!n case someone is unfamiliar with this joke ::
A man flying in a hot air balloon suddenly realizes he’s lost. He reduces height and spots a man down below. He lowers the balloon further and shouts to get directions, "Excuse me, can you tell me where I am?"
The man below says: "Yes. You're in a hot air balloon, hovering 30 feet above this field."
"You must work in Information Technology," says the balloonist.
"I do" replies the man. "How did you know?"
"Well," says the balloonist, "everything you have told me is technically correct, but It's of no use to anyone."
The man below replies, "You must work in management."
"I do," replies the balloonist, *"But how'd you know?"**
"Well", says the man, "you don’t know where you are or where you’re going, but you expect me to be able to help. You’re in the same position you were before we met, but now it’s my fault."6 -
A small story on digitalization
I had spent an hour in the bank with my dad, as he had to transfer some money. I couldn't resist myself & asked:
Dad, why don't we activate your internet banking?
''Why would I do that?'' He asked, ''Well, then you wont have to spend an hour here for things like transfer.
You can even do your shopping online. Everything will be so easy!
I was so excited about initiating him into the world of Net banking.
He asked, If I do that, I wont have to step out of the house?
''Yes, yes''! I said. I told him how even grocery can be delivered at door now and how amazon delivers everything!
His answer left me tongue-tied.
He said ''Since I entered this bank today, I have met four of my friends, I have chatted a while with the staff who know me very well by now.
Two years back I got sick, The store owner from whom I buy fruits, came to see me and sat by my bedside and cried.
When u r Mom fell down few days back while on her morning walk. Our local grocer saw her and immediately got his car to rush her home as he knows where I live.
Would I have that 'human' touch if everything became online?
I like to know the person that I'm dealing with and not just the 'seller'. It creates bonds. Relationships.
Does "online" deliver all this as well?
Technology isn't life #BeHuman
For those who are not getting the context, this things happen in India. It is truth not a fact.19 -

"But this technology is too old to use nowadays."5 -
It's more than a story bear with me.
Open source world is big enough to scare a beginner like me, which happened when I started with my first contribution in the year 2015. So many platforms, lot of organisations, freaking images of coding languages, pull request, issues and bugs- these all were enough to freak me out.
The only thing which motivated me to stay and know about the open source technology was to develop my first program using python. I was in great difficulty as when I started writing my program I was stuck after almost every two to three stages of compilation, so I needed guidance. I started my search on Github by creating my repository, pushing my code and following developers. I was amazed to see such a good response from people around me, not only they helped me to debug and fix the issue but they also helped me to understand and build my program from a new perspective. Daily discussions and communication, new issue build up and solving them by the traditional way of GUI further motivated me to learn the Git using the command line tool.
I still remember the year I worked on a repo using the command line tool, it was amazing. Within months or few, the fear of open source tools, community, interaction all just flew away. With this rant I will like to suggest all the beginners and open source enthusiast to just step a foot ahead and ask openly to the world- "I need help" and believe me you will be showered with information and help from all the world.
Happy contribution.

Dumb ass management. Picked a different technology for us without consulting our technical team...3

Good morning everyone^^
I just heard my company is doinig some weird shit.
1. We RECOMMEND doing backups on a USB stick (our customers get a cheap giveaway when they purchase our products).
2. We sell farm controllers with less power than a fucking arduino as "Top Notch technology". (single core 1Mhz, 128MB RAM)
We Devs are not supposed to understand this logic. We shall only "make it faster". If proper solutions are suggested it gets shrugged off as "expensive".17 -

Before starting to program I was impatient with the progress of technology, now that i've started learning to program I'm intimidated by the progress in the tech industry.1

OMG! I fucking hate it when people who have no idea about technology whatsoever have a conversation about some 'technical stuff' and I've got to listen to trash like:
A: "It's a wonder that all of this stuff actually works!"
B: "Yeah, I heard that it all connects over some kind of WAVES or something like that..."
FFS! I know you can't know everything, but please for the love of god ... just don't!

Based on how many people are violently upset at Apple for removing a 60 year old piece of technology from their phones I'm guessing this is the ideal types of ports for some people. Because why try something new when you can stick to legacy technology?

I used to work for a Mexican bank in Mexico, as a developer I opened (and use) an account, since the bank was not famous(most of its business was with the government), going to the bank and see no waiting lines was an advantage, so I started using it as my only bank account even nowadays.
Now I live in NYC, and some years later I see on the news the bank merged(was absorbed) with another bank, 'sounds good, I don't care' I thought.
Well, I open my online account and the nightmare begins:
1) Redirection to the 2nd bank page
2) My credentials does not work
3) Call the original bank(no answers)
4) After several calls and days I got a phone contact
5) 'well, try all other passwords you have' (transaction passwords, operative passwords, login passwords, etc), among many other stupid answers, which by the way, were preceded by infinite question about the 2nd bank, like:
- when did you open the account with the 2nd bank?
- what is your 2nd bank account number
6) after 20 calls like that, they asked for documents, information and screenshots, and send all that to the 2nd bank tech help email.
7) After several days a person responded: 'Go to your bank(which fucking bank?)' and ask for a new user.
8) a ton of calls to know what bank I was assigned
9) called the bank: 'well, you have to come in person(no exceptions allowed) and request to close your 1st bank account and open a 2nd bank account' (I am not sure if that is gonna work)
All the technology nowadays and still I have to travel thousands of miles hoping this 'solution' works.
to be continue....2 -
Oh mum...
My mum comes to me asking "What's happening on my phone? What's this little thingy?" (typical question)
*looks at (android) phone*
*sees downloading icon*
Me: "It's downloading something..."
*pulls down notification bar*
*I see Facebook app updating*
Mum: "What is it?"
*3 seconds later*
"Oh it's the Facebook"
Took her literally 3 seconds to recognize😅
Love my mum though😊😏3 -

Sad story of how software die 👻!
When do you call a technology obsolete 👴?

Windows user: when antivirus 🕵 can no longer protect you!1 -
Got my wife a new Roku stick, which we needed and she was very excited about. She asked me to set it up. I said it might take a little while. She said she didn't mind.
Setup was easy and straightforward, but of course involved pairing the actual device with its remote. Then I had to create an account on the computer, since the previous device was her sister's.
It was at this point when she got mad, like really mad, that setting up a new device had to be "so complicated." Okay, first off, this is the happy path. Absolutely nothing went wrong, couldn't ask for better. Second, I told you it might take a little while, and it hasn't even been 5 minutes. This, I even asked you to make sure you wanted to do this now. And you're not even doing it, I am. Which I don't mind, but don't get mad at me that it's not literally magic.8 -
It doesn't matter what platform, OS, framework, language or technology you use.

The most common mistake people do is trying to learn some complex cutting-edge technology from scratch. Cutting-edge technology is just combining old technology in new ways to solve new problems. To learn it, first learn existing technology. Existing technology is here to stay, it's well-explained, and it's usually much simpler to understand. Then the rest will just click.7
-
I wanna learn something new but everytime I take one course I stop at the first video u.u

There's simply not enough time in a lifetime to master everything one would like to master. And it's even worse in technology, where by the time you're getting close to being good at something, a newer technology is pushing already to replace that one. WTF!?3

I normally just have nightmares about the projects I'm working on, especially when I struggle with a bug for days. Those are usually about just me stressing out about it. However, I have a lot of dreams about computers/technology, not necessarily coding-related:
- datacenters were just potato fields. If you go work the field, you'd go data mining
- in Biology, when being taught how having children works, you only tell that "parenting is only chmod-ing the rights of your children until they become the owners themselves"
- IP addresses with emojis instead of numbers were a standard now and they actually managed to replace IPv4, because everyone was so into emojis. They named it IPvE

My friend recently went through technical interview for a very specific position in very niche technology. Which I will call technology A.
He is an expert in technology A, but interview was in technology B. All questions were about technology B, which has very little to do with technology A.
After few days, my friend received written replay. In section about technical knowledge about technology A, interview wrote his opinion based on technology B. Even if he didn't ask any question related to technology A, because he has never heard of it. Of course my friend didn't get that job4 -

A report from The Register :
ICANN has halted the proposed $1.1 billion sale of the .org registry to a private equity firm. The DNS overseer has been under growing pressure to use its authority to refuse the planned transfer of the top-level domain from the Internet Society to Ethos Capital. "ICANN ultimately bowed to the US state's top lawyer when it concluded today it "finds the public interest is better served in withholding consent."
The decision will likely spark a mixture of relief and celebration from millions of .org domain holders, including some of the world's largest non-profit organizations, many of which were certain that their long-standing online addresses were going to be milked for profit by an organization that never fully revealed who its directors or investors were.2 -

When you are new to a technology and language, but have to make full use of its feature.
You know, make tests, implement production code, planning deployment, build a CI. All by myself.

Just started using ZeroNet(https://zeronet.io/) and it's a nice technology, well thought, but it seems like it can't expand itself or find it's way in the end. That's sad. I don't know if this will improve over years or be forgotten.

What do you think about cryptocurrencies and Blockchain technology?
question bitcoin blockchain crypto technology cryptocurrency cryptography crypto currency cryptocurrencies10 -
I remember when I was installing shareware in early 2000 and it always prompted me to install spyware sidebar, search bar for my web browser.
Another screen during installation was desperately trying to change my start page and adding couple of bookmarks for me so the developers got paid.
Tucows I think was the leader of those installers and I didn’t mind to get software for free and click to uncheck checkbox to not install optional crap.
At least it wasn’t a virus and viruses from 2000 were not that harmful, most of them were just annoying.
Fast forward 25 years and apparently those developers are now working directly for the web browser companies. Instead of trying to force me to install unwanted stuff it comes bundled with browser and I can’t uninstall or disable it.
And now it got me to think if history repeats itself and if technology bubble is going to pop sooner than later. All this money would be gone but I can’t find the place where it can happen and how it can happen.
But it’s going to happen for sure.2 -
For years I've been working with SVN, It was great! and I though nothing can be better.
I've heard about git, even used it for some time but more or less like svn.

Why are GIFs still a thing?!? I mean don't get me wrong, I don't have anything against short, audioless videos but why GIF?
GIF only provides a lossless per-frame compression so the performance sucks really bad. For example a 1 MB GIF converted to MP4 is only 100 KB.
So that's why they take longer to load and have so bad quality.1 -

I will take the frustration of seeing technology not properly working in Germany with me to the grave. Ticket automat crashing if you directly select the destination, but if you follow the instructions on their piece of paper stuck to the automat to go first to the "Regionaltariff" button and then select your destination, that works. If you have to put a piece of paper explaining your software, because if you do it otherwise, it crashes, maybe you should think about the fact that it sucks.

Who else was fascinated by the DOM when first encountered? When I first began my journey as a programmer I found that the term Technology was always set in strictly a physical sense in my mind; that is until I started to realize that every language is in fact a piece of technology, which is supported by massive libraries. Then I realize that the DOM is another standardized technology that structures the web. And of course as I gained more insight and got introduced to more "technology" the clearer it became. I'm just glad we have so much selection in terms of this technology. Whether it's a language you want to use, a particular OS, Vm, framework or the plethora of others begging to aid and assist.

I think alot of things supposedly already being done and the profit based bent of the world discourages young developers who don't know that half of the touted projects are crap in many cases and there is still large amounts of room for development.
Not to mention the glaringly obvious security hole and the need to build teams that understand the comp from top to bottom so certain scheisters can't push bullshit on us that would take a single person too long to understand every aspect of. -
If you don't have enough curiosity to read and know more about technology and how to implement new stuff then i have very bad news for you

What are the most common used technologies in workplaces around you?
Everywhere here I see an endless sea of .NET with ocassional streams of Java and some islands of php on IIS or Apache on the server, with ASP/JSP or Angular and jQuery on the client side.
Workstations are 100% Windows(10 or 7, with some legacy XP here and there).
Also most servers run Windows or some Unix version. Linux only for web servers and various system appliances.
Node.js, Ruby on rails, Django/Flask, React.js,Vue.js, Mac/Linux endpoints are only rarely used by fringe hipsters like me and my friends.3 -
1) Simple, secure and powerful technology for website user interface design which will replace HTML, CSS and JS.
2) Simple and practical technology to be able to utilize HTML for all kinds of documents which will replace paper page based document formats like PDF and Word.
3) One technology for native mobile app development to rule them all. So that it's not necessary to use HTML and JS.1 -

The User Interface Errors I experience on Debian, are so non senscial sometimes. I used to be a big Open Source guy over Windows, when I first started Linux. But after deep contemplation I think having monetary incentive is the main force for creating new technology in thos decade. As technology has advanced t seems like the open source community experiences 10 new errors for solving a problem. I think in the 90s atleast Linux seemed to make more gains, while this may be due to a smaller community or technology being more limited o dont know. I due think though technology abstractions seem to be more necessary these days, which saddens me.3

While working in Auckland, I found myself immersed in a vibrant tech environment. One of my coworkers was particularly passionate about a new blockchain project he had been developing. His enthusiasm was infectious, and after several discussions about the project’s potential, I decided to invest 20,000 NZD.At the time, I was aware that investing in blockchain and cryptocurrencies could be risky, but the vision my co-worker painted was compelling. Over the following months, the project gained traction and my investment skyrocketed to an astonishing 500,000 NZD. I felt a mix of excitement and disbelief; I had never expected such a substantial return. The success of the project fostered a sense of camaraderie among the team, and I believed we were all aligned in our goals. However, things took a turn for the worse. As the project matured, disagreements began to arise within the team. My co-worker and I had a particularly intense argument over the direction of the project and some strategic decisions. Frustration boiled over, and in a moment of anger, he made a decision that would change everything: he locked me out of my email account. This wasn’t just an inconvenience; it meant losing access to crucial information, project updates, and the ability to communicate with clients and partners.Feeling isolated and frustrated, I reached out to friends from work, hoping to find a solution. They listened to my predicament and provided me with some suggestions on how to regain access. One of them mentioned Hack Savvy Tech , a service known for their expertise in retrieving lost accounts and data. Skeptical but desperate, I decided to give them a try.I contacted Hack Savvy Tech , explaining my situation in detail. Their team was remarkably understanding and guided me through the recovery process step by step. They employed various techniques to restore my access, and within a few days, I received the good news: my email account was successfully recovered. Relief washed over me as I regained access to not just my email, but also my connections and the wealth of information I had been locked out of. While my relationship with my co-worker remained strained, I was grateful for the support of my friends and the expertise of Hack Savvy Tech . This experience taught me the importance of maintaining strong professional relationships and having a backup plan when investing in volatile projects. The lessons learned from this journey would stay with me as I navigated future opportunities in the tech world. -
How to Hire a Trusted Cryptocurrency Recovery Expert/Hack Savvy Tech
I initially learned about the Bitcoin world on a chilly, rainy evening. Although I had heard rumors of this digital revolution, I wasn't too enthralled with it until a friend showed me Ethereum. The prospect of a transparent, safe, and decentralized financial system was enticing, so I jumped right into the blockchain technology realm. With a newfound enthusiasm, I began investing in Ethereum, carefully researching the market and making strategic decisions. The initial months were filled with excitement as I watched my portfolio grow, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride in my newfound financial acumen. However, my elation was short-lived. One fateful day, I received a call from a supposed "financial advisor" who claimed to have a foolproof investment opportunity. Blinded by greed and the promise of quick returns, I trusted this individual and transferred a significant portion of my Ethereum holdings to their "secure" wallet. It wasn't until days later that I realized I had been the victim of a sophisticated scam. My Ethereum was gone, vanished into the ether, and I was left feeling devastated, betrayed, and utterly helpless. In the aftermath of this devastating loss, I found myself in a state of despair. I had poured countless hours and a substantial amount of my savings into building this portfolio, and now it had all been snatched away. The emotional toll was overwhelming, and I struggled to come to terms with the reality of my situation. While struggling with the fallout from the scam, I came across Hack Savvy Tech website, which specializes in recovering stolen or lost cryptocurrency. I initially doubted that they could actually assist me in getting back what I had lost. But since I couldn't see any other workable possibilities, I made the decision to contact them and ask for help. The Hack Savvy Tech staff was kind and understanding, and they got to work on my case right away. They paid close attention to what I had to say, examined the specifics of the loss, and came up with a thorough plan to find the stolen Ethereum and start the recovery procedure. What followed was a meticulous and painstaking investigation, as the Hack Savvy Tech team delved into the complex world of blockchain forensics. They utilized advanced analytical tools and techniques to trace the movement of the stolen funds, navigating the labyrinth of digital wallets and exchanges in pursuit of my lost Ethereum. The process was not without its challenges. There were moments of frustration and uncertainty, as the trail often seemed to go cold or lead to dead ends. But the Hack Savvy Tech team remained steadfast, driven by a determination to see justice served and to restore what had been taken from me. The moment I received the news that my Ethereum had been located and was in the process of being returned to me was one of pure elation. It was as if a weight had been lifted from my shoulders, and I could finally breathe a sigh of relief. The emotional rollercoaster I had endured had been worth it, and I was grateful beyond measure for the dedication and skill of the Hack Savvy Tech team. As the funds were gradually repatriated, I couldn't help but reflect on the lessons I had learned throughout this ordeal. The experience had been a harsh reminder of the risks and vulnerabilities inherent in the world of cryptocurrency, and it had taught me the importance of exercising caution and diligence when it comes to my financial investments. But upgrading my laptop-that's where things felt right, somehow. I mean, who doesn't want better performance and more storage with all the bells and whistles? The thing is, the excitement then turned into dread because somehow along the way, transitioning my stuff onto it, I had lost access to my Bitcoin wallet. Having $220,000 on the line, what had initially seemed like such a smart investment was about to turn into one of the most stressful moments of my life.It started innocently enough: I backed up what I thought was everything, making sure my wallet file was stored securely-or so I thought. Booting up that new laptop and attempting to access my funds brought it home like a ton of bricks: the wallet file was nowhere. I combed through backup drives and cloud storage for hours, but it simply wasn't anywhere to be found. I felt that all those years of careful planning and saving had been undone in an instant.
Along came HACK SAVVY TECH. Since my very first point of contact, this team made me feel that I was not alone with a situation such as this. They explained in clear, easy-to-understand terms their process that gave me great confidence in being with the right company. Professional yet empathetic since the beginning. They started working and kept me updated through the process every step of the way. They did not just plunge into the problem but methodically analyzed what must have gone wrong with the data migration. After a few days, they were able to recover my wallet file and successfully recovered my $220,000. My feeling at this time is not describable with words. But HACK SAVVY TECH didn't stop there: They took the time to school me on best practices going forward with upgrades. I now know how to backup and migrate sensitive data without courting disaster anew. They provided tips on keeping crypto assets safe during tech transitions-something I'd seriously underestimated. It taught me a valuable lesson-that no matter how you think you have everything covered, a second pair of expert eyes can sometimes make all the difference. Thanks to HACK SAVVY TECH , not only did I regain access to my funds, but I also gained knowledge on how to go about future tech upgrades with confidence. No more risky overhauls for me; now I'm better prepared, and my wallet is safer than ever.1 -
How Professionals Helped Me Recover My Blockchain Assets/Hack Savvy Tech
It all started with one of those simple, too-easily-imagined mistakes: a spilled cup of coffee. It was one of those mornings when nothing seemed quite right; I was running late, juggling a dozen tasks, and trying to multitask on my laptop. In retrospect, I really should have known better than to have my coffee perched precariously next to my keyboard. But at that moment, I thought, "What's the worst that could happen? Apparently, the worst was catastrophic. It spilled over and poured a wave of coffee right across my desk and directly into my laptop. The screen flickered, made this sad little noise, and then went dark. My heart sank because my laptop wasn't running some random program; it was logged into my Bitcoin wallet, holding $300,000 in savings. From frenetic drying to praying to the gods of technology, I did everything possible, but to no avail. My laptop was toast, and with that, my wallet, too. As the full impact set in, I went into panic mode. The thought that such a careless accident with a coffee spill had just cost me such a sum of money almost couldn't be believed-but here I was, living it. Enter HACK SAVVY TECH: I found them after reading forums and reviews, hoping for a lifeline. From the very first call, they treated my case with empathy and professionalism. I finally felt some hope as they calmly explained the process of recovery. They reassured me that my situation, even though highly unfortunate, was not hopeless. They were right, because in the end they have been very involved; now, at all points they have kept me informed, always talking transparently and clearly. Some days that seemed endless passed when, after calling home with feelings of despair and pain, came the news so longed for from this expert: my wallet had fully recovered, including each single Bitcoin. I still cannot believe it.Beyond saving my funds, HACK SAVVY TECH taught me an invaluable lesson: coffee and crypto do not mix. I’ve since set up a spill-proof desk setup, invested in external backups, and implemented better security measures. While I’ll never forget the sheer panic of that morning, I’m eternally grateful to HACK SAVVY TECH for turning my nightmare into a cautionary tale with a happy ending.

Hi, I was a victim of a crypto theft involving a Pink Drainer, which resulted in the theft of my Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC) from my Polygon network. The experience was incredibly frustrating and distressing, as I had no idea how to recover my funds. Unfortunately, by the time I noticed the theft, the funds had already been drained to an address that I had no control over, making it seem like an irreversible situation. The attack happened when I clicked on what appeared to be a legitimate link. I didn’t realize at the time that it was a phishing attempt designed to siphon off my private keys and access my wallet. The Pink Drainer, a type of malicious script used by attackers, is specifically designed to exploit such vulnerabilities in crypto wallets. The moment I realized that my WBTC had been drained from my Polygon network, I felt completely helpless, as I didn’t have direct access to the thief's address, and there was no way to reverse the transaction on my own.At that point, I started searching for ways to recover my funds, but most resources only offered generic advice that wasn’t practical in this particular case. I quickly realized that if I wanted to have any hope of getting my assets back, I would need professional assistance. After some research, I came across a reliable and trusted recovery team called Hack Savvy Tech. Their expertise in cryptocurrency recovery, especially in cases like mine, seemed promising.I decided to reach out to Hack Savvy Tech, and I’m incredibly grateful that I did. Their team of crypto recovery experts was able to help me trace the stolen funds and identify the path the funds took after they left my wallet. Using advanced tools and techniques, they were able to track the transactions on the blockchain, helping me understand where my WBTC had been sent. More importantly, they worked tirelessly to assist me in contacting the necessary parties and even interfaced with blockchain analysts to help facilitate the recovery process. Thanks to their efforts, I was able to successfully recover my stolen funds. The entire process took some time, but Hack Savvy Tech dedicated team provided regular updates and kept me informed throughout the process, which gave me a sense of hope and relief during an otherwise stressful time. If you’re ever in a similar situation, I highly recommend reaching out to a trusted recovery team like Hack Savvy Tech . Their professionalism, knowledge, and expertise were critical in helping me recover my funds and regain control of my crypto assets.
