Just installed Keras, theano, PyTorch and Tensorflow on Windows 10 with GPU and CUDA working...

What do you call a developer that fixes bugs or add enhancements?

For example, I have , like two projects, none developed by me, I have to add enhancement/ fix bugs when the issues/change-requests arrive.

Now I am preparing my cv and I am like what do I write for these particular projects?

Don't feel right writing developer for these projects since it gives the impression I developed the entire thing. Co-developed does not sound right either. Maintenance? Now it feels more like server operations than anything to do with code. Bug Fixer? Sure got a nice ring to it, but it does not feel professional.

I like it, it looks good, but now I'm trying it at 100% scaling (15" screen).

Dual-booted Gaming Computer: A Saga of Frustration, Alcoholism*, and Relief

So a while back my gaming computer was booting Antergos Linux and Windows 10. It took me a few months, but I finally became fed up with Windows 10's bullshit of putting ads in the OS (Suggested Apps, OneDrive, etc.) and reinstating all of their defaults after an upgrade (Edge, privacy settings, the People Button in 1709).

So, I backed up my data and installed Windows 7. Windows 7 has a bright, consistent look, and in my opinion still holds up as a good operating system.

However, I couldn't boot into Antergos after that. For whatever reason, no matter how hard I tried, I just wasn't able to. So, I decided to reinstall. Might as well, anyway.

Now, I have an nVidia card, which does not play well with the OSS drivers, so it's basically normal for me to have to unplug my card and use the on-board graphics. So I do that and boot into the LiveUSB, do the install, boot into the desktop, install the nVidia drivers package, shut down.

I reinstall the card, turn the computer on... and nothing. Just a black screen with a flashing underline. I can't even get into a TTY session.

I ended up trying a few other distributions--Gecko Linux, Arch Labs, Manjaro--but all had the same issue. I was about to give up, but decided to try Antergos one more time, but with the newest install media.

And it worked! I was so freaking happy! I can finally play my Linux games again!

That moment when you worked with bug 2 days and now it's a feature! I need to drink more coffee because it helps - Ready to do more!

I will never complain about Windows forcing updates onto users. Ubuntu seems to do that also by default (19.10 or 20.04 not sure rn).

The vm had asked some times but now it seemed to just do it upon boot. Agonizingly slow and at the worst moment!!!

Do something simple like a basic crud app on web api format:
Do it with full authorization and authentication.
Start hard. Do it with pure golang using NOTHING but the std libraries.
Now, do it in a magic mvc framework like Rails or Laravel
Now do it on dotnet core
Now do it in django rest.

Watch the differences in all of them, sell your soul to something and now do it in Clojure. If you do it on a Scheme dialect or on Common Lisp my CMS admin will suck your whatever you have. Dude seems to be pretty good at it, we are trying to keep him from pulling tricks on the street but he insists.

Then add a React client with Typescript to get them basic ass endpoints to display nicely.

It should give you a fuckload of perspective amongst the different tools and way we do things and might make you appreciate the differences in paradigms required(pro points for doing modular in c# dotnetcore using different classlibs for the major points of the application using some crazy pattern like the mediator pattern)

I now have a pure hatrid for Oculus. I decided to faff around in unity with our Oculus dk, so i went to oculus.com. Downloaded their software and installed it. Then it asked me to restart my pc. So i did. Now my FS is completely corrupted and computer is bricked 😡 (Luckily i do weekly backups) I am never ever trusting Oculus again

Today I found out something called Alpine.js. And I absolutely love it. It is really easy and simple to make apps with it. A simple to-do list app that I done just now is a HTML file with only 30 lines.

Yes, it takes some more time initially but it pays back in the long run especially because now we have a terrible mess of server environments..

To create a really amazing OSS, I don't even care if anyone uses it or if it becomes popular or anything, I just want to do it to prove to myself that I don't need to get paid to write good code, I can do it to make the world a better place too.

That big moment of relief: had a project idea I was way too excited about, that involved a bunch of things I have no idea how to do. of course nobody knows how they built their AIs. they just throw things at it and if it increases accuracy of results then that's what they do, but there's no methodology to the madness of building these things. so maybe the devs are just changing random parameters to try to keep up with management's asks but instead they degrade the accuracy of the results over time
