Got call from extremely angry customer, our product is shit and doesn't work. At all. Important customer so I went to visit.
He had the perfect setup, our product to the left, our competitor's to the right.
He connected the Ethernet cable to their product, it worked. He plugged it out and connected to ours... Nothing. Shit.
I started to debug on the premises, took logs, everything. It seemed like our product didn't receive any data at all. What the fuck? Tried everything, debugged low level, still nothing. Sweating as hell.
After two hours I got a strange feeling. So I swapped place, our product to the right, competitor's to the left. Now OUR product worked, competitor's zilch.
THE FUCKING ETHERNET CABLE HAD A GLITCH. IF YOU BENT IT TO THE RIGHT IT WORKED, IF YOU BENT IT TO THE LEFT IT WAS BROKEN.
I had never seen a customer be this embarrassed in my life. He apologized to me, my boss, his boss, the Queen, everyone.
We got the contract.20 -
Today I received the best bug report I could've ever asked for..
Received an email from a member of our customer service centre containing a description of the bug they'd found and not only did it contain the steps to reproduce the bug, but a goddamn video of him reproducing the suspected bug!
The greatest feeling when the client decides to take time to make your life that little bit easier24 -
So we are a bunch of nerds huh? Without any social life? or friends?
You motherfucker, if it wasn't for the community that developers have built, you would still be living in stone age. Seriously, the way we share our hard work with each other, spending hundreds of hours on a library and making them open source on the internet, I don't think any other community out there does it so selflessly.
So next time you're calling me boring, you can take a big piece of shit and put it up in your arse.12 -
Had a PR blocked yesterday. Oh god, have I introduced a memory leak? Have I not added unit tests? Is there a bug? What horrible thing have I unknowingly done?
... added comments to some code.
Yep apparently “our code needs to be readable without comments, please remove them”.
Time to move on, no signs of intelligent life here.39 -
Today was different at work. It felt as if something was missing. The circle of fun at work that was developed over last two months among few of us was gone overnight..
Two months ago, we ( 7, including our PM ) were shifted from our cabin space to this special room by boss in hopes to keep our ass under fire and increase our productivity. Everyone in the office saw this room like a concentration camp as it was next to boss 's office. Nobody liked the idea of working in that room. We were seen as prisoners as we walked into our work cage.
In the cage, there is a fixed table. We had to adjust our workspace around that table. Everyone was just an arm length away from each other. It didn't take that long to form a bond among us. Some of us would bring snacks and we all shared it and ate it there. We had fights and discussions. The girl in my team and other team would have silly fights about their legspace boundary. The guy who is on a quest to find his life partner would seek for our opinions about his matrimony findings. That time the girls roasted guy about his patriarchal attitude. Instant discussions on current events. Movie reviews and sharing about various life experiences. Lots of such memories were formed and shared over last two months while we worked in there.
For me, it felt like living "The Office" in real life. It was amazing. I was starting to forget my dreams of self employment and plans to resign career because this human connection was addictive. We all learned a little more about each other which otherwise would not have been happened outside the cage.
We didn't realize the bubble and dynamics we had formed in that room until it was gone today when we were shifted back to our cabin space.
It was obvious we were little sad inside having to say bye to our bubble.

The biggest face palm moment in my life..
A girl in my class came up with an app idea. She wanted to make an app using which we can transfer our battery charge using Bluetooth. We initially thought it was a joke, then she went out to defend herself saying "if we can transfer files why not charge? If you're in an emergency and your battery almost drains out, wouldn't you feel nice if your friend could quickly transfer you 30% charge?"
Liked it, then give me a ++ via Bluetooth...

!!abuse
I'm a victim of rather severe child abuse, both physical and mental. I've cut my mother out of my life on several occasions, and disowned her husband on father's day a few years ago. Whenever they're in my life they make things slowly but significantly worse.
They'd been using my previous hard times to push their way into my life again, and are now trying to buy their way in -- this time not into my life, but into my 2yo son's life.
I've done everything I could to keep his existence from them. I hid pregnancy from them, dropped any mew mannerisms and cute vocabulary when speaking to them, never let them see toys or hear sounds if I needed to call them, hid the carseat, etc. I did a perfect job. Out of necessity I've been hiding my life from them since I was 13, and I've never done better than this.
But they knew his name, sex, and age. This means they went digging, and a bloody lot. There is literally no public info relating him to me, and nobody that knows us would tell them, either -- they all know and understand.
For years I've refused to tell these people where I lived, too. We've been here for over five years, and three years ago they just randomly showed up at our door. I never gave them an address, and the house isn't in my name. I never had any privacy when I lived with them, either -- literally not even in the bathroom -- but now we have our own house and they still randomly intrude? asldhflakshdf
But. This Christmas Eve, we got two large boxes (fruit flats) stacked full of presents from them. A third for me, a third for my girlfriend, and a third for my 2yo. Name tags and all.
Why can't they just leave us alone? On Christmas of all holidays? Why do they have to ruin everything? Why can't they just go away?
I've made things abundantly clear, and they just. won't. stop. I feel so angry and exasperated and helpless and trapped. I went from listening to "die in a fire" to crying helplessly on the stairs. All I want is to be left alone and not harassed and blackmailed and manipulated and guilted and given expired food as "gifts."
and before you ever even think to defend them, please re-read my first three sentences.
Just.
Merry fucking Christmas.rant merry fucking christmas all i want is to be left alone child abuse i'm just done. personal why is that so much to ask?42 -
I was sleeping.....
May dad was feeding our newly furnished outer walls of our house with water....
I was unaware of what he was doing...
I dont know what exactly he was supposed to do....
But when I opened my eyes....
I saw a stream of water straight way coming from the window entering my cpu which was placed on a table exactly at the window....
I shouted out as loud as possible....
I was so lucky I previous night I turned it off shut off the switches cuz there was nothing to download....
I deassembled whole cpu kept it for 3 days to dry....
And bam it worked like a charm....
Saved my entire life....15 -
Ah, every time I am on VPN, on every single website I have to prove that I am not a robot.
Just because I am using a VPN service to protect my information, that does not mean I am about to fuck the website up or DDoS the shit out of you. I wish the CDN providers would understand that and make our life easier.
I am seriously tired of completing the Google verification. Select the vehicle, bike, sign post, dick, vagina, Mia Khalifa. FUCK OFF11 -
The girl I loved for four years left me four months ago. It has been the most painful four months of my life and I struggled through the initial days. Both my health and my productivity suffered.
But I feel better now. Trying my best to keep moving forward and stay positive. Realised that shit happens and we can't just sudo our way out of everything.
Just wanted to share. Thank you for reading this far.11 -
My mom got cancer and passed away two years later. I had made several videos to document her life. All of that, plus photos and video of our family, lived on a backup drive that got dropped on the floor a few months after she passed away. Head crash that wasn’t discovered until it was turned on again and forever destroyed the platter. It was the largest set of photos and video I had of her. All forever gone.16

Dropped out to grow a business I co-founded. Respect to all those that finished. I was already working a six figure salary as a software engineer before I even started at a university. I decided to attend though to have a more complete resume. One day a professor explained that we could look forward to doing really "advanced concepts" like web services OUR SENIOR YEAR. That was already daily life for me. Our business was starting to grow quickly and it needed more and more of my time. I chose the business and for me, that was the correct choice.6

Just discovered that we are loading 200k for a custom font on one of our platforms...
200k FOR A FUCKING FONT?!? FOR REAL??? ITS NOT EVEN FUCKING DIFFERENT ON SIGHT!
So I sarcastically asked why the fuck are we using it and my coworker said its because the designer designed (duh) the layout this way...
Look... Usually I'm a quiet person and I don't rant in real life but this time I could not restrain myself.15 -
The sad story of a coders life in india..
So apparently my friends don't understand the basic concept of "enjoying" coding. This comes from a 1st yr undergrad. Everyone here view coding as some subject or some college course that is done just for the sake of grades. When they get free time, they waste it away smoking up at some filthy old building mocking us coders. Sadly I share a room with such idiots. The problem is that coding is something we love, something we do because our hearts yearn for it, because we are addicted. And because of my useless roommates, I'm losing out on my friggin friends. I swear we coders are always looked down upon way too much. We aren't usual nerds, we just don't believe in wasting our time on tinder or Facebook or smoking pot.10 -

Everyday, my developer friend keep complaining and talking our manager bad words behind him. So i introduced devRant to him.
Him: what is this?
Me: An app specially designed for developers for sharing their programming life.
Him: *after installed* , how can i add ur account?
Me: you cant add me, bcx everyone don't know each other here. *walk away and continue do coding*
After few days, i realized he always staring at his phone, guess what? Lol3 -
I have a dream
That we will live in a world where we can download Xcode, Visual Studio (not the xamarin bullshit) and Android Studio, all on the same machine, under one OS, without any hassle, and live a peaceful life, till our death...18 -
So we hired an intern and his first task was to change a few things in email layout for our client, which is an investment bank.
I told to one of my developers to make his local database dump and setup the project for an intern. When intern completed the task, my developer thought that title "Dow Jones index crashed" was pretty funny title for a test.
What he didn't thought through enough, is that he forgot to configure fake SMTP server and he had production database dump with real email addresses.
I had really awkward 20 minutes conversation with our client. Fuck my life.4 -
My colleges and I were talking about salaries in our company. Our team as about 10 members. Many of us are receiving interesting offers from other companies, and we concluded that we were being underpaid.
In this life, unless you ask to, no boss will raise you, even if you put some extra effort and work the shit out of you, to bring that profit, new client or something else good to the company.
Nobody was interested in talking directly about that to our manager. Just a side note, our manager is an awesome senior developer and a very nice guy. It shouldn't be too hard to talk about this issue to him.
I waited until our annual performance and salary revision to talk about it. Everyday our team talks about this. Everyone is going crazy.
So I went straight to the point, during this meeting with our manager, and said that we needed to be raised. All of us, because other companies were offering much better salaries.
He said to me: "Take this paper, write down what value should every one receive, including myself."
I took this opportunity and put down the values, raising about 600€ for each one.
I looked at it and said: "This looks ok. I'll will ask your colleagues to do the same task. Wait here."
So he went and requested everyone to do the same thing, without explaining why.
Guess what happened? Some mother fuckers actually cut on others salaries, instead of raising everyone equally.
Anyway the manager said he would show that to the CEO, and maybe something would happen.
We were all raised in the values I said so, because the CEO want us to be among the companies that pay the most.
After the backstabbing, no one ever talked about that. Except for 3 good fellow developers, that thanked me for my initiative.11 -
This is one of the biggest hack in my life:
We had a database project in our 2nd year of university where we had to create some complex database and input a lot of random data like postcode, names, weathers, age etc etc.
While everyone was struggling to copy paste random datas in the sql file to generate the data, I used an API from a website using Java to generate all the data.
People came to me and took me as a very brilliant person who does his project on time. I never told that to anyone5 -

My daughter made me two things:
1) She found a rock in the shape of an “alien” head. Knowing I love to research UFOs, she used nail polish to decorate the rock like an alien. And I just love it!
2) I have a reputation for being just like Charlie Brown with my luck in life. I also suck at math. Like, really, really bad. I was diagnosed with dyscalculia 22 years ago. It’s a running joke at our house such that I even have the t-shirt she depicts me wearing in this painting of “me” she did for my birthday.

Why even bother with article sites now? Try to search for a quick answer to a question and the only resource is some article and the user is met with:
- "Hi, here's where all your data goes. Please unsubscribe from our 937 partners and continue."
- "DO YOU KNOW WE USE COOKIES?" (Covers 60% of the page).
- "It looks like you're using adblocker. Mind whitelisting us for the 2 minutes we're in your life for? "
- "Before we show you the single sentence answer you're looking for let us promote our shitty content that you'll never click on because we hired the guy who makes shady porn links on every z-list site possible."
- "This article is in multiple parts to spread ad revenue. Click next to continue."
There's probably an extension that stops most of this but christ, it shouldn't be this bad.7 -
Hey guys. I'm very proud to present my first book. Artificial Intelligence. A book that speak about convolutional neural network from the scratch and how artificial Intelligence improve our life. It's not a technical volume only but a place to know what there is inside. Now is time to correct it...

I started writing a rant about my boss a while ago.
Never sent it.
Woke up to signal messages from her to our core team signal group that she’s been let go.
Starting to think maybe there is a god, because she was really pissing me off and micromanaging and making me want to quit my awesome job.
Also the new boss doesn’t want to bother making a job description for me but instead wants me to let him know what path I want to take, which certifications , etc.
Also got a maxed out m3 MacBook Pro today. The sleek black edition. My team is going to get our Dowding team logo etched into it.
Today was better than Christmas. Almost best day of my life.

I had this one teacher that sucked some serioud dick. She refused to teach us what she was supposed to... Java.
Her teaching habits include: talking about her life problems for the whole class until the last 5 minutes to actually teach us knowledge that usually ended up being useless, refusing to answer questions and demanding that we use Google instead, and worst of all... the way she checked our programs to see if they would work. The absolute FIRST thing that she would do when she sat down at our computer, was open up our code, to see if it looked EXACTLY like her fucking code. She wouldn't even check if it worked first...
Honestly, teacher's like this completely piss me off and the students of this class learned more from the students with pre-knowledge than they did from studying the notes that the teacher gave in the last five minutes of class.7 -
Had the first DDOS battle in my life lads, fuck me that was hard. I somehow managed to block these assholes, and some piece of shit was extorting money out of our business by messaging us in telegram. What a piece of shit.9

As an aside, the username 'admin' also had a password of 'passow0rd'...4 -
I have now worked on integrating Stripe, Razorpay and PayPal on our app.

Reading PayPal's documentation has been one of the most torturous week of my dev life.3 -
Everyday, I am amazed at developers like those here on devRant. I look up at you in awe and admiration, always thinking about how awesome your life probably is, even though you rant about it sometimes. I want to be like many of you in the future.
Thank you for improving our lives with whatever you are doing. I feel like this doesn't get said enough.
Meanwhile, University sucks (failed exams), but I am expected to graduate with good grades. Sigh. I also feel like I'm not learning enough of those things that I need to become a good dev and rather overly complicated math which I'll never need in my later life.24 -
"Here's an example code for Commodore 64. It should work on your Commodore 16 if you just leave out the POKEs and PEEKs."
Said by my sister somewhere in the mid 80s. This particular advice was silly, but I owe her for my interest in coding. It was actually her who begged our parents to get us a home computer, and took programming courses. She got bored with it though, and I got hooked up for life. Thanks sis!6 -
Wish me luck. I HAVE to launch 10 websites (yes, ten) this week and half if not all of the clients don't know their DNS accounts or log ins. I foresee a lot of long nights in my near future. Story of our life, right?5

One of our clients discovered a bug on our site about an hour ago. I wrote up a fix, and after very little testing, pushed it into production. I then immediately left to go home.
You can say I like to live my life dangerously.3 -
Parents were awesome. Super supportive, gave me every opportunity. They were open-minded loving people who eschewed personal vice and property to give us a start. They never once abused any of us, and in a family with three girls, we were encouraged to break the mould. We were shown that women could be more than just support to our spouses and baby factories, and more than part time labor in family enteprise.
Thusly my ascendance to a life as an engineer was assured and fully supported by these wonderful people whose folkright earnestness never once inhibited their progressive encouragement of our success as human beings, not just professionals.
And if you believe that, I have a bridge for sale in San Francisco you might be interested in.

I work in big data and security analytics... So naturally I am a very detail oriented and analytical person.... Something that I constantly get told off about for 'over analysing' every personal situation.... Especially by my wife!
Today she was chatting to our best friend on WhatsApp who's been travelling Europe for 6 months seeing how life is etc... At the end of the conversation I point out he never once told her where he was and avoided the questions.... And that I was sure he was gonna turn up tonight....
She tells me I'm over analysing and full of it as she's in Spain.... Not even an hour later he walked through our front door and we are in the pub having an awesome catch up!
Who said I'm over analytical! More like right!?4 -

Just finished my third year of my comp sci degree when a friend found me a position at a very small startup. I was asked to build a web crawler to take job postings off kijiji and craigslist and place them in our database for our clients to find. It didn't take long to build (even with limited experience). It was pretty shady. I didn't think i'd have to deal with the ethics of a task so soon in my new dev-life! Luckily it never made it to the live site. After that they got me to work on their android app (not so shady)
4 years later i still work for that company building apps. It's still a small team, and i love 'em 🤙1 -
Scrum is terrible. Is there another agile technique that isn't as bad? Like maybe one that will let us do our "scrum" once a week for like an hour? My current project really doesn't lend itself to once a day scrums. Literally my scrum input is "I worked on what I have been working on, and I'm gonna work on it more today. Impediments are literally the same as they always are because my life is no longer my own."5

Tutor : And the second one is "Windows XP"
Me : *MOTHERFUCKER!*

Currently trying to convert a Python (2.7) framework into its C++. Surprise, surprise, the C++ APIs are also all deprecated
"Here's a guide to creating your project using our non-deprecated framework, except it will still call our deprecated methods under the hood"
Additionally, I had to make this framework work with OpenCV, which was complaining about my C++ framework being deprecated and not being able to link to missing modules (which were already installed).
All of this has eaten 4 hours of my life, I could as well throw the laptop out of the window
"Try reinstalling the missing modules separately"

*runs build again, everything work*
I'm done for today *flies away in desperation* -

Quick backstory. I've negotiated with our customers to drop IE11 support (happiest day of my life) and decided to also refactor and update our webpack configuration. My mom bought my very Italian boyfriend an espresso maker for his birthday. He bought the best Italian espresso grounds he could find here in Germany, and we just had a cup at 10pm (our sleep schedules are fucked up).

Just got the first payment from the first client we approached. And we are charging a lot less upfront money, compared to how much time we spent on customization, since it is the first client. Took up computer course, never used nor seen a computer in my life. Was good at written tests, now first time to use the lab and first time seeing a PC
Prof: Today you're going to create your own bootable micro floppy disk. Afterwards you're going to load it with SideKick and PC Tools. Turn on the PC in front of you and insert your double density disks as soon as you see the C: prompt
Me: my disk won't go all the way in
Classmate: just push it in until you hear a click then it will lock
Me: still won't *pushes really hard until I heard a crack... my disk was inserted the wrong way... it did lock though*
Everyone in class looks at me and I start questioning my life choices. I could've sworn our Prof's face turned white -

Start to read the book from Jaron Lanier "Who owns the Future". And suddenly realize that the company which offering us "free services" is trying to build a superior model of machine learning and read all of our behaviour.
Thus, i start to logout my facebook, twitter, instagram and all of my social media. But, i'm not the lucky one who could fight this "selling data practices", because I still use devices with "Android OS". My privacy stolen & sold is inevitable. What a Digital Life!23 -
A guy came from another city, just to teach a little bit on how to improve productivity, and after almost 2 hours of him telling stories about his life and career, in five minutes he told us to delete games and facebook from our cellphones, and only focus on learning and work related apps... And He tried to sell us the complete series of books and videos with the full content on productivity in the end...4

Super awesome day today.
1. Got up early to do a risky production deploy and it worked!
2. Three PRs approved before lunch.
3. Got some time to continue learning scala.
4. Coffee and cupcakes with some refugees and discussed work as a software engineer.
5. Tried virtual reality for the first time. Really fun.
6. Helped prepare our goals for this quarter and present them to the department.
7. Department meeting had free local craft beer and pretzels.
8. Went bouldering after work and flashed a 6c.
9. Curled up with my wife watching Netflix.
I really love my life sometimes.5 -
So our main web server got ransomware'd.
By some miracle only a shared directory was compromised and not the whole server.
The server is on an end-of-life OS (Win Server 2008r2), no antivirus solution, no WAF, no log hardening or aggregation, so basically our Security MSP told us "lol good luck finding the attack origin, nuke it and rebuild it correctly this time"
Thing is IT leadership is like "Eh, no harm done, everything is fine" and want to sweep it under the rug and not report it to senior management.
How do i go about convincing them that this is actually important and for once in their life, they should give a fuck ? (This web server is the main moneymaker, it goes tits up and heads are gonna roll).9 -
So one day I sat in our break hall at school plonking away in my ssh terminal when suddenly someone walks behind me and screams HACKEERRR! When he sees that i start turning around he started sprinting away from me and for 2 weeks he would be extremely scared of me. Thant was probably the weirdest day in my life.1

Come into work, 5 of our 18 employees have been fired. The boss stares at you with a gleam in his eye. This makes me want to program incredibly technical shizzle. Of course it does. There's nothing like a supportive work life balance :/6

A question arose in our office today and I can't stop thinking about it:
If you imagine your life as a file lying somewhere, being steadily changed and expanded - of which filetype would it be and why?8 -
Kotlin and mother tongue
In my mother tongue (my first language which is Kikuyu) we do not have the letter L in our alphabet thus meaning L and R to us is similar thus pronounced the same.
Then Kotlin makes life hard for devs who got a mother influence in their speech from my tribe. Was having a talk with fellow dev who is my tribe mate and we had an issue agreeing between val and var hehe.
We had to write it down to tell which is which.
Thankyou Kotlin for making my day.6 -
I'd like to give a shoutout to the best tool I ever had when I worked in hardware and had to troubleshoot ethernet. The "RLFLTWKW". (The Really Long Fly Lead That We Know Works)
My friend that I worked with long ago just dug it out of a drawer and sent me a photo so we could remember the days when trying to figure out why Mavis couldn't get on the network anymore could be resolved by our faithful friend "TRLFLTWKW". I miss you buddy. You made life so much better.
I wish I had an equivalent to you for coding.

Basically any meeting where "the big bald" (a.k.a our manager) was present...
It always started professional and alright but it often took only around 5 minutes before the asshat started bragging about "his past accomplishments", his life when he was younger and often a lot of shit that wasn't exactly respectful to women...
I'm not an SJW, nor am I the most "female-friendly" person out there myself...
But the things he said repeatedly, made me come really close just punching him in the face. -
I got a degree in music performance. But at the end of it, I decided that I enjoyed the finer things in life, like having a house and, you know, food.
So I struggled through some entry level jobs until folks noticed I had potential, and a kindly manager paired me with our database developer. The rest is history!1 -
This might not be a perfect place to post this, but we are trying to get help from all possible places.
As you may know, Kerala, a state in India, is going through the worst time of its history. We are exposed to tumultuous and disastrous flooding which have destroyed both our life and living.
All the rivers, streams and lakes are overflowing throughout the states due to heavy rainfall. The shutter of all the dams have been opened and the water rush have washed away the towns and villages on it's flood path. The situation is much more frightening than we can explain.
Over 250000 people are in rehabilitation camps. Even hospitals are under water. The count of the lives that we have lost and people missing are still not confirmed yet. The roads, bridges and homes damaged are beyond repair. Rivers have been spilling over and the hills are crashing down in landslides to thickly-populated settlements. Our government and rescue bodies are doing commendable work for saving each and every life, but are facing severe shortage of funds and resources. This has affected the efficiency of the rescue efforts, which also contribute to the increasing death toll. It is estimated unofficially that the cost of disaster can be up to 100 billion INR, which seems to be a huge fund for our small state.
So hereby we are requesting your kind donation and aid towards relief fund of the state.Your valuable donations will grossly help us to ease our efforts for relief, re-habitilation and re-building.
I'm not posting any links where you can donate, I'm aware that you guys can google it.1 -
The past few years' events have proven more and more that we should've never allowed internet use to be tied to our actual identities.
You've probably already said something that will destroy your life.
If you're thinking "what could I have possibly said?"
That's exactly the point.7 -
Siting on my balcony, watching the lights of our capital's downtown across the gulf. Life is good...
Man I love Sundays sometimes3 -
Honestly?
No way.
No matter what you give up for your family and friends.
It's never enough.
"You're always tired"
"You're not interested enough in my/our stuff"
"No wonder you won't proceed with your carrier, when you act like that"
C'mooooooon!
Give me a chance to build up a regular life.
Most Ppl = Egotistical piles of crap.
Sorry for this dark rant :/2 -
Hey Code-tards,
We're announcing a new update to our software `FUCK YOU` to include a new 'feature' no one asked and would give a FLYING FUCK about, but we were sitting on our MOTHERFUCKING ASSES and had to justify our salaries somehow.
So this new feature really just makes your life horrible by taking away or breaking all useful features you were PERFECTLY HAPPY with before, but FUCK YOU if you aren't happy with it and don't throw half of your salary our way every month.
Remember our library you were perfectly OK with, that u integrated in your codebase? DEPRECATED from this second onwards. WHY? BECAUSE FUCK YOU ! That's WHY.
Oh yeah, and one last thing before we make your life a living hellhole, give us your SSN, credit card(s) and mortgage payments to us, you money-hungry CUNT. Haven't you heard the phrase already? YOU WILL OWN NOTHING AND YOU WILL BE HAPPY.2 -
Debugging in real life
Our family is working on the house. We have an integrated floor heating system, which is connected individually for each room. (we have three rooms, only two are connected yet)
Today we changed the main water boiler. At first it seemed like it was working, but then we lost pressure. It dropped fairly fast so we checked every sink, every water outlet.
We just missed the unconnected floor heating pipe, that was connected to the main pipe...
Its a fucking mess down here, so dont complain about you bugs, I have experienced worse!!!3 -
three days trying to code magento payment method, our seniors didn't help me (because they lazy), went to other company senior, 10min and everything works...life sucks
-
My director has started a new thing. We all have to tell what we did the previous day, what we are planning to do in the current day and if there are any blockers.
Good thing, right?
The only thing is that all these things are already plotted on the sprint board. It’s right fucking there in front of our eyes.
So what do we do? Just reiterate what is already written there. Fuck my productive life.6 -
Our community on devrant is pretty big and I'm guessing also diverse. I'm trying to find some information about developers in underdeveloped nations - how is your life compared to the rest of the people in your country? Are you happy with your pay? What about startups? Any good startups that stemmed from underdeveloped nations?2

Just watched Avatar 2 in 3D 4DX. This is hands down the movie of the year. Might as well be the movie of all movies. 3 hours of watching and going through emotional rollercoaster and havent been bored. It keeps attention. It was so beautiful. The scenes the scenario the plot the CGI. Everything. I can't believe someone made this. I dont understand how this is possible to be made. How can i come back to this reality now? It felt like i was there, in the movie. A beautiful alien world with magic, life with actual meaning, nature, the wonders of universe. Life can be so much broader than our reality. I know it's just a movie and that reality doesn't really exist. But anything you can imagine or visualize means it can exist. Somewhere out there in this infinitely large universe. Out there in some galaxy light years away or ago. This movie is a brutal masterpiece. This is art. It reminds me to be thankful for what i have. Grateful for who i have. And gave me more reason to withstand the darkest days. Because if i work hard and succeed i might end up in a universe like Avatar. At one point in time as a life form. Somewhere... more meaningful than working like a slave and paying taxes to pedophiles and criminals in our current reality. Beautiful.7

TL;DR
Don't waste your time.
My generation, 00, Mid-Millennial, GEN-Z are going through a lot of large societal, social, sociological, political, industrial and technological changes; i.e. life changes.
We are turning 18 and starting our own lives;
Work life is crazier than ever;
And the bar seems to be really high.
You could call generation Z the generation of depression.
A lot of us are having mental (and neurological) issues or find ourselves having a lot of breakdowns;
We are passioned on what we do, although we might not exactly know what that is;
The world is in our hands as we are in hands of the world.
( Refer to my previous rants. )
This might seem really pressuring or even distressing to you. It is.
But remember that there's a lot of us. We can make this lump of dirt and water a better place just and only with our collective power, before reaching further.
We are the information surfers. We can access more information than ever before.
Please don't try to limit it too much. The scandals that users of social media and modern applications have been making can be crucial to how our information infrastructures are built.
We are addicted, and if you take that away from us, we will suffer the consequences.
* Drops the mic *9 -
After some months as head of our software department and one meeting after another I finally had a chance to program again for a whole day... I instantly felt happy for the first time in a while. I think taking this role on was the worst idea I had in my life... now I have to change this3
-
Receiving so much negativity about being a developer, but is this the legacy we are trying to put out there for upcoming devs, most are us are introverts with or without being devs, antisocial to our very core, so why don't we face out this sadistic outward appearance and embrace the very mini gods we were created to be and make the very best of it and oh I have a wonderful social life with a loving and caring companion, my laptop.4
-
So it's Friday afternoon just before a bank holiday weekend here I'm the UK, perfect time for our production database to go TITSUP (total inability to support usual performance), life sucks then you die folks....2
-
Anyone else have a background in something unrelated to their current job? I have an MA in religion and public life, got a job as a test analyst and slowly ended up maintaining assets for our apps. Some days I feel very inspired and lucky I got into this industry, and some days I feel totally out of place. I don't know if I should just throw myself into it, study more on my own and make myself comfortable here or just move on and go back to grad school or something.7
-
Sometime ago in my previous job an IT prick decided to troll developers by blocking access to stack overflow in our offices. It coincided with a settlement case of a few million dollars that our company had to pay because some idiot copied code illegally.
It was one of the most confusing hours of my life : a few hundred developers looking at each other and laughing in the weirdest fashion.
We sure shat some bricks.2 -
studied node.js (express) and socket.io today, then implemented a real time chat service in our site. I can say that this is the best and at the same time worst day of my life. I started 1:00 pm and ended 4:30 am.3
-
On the week I went on holiday there was a fire alarm in our data center and the Halon fire suppression system was deployed.
I always miss the excitement.
Apparently our servers rolled over perfectly and we had less than 5 min downtime though, even with 4 killed drives in our SAN. So that's a win.
Kudos to our system administration team, especially the poor bastard who was sat in the data center with his toddler at fuck-my-life-o'clock in the morning.1 -
Holy. Shit. Tests. I am testing. All week. Nothing but tests. I am one with the spec. You know what I realised today? Tests are a bit like life. Life is just one big spec suite that takes 75 years to run. Except there's no prod environment at the end of the DMT tunnel waiting for our green pass docket to say 'take me Lucifer, you absolute visionary: I'm ready'. We're all just a spec with no application. We're doomed. Nothing matters. I need to lie down4
-
Just bought a laptop for my grandma. She is a very intelligent person, used to be an engineer and traveled across the globe, but she missed out on the computer revolution. Now she's stuck at home alone and terribly bored, so we will introduce her to the internet to socialize and join our zoom parties.
What advice do you have for someone who has plenty of life experience but is completely new to the internet?9 -
Damn he still hasn't spoken to me, must be over a week now, normally he can't stop talking to me. I must have really pissed him off telling him it is company policy to not give juniors global admin access on all our servers. He's going to have a hard time in life if he keep that attitude up.4
-
Was on call last night. I get a phone call at 3 am that all of our clients projects (including one that was launching at 5 am) was missing libraries (thus causing the sites to not work). I was able to fix all of the errors but one (missing jQuery). Couldn’t figure out how to fix for the life of me. Had to call my boss and wake her up because I forgot I could just download it from the site. Feeling like a failure for something so small.2
-
Everyday I get on my train, get off and go into the office, get some coffee, and sit down at my desk.
Everyday, all of us take a Blue Pill, and focus in on this world they give us. We don't consider this a part of our life. Brushing our teeth, flossing, making breakfast, sleeping .. those are also not our life.
Life are all the other things outside of the routine.
But we spend more time in our routine. We spend more time in our loops than outside of them.
Brushing your teeth, making coffee, coding at work, eating, sleeping: these things are your life.
All those other things, they're the escape from it.6 -
Is it okay for software engineers like us to go out to eat every day? I just don’t find the time to cook for myself. And honestly the time spent cooking would be better spent learning (judging by our hourly rate). Do you think it’s okay for devs to have such a luxurious life style (eating out is a privilege!) because our minds are so taxed on learning and creating?4
-
Do, as many of you fellow developers, I have a social pressure to do something with my life over the weekends, instead of geeking out or reading new best practices ..
So I finally decided to go see the Irish Curragh regatta organized by the Irish in Barcelona association ..
Nice and sunny Barcelona, besides the sea ..
Came home after three hours with a sun stroke, lobster face, completely blind despite the sun glasses, and with a terrible dizziness .. on my bike!
And they wonder why we spend time with our computers at home ..1 -
I wonder what the average lifespan is of a developer.
Is it higher or lower then the average life expectancy?
Does it have to do with our mindset? Or are our clients so terrible that we have more stress? If so does devRant lower our stress?4 -
Our fucking life is short, we all going to die sooner or later, thats sad. To make the matter worse, every fucking software will eventually be written in Javascript. Fuck.1
-
After responding to that rant asking our ages I realised how much fucking time I have wasted. I'm not afraid of aging, but man, if I had started learning programming two or even one year ago I'd know so much more right now. But fuck, I've been procrastinating life for 21 years. 21 FUCKING YEARS!5

"We have a rockstar react dev on our side"
*Me, after deploying my first react based app using CRA to bootstrap*

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
'I guess this is my life now' -
So we have this project that we are hosting on our testing server for presentation purposes ( already provisioning prod server ).
Our boss was presenting it to investors and my superior committed a bug there and was asking me help to figure out how to fix it (yeah.. he doesn't know how to checkout last commits in git... fml), and I realised the presentation might still be going on... so I asked: isn't boss showing it to investors?
superior: lol, idk maybe.
me: right... ( I proceed to roll back changes ) bye, have a good lunch.
And here I am having lunch considering my life choices. -
So guys you all remember or know or will know how it is to be a student. Not that much money around, have to be responsible for the first time of your life and I don't know since we're all programmers here our Desktop/laptop that we invested our money on for the university is our life.
Recently I have found out that something is up with my laptop. My Ram should have been 8GB but it shows only 4. I almost fainted, I thought the seller caught an idiot (me) and sold it like that. So I decide, for some reason, to buy 2x8gb ram so I can have 16 since its the max support of the system.
I open the laptop and what to see but my laptop had 2x4gb in there.
Regardless I installed the new ones to find out what else but my PC is now showing just 8gb.
"Calm down Nick" I said maybe GPU uses it but no it only shows 4gb ram, the same amount the laptop came with so I guess it's integrated.
So now I can only think that the problem is occurred because my Father, dropped the laptop when I specifically told him to not have it in dangerous high places. I Googled around but everyone is talking just swaping the ram chips well yeah I did that 100 times, still the same.
Tl;Dr I'm freaking out because theres something up with my laptop9 -
I hate extremist to the point where I became an extremist of hating the extremist.
If life is as simple as 1 and 0, we won't even be fucking evolved and alive till this far.
Every story has different perspectives. Different motives. Is it Kingslayer the one to blame? Is it the Queen's fault? Or was it Little Finger?
We look at one piece of the puzzle and we talk and talk and talk. Well not only do we like to talk our own thoughts out loud, we like to persuade others to join our thoughts. Just like what I'm doing now.
Does this all sound simple as 1 and 0?5 -
We rant while we hit obstacles in life/dev jobs..
Just one flu/food poisoning makes us realize we are so vulnerable at time.
We can't code our way out of that... -
I’m starting to think our “architect” hasn’t actually worked with our platform and maybe hasn’t actually programmed before. His requirements look like they were written by a high schooler bullshitting a science project. They make no fucking sense and over-complicate things on a super-intense, tight deadline. He never answers any of my questions and I’m working against him constantly to not micromanage my shit. I wish he would fuck off far away from me and everyone and my life would be so much easier. At this point, Idk how he hasn’t gotten fired. Tempted to warn management that this project is going to crash and burn hard, but not sure if that would make me look like the trouble-causer.2
-
I really wish to live in the 80s era. I guess i was born in the wrong timeline. Watching the footage and movies of that time really makes me think yall lived a far more enriching life while half of us genz scroll our life away on these fucking apps.
Also not being rich wasn't a problem as much as it is now with all the social media narcissism that is normalized with every other joe and joess labelling their puberty as some earth shattering transformation and posting all these glow ups with filters that make em look unreal and stupid shit15 -
I was failing all the test cases for a CS assignment where we had to implement our own methods for strings in C++. After an hour of debugging, turns out strings don’t end with ‘/0’ in C++ like in C.
Fuck my life.5 -
Don't like the way how to do something? Witte software for it! You need something automated? Develop the autonation algorithms! Don't like how an open source application works? Change it! Don't like how the closed source application works? Fucking reverse engineer and patch it!
Being a developer opens incredibly man doors in the world of information technology, that technology that drives our world, society and so, so many parts of everyone's life. So why on earth wouldn't you want to be a developer?1 -
"Our app needs a barcode scanner"
Fair enough, let's do this!
Android implementation using Zxing: 3 days. Ios: 9 days...
1. Dev iPhone has a subtle hw defect that doesn't let it connect to the computer anymore...
2. Our app-framework doesn't have a proper plugin for ios barcode scanners yet.
3. The first barcodescanner implementation is completely broken
4. Swift is not possible because of conflicting framework plugins
5. Build a plugin from scratch, using zxing objective c port.
6. Build problems with main app.
7. Fuck my life1 -
I used to be at a company where it was kind of expected that you worked long days, which made it quite difficult to balance work and private life. It got so out of control that I was even called to work while I was on my holiday. At first I started with shutting off my phone after work hours, but the real solution I found was moving away from that company.
Pretty much everyone at my new company just stops working when the clock hits 4 or 5 pm unless there is something critical that needs to be done. Seeing that also discourages me (and everyone else) from working long days. We are also quite open about our workload so if anyone thinks they’re overwhelmed they can find a relevant person to talk to and eventually a solution is found. The salary isn’t incredible, but the work/life balance and the benefits I get are just way better than getting paid more and living to work.
I think a lot of people go for the high salaries, most of the time disregarding the other part of the equation. If the company has a meh work culture with low regard to employees’ work/life balance, there isn’t much the employee can do besides finding a place to work with better wlb. I’d pick a great work/life balance and peace of mind to a high salary any day.1 -
Perhaps one of the most important things I will ever learn in life is how powerful regularity is. Read up on a topic once? Understand nothing? Read more random shit on it. Keep reading. And then stare in awe as things fall into place.
I'm writing this out not because people don't know this. Almost everyone knows this. But it's nice to be reminded of it. It's nice to be reminded that learning new things and honing bew skills is never easy. It's nice to be reminded that there's great knowledge and skills waiting to be learned.
This is not meant as motivation so much as it is meant as a reminder. Our colleagues may be garbage. Our clients may be garbage. Our bosses, the interns, the new dev, and almost certainly ourselves, are almost always garbage.
But if you've learned 1-2 new things today, the day wasn't garbage.
I'm just learning move semantics... -
Wtf is up with some education providers? Even the de facto industry leaders have half-assed courses. Not many are super high quality. They sound like they are speaking into a mic, forced to do it. Nothing like YouTube, more like middle-aged, depressed men with no life with no energy. I'd much rather learn elsewhere. This is akin to how some university professors give some lectures. Where are the passionate teachers of our world?
The ones that I enjoyed were: MIT, Harvard and Stanford. Perhaps it has to do with money. lol.4 -
I think that this is a rant place and we all complain a lot and shit but in the end of the day, we all love being Devs and after all, that's why we're here..3
-
Today is the first time in my life that I've received an all-caps corporate email from some team running ops.
Funny how someone thought this might make it clearer when all acronyms in our company are all-caps, making it a very intensive read which does everything except bring the important point forward.. -
I want to de-Google. I simply do not trust them anymore. They own pratically every single step of your online life. Does anyone here have tip for a good, alternative free e-mail provider? One with respect for my privacy, and not a company that makes billions of our society, but avoids paying taxes.13
-
Can we rename "Life at {Company}" ?
We don't want to live in our work.
There is a reason we call it "work-life" balance, both are different things.4 -
What if life had hooks like of Reactjs
personWillWake()
personWillSleep()
personShouldPee()
personDidPoop()
and we just run our mixins there1 -
I have never regretted over anything in my life like I am regretting taking a course named Speech Technology this semester.
Professor is nice but problem is he is too ambitious. He wants us to study a research paper on our own and implement whatever it is in research paper. People have worked years to write those research papers. How we gonna do it in one or 1.5 months. And the worst part is there are not much technical resources and documentation available to understand how to implement those things. Just abstract theories.
May the force be with me!1 -
It was one cold winter night, lonely and sad, until my mom's coworker brought to our house an old computer from their company.
It was like heaven come down to earth, when he assembly all parts together.
I was filled with joy and excitement, until I saw Windows start screen.
Worst day of my life. Linux for life! -
He was my senior and we were the only developers in our startup company. He doesn't liked flex or sass, so he never allowed me to use them which could make my life easier.
-
Today our so called "architects" chose the most complicated, most unmaintainable, prehistoric way to handle a simple, really easy REST problem...they stood around the white board, marveling at the alleged brilliancy of their imbecile drawings and tried to show us low life devs how we should implement this or that idiotic aspect of their crazy solution. We looked at each other desperately, raising our eyebrows at each new wave of insanity. No one spoke up...that includes me. I feel shit right now. Implementation sprint starts tomorrow. Thinking of grabbing a life vest and jumping overboard right now. Our customer will strangle us for this wannabe crap and I am already scared having to show the resulting API to them.4
-
I love our scm. It's such a great piece of technology. It really aides me as a developer. It really makes my life easier. It isn't missing any features. It's worth the money it costs.
All of that is a lie. -
Our clients came from abroad to have 4 days of business meetings and planing about next stage of product development. Of course they wanted to go shopping and to restaurants etc. Obviously they can not call a cab because they cannot say the name even close to its correct pronunciation. Who do you think needed to babysit them? You guessed right - me. FUCK MY LIFE2
-
I hate buzzwords so much, once in school our class of 7 people got a presentation about some program which should have made our life easier. The problem I had was that the person presented with every second word being a buzzword. At some point a just shut down my mind for the rest of it. After the presentation when the class talked about it and I refused to use the program. The whole class had to use another one because of me.2

Why don’t we make a pathos-filled video about high salaried software engineers suffering in big tech cities due to housing prices?
We can show a man who goes to some $20-30 dinner per plate with his wife and they come home to a studio apartment. They tip generously..
*Sad music starts*
“This is our life in Silicon Valley. And this is our struggle.”
We can even show one of them holding an iPhone 6s and that it starts lagging due to not getting that battery replacement from Apple.
“We can’t even dream about a house here. We have to consider going out of state where there aren’t even tech jobs out there!”
*Even sadder music plays*
But no joke. This life sucks. This is far from the dream life I dreamed off. This is reality.1 -
Huge number of "no social life" response for Wk111 question sounds alarming to me.
I totally understand how our job can make us alienated from everyone around us. That's why we need to make extra effort to be part of a society. This is the reason I love devrant, where we all can share our solitude. Having said that, social interaction in person is really important. You should try to meet new people, go out of your comfort zone, take some risk, be venurable because in the end it would be worth it.
Being alone is a very fragile state to be in, like a ticking bomb.
I'm not sure if this applies to everyone but it does to me. I would like to know your opinion guys!1 -
My brain hurts from trying to figure out this unit testing crap. Is it just me or is it really a struggle to test your front-end code? I'm using jest and enzyme to test our React app but complicated parts of code with multiple state changes or calling props is making my life a living hell. I mean I usually just debug by console logging everything and it works lol...but my fucking boss has forced me into writing this unit testing crap. FML.7

Hey Boss,
I have updated the salary from $1,500 to $10,000 to better reflect the value I provide — 160 hours per month with unlimited bitching. We are thrilled for the opportunities that lie ahead of us. Follow our journey on Instagram!
— if real life worked how venture capitalists think it works.3 -
Guys! I just want to share this very well written article. It does not only apply to music production but also to our personal pursuits in life. Hope it helps those who are struggling, like me, putting one's crap together.

We do have a social life. A very caring one that supports us when are lost, when we are confused, and when we question our life :)

So what exactly does "Learning" mean in a tech industry?
From my experience,
"learning" from college's pov
"Welcome to the class. your parents has paid us already for this. Now we are supposed to stand here for next 6 months, study very slowly and learn about the topics of our curriculum and give a test on it. we might as well make a good nice project to check our knowledge"
(worst college will also add "Sorry the above message was just fiction, i am here to drink tea & enjoy my day, while you guys are here to enjoy, mark attendance and get a degree because we only care about our reputation and we are gonna pass you anyway")
"learning" from startups pov:
"Here is an idea, here is a design, here is your months salary and here is your deadline.

If you really think about it, our body spends energy to keep us alive, so we can spend even more energy.
Energy dissipates. Thermodynamics works. Your life is a chemical reaction.3 -
If fungi were able to evolve as fast as viruses do, Earth would’ve been called ᖃᓂᐅᔮᖅᐸᐃꙮᑦᑖᒻ ᔅᑳᑦ, fungi would’ve ruled it, and every other life form would’ve been put in their zoos.
Imagine: one huge fungus, a unified consciousness, the size of our planet.9 -
Our generation has accepted that time management isn't cool. Doing things at whim and as you like is cooler and accepted to be non-monotonous.
Though haven't cracked the mantra behind proper time management, I am of the opinion that those who manage a fixed skeletal time management live a way more cooler life than others. 😅
P.S.: Time management hasn't nothing to do with being geeky or not going to parties. FYI. Time utilisation is an entirely different concept. 😉 -
I just met real life Wally from Dilbert.
Semi retired, works a few hours a week with excellent pay because he is the only one who understands the legacy mainframe.
Learning from his example we now plan to obfuscate all code before check-in. Only readable code version will be on our encrypted personal drives. -
I worked with a client, last year, over an app that I didn't think much of, and kept making YouTube videos after our contract ended. Two months ago, I got an idea of making an app for my channel and posted a roadmap video on it.
The client saw that video today, and sent me an email with legal threats, saying I can't do that according to our employment agreement. So, I deleted the videos. All good, no hard feelings. Good ol' Capitalism baby!
But then, I started overthinking about it and it made sense why most high level devs don't post tutorial content anymore and they make videos like "Day In the Life" or "Reality of programming" blah blah.
Maybe they're afraid too that they will get their channel terminated or their life would go to waste?3 -
Few weeks back our boss brought us (two devs) a freelance job, which was about writing some code for an existing website. We agreed on the price, and he gave all the details about ftp and etc. The website was in a shitty hosting. He said that he will arrange everything and then we can start working on it. He never did, so we continued our life. Today he called me asking if I had the source code of the project because the hosting company fucked up and everything is lost. Funny part is, I had the source code untill I left the job last week. I "rm -rf"ed my root when I left. I really hate him and as the time passes, karma fucks him for everything he has done to us.
-
just read about Zeno's paradox and realized, this is our life!!
The client sets requirements, we code them within n time. by the time we finish it, the client sets new requirements. so we code them again, but by the time we finish it, more requirements are set.
will we ever be able to finish it all? that is the paradox.

So a certain functionality in one of our critical systems has to be refactorised and changed to accommodate a new workflow.
So after several days of CTO, CEO talking with me, as I lead this project. We don't have a solution, so the CEO solution is asking fucking everyone in the company.
Juniors that can not tell between an interface or an abstract class come to my desk to tell me how the system should be designed.
Thanks a lot management to make my life easier. -
A team in our company has spent a few weeks building an application where we would pick what days we are remote and where we are going to work.
Now today, manager decided that on top of regularly updating that remote schedule we’d also have to ANNOUNCE in a channel on Teams that we’re remote on that day………. Supposedly for good moods and work life, this is such a waste of time I can’t even….
I should complete that the application let’s you see if anyone in the company is remote and where they can be found 🙄3 -

You can comprehend its whole construction completely in two seconds. Yet, a hamster will be entertained by exploring this thing for life.
In the same way, an advanced neural network will be able to figure out our brain's construction and explain it to us.
If you cry AI takeover, remember that just because you can kill a hamster with your hand, and it absolutely can't do anything about it, doesn't mean you'll do this.
Said neural network may have morals completely detached not only from ours, but from the whole concept of "morals" as we know it. Its goals being beyond our understanding doesn't mean it will be hostile and won't help us.
The only thing we'll lose is control. Yet, benefits are so huge that they can transfer us up within the Kardashev scale, and it may be our only way to prevent the death of our civilization.
We don't have control over our nature either. We can't prevent eruptions and earthquakes. Losing control in itself doesn't mean the thing we lost control on will kill us.

how come I can't ++ my own rant or comment
Like I'm sick of people telling me I can't like myself.
I can fucking like myself if I want to.
It's my body my life.
We live in the age of self love and all that other shit.
Let me ++ myself.
Oh wait I figured it out.
++ing yourself might lead to spam rants where people post a hundred rants and ++ themselves for points.
I propose that ++ing ourselves become legal but it doesn't effect our total ++ rank9 -
We have huuuge fuckups today with our Frontend regarding deprecated npm modules.
All of my Frontend colleagues are whining because the Jenkins build is failing.
I looked into it, there were missing dependencys that could not be found anymore.
Frontendcolleagues don’t want to do anything because it’s a „Devop problem“.
Fuck my fucking life. -
I'm a student at uni and also one of the two web devs at a website agency.
Today, I got in office and my boss told be, that he just signed off (confirmed) two mobile apps ( we're switching to React Native) and is in the talks with a few other clients, also we're like a week from starting our first big project.
Furthermore, internship deadlines are ending at the start of next month.

Programming is life ❤️
Just as life, it has it's ups and downs, but it's truly satisfying to create complex systems and get them to actually work and be useful to others.
We have only just started with the digitalisation of previously manual, tedious tasks. Imagine what all this saved time and labour could bring us to achieve in areas we haven't yet had the time to explore.
I hope mankind is ready for the ongoing and upcoming challenges regarding data privacy and security.
Nah, in reality, we will be stuck with Fakebook and Tweeter selling all our dickpics to *in Trump voice* "Chiner" and censoring unpopular opinion and discourse.
These "digital parasites" can all go sit on a rusty spike. -
Spent the last few days trying to solve a weird issue with our CI/CD pipeline for a project. Yesterday i finally gave up and told my coworker that i need a fresh set of eyes to look at this.
I leave for lunch, an hour later I'm back and brought fire and fury to the mix.. Then, 2 hours later i raised my hands and my mouth uttered the glorious words of victory: Fuck yeah, it works.
Mood was still shit though... 1 bug down, 99 life problems remain 😢 -
What the fuck is this version control thing? We managed to pass one fucking entire semester building an mobile game without knowing anything about version control. How my team finished the game? Fuck, we just place our source code and files into the folder, archive to rar and sent it through gmail. My desktop was a fucking mess, it was bunch of New Folder(x) all over the place. Fucking school didn't even taught or mentioned even once about that shit. In fact our faculties were all master degree holder. Our life could have been easier back then. So in this last school year, we gonna use that shit in our Capstone project.5

I was tasked to parse some complex output oft another application so that it can be displayed nicely in our Frontend. The output had lots of inconsistencies and exceptions - I spent the entire fucking day to wrote the craziest regex I have ever written in my entire life. With a few minor issues it worked pretty well. I was happy... Then a colleague came into my room, peeked into my screen..
Him: "You are aware you can just specify a --json flag to get json output?"
Me: "..."
*long silence*
Me: 😵🔨
Please end my life. -
Okay so I'm back at ranting now cause I got a reason in my useless life to rant lmao. I started college recently, I'm majoring in Computer Science so the thing is that, my University provides specialization in cybersecurity and stuff to third year students and our Mr. HOD of applied sciences, who is basically an ass, in charge of conveying all the details to students, puts a complete mailing list of freshmen in the 'To' box rather than using BCC... smh. *Evil laughter*1

Since it would probably mean the overthrow of human race from our throne, I think that the same scenario like in Matrix would happen. We won't go down without a proper fight, but we will go down. So I would probably apply to be their energy source (Matrix style). Main goal is, while I'm being packed in that weird eggshell, to look at it's 9001 ppi display and say: "Suck me bitch."
Best part? No more waking up early, no more responsibilities and being sucked for the rest of my life.
Fuck your petty resistance. You will never be Neo. Deal with it. -

Is it okay to rant to my boss about the situation of our team in our company? For the past 6months it’s been on and off if the software team will get laid off. They already laid off half the team. And my boss is speculating that they are keeping our team until our current project is finished.
I am frustrated because my job instability is preventing other aspects of my life (like moving out)3 -
today has been one of the worst day of my life
- the parking situation went out of hand : i bought a new car 2 days ago, nd since last 2 days i have been just taking it out to practice for 1 hr in morning with the trainer. today one of our pesky neighbour took this opportunity and parked in our spot. i had to call my friend in the early morning to get it parked in a place far away from home . my new car is parked in an unsafe place , just because the neighbour wants to make me mad 😭
- office announced that since cto is coming, you must do wfo fod next 2 days. our office is tuesday nd Thursday, now i will have to go on friday too. plus our team lead is coming, so next weekend is going to be 4days wfo. they are giving random surprises, why not just tell us that its full wfo?
- one of our neighbour's bike got stolen in plain sight. our road is usually having a lot of people going around whole day, as its opposite to park. nd those neighbours have a hon ground floor, so they are almost always outside. we have installed a camera just 2 days ago, nd that caught the incident live. i am 100% sure that if my car had been parked here today, then it would have been my car 😭😭😭
- we friends went for a night stroll in my car. the car was mine, but my friend was driving it as he's experienced. we stopped at a food joint. i took the key from him for sometime because i was having fun playing with it . then when we were heading out, our key was gone!
i almost had a mini heart attack. my friends were not messing up with me. fortunately the restaurant had cameras , so we requested for cctv footage. in the footage we found that i accidentally put the key in the restaurant menu. and that fucking guy had taken away the menu!!!
imagine if he had given that menu to someone else 😭😭😭. our car would have been gone in a moment, as we were not even seeing the car from the window. imagine if the restaurant didn't had the fucking cameras 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
life fucks super bad in a moment of truth10 -
Fuck you "hackers"! You make my life miserable...
No longer can anyone simply enter their user name and password to enter an online app...
Now we as programmers have to leap from one fiery hoop on the precipice of a death defying cliff to another acidic hoop in some mystical forgotten cavern of the underworld just so our users can log in securely to our app... sigh... I'm looking at you Auth0 and Microsoft SSO / AAD !!!111oneeleven

https://perplexity.ai/page/... love these articles. Those researchers have too much money to spend anyway. About AI companions, could be very well be true. They're not good enough yet, but I could prefer it as well. They destroyed everything with identity politics and anti human mindset. Not fault of AI. I already prefer internet relationships above real life ones. I had such a busy social life before, it was actually terrible thinking back obout it. I really started to hate society since covid and love my detached life. Some times my parents come over and make me realize that world exist snapping out my peaceful quiet, happy and stable life. Go away with your dystopia. "We are rebuilding the fire place in our house, not the way we want, but in a way the insurance company want so it's practically impossible to get a fire, and then we insure it.". Wraaaaahhhhh. That kinda fucked up logic. I can't stand it. "That's just how it works.". Waaaaaah. Society in a nutshell.

For some reason, out of no where, I made this word up. It's called Moop, and it's definition is paradoxical. It means "everything and nothing, anywhere and nowhere, etc". So one day at work one of my coworkers pushed his untested commit to the master branch of our 25k project. To make matters worse, he deleted all other branches and previous versions of the project. Our project manager heard about it and became so angry that he almost broke our no-curse-word-policy. So he called is all together to get around it so he could properly vent.
Project manager: "Guys I'm extremely angry at James (the one who pushed the untested source code to our commercial project, ruining it)
Me: well, I have a word that we can use
Project manager: what is it?
Me: Moop
You can guess what the next few weeks at work was like. All of my coworkers had to fix the crap James made, including myself. So the conversations went like this: "The mooperfluffer James should have never mooped with us!", "MOOP YOU JAMES, I HOPE YOU HET MOOPED TO HELL YOU MOOPUP!!!!!", "Hey James, guess what! I hope you moop yourself". Our boss became a strong moop user and spray moop all over James workstation. We put moop in his cup, his laptop keyboard, even his thumb drive. We downloaded moop.exe to his PC so we could moop his kernel.
Today James' life is officially mooped.3 -
random thought:
Life= tension. But you are only winning it if you don't let these tensions divert you from "what you gotta do"
Life will always find a way to give you some kind of problem. if you are not tensed about something, you ain't living a life.
But we often start ignoring our favourite habits/ aspirations/ goals in order to tackle these problems .
For eg I had made a habit of meditating for 15 mins followed by 45 mins of workout b/w 7-8pm last year. but since January 12th there hasn't been a day when i could achieve this habit simply because life kept throwing random tensions at me.
1. first my hand got fractured and i had to leave gym for a month. "no worries", i thought. "meditation doesn't require a working hand and i could do start walking as an excercise from next month"
2. then my office got wfo 3/5 days. i will get back to home after 7.30 and on wfh days my work won't finish till 8 on home days. "no worries" , i thought
"i will shift it to 9-10 every night next month"
3. then next month office got wfo 4/5 days annd family started steps for buying a new home. all time affter pfffice went into those steps/discussions "no worries ", i thought. "it wiill be over by the next month and i will be free"
this next month hasn't fome yet :/3 -
I remember an instructor of mine probably gave my class the life advice that will probably keep haunting me in my remaining two years in uni. In the class the day before our lab exam he basically ranted out what I guess we're justified issues he faced with our class(the class ranted about not getting test cases for the assignments). He then proceeded to explain for 1.5 hours why the kind of graduates we'll become we'll prolly be unemployed or doing 100$/month jobs at some shitty local software house. The whole gist of his rant was fuck your test cases, learn to code. But ever since that this thought has stuck with me, am I even good enough. I mean I don't think I'm that shit but my opinion is biased towards obviously considering myself to be above average.1

So very recently I launched a website for a nonprofit organization that I’m a part of. But there’s a black hole somewhere. Users register in order to see parts that are private for our organization’s eyes only. I made the field required - email field that is. Yet the registration is slipping through that are blank because they have no email and therefore we can’t finish the process of registration. I cannot for the life of me find the black hole. Any ideas? This isn’t my first rodeo I’ve been doing the stuff for 28 years and I am beside myself.23

The more you achieve, the more you are pushing yourself beyond (and away) from everyone else. From your environment. It's just statistics. Thus, the peak transhumanist becomes completely alone.
But, our achievements that literally fight nature are responsible for prolonging our life expectancy, eradicating disease, all other heights we ascended upon.
Transhumanism and environmentalism are opposing philosophical concepts. But with the very first paracetamol pill you voluntarily took because you chose not to feel the pain, you accepted transhumanism.
Transhumanism and environmentalism are opposing philosophical concepts. If so, environmentalism is death.
Transhumanism is life. -
Well, so this time, it's not a joke....it's a moral kinda thing.....
Why do we want something?
We want something because we have the desire to know about it or we have the desire to achieve something or prove ourselves superior.
Why do we want to be superior?
People are so getting into the phrase, "Life is a race, if you don't run, you loose", that they unknowingly have the desire to be superior and fight for it.
This is totally not true. Life is not a race...it's an experience....we learn from life....we learn from everything and everytime we act. Life is not an assest that you race with. So, then why to race? Enjoy life. Gather true knowledge, not the so-called school's exercise book "knowledge".
Until we defeat our desire, till then, we are evils even though we think that we are good.
Desire kills, Defeating desire will give you a true life to live.4 -
Im not asking for much really, I just think life would be easier if our environments were named something like integration, test, preprod etc instead of just numbers.
But no apparently we need to have a meeting to discuss the approach.
FML all i want to do is rename some environments, not re-structure the whole deployment process. -__-1 -

Agency life where the dev department plays 3rd string to our Creative/Experience team and our Demand Gen team. Mainly because the leadership has no idea how to sell dev work?
Oh, and when dev work comes in, its on a super rushed/compressed time table where we've over-promised, and under-charged.
No margin on this project? Yeah, no shit cause you sold it for 50% of what we told you it would cost, dumb ass.2 -
A couple of us found out (with evidence) that one of our senior faked his way through his thesis by outsourcing his entire project to another company and using our student publication as a cover-up.

Yesterday, I told CS that it looks like a member created the account that the member claim they didn’t create. Member probably forgot or didn’t realize what they were doing.
CS asks me if I’m sure because this member is one of their higher tier members. Lol no matter what your membership level, user error happens. Because they can afford to drop $10k on a membership doesn’t make them infallible. But rich people are something else and don’t care about logic. So I understand why CS is hesitant to tell a rich person that the mistake wasn’t on our end.
Definitely wasn’t our mistake or a hacker. This specific user account’s creation has details that indicate user creation rather than someone else making it.
I feel bad that CS has to deal with the communication, but I’m also glad I escaped that life.1 -
!tech
( sorry to those who have to bear with my non tech posts that i put too often. my tech/work life has been fine so far, its my personal life that is fucked up and venting it anonymously gives me some peace/solutions)
I sometimes feel that being brought up in a loveless home where i have only seen parents fighting and throwing abuses/stuff at each other, i haven't got the knowledge about how to raise a loving family.
The only goal we seem to have is to fight out our misery-filled, middle class life, and keep running for getting wealth.
Le my parents:
- Go outside in evenings/weekends? nah why bother, we don't wanna see each others' faces
- Spend time/ share room together? nah why bother, we don't wanna see each others' faces
- Family trip? nah why bother, we don't wanna see each others' faces . We can take our trips separately with our our religious/work friends
- visit relatives? nah why bother, relatives are bad.
I am not blessed with a lot of relationships, so i like to compare each of the bonds i got. I am playing the role of a son/single child and friends of some dudes. I am currently not playing the role of a lover, so i don't know about it, but my relationship with my friends is more exciting than mine with my family.
Those guys just wanna do everything together if it had been in there hands. 3 out of our 5 guy gang has joined the same group, 2 of them live on the same rented floor , and 2 of them work in same office. They want to keep their 24 hrs as a chill gang hanging together, but we somehow have restricted our group hangouts to weekends.
Even then , whenever we meet, its like we won't go back till 2 am. useless banter, cussing, daring stuff , etc. life is exciting with my boys .
I feel this kind of energy is something i would want in any of my relationship. but i have no idea how people create this magic in groups of 2. i am usually the most boring person to talk to, when i am alone. because i simply don't know how 2 people who vow to spend their lives together can keep each other happy, interested and content
I feel this is such a disastrous thing in my life that i won't be able to sustain any relationship/family even if i somehow get one :/2 -

Dear future me,
Please avenge us. Ruin the lives and reputation of specific individuals of the university professors and assistants that have ruined my life. Damage they had done is fatal and irreversible. Consequences for their actions are mandatory. For our own sanity, I am looking forward to seeking vengeance that will only ruin their careers, and from there let the karma finish them off.
Life is unfair, but why is it unfair to good people? I'll be the batman and balance this unfairness to make the other side of individuals experience it, too.
If i caught a virus and was unable to study for exam and failed because of that and you say life is unfair, you are inhumane.
If my mother got diagnosed with cancer and i was unable to study for exam and failed because of that and you say life is unfair, you are inhumane.
If my dad experienced a stroke and i had to be with him to make sure he's fine and unable to study for exam and failed because of that and you say life is unfair, you are inhumane.
If police knocked on my door and said my whole family just died in a car crash and i am unable to study out of depression and failed the exam because of that and you say life is unfair, you are inhumane.
You are inhumane because you have a choice to show that you as a human have compassion and understanding in tragic life situations and therefore work something out regarding exam, instead of making that student fail and walking over corposes like a cruel emotionless devil.
But they wont. They wont show it because they're inhumane. They're working for the matrix and not for the people. All of the professors and assistants.
I truly hope, and wish to create a curse, for all professors and assistants in all universities, for some tragic life event to happen to them and their family members with a death outcome, so I can also tell them life is unfair.
In fact, I'll step it up a level by enforcing "life is unfair" policy onto them by anonymously, slowly, ruining their careers from the shadow. Internet is a wild place that can ruin someones life. They have pushed me off the edge of my morality. They have turned me into Joker.
I mentioned earlier that I'll let karma take care of them, but what if I am, their karma? They have created a Joker. They wanted this war. These robots we call "professors and assistants" would rather die for the matrix than show human compassion.
What i plan to do to them might be illegal; but so is illegal to be inhuman fascists. Therefore like a batman, I will fight crime with crime. I cannot let them turn me into a Joker, because the Joker ruins lives of the good people, too. Batman ruins lives of the bad people only.
Their careers will be ruined, their life will be falling apart, they will continue to live but this time in a special kind of pain, the same pain they have caused to me, just so they can maybe understand how does it feel when you're hopeless and being told "lifes unfair".
It is.
Sincerely,
Me from the past, good luck1 -
For a while my social life was fuck all due to death marches and poorly managed projects. I’d be so exhausted by the time the weekend rolled around that I just didn’t want to do anything.
Sticking to a healthy work schedule and prioritising family and friends after an 8 hour workday did wonders.
On weekends I just tell me wife that I want to look at technology x for a couple of hours and we plan our day around that.
Also, finding social events I want to attend like DnD made a huge difference. -

Worst idea of my life, which I thought was awesome back then: Create our flagship application in Delphi 10 years ago ... D:

I must confess that my world was shattered by the lingering suspicion of betrayal. Over time, I began to notice something wasn’t right. My girlfriend, who had always been open with me, started becoming secretive, especially about our finances. Small discrepancies turned into larger concerns, and I discovered that she had lost over AED 55,000 to scammers, funds from our life savings in our joint account. At first, I thought she was hiding something about us, but then I realized the truth. She had been keeping the extent of her financial losses from me and had become deeply involved with fraudulent schemes. Living in Dubai, where financial security is critical, the loss of our life savings was devastating. After weeks of growing distrust and confusion, I stumbled upon Digital Web Recovery. Their impressive track record, stellar reviews, and commitment to discretion gave me hope. I took a leap of faith, and it turned out to be the best decision I’ve ever made. The team at Digital Web Recovery demonstrated exceptional professionalism, empathy, and expertise. They helped me navigate through the complex situation with care, ensuring my safety and anonymity. Using advanced data retrieval methods, they not only uncovered the full extent of the scammers' activities but also helped me recover all of the lost funds, every single dirham of our AED 55,000.Though the revelation was painful, it gave me the clarity I needed to help my girlfriend and regain control of our situation. Digital Web Recovery gave me the answers I desperately needed and empowered me to take action. If you find yourself in a similar situation, suspecting deceit or dealing with financial loss in a joint account due to scams, I highly recommend consulting the experts at Digital Web Recovery. Their professional guidance on data retrieval and financial recovery helped me restore our life savings and rebuild trust. Thanks to Digital Web Recovery, I was able to regain not only the money we lost but also the strength to move forward. Website; https: // digitalwebrecovery. com WhatsApp; +13433003465 It wasn’t just about recovering funds; it was about regaining control over my life and my future. The emotional toll of the situation was heavy, but their support allowed me to take back what was rightfully ours. BTC Recovery Success with CERTIFIED RECOVERY SERVICES: My Experience and Recommendation
As a marine biologist dedicated to rescuing coral reefs, every dollar I saved was destined for the future of the ocean. I had amassed $575,000 in Bitcoin over a period of years to underwrite an ambitious reef restoration program. I needed to expand our coral nursery program, build more artificial reef structures, and fund education in coastal villages. This cryptocurrency savings nest egg was oxygen for marine ecosystems on life support, more than just money. But the sea, as much as I love her, is merciless. On a trip offshore to survey bleaching patterns, I took my hardware wallet along for safety. Break-ins at our field station in the past had made me paranoid about leaving it behind. Tucked in what I thought was a top-notch waterproof case, the device was clipped inside my gear bag. Following a day beneath the water, capturing coral decay and fending off territorial triggerfish, I returned to the boat, exhausted but satisfied. That satisfaction evaporated when I opened the case to find that it was flooded, the alleged waterproof seal having failed. My hardware wallet, the key to my entire $575,000 fund, was waterlogged beyond belief. Saltwater had permeated every seam, corroded buttons, the screen wavering like a distant lighthouse giving up the fight. Panic surged through me, stronger than any riptide. I imagined our nursery growth plunging into the abyss, our educational efforts silenced, and our reef-restoring efforts shut down in their tracks. Despair lingered like a storm cloud until another researcher on our vessel mentioned something about CERTIFIED RECOVERY SERVICES. He'd read about their success with water-damaged gear in a tech newsletter geared to field scientists.
With satellite internet barely functioning, I emailed frantically. They replied promptly and reassuringly. Their engineers, who had experience in rescuing wallets from every possible disaster, collaborated with our boat's sporadic schedule. They guided me through salvaging the device by drying it slowly using silica gel packs (which were fortunately part of our camera gear). Once I returned to land, I overnighted the damp wallet.
What happened next was nothing less than marine magic. The CERTIFIED RECOVERY SERVICES team painstakingly disassembled the corroded machine, navigating around burnt circuits and pulling out the encrypted keys. In twelve nail-biting days, my Bitcoin was fully recovered.
Our coral nursery is now thriving, our artificial reef program is expanding, and our team teaches kids about the value of ocean stewardship. None of this would have been possible without CERTIFIED RECOVERY SERVICES. They didn't just recover crypto; they recovered a future for our reefs, one polyp at a time.

BEST BITCOIN RECOVERY EXPERT TO RECOVER LOST OR STOLEN BITCOIN; USDT RECOVERY EXPERT HIRE CYBER CONSTABLE INTELLIGENCE
Working in conflict zones means improvising. When normal banking channels failed us, our NGO relied on Bitcoin to buy medical supplies directly. It worked, until a missile strike took out our field office, along with the hardware wallet that stored $410,000 in funds. Overnight, our ability to deliver life-saving aid is paralyzed.
Amidst the chaos, I reached out to contacts in the humanitarian world. A UN aid worker whispered a name: Cyber Constable Intelligence. "They're the ones who can help you recover lost crypto," he assured me. Despair and hope clashed as I dialed their team on a satellite phone in a conflict zone.
What followed was nothing short of a virtual rescue mission. Cyber Constable Intelligence's blockchain forensic experts didn't simply "recover" our assets; they improvised a fix like battlefield medics performing triage. They tracked our wallet's blockchain timestamps, reconstructing lost credentials from synced backups and transaction history.
Working under direst duress, we communicated information between spotty internet and backup power sources. Cyber Constable Intelligence team members improvised, rendering security protocols impenetrable as they worked through the jurisdictional nightmares of working within war zones. Every update from them was a pulse that kept our mission alive. After our last available backup failed, they instituted a complex cryptographic reconstruction technique, a process I still don't understand, but it worked.
Twelve days later, my satellite device displayed a message: "Access restored. Funds secured."
It was not money. It was bandages, antibiotics, clean water, and hope. Thanks to Cyber Constable Intelligence, we replenish our medical supplies, ensuring that patients, innocent victims who had been caught in the crossfire, received the treatment they deserved.
More than restoration, they advised us on decentralized storage and multi-signature security for long-term durability. We don't simply utilize Bitcoin presently; we utilize it astutely.
Now, each time I sign a crypto transaction, I remember that minute, receiving life-saving medication that might not have come but for this group.
In times of war, not every hero wears a uniform. Some carry keyboards, hunting down lost assets and securing humanitarian aid. Cyber Constable Intelligence not only restored our crypto, they kept our mission in the battle. If you think Bitcoin is just an investment, think again. To us, it's a lifeline.

IT WAS GREAT IDEA IN CONTACTING FOLKWIN EXPERT RECOVERY FOR RECOVERING MY LOST ON CRYPT0.
My husband lost a staggering $37,000 in a forex trading scam, and for a while, we believed that our hard-earned funds were gone forever. This wasn’t just any money, it was the savings we had set aside for our honeymoon, a gift from family and friends after our recent marriage in 2025. We had carefully planned for our first vacation together, excited to start our new life as a couple. When the scam happened, it felt like our dreams were shattered, and we were left feeling devastated and helpless. Like many others who fall victim to such schemes, we spent countless hours searching for ways to recover our money, but everything seemed futile. After exhausting all options on our own, I decided to conduct more in-depth research on recovery services. Among the numerous options, one name consistently stood out: Folkwin Expert Recovery. They had a strong reputation for successfully recovering funds from scams, particularly those involving forex trading. Despite hearing of many similar services, something about Folkwin Expert Recovery gave me hope. Still, I was understandably skeptical. The idea of recovering lost money seemed like an impossible task. But after a detailed conversation with their team, and after explaining our situation in full, I felt a sense of renewed optimism. They assured me they could help, promising to investigate our case thoroughly and work toward recovering our funds within 24 to 72 hours. True to their word, Folkwin Expert Recovery acted swiftly. Their team worked diligently, reviewing all of the transaction details, communications with the scam broker, and any additional information we had. They kept us informed throughout the process, providing updates regularly, which helped alleviate some of the stress we were feeling. To our astonishment, within just 72 hours, Folkwin Expert Recovery
had successfully recovered $32,000 out of the $37,000 we had lost. The results exceeded our expectations, and we were overjoyed to have a significant portion of our funds returned. What truly impressed us was the transparency and dedication Folkwin Expert Recovery demonstrated. Not only did they recover a large portion of our lost funds, but they also restored our faith in the possibility of recovering money from such scams. We had almost given up hope, assuming that we would never see our vacation money again. But Folkwin Expert Recovery made the impossible possible. Their professionalism and commitment to their clients were evident at every step, and we couldn’t be more grateful. If you've fallen victim to a forex trading scam or any similar fraudulent investment schemes, I wholeheartedly recommend reaching out to Folkwinexpertrecovery(@)tech-center. c om OR WhatsApp +1 740-705-0711. Their team is experienced in recovering lost funds, and based on my experience, I’m confident they can help you as well. Don’t lose hope contact Folkwin Expert Recovery, and you may find yourself recovering your lost funds just as we did, restoring not just your finances but also your peace of mind.
Warm greetings,

Motivation is not only about setting goals but also about understanding the emotional and psychological factors that influence your ability to achieve them.
Motivational Interviewing: A Collaborative Approach to Change
Motivational interviewing is a client-centered, evidence-based therapeutic approach that focuses on helping individuals find the motivation to make positive changes. Rather than being confrontational or directive, motivational interviewing encourages self-reflection and enhances an individual’s intrinsic motivation to change.
At Greene Horizons, we use motivational interviewing to help clients explore their ambivalence toward change, resolve internal conflicts, and ultimately commit to their goals. This approach is especially effective for individuals dealing with addictions, mental health challenges, and those who may feel stuck or uncertain about making changes in their lives.
The key principles of motivational interviewing include:
Expressing empathy: We listen without judgment, acknowledging the challenges you face.
Developing discrepancy: We help you see the difference between where you are and where you want to be, increasing awareness of the need for change.
Rolling with resistance: Instead of confronting resistance, we work with it, helping you explore any fears or doubts about change.
Supporting self-efficacy: We empower you to believe in your ability to succeed and make positive changes in your life.
Our skilled therapists are trained in motivational interviewing and can guide you through this powerful process to help you find clarity, build motivation, and take actionable steps toward your goals.

You know it can be said that all our faculties have been developed from a hodgepodge of codeveloping chemical and physical processes
Consistently being reduced to survival only scenarios greatly diminishes the smartest of us
I mean I watch these people glut themselves on betraying their young but what else defines them ? They just wear the skin of the prior generations but they have none of the core attributes
If you ask me they have no core attributes worth mentioning and they’ve made me simple too
And why do they expect the sacrifice of actual life for the one thing that it combined with that life would remove all the problems ? Don’t get it -
I’m Kazim Shah, and joining Shine Humanity has been one of the most fulfilling decisions of my life. Every day, I witness the impact of compassionate healthcare, from free medical camps to life-saving treatments. One of the biggest challenges we face is the diabetes health crisis in 2025, which is affecting underserved communities at an alarming rate. Many individuals lack access to essential screenings, medications, and care. But with the help of donors, volunteers, and dedicated healthcare professionals, we are changing that. Join us in our mission to provide critical healthcare services—because everyone deserves a chance at a healthier future.1
