A little story that made me really happy. A friend and me was building stuff for fun with electronic in it.

A neighbor child (14) came over and wanted to join us and build also stuff for cosplaying. She is almost done with her stuff and waiting for the painting. My friend needed to program stuff for his arduino. She was watching him.

I was just in the attic to look for some old school stuff for my sister. But then I found an old carton with old stuff from me. In there I found my very first programming book. "AntMe!" to learn Visual Basic with ants 😄

Throughout the years I slowly bought more Arduino boards and stuff. But then RadioShack closed shops in my country. So my inventory has remained relatively small.

But now I have been given a ton of stuff. Boards, sensors, wires. More than what I know what to do with.

Someone, please give me a cool project to make.

My biggest insecurity is that I missed out on new technology. Usually I play some focus music, say "let's do this!" to my devduck (Dave), and start working on stuff. Oh, and lots of coffee.

I used some kind of application on a compact disc (don't remember what it was) and it asked to reboot in order to do some stuff before Windows loads. Apparently in order to do so it overwrote MBR along with my TrueCrypt loader. Didn't make rescue disc, so lost about 300GB of stuff.

I hate managing interns at my company more than half of my day goes into solving their silly issues and the rest i work on shitty small stuff. And the worst thing is they get to do all the machine learning and user behavior analysis stuff, in which i have more insight on. Being a full stack developer it sucks managing other devs. 😔

Tryna decide what I want my next job to be, I currently span some performance stuff, some data stuff. I'm torn between going hardcore c++ high performance compute or pure data science.

one of my previous employers would just box up your stuff, if you were fired or transferred. Once, a teammate came back from lunch to find her stuff boxed up and thought she was fired, when she'd actually been promoted to another team for a job she'd applied to months before

I occasionally wonder if my supervisors think I'm an idiot because I'm constantly implementing stuff the wrong way and asking if I am even on the right track to a solution.

I guess that's what internships are for but I hate being dependent entirely on other developers. I may not know the best way to do stuff but I do know how to do stuff :(
