Node.JS is great sometimes. Here is my HTTP(s) server script, which is 117 generously spaced lines, including a small database of MIMEs, which serves raw files OR allows you to set up request handlers like the one you see here.

After eating nothing but fresh food/ingredients for the past year, I ordered a carne asada burrito from Cafe Rio. I remember liking them, and it tastes just like I remember, but I'm amazed at how little flavor it has by comparison. It's maybe a third as flavorful as my salads? A quarter? ☹

Looking for where a certain value is set I found that our project has a (undocumented) class FunctionsHandler which extends a (undocumented) PIHandler which extends an (undocumented) AbstractHandler which extends Object. All of them do random shit. Somebody, shoot me. Please.

People rant about missing semicolon which can be easily solved by switching to a better IDE. And here I am working on a language in which statement terminates with Dot(.) Which is so easy to miss. And worst part is that I can't change IDE.1

So I use 4 differents setups in my life nowadays
My main PC at my home, which is on Windows 7
My PC at work, which is on Windows 8.1
My Cloud PC for gaming and video editing, on Windows 10
My travelling PC, which is on Ubuntu.
The Ubuntu, it's okay, no problem. But trust me, that's a real pain in the ass to switch from one OS to another.4 -
So we had a service provider which would provide climate info. The service is paid for. Then suddenly we started getting irrational or no data. When asking the provider, he said their job is to provide the api and they're not responsible for the quality of the data which apparently comes from other places. So we basically pay for an api which we could have done ourself....2

Hey, privacy guys, I've recently decided to switch to DDG, and I just came across this DDG browser addon. It promises things like
"block all the hidden trackers", which is what AdBlock can also do, "force sites to use an encrypted connection", which makes no sense since most websites using https will redirect to https automatically, "Search Privately", which is already supported by them without installing the add-on, and "Decode Privacy Policies" which is the only feature that seems to be useful. Should I use it?3 -

One of the best things about linux is the ease with which you can update packages, just sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade. None of that stupid installer which downloads an updater which updates the program shit.

Question: which is better approach?
1. Use push notifications to tell react website that new data is available
OR
2. Use SignalR (similar to socket.io) and push data in real time?
The down side of SignalR is server needs to map connections --> use more memory while push notifications doesn't require that12 -

I was never really into programming which led to bad grades in programming courses I had to take in my college which are mostly based on C. Later, I've realized that it's an easy way to make pocket money ;) as I was a bit good at it and my learning curve is a bit fast, which made everything happen real fast. This is when I started of with Java which was crucial in building an enterprise application. This was the time I made some real progress in programming.

So, if anyone has used libpng they will note how much more crap a person has to initialize as compared to one of .net's better features which is a system.drawing instance, which can then be chained to an encoder class with very few options required, which creates well compressed images.
In c++ is there a library more like system.drawing that you people enjoy the use of ? -

I know BtrFS offers such thing like full snapshots that allow to easily transfer just the increment over the snapshot origin off to a remote server for archival, but I never fully grew to trust btrfs as a server filesystem... Its...
