I agreed to log on via team viewer.
To cut an already long story short, there was this April Update which sent a bug all around the globe.
This bug exposed an internal drive Windows uses to do its Windows stuff - whatever it is.
Regularly these kind of drives are hidden from users eyes...
I finally solved it by applying a rollback on Windows.
The update is gone and with the next update there will be a fix from May to hide this drives again.

One guy left the company and left me nodeJS project to maintain. It has a file with just a few lines short of 1700 lines of code.14

Background: Since last 3-4 months, was working with a senior engineer remotely on a project.
Present: Currently, I am Out of Office and yesterday late night, I opened my official mail and after sometime I got an email with subject: GOODBYE!
It was from him. The same senior engineer with whom I was working. I thought it was a joke. But people don't joke when they send such emails to a huge group of people.
I never knew he was going to leave so soon. I wanted to learn so many things working with him. I used to ask him the silliest doubts ever.
I still wonder why he left the company. I have so many questions to ask him.
I am sad. I am feeling left alone.
It's awkward that today, this very moment, I can't ping him anymore forever.
It's obvious to be more professional and such things are normal.
But, I am fresher and my first project was with him. So, it's kind of tough for me too.
I know this will help me to grow up stronger and teach me that time isn't constant and we need to always be ready and use the right time preciously and deal with the "constant change".
And also, wherever he goes, my best wishes to him and I hope I will meet him some day. -

I hate phonecalls so i rarely do them. Today my project lead called me with a question and he just couldnt hear me. This was my fourth phonecall in 2 years time with this phone. And everytime they couldnt hear me. After switching to speaker they do.
Today I found out that my pinky is blocking the mic since its on the left side of the charger port. I guess Ive got a phone for lefthanded people. I hope I remember this in six months. -

Bank blocks card because of potential fraud, so I can’t pay the insurance and have to take another rental car..

2.4k deposit so I can’t pay the insurance for 2k..
At least 0.4k left and first salary comes in, but since I’m new, I’m on emergency tax so I only got about 1.5k.. will get the taxes back later but for February I’m so fucking broke..
At least everything is paid now so I can start to safe from 0 again...

In MSSQL, can SELECT JOIN (SELECT ...) queries actually end up using disk space rather just RAM?
I ran one of those last week and now am wondering if that's the root cause of a huge DB file with a lot of unallocated space.
Seems it may just use an existing DB file and expand it (without cleaning it up afterwards) but not sure...
Any ideas on how so this works and well show to make it so disk space used for queries get cleaned up properly or easier to just shrink or remove without touching the DB file there's actually used for persistence?8 -

My vps made me crazy last night when it showed me no space left on device, & i was like wtf dude merely using 2gb out of 50gb. The providers support almost convinced me to do a fresh install my already heavily configured vps. Then all of a sudden the vps back to normal this morning and I again was like wtf dude my night wasted on this shit 😒3

Who else uses "Down, Left, Ctrl + V" instead of "Down, Left, [specific character]".
Because the distance from Down, Left, to the specific character is way far and slower. -
The most annoying thing ever: Chrome changing the backspace button to now use Alt+Left. I get that pressing it while losing focus on an input is "terrible", but by just pressing the forward button again, the form is back in its original state! At least add an option to change it back without the need of any extensions! It is driving me absolutely nuts, because I often just press the backspace to go back, instead of going all the way to the top left of my screen and pressing the button. And it keeps messing me up!! It would take me at least a few weeks to get used to this!1
