Cheers to another successful iteration of The #HourOfCode, by Team ACM BVP in association with Code.org. It was amazing teaching the students of 5th standard the basics of programming and logic building, and quite surprising to see how quickly they were able to grasp the concepts!

I found a great app on iOS that allowed me to clone my Git repo, make commits, change branches, it had everything! I made a small commit and went to push to the remote server, but then it told me that I had to purchase premium to be able to push to remote. I was kind of upset, but I went to check the price of premium, in case it was a few cents. Nope, $25 just to be able to push commits. Seriously? If I was at my computer I’d be able to do this for free.7

So this week should be interesting. I am working on a (potentially) very large project for my current client and need to build a service that somewhat replicates the functionality of heroku (in that it needs to be able to load an app built in one of several languages, and spin it up in a docker container).
Unlike Heroku, however, each application also needs to be able to have a list of public and private (internal only) API routes listed and be able to dynamically route requests to the correct routes on in those containers. (Sorry if this is confusing)
Does this sound challenging and amazing? Absolutely! Do I think I may be in over my head? Yes, yes I do.

The OS asks every application within view whether it supports SVG rendering. If so, it collects the SVG rendering. If not, it uses a PNG pixelated fallback.
Most form applications and browsers should be able to provide SVG renderings of the view, right?

With firebase, is it possible to see events in realtime? I know how to debug on my device via DebugView via adb. But I want to distribute a test build to my client and I want him to be able to test events himself. I saw there is a StreamView but it allows to only select a snapshot of random user. What do the new ARM macbooks mean for developers who don’t exclusively work with Apple platforms? Will they be able to run all the current OSX software like IDEs and Docker?5

Replace all the python scripts with Perl file extensions. It wouldn't really do anything because people would still be able to run things if they did things right, it would just be a harmless funny prank

Have anyone created a git backup machine? Basically a machine in my network needs to be able to recieve git pushes from another computer.11

I would love to be able to learn mobile gaming, esp for android. I've done a little on my own, going through tutorials but not very good

Does anyone have any good crash courses in C++? I'm not looking to learn it to program in it, just to be able to read it. I want to use Qt in Python, but much of the documentation is missing or incomplete, so I'd like to be able to use the original C++ instead, but I can't understand have of the esoteric use of symbols.1

I wanna have multiple users be able to write data into one central database from their phones where the database will be storing potentially millions of data. Is it possible? If so, how do I do it?8 -
