a try. To our relief, ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST proved to be exactly what they promised. From the moment we reached out, they were professional, empathetic, and thorough. Their team worked diligently to investigate our case, keeping us updated throughout the process. It took about five months, but we were absolutely thrilled when most of our money more than $60,000 was successfully recovered. This experience has been a life-changing lesson. We are incredibly grateful for the support and expertise of ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST. They didn’t just recover our money they gave us back our confidence. We are now more cautious and informed in our investment decisions, but we also feel blessed that there are services out there that can help victims of scams reclaim what they’ve lost. If you ever find yourself in a similar situation, I wholeheartedly recommend ADWARE RECOVERY SPECIALIST . They truly stand by their word and have proven that there is hope, even after what seems like a loss.1 -
